Steven is a single father to a young child, so he’s looking to improve his health so he’ll be around as his kid grows up.
Steven also appears to be quite active on the internets, so don’t be surprised to see him pop up online, if not during the show (due to contractual obligations) then certainly afterwards!

My reason(s) for applying for Biggest Loser are:
To become a better and healthier father for my baby girl and to ensure I’m on this planet for a whole lot longer to be there for my baby girl, to see her grow up. The Biggest Loser is an opportunity for me to focus on just one thing and nothing else, losing weight and being educated on losing weight. Also to become a role model for my mother, my family, my daughter and other Indigenous Australians.

I first realized I was overweight and needed help when:
When I was around 18 years old – before this my parents controlled my weight loss attempts, after 18 I took it into my own hands and tried a range of different things that never worked.

I hope to lose weight but gain:
Confidence to fulfil my goals. I hope to make great friends along this journey. I hope to gain my life back and find the real me. I hope to gain a life I have reason to really value, one that is healthy and full of opportunities.

The previous contestant I have found inspiring was (and why?)
Pati; she was herself through the whole show and make it through to the final 3 contestants. She also represented all Indigenous people of Australia and had a strong connection to her family.

The best part of being on Biggest Loser is:
Being able to meet great people that have all experienced the same heartache and pain I have. We all share that same goal of losing weight.

I am preparing myself for this journey by:
Being myself; being honest and taking each minute as it comes because there are a lot of unknowns in the show – you never know what is around the corner.

I think the most difficult part of being on Biggest Loser will be:
Leaving behind my beautiful baby girl and my loving and supporting family and friends

My biggest weakness is:
Would be facing my fears head on in the house and missing people while I am in the house like my family and baby girl.

Some bad habits I would like to get rid of are:
Eating habits that have started to rub off on my baby girl.

The one thing I want Australia to know about me is that:
I’m a loving and caring single father and would do anything in this world for my baby girl and family.

I think I will win the Biggest Loser because:
I need to lose the weight to be there for my daughter; to have a second change at life and to become the person I’ve always wanted to be.

One thing I have never done because I was overweight and will do once I lose the weight will be to:
Probably learn how to ride a motorbike, so I can go riding with my father – I don’t spend a lot of time with him and I would like to start spending more time with him. As well as get back into competitive sports.
