Brenda Hunt

Name: Brenda Hunt
Age: 40
Height: 172cm
Lives: Sydney
Status: Single. Was once engaged
Children: No
Occupation: State manager for an Australian fashion label
Quote: “I would like to go to a tropical island for a holiday and feel comfortable to wear a bikini in public!”

Brenda is desperate to have children and find love. She was told to lose at least 10-15 kilograms in order to have successful IVF conception. She wants to become healthy and gain confidence, nutritional knowledge, new friends and have the experience of a lifetime!

Brenda describes herself as compassionate; she loves her friends and her family dearly and is very close to them. Brenda’s family are all thin and her sister is a personal trainer. Her five-year-old niece told her she is fat and should go on The Biggest Loser, “so they fix you.”

Brenda works in the fashion industry and feels like people are staring at her, she squeezes into the labels’ largest size stretchy clothes. She has had enough of her bad habits and wants to take control of her life, boost her confidence and really start living. “I want the outside to match the inside of me.”

Brenda admits to being overly sensitive and emotional, she wants to overcome these weak traits and is preparing herself for the journey by reading positive affirmations, she plans on keeping a diary and tracking her nutrition. “I am not willing to give up, I am determined to train hard and stay focussed!”

My reason for applying for The Biggest Loser:
To take control of my life and start living. For the outside to match the inside of me and boost my confidence.
I first realised I was overweight and need help when:
I was told I needed to lose at least 10-15kgs to have successful IVF conception.
I hope to lose weight but gain:
Confidence, knowledge of nutrition, new friends and the experience of a lifetime.
A past contestant I’ve found inspiring is:
Lara, because I felt she held her integrity and trained hard till the end.
The best part of being on The Biggest Loser is:
Taking control of my life finally, being locked away where I’m only focussing on myself and not the outside issues.
I am preparing myself for this journey by:
Reading positive affirmations, keeping a diary and learning about nutrition.
I think the most difficult part of being on The Biggest Loser will be:
The evictions, strategy and the game part of it. I just want to train and lose the weight.
My biggest weakness is:
I’m very sensitive and emotional and can cry easily. I hate that I get easily upset and am easily rattled.
Some bad habits I would like to get rid of are:
Not doing any physcial activity, social smoking and overly sensitive.
The one thing I want Australia to know about me is:
I’m very compassionate and I love my friends and family more than anything. I am going to give this opportunity everything I’ve got.
I think I will win The Biggest Loser because:
I am willing to not give up and train hard and stay focussed.
One thing I have never done because I was overweight I will do once I lose the weight is:
Go to Greece or somewhere tropical and exotic for a holiday and actually wear a bikini in public.
