Joe Challenor

Age: 40
Goal weight: 75kg
Lives: Queensland
Height: 186cm
Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Labourer

Though the youngest of the Challenor brothers’ appearance is deceiving, Joe was formerly an elite cyclist with a lean 7% body fat. His weight may have drastically escalated since he gave up the sport, but that hasn’t dulled his thirst for competition, and one of his Biggest Loser ambitions is targeting a dramatic comeback.

Suffering from sleep apnoea so acute that he requires a machine to regulate his breathing, Joe appreciates the potentially tragic consequences of not changing, and fast, and endeavours to set a better example for his children.

Far from one to fear the punishing toil that accompanies being a Bigger Loser contestant, Joe’s attitude is admirably straightforward – “Bring it on!” – and he plans to support his brothers Damien and Greg, and nephew Nathaniel all the way.
