TBL 10×04 – First Competitive Weigh In!
Previously on The Biggest Loser we met our new set of families, welcomed Tiffiny Hall back to the show and the trainers put on a bunch of weight by eating everything their families were eating before coming on the show.
Tonight, the very first competitive weigh in for the series. But first we find out who wins the plane pull and gains a 5kg penalty to dump on another family, something which will surely not cause any drama amongst the teams.
They’re teasing an elimination tonight but it’s not happening until tomorrow. All we’ll find out tonight is which two families will be choosing who to throw under the bus.
As the plane pull stuff starts up again the Pestells are stuck metres from the line. After a bunch more effort and pulling and arguing they get the plane moving again and manage to just pip the Auvales, who finish their pull not long after.
Terry of the Pestells realises they’ll have to pull the plane again yet, he’s a bit less excited but glad the team got it done.
TBL 10×02 – Princess Fiona Has Arrived! (Also, Weigh-Ins)
Previously on The Biggest Loser the trainers met their families and ate a whole bunch of unhealthy food and look, we’re all really interested in the show but IS TONY ABBOTT STILL PRIME MINISTER?
I’m writing this recap instead of popcorning the political happenings. Sigh.
Anyway, tonight we have our collection of new fatties weighing in for the very first time. No recordbreakers this year, by the sounds of it, but one is well up there. Johnee, probably? Does anyone think any of them could top him? Certainly not one of the girls, maybe one of the Jofre nephews?
Also we finally meet new host, Fiona Falkiner! She’s perrrrrrrrrrdy. She’ll be introducing the first challenge of the year, making their way to the new Camp Biggest Loser.
First group we see walking in to be weighed up is the Pestell family. They’re at the local surf club with a big crowd of onlookers/wellwishers. That’s got Mel a bit nervous because everyone’s going to know just how big she is. Jodie doesn’t really want to go in front of them at all.
Shannan says he’s enjoyed the company in the past week immensely, but the diet has been terrible. He’s most concerned for single Mum Ali and wants them to take control before the bad habits become too ingrained in the next generation.
Ali’s the first to weigh in.

9×32 – The Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia – Finale Recap
Previously on The Biggest Loser THE ENTIRE FUCKING SEASON!
Tonight it all comes to an end with the finale. Which champion from Ararat will be the most championest of all?
Eleventy weeks ago Shannan and Steve kicked off a revolution in Ararat, dubbed the fattest in the country. Given the tools and assistance they were set the goal of losing 26,000kg during the course of the show. A challenge they accepted and passed!
Lots and lots of recapped footage starts the show. Then a reminder it’s down to Sharon, Craig, Katrina and Toni for the finale tonight. They’ve worked hard for their town, hard for their families and hard for themselves.
And for the finale they’re at the town hall in Ararat. Hayley comes out on a big fancy stage in a hot pink dress to have a natter to the crowd about how the champs have done so well, worked hard, had some fun along the way. But it comes down to tonight, who did the best? Lots of cheers as Hayley announces all the final four’s names.
9×31 – The Penultimate Penultimate and The Punisher!
Previously on The Biggest Loser… eleven weeks of torment! Fourteen champions from Ararat (and Kevin) have been whittled down to just five.
Tonight they’re doing a revisit of The Punisher challenge from week one, with added training thrown in to make it a last chance training session.
Then a final weigh in and a final elimination. Only four get to make it to finale…
And about that. Finale will actually air over TWO NIGHTS. Tuesday and Wednesday next week. God knows why, the ratings have been appalling, just get it over with!
Sharon’s pretty happy for her final training session since she won’t have to go through that pain again but also sad because there’ll be no more Commando. They’re close, she says.
This is also the first training session since the Train the Trainer bit. So it’s going to be a good one.
9×29 – The Not-So-Awesome Foursome
Previously on The Biggest Loser Caitlin was eliminated after coming in last on day 1 of the Super Challenge. Kerry won immunity by coming first on day 2 and now…
… now it’s a race between Kerry and Craig to see who’ll be eliminated following day two. Craig’s been sent running the wrong way and so Kevin’s got a chance to catch up. Is he too far behind?
Also tonight it’s time for another weigh in and elimination. The Awesome Foursome may have to vote out one of their own. How great would that be?
Anyway, Craig’s still trotting the wrong way and Sharon finally realises she’s sent Craig the wrong way. She’s saying oops, her bad, etc. But it was on purpose and she’s trying to claim she didn’t think anyone would pay attention to it.
Craig looks to have a pretty good sized lead on Kevin so he’ll still be safe and Kevin will be going home. Awwww. Kevin got to the end of the jetty just as Craig gets up on the boat. Sorry Kevin, eliminated yet again.
