TBL 11×03 – Headshrinking, artistry and an elimination. Yes, already!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Transformed the contestants set their benchmark fitness levels and had their very first cooking lesson cum cooking challenge.
Tonight, breakdowns and breakthroughs. Many tears in the gym, many tears with the new psychologist. And then an elimination challenge, a version of the old Stacks On, where contestants have to hold a loaded bar on their shoulders. Presumably the last one still holding their bar will win, but will the first to drop be out?
Shannan’s team turns up for training, they’re all still buzzing from the win at the cooking challenge yesterday. They inform Shannan they’ve got an advantage in the elimination challenge and Shannan is surprised there’s one already, but nevermind that. Did everyone train this morning? Yes! Except Jenny, who wasn’t feeling well that morning. Nevermind that either, Shannan’s not ready to let any of them go yet. Time to introduce some competition to… the competition. Shannan’s going to set some goals for each of them, if they achieve the goal they pass, if they don’t they fail.
TBL 11×02 – Contestant Benchmarks! Dietary Decisions! Fried Chicken!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Transformed we learned a little about some of the new contestants, the challenges they’re facing and what the show plans to do about it all. We got introduced to new trainer Libby Babet and welcomed back Blue Team trainer Shannan Ponton and host Fiona Falkiner.
Tonight! The journey continues. Benchmark training to see where everyone’s at will apparently reveal some surprisingly fit folk amongst the group. A cooking challenge of some kind will give the winning team an advantage at the elimination… tomorrow! That’s quick!
Lynton’s doing it rough the next day after all the kayaking. Some of his roommates are having to bring him water because he can’t lift his arms. They’re all having a good laugh about it.
Apparently Jake was taken to hospital last night and nobody’s sure if he’s back yet. Nikki says he started slurring his speech and so they took him to hospital. Everyone’s very worried. It’s the first day and they might already lose someone?
Meanwhile Anna and Amy are the first ones up and head into the kitchen to get some food before an early morning training session. But before they can do anything they notice a note. Amy asks who gets to go on a date today, to much laughter from the rest of the group. Is that a Bachelor reference? I’m not familiar.
TBL 11×01 – The Biggest Loser Transformed Starts… Now!
This season of The Biggest Loser marks another change in the format. Last time it was families, the time before that they tackled the town of Ararat. This time, it’s… people who aren’t grossly obese, just quite obese. Or even just overweight! It’s time to Transform some lives!
At least, that’s the stated goal this time around. Old-hand Shannan Ponton and new trainer Libby Babet take 16 overweight Australians for 8 weeks of intensive training and not eating so damn much. Shannan’s said we should imagine six packs on blokes and women in bikinis on the finale stage. We’ll see, won’t we?
Jake, the diabetic with an insulin pump installed we saw on the ads? He wants to get his health and diabetes under control lest he not be around much longer.
Steph’s postponed her wedding. Needs to go from a size 18 to a size 10 to fit in her wedding dress. Lynton needs to lose weight to keep his pilot licence. Nikki’s never been confident enough to get in a bikini.
The contestants are all being boated across Sydney Harbour to… Cockatoo Island, maybe? There’s a big fancy building with the new (ugly) Biggest Loser logo out front. So they go in!
TBL 10×39 – FINALE! Who Will Win The Biggest Loser 2015?
Previously on The Biggest Loser Families… THE ENTIRE SEASON! If you’re only tuning in now you’re a bit late. But I guess watching the first episode and the last episode is also a valid choice.
It’s finally the finale, the final time the final remaining contestants weigh in and the final time everyone else weighs in and someone finally wins a bunch of money. Because that’s what the show is all about, giving a formerly fat person a bunch of cash to fritter away, or spend on cosmetic procedures to undo the lingering effects of drastic weight loss. Hooray!
The final three contestants this year are all from the same family, the all-conquering Jofres. Tony, Daniel and Pablo are three brothers who, with their uncle Rob, have dominated the competition all season long. It’s a battle to the finish and no matter which of the boys win it’s probably safe to assume they have the title of biggest losing family safely under their belt.
And having seen the ads I already know I’m going to be awful distracted by Princess Fiona’s sparkly glittery boobs. That’s an amazing black sparkly top she’s wearing, it really is.
Anyway, strap in. It’s going to be a bit of a… JOURNEY!
TBL 10×38 – Penultimate Weigh In, Elimination, Elimination, Juice!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Familes we saw Tony win another challenge, gaining “Ultimate Immunity”, a pass straight to the finale tomorrow night. We also saw Sam grab a payout of $20,000 to leave the game early, as she felt she would not be able to win regardless.
Tonight, the very last weigh in at Camp Biggest Loser for the year. This one looks to be a bit different, with a red line in play as well. Possibly signifying an instant elimination for the person who has lost the least weight in the week? Two other people will be below the yellow line and two others will be safe above the line. Or, probably, Tony and one other will be safe.
Things do not look good for the last remaining contestant not of the Jofre family. Can Tenealle lose enough weight to secure her safety one last time, or is this the end of the road for the Auvale team?
This is it, people. Time to weigh in. Right after Fiona throws one last curve ball. The person who records the lowest weightloss percentage tonight will fall below the red line and will be immediately eliminated from the competition. The next two lowest will be below the yellow line and will face a vote. Only two votes, only really matters if Tenealle is above the line, huh?
