Quote: “I’m single and ready to mingle.”

Lisa would like to gain confidence and the ability to enjoy life. She is motivated and determined to achieve this goal and doesn’t want to waste the opportunity. Once she loses the weight she would like to date “wonderful men.”

Lisa was the skinny child growing up, but once she started having children she gained more and more weight. Due to the weight gain, Lisa’s husband left her when she was 24-years-old and since then she has been very lonely and would love to share her life with someone.

Lisa first realised she needed help when she couldn’t fit into her clothes anymore and had to keep buying the next size up. She has entered The Biggest Loser to finally do something for herself that will make her happy and take control of her life, “to live rather than just exist.”

Lisa looks forward to achieving her goals and understanding she’s not alone in the journey. She is preparing herself by accepting responsibility for her actions and bad habits. Lisa is going to miss her sons dearly and admits that the most difficult part will be being apart from them for so long and not being able to quit the competition when the going gets tough.

My reason for applying for The Biggest Loser:
To do something for myself – to take control of my life rather than just exist.
I first realised I was overweight and needed help when:
I couldn’t fit into my clothes and had to keep buying the next size up and up and up.
I hope to lose weight but gain:
More confidence and the ability to enjoy life.
A previous contestant I’ve found inspiring is:
Lara – a young girl taking control of her life and looking amazing. She grew up in front of us.
The best part of being on The Biggest Loser is:
Achieving a goal and seeing that I’m not alone in my journey.
I am preparing myself for this journey by:
Accepting responsibility for my actions/habits and owning it.
I think the most difficult part of being on The Biggest Loser will be:
Missing my boys! Not being able to quit when it gets toiugh.
My biggest weakness is:
Chocolate.
Some bad habits I would like to get rid of are:
Snacking between meals and only eating convenience foods.
I think I will win The Biggest Loser because:
I am motivated and determined to achieve this goal. I am not going to waste the opportunity.
One thing I have never done before because I was overweight but will do once I lose the weight is:
Date wonderful men. Single and ready to mingle!
