Kerry is a real character: tough on the outside, but a big softie inside. He even admits to crying when watching Pretty Woman. Known to his friends as “stocky”, Kerry is the life of the party. He has a great sense of humour and describes himself as honest, reliable and fun.

Kerry used to play Aussie Rules from the age of 18 to 40 and loves sport with a passion. He enjoys watching it now, but gets frustrated because he can’t participate. Despite playing sport in the past, he was always a chubby kid. Over the years, he has continued to steadily put on weight and never tried to lose it. His biggest weakness is beer: he consumes up to 50 cans a week.

Kerry met Toni just after her 30th birthday and they have been happily married for 16 years. After discovering they couldn’t conceive naturally, the stockwells decided to buy a pub together. They moved to Ararat three years ago and bought The Shire. At the pub, kerry’s drinking increased. Kerry and Toni longed for a better work/ life balance, so they eventually leased The Shire out and found other jobs.Toni means everything to Kerry. He admits to being very reliant on her, given his amount of shift work at AME. They both want to embrace this opportunity with the hope for a new lease on life and possibly even a wedding vow renewal in Las Vegas.

“I can not wait to be fitter and healthier, make my Wife and family proud, and finally be able to travel to places that I have always wanted to visit. I am so glad that my partner in crime is by my side, although I’ll never pick her for a challenge, she can’t catch.”
