Motivation to lose weight: Callan would love to be able to coach AFL again and he dreams of one day joining the Army. He also wants to be a better role model for his son, Jack.

Callan is a fun-loving, AFL-playing joker who wants to regain his fitness for the game he loves. He describes himself as loyal, outgoing and fun, and yet he knows at times he can be outspoken and politically incorrect, which can rub people the wrong way.

One of Callan’s loves is AFL. He used to play and coach when he was living in the UK, however, he gave up as he felt he was being a hypocrite for yelling at others to train harder when he was big himself. His weight has always fluctuated around football seasons and he is now looking for a balance physically and emotionally that he has never quite attained before.

Callan is currently studying primary school teaching in Ballarat and is a full-time carer to his son Jack. He is finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with Jack and wants to be physically fitter. He also has a daughter, Taneal, from a previous relationship whom he has only recently reconnected with. His Fiancé Erin is the love of his life and they have the upmost respect for each other. “I have a new understanding of women and what they go through, now that I am a stay at home dad.”Callan dreams of one day joining the Army – “I just have to pass the physical first” – wants to run boot camp style training sessions and above all make Erin, his Grandmother and two children proud.

“I worry that my family don’t respect me at my current weight. I want The Biggest Loser to change this so I can fulfill my many goals and look and feel great on my wedding day.”
