Quote: “There is no way I can disappoint my children and fail their sacrifice.”
Simon is motivated by his children, when they eventually have a family of their own he would like to be an active ‘pop.’ His dream is to show his children that all you need in life is to put in the effort to achieve your goals. Simon looks forward to gaining confidence, energy, a quality of life and ‘a hot body.’

Simon used to be extremely physically fit and at his physical peak he weighed 80 kilograms. Simon’s wake-up call that he needed to change his life was when he couldn’t fit on a roller coaster with his children and had to be removed from the ride because the safety lock wouldn’t close. Simon’s wife left him in part due to his weight issues. He would like to meet someone special that he can spend the rest of his life with.

Simon is excited to be part of The Biggest Loser and looks forward to the controlled environment, supportive atmosphere and the amount of experts he will have access to help him achieve his goals. He is preparing himself for the journey by telling himself, “There are NO excuses.”

Simon wants to get out of the bad habit of choosing the easy way out when trying to make a decision. He wants Australia to know that being on The Biggest Loser, he has made a conscious choice to improve his life and “you can too.”

My reason for applying for The Biggest Loser:
My children. When they have kids I want to be an active pop.
I first realised I was overweight and need help when:
I couldn’t fit on a roller coaster with my kids because the safety equipment wouldn’t lock.
I hope to lose weight but gain:
Confidence, energy, a hot body and a better quality of life.
A past contestant I’ve found inspiring is:
Adro – he was the first winner and best matches me and my life.
The best part of being on The Biggest Loser is:
The controlled environment, the supportive environment and the amount of experts I will have access to to help me achieve my goals.
I am preparing myself for this journey by:
Constantly saying ‘there are no excuses.’
I think the most difficult part of being on The Biggest Loser will be:
The separation from my family.
My biggest weakness is:
Concentration.
Some bad habits I would like to get rid of are:
Choosing the easy way out and making the easy choices.
The one thing I want Australia to know about me is:
I have made this choice and you can as well.
I think I will win The Biggest Loser because:
I will be the most determined to succeed. There is no way I can disappoint my children and fail their sacrifice.
One thing I have never done because I was overweight I will do once I lose the weight is:
Take my family out to the countryside and go hiking/camping. I love taking photos and looking around this amazing country, but have not been able to go out bush and share that with my family.
