TBL 10×31 – Weigh In Night Gets A Big Fat Makeover

Previously on The Biggest Loser Families Australia 2015, um… Oh, yeah, MAKEOVER WEEK! They’re taking a “whole week” for makeovers this year as not only the remaining contestants but the eliminated ones as well are receiving makeovers.

Tuesday night we saw all of the remaining contestants, plus Mel’s makeover. We saw the start of Jodie’s makeover bit but we got interrupted before finding out if she said YES to the marriage proposal from her man.

Tonight, will she say yes? Will any of the eliminated contestants look as swish as Daniel and Tony looked?

Later, the weekly weigh in. The Jofale alliance is still in effect but it’s not really going to matter as it’s definitely going to be alliance members below the line. There’s nobody else to put under the line!

Interestingly the last two trainers are Michelle and Commando Steve. They’ve been together for a while at this point but it’s still not clear when Michelle gets the tiny scary fit baby inside her. I continue to keep an eye on her belly!

First, we’re back to makeovers. I forgot we saw Kayla as well. She looked pretty nice with bright red hair and a pretty green dress.

Lots of replays of old footage at the start but we finally get back to the bit where Anthony turns up, all super shy and nervous. He’s totally going to propose. Michelle’s the first to realise, I think. Or maybe she’s just so much of a softie she was just hoping.

He does, of course, propose. And unlike Tuesday night, Jodie immediately says yes. Hooray! Marriage!

Shannan says The Biggest Loser makes dreams come true. Softie too!

Next up, Rina. She left quite a few weeks ago now, the Jofale alliance couldn’t rescue her from that. But she’s got her husband back home with her and he was super fit when leaving.

And yup, Rina’s looking quite a bit thinner now. She’s in a pretty red dress and Johnee’s amazed that Rina’s wearing heels. She blows everyone a kiss, then blows Commando a special one of his own. He blows one back, aww!

Rina’s helped down the stairs by Johnee and she finally realises who it is. Much excitement. She goes down the line hugging and kissing and being amazed by everyone’s temptation. She says the journey on the outside has been hard, lots of temptation on the outside, but she’s lost 20kg overall. Not as much as she would have if she’d stayed longer, but pretty respectable. She looks much happier.

Then she sees herself in the mirror and is amazed. Says Moses better watch out. Also says her and Commando look good together and Steve tells her not to say that around her husband, he doesn’t want to have to fight him!

Next up, the first person to be eliminated from the competition, Terry of the Pestells. We’ve already seen how well he’s going on the outside but Shannan’s still keen to see him again.

He’s still got a bit of a gut, but he’s lost 21kg altogether. He’s got some casual bloke clothes on, looks like a cool grandpa. Good stuff.

Sylvia next. Been five weeks since Tiff’s seen her. She’s got a stylish black dress on and some sparkly heels. She’s also got bright red hair like Kayla. She’s astonished at her reflection in the mirror. She has a figure! She’s feeling much better about herself now.

Moses! He left the show back under 100kg so he was already getting pretty fit. And with a makeover he looks great! So much younger and happier. He says he’s had a big beard for the last 10-12 years to hide the second chin, also wore black a lot to hide the love handles. He’s gone from a 3XL to a Medium and is even in skinnyjeans, which he says is what his son wears.

Moses is shocked on seeing himself in the mirror, wonder who the young guy in the mirror is. He tells Steve he struggled sometimes in the house but look at the result!

Rina comes out to greet Moses as a “surprise”, but of course they both knew they were there for it. Moses tells Rina she’s beautiful and Rina says she knows. Hah!

Next up, Ali. She was hoping to be a role model to her daughter and the one thing holding her back was her weight, Shannan tells us. Shannan lies, her shitty attitude is holding her back more than her weight.

Ali’s in fancy Mum gear with some heels, which Shannan never would have thought possible. Ali goes to the park with Tilly and works out with her now, goes walking and so on. She’s lost 25kg so far. She bursts into tears on seeing herself in the mirror. Starts ruining her makeup, hah!

Biggest Loser has really changed her life, she tells us.

Sam’s next. She was Cliff’s girlfriend, one of the actual Hailwoods, even though Cliff was last in the house.

Sam looks amazing! She’s still a little chubby but miles better than when she left the show. She’s thrilled to fit into a form fitting dress. She’s taken some time for herself on the outside, not just been a Mum all day every day. She’s lost a bunch of weight, she tells Tiff. Tiff thinks she looks hot!

Tiff points out that not only has she lost some size, the size she has left is much more muscled than it used to be. She looks fit!

Cliff’s turn. Cliff was still in mourning when he came on the show, was very angry all the time. But he turned it around in the last few weeks and was much happier and friendlier all round.

Cliff comes out in typical bogan wear. He’s still a big lad, but he’s in jeans and a checked shirt. Still has a beard though, nobody got the clippers near him?

Big changes at home, they eat a lot healthier. No more soft drinks so the dark circles and sweats have stopped.

Cliff tears up a bit at his reflection. Tiff asks him why he’s so emotional and Cliff’s too emotional to answer. Cliff says he hasn’t looked like that in years. One more person he’s got to see. And Tiff says you’ve reeeally got to see it. Cliff looks astonished. Sam looks a little disappointed. Oh well.

And now we’re out of makeover land and back into sweaty workout land. The Jofale alliance has held strong for weeks. They’re the only ones left and it’s game on, Steve says.

Johnee and Tenealle are pushing themselves harder than ever before. Johnee’s realised he needs to take responsibility for himself. They’ve learned they can overcome anything on their way to having a baby. Steve doesn’t want this to be their last day at Camp Biggest Loser and he’s going to make sure they push hard and get above the line.

Meanwhile the Jofres are still riding high. They’re still yet to lose a member of their team. Unprecedented success.

Mish says the difference between the boys now and when she first met them is chalk and cheese. We get some replay footage of Mish crying at the Jofre house as she realises how terrible their diets have been.

Tony’s committed, dedicated and ready to go. Rob’s been the leader of the team, as the elder uncle of the group, and he’s on the way to being a great role model for his kids and a better partner for his lady. Daniel’s finally got a purpose in life, has won biggest loser of the week five times. And Pablo loves everyone, but hasn’t always loved himself. But now he’s started.

They’re really close to getting all four of them into the final. Tony tells Mish they’re going to continue pushing hard, she’s taught them well and they’re not going home.

After training it’s Pablo’s 30th birthday. Shame Mel’s not still there. BIRTHDAY SEX!

They’ve got streamers and ballooooooooooooooooons. It’s Pablo’s first birthday without his Mum. Awwww. There’s a card from her. He’s reading it to start with but gets too choked up and Tony has to finish it for him. Hugs and kisses all round.

For Pablo’s 30th they’ve also made some muffins and jelly. Pablo loves jelly.

Johnee’s watching them all scoff muffins and jelly and hoping they keep going. He’s not participating in the gorging. Will it bite the Jofres at weigh in? Mr Voiceover Man is implying it might.

Time to find out. With just six people to weigh in tonight it’s going to be tight. Probably. Unless someone’s had a blowout week again. Hope that jelly was sugar free!

Commando Steve is confident his two can keep above at least two of the Jofres. Michelle’s not sure how it could go down.

Johnee and Tenealle know that while the alliance might have saved them in the past it can’t possibly save them tonight. If one of them is below the line then of course the Jofres will send them home.

Daniel Previous: 96kg
Daniel Now: 95.6kg
Daniel Loss: 0.4kg
Daniel Percentage: 0.42%

Mish is pretty sure he’ll be below the line. Daniel says he won’t be eating bread at 1am again. When did he eat bread? After makeover, apparently. Was a long day. Mish is unimpressed, not really buying that excuse.

Johnee’s next. He was happy with Daniel’s loss. Johnee says it’s been a big week but he hopes he can “loose” something. I can tell he said the wrong one.

Johnee Previous: 174.7kg
Johnee Now: 173.7kg
Johnee Loss: 1kg
Johnee Percentage: 0.57%

Woeful for a man his size. Commando Steve tells us he knows it’s definitely not good enough.

Pablo tells Fiona it was his 30th birthday and Fiona says happy birthday… was there cake? No, just muffins. Alarm bells start going off in Michelle’s head.

Pablo Previous: 119.2kg
Pablo Now: 117.9kg
Pablo Loss: 1.3kg
Pablo Percentage: 1.09%

Pablo is happy to be safe, but he’s hoping to get to 110kg by finale. He says this is the first test, where the routine gets knocked off course a bit. Mish nods and is obviously pleased he’s already well aware where he’s gone wrong.

Tenealle needs at least 700g to beat Johnee and stay safe.

Tenealle Previous: 108.3kg
Tenealle Now: 107kg
Tenealle Loss: 1.3kg
Tenealle Percentage: 1.2%

Safe as well! Steve seems pleased. She’s at the top of the leaderboard so far but there’s still Tony and Rob to weigh in.

Mish is getting very nervous now. Rob needs at least 700g to beat Johnee and stay safe from elimination. He’s confident he’s got that done.

Rob Previous: 113.1kg
Rob Now: 113.7kg
Rob GAIN: 0.6kg
Rob Percentage GAIN: 0.53%

Jofres and Michelle are in shock. Michelle looks like she may have been crying! Rob tries to say he only had two muffins and Steve says the muffins can’t have been that big. Tony confesses they had some red meat, potatoes and peas during the week as well. Johnee’s been looking pretty happy, Steve’s looking pretty happy too!

Johnee is now safe from elimination. Steve tells us he’s happy he’s not losing someone this week.

Tony’s last to weigh in. With him being so willing to admit the extra calories, has he overdone it even more than Rob? He knows it can’t be good news for him.

Tony Previous: 94.7kg
Tony Now: 95.9kg
Tony GAIN: 1.2kg
Tony Percentage GAIN: 1.27%

Daniel swears. Tony knew it would be a bad number but it being that bad is disappointing. Johnee tells us the Jofres get their backs up if things don’t go their way. Mish says it’s a good lesson, small doses in humility every now and then are good.

Pablo looks the most upset. Bit odd. Not him having to go home!

Tenealle’s the biggest loser of the week, for the first time. Her, Johnee, Daniel and Pablo are into the top five. Just remains to be seen whether it’s Tony or Rob joining them.

The dream of all four Jofres at finale is gone. GONE!

Tomorrow night. Who’ll vote for who? Will the Jofres send home their uncle or their brother? Will the uncle or the brother fall on his sword to save the other?

Either way, after elimination there’ll be just five contestants left.

But not for long. Dragon boat, paddles, Shannan banging a drumbeat out… the eliminated contestants are coming.
