TBL 11×12 – Training with AFL footballists, then cooking them lunch!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Jake was sent home at the elimination after being unable to beat either Josh or Nikki.
Josh still has a broken rib so he’s still going to be pretty useless at everything, but he’s still there!
“Coming up”, I guess Mr Voiceover Man got the memo. It’s not a night time show anymore! Anyway, the teams are going to train with the GWS Giants and then cook for them.
But first, back at Camp Biggest Loser everyone’s still feeling a bit glum after Jake’s elimination. Everyone liked the big fella. Amy and Lisa-Faye (not a real name) are sad they didn’t get to say goodbye properly. Nikki tells them that he broke down outside the arena and couldn’t come back in.
TBL 11×11 – Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight…
Previously on The Biggest Loser Amy smashed Simon in the team head to head challenge.
“Tonight”… oh Mr Voiceover Man, has nobody told you? It’s 1pm on a Monday afternoon!
Anyway, in this episode last chance training, a heated weigh-in and a shock elimination in the arena. Exciting!
Team Blue relays the exciting news they won another challenge, head to heads against the Orange team. Shannan’s obviously very impressed by Amy beating Simon, asks how her shoulders are. “Sore”, admits Amy. Worth it for the 1kg advantage they’ll have at the weigh-in later.
Lynton’s a high achiever, Shannan says. He wanted to be a pilot, then an instructor, but as a result his health has suffered along the way. But he’s seeing a changed man now. Lynton’s moving a lot more like a 27 year old, says he’s going to join a gym when he leaves. He’s generally feeling a lot more positive about the direction of his life.
The Biggest Loser Transformed dumped from 7.30pm slot
It seems Australians didn’t really want a more realistic version of The Biggest Loser with viewing figures crashing last week. According to TV Tonight it was fifth in its timeslot this week. Fifth!
As a result the show will move to a 1pm afternoon slot, Monday to Thursday. The show was airing replays at that time previously, so it’s not displacing anything while it takes the long march to the grave.
It’s unclear at this stage what will happen with the plans for the finale as viewers were meant to be voting for their favourite transformation to decide the really big prize at the end, instead of just basing it on weightloss percentage.
The Recap will continue to do its thing despite the change in timeslot, so if you miss an episode of the lowest rating series in the show’s history you can still catch up right here!
TBL 11×10 – Head to head tug offs and more!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Orange lost a team challenge and had to send someone home. And for some reason they chose to send Sophia home. Bit weird.
Tonight Blue Team training is “old school”, Josh gets his results from whatever his medical thing is about and later there’s an arena challenge which promises to “boil over” in some way.
But first, Nikki’s waking Lisa-Faye (not a real name) up and it’s rather quiet. No Steph, no Sophia. Only three girls left, eight guys. Crazy!
Simon’s got earplugs in his ears, apparently his snoring wakes him up. Hah!
People like getting an early training session in, or at least the orange team plus Amy from the Blues, before breakfast. Get 45 minutes in nice and early and they’re ready to go for the day.
TBL 11×09 – Not enough mud, need more mud, mud mud mud!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Transformed the two teams were tasked with creating a healthy, low cost meal. And the Blue Team actually won for a change!
Tonight it’s another elimination challenge. An epic obstacle course set in Glenworth Valley. Blue have some kind of advantage for the challenge so there’s a chance they might not fail miserably!
Fiona’s in the middle of a muddy paddock with Libby and Shannan and she confirms they’re there for an obstacle course challenge, with the losing team joining her in the elimination room to vote out one of their own.
Week 3, anyone carrying any injuries? Luke and Josh were tussling in the kitchen and he copped an elbow in the ribs. Has a sweet bruise to show for it, but the medics have advised he sit out of the challenge. Real smart, guys!
