TBL 10×26 – Who Got Eliminated, Daniel or Moses? WHO?
Previously on The Biggest Loser in a shock twist both Moses and Daniel put weight on at the weekly weigh in. Now the alliance that has stood the Auvales and Jofres in good stead throughout is finally being called off.
Tonight in the elimination room it’s down to who Cliff and Mel vote for. The Jofres will vote to save Daniel and the Auvales will vote to save Moses.
And Pablo’s looking pretty crestfallen, says that there’s no point playing the game anymore. Rob misunderstands and thinks Pablo is giving up and then talks all over Pablo trying to explain he just meant the alliance stuff, not the rest of it.
Tony’s still pissed off because Daniel fell below the line. They’re a family of four still and they’ve got a big target on their backs, he’s pretty sure Daniel won’t survive the vote. He thinks Mel will vote for Daniel and Cliff definitely will as he’s supposedly had it in for them since the start. He says that’s why they’re all down now chatting among themselves while the Jofres are up talking among themselves. I’d’ve said they’re sulking, but whatever.
Down in the lounge there’s quite a bit of laughter going on. Cliff asks Mel if she’s ready to drive the karma bus. Jodie’s not there anymore so Mel can drive now!
Tenealle’s hoping Moses stays because he pushes Johnee in training. Johnee’s telling Cliff and Mel the smart choice is to send Daniel home, but Mel tells us she thinks Cliff will vote to save Moses as there’s a promise in play there.
Mel’s not sure who to choose because even though the Jofres are a strong team, Moses is a big threat in his own right.
Time for the elimination room. Princess Fiona’s back in blue tonight. And she tells them all there’s no way to soften the blow tonight, two much loved contestants are on the chopping block today. With no explicit allegiance to either team, Cliff and Mel’s votes are crucial tonight, Fiona tells them. As if they didn’t already know!
As Daniel and Moses walk in and take their seats Fiona asks Pablo how it feels to see Daniel up for elimination. He can’t even answer, he’s in tears and is very upset. Tony says it’s going to be okay and Daniel says he’s sure they can do it without him there. Tony says he doesn’t care who else should be up, it shouldn’t be the two hardest working guys in the game.
Mel says she’s still undecided, even in the elimination room. She could still go either way and has been going over the pros and cons of both.
Guess you better have a convincing argument, guys!
Moses says that as much as he talks about going home and seeing his kids he obviously still has a lot to learn. Still needs to be there.
Daniel starts off by apologising to Fiona. He got a bit frustrated on the scales and took it out on Fiona, and he’s very sorry for that. Fiona graciously accepts.
Daniel also says he’s gotten under the 100kg mark before, though he’s back above now. Moses has Rena and the kids on the outside, both to help him and for Moses to help. Daniel’s got nobody. Aww!
First to vote is Pablo. He says he respects Moses immensely but obviously has to vote to save his brother.
Johnee says much the same, he’s written Daniel “Jofales” on his card. Heh.
Tony says Moses is a top guy, he’s the chief of his family, but he’s got to vote for him.
Tenealle says Moses is her brother, can’t write his name down. 2-2.
Rob votes Moses. He’s their brother, just like Johnee, but Daniel is blood.
If Cliff votes for Moses he’ll be going home immediately.
Cliff says that he’s thought on any number of occasions that if a Jofre was up he’d have to vote for him. But it’s not the first thing that went through his head today, they’re singles now. So he’s voted to try and help him in his journey.
He’s voted for Daniel. Purely on strategy, as Moses has said he’d not write Cliff’s name down.
Poor Mel has the deciding vote. It’s been a long time coming but the Pestells finally have all the power!
Mel says it’s a tough decision, she’s close to both men and they’re technically singles. But it is a numbers game and she’s got to think of what will make it easier for her…
Ad break!
Mel has chosen to vote for… MOSES? Whut?
Hard to tell who’s the most surprised. Even Fiona’s finding it hard to believe, she asks Mel for more explanation of her reasoning. She says the Jofres win a lot of challenges and games and she’s hoping by saving Daniel she can avoid receiving any penalties.
Mel’s sitting right beside Moses, too. Ouch.
Moses is sad, but also happy that his other brother Daniel’s safe. And Tenealle and Johnee can do it from here, Tenealle’s kicking butt.
Daniel’s in tears now. Says Moses is like another brother to him.
Tenealle’s upset, having Moses there is really good for Johnee.
Moses has had an awesome journey, he’s missed his kids a lot but he’s made a bunch of new friends. And now he’s looking forward to seeing his wife!
Time to say goodbye, Moses. Moses gets a round of applause from the others, the first of the season I think?
Moses says it’s the healthiest he’s been in his life and it feels great. He’s taking home a bunch of things he learnt at Camp to put into practice. And it’s brought him and Johnee together, tighter than ever before.
Everyone’s still kind of in shock, I think. Basically everyone thought Daniel would be gone for sure. Afterwards Daniel gives her a very awkward hug on the lounge. Are they totally doing kisses when the cameras aren’t around? I bet they are.
Mel explains that last week Pablo could have given her a penalty, but she didn’t. Pablo promises if he wins anything else, the penalty won’t go to her. Tony also promises as much, thanking her for what she did for his family.
Tony also says that Pablo will give her dance lessons now, too. Mel laughs, apparently Pablo is a good dancer. Maybe they’re doing kisses? Somebody must be. All that time, too many single people!
Johnee and Tenealle are in their bedroom and Tenealle is kinda furious. She says it’s a stupid move, sending Moses home. There’s still four Jofres there! Johnee gets annoyed when Tenealle tries to motivate him where Moses had more success. Tenealle’s determined to win something and lump a penalty on Mel, but she also thinks Johnee’s got to step up some alternative training. Sit down boxing or something.
Johnee’s very scared. He’s falling apart from all the workouts and now Moses is gone too.
Next morning, Johnee’s not feeling so good. He’s struggling to breathe and has heart palpitations, he says. The medic is in with him, checking his blood pressure and heart rate. His blood pressure is too high and his heart rate is too low, so they’re carting him off to hospital now as well. Mostly precautionary, Tenealle is hoping it’s just the stress of his brother going home.
But now it’s time to train! Mel’s telling Shannan about having saved a Jofre and extracted a promise of no more penalties, they’ll do anthing for her. Four slaves, Shannan says after an awkward pause.
Last week Mel couldn’t jump up onto the step. Shannan asks her if she thinks she can this week. She’s biggest loser of the week, no need to be nervous, she can do it!
Her first “jump” was a bit of a lame duck, one foot at a time, but her second one is spot on. As is the third. Shannan’s very proud of her, tells us it’s the first time he’s seen her get both feet off the ground.
Now they’re going to do some more basketball because they had so much fun last time. Shannan’s challenging her to get baskets from various points and if she misses she has to do some squats with a weight bar.
Thing is, Mel doesn’t miss. Shannan tells us he’s guilty of underestimating Mel. She’s a heck of a lot better than him, that’s for sure!
Cliff and Tiff are warming up before their training session. Tiff’s showing him how to loosen up before a run. They’re also discussing Mel’s decision at elimination. Tiff is appalled, thinks Mel has been played. They’re four hot Argentinian men and they’re paying attention to her!
But in the end it comes down to doing the hard work, so he’s got to keep at it.
Commando Steve is disappointed Moses was sent home, but also worried because Johnee has been taken to hospital now too. He says he’s been doing Biggest Loser a long time and chest pain things like this are most often due to anxiety and stress.
Tenealle tells Steve that everyone was expecting Daniel to be eliminated. Everyone except Mel, of course. She wanted Moses to stay because he’s better at pushing Johnee.
Those pesky emotions must be pushed aside, train hard and be above the line, says Commando Steve!
Now it’s time for The Game! Only eight people left so the power that comes from winning the game becomes more and more important. And this week is the biggest power yet to be offered this season.
Pablo asks Mel what she’s having. Mel reminds us the Jofres have promised not to lump her with a power, she’s hoping they stick to it.
Today’s another Golden Fork, head to head Temptation. One on one, first contestant to grab the fork in the middle of the table has to eat everything on the plate. Whoever gets the fork and eats the meal gets to stay and a new challenger is selected.
Cliff says he had his game face on until he found out he’d have to eat. He only lost 400 grams last week, so he’s weighing it carefully.
Mel is asked if she likes the sound of the prize and she says she likes the sound of the food! Ah-hah-hah, laughs all round. They’re all fat!
Johnee’s not there to compete today. Tenealle’s desperate to win to screw over Mel.
They’re drawing numbers for the order in which they play.
Tenealle got 1. Mel got 6, Cliff 4, Daniel 5, Pablo 3, Rob 2, Tony 7. So it’s Tenealle and Rob up first. The odds are in the Jofres favour, that’s for sure.
Round 1. What’s the dish? A beef and vegetable skewer, a mere 83 calories. Hands on the table, when Fiona rings the bell the first to grab the fork gets to eat!
Tenealle’s much too fast for old man Rob. Rob’s out and Tenealle survives the first round. 83 calories is not so bad. Tenealle offers Rob some as Rob is salivating.
Rob’s off to wait in the lounge for the rest of the contestants.
Next dish, Tenealle versus Pablo. 2 fried chicken wings, 242 calories. They look so good. SO GOOD.
Tenealle doesn’t care how many calories they are, she’s got to win. Pablo’s a big fan of anything deepfried.
Fiona reminds them they don’t have to play, it’s their decision.
Yeah, right, Tenealle and Pablo both go for it. Tenealle grabs the fork first though. Pablo says it’s fine, when you only get one meal you give it to the lady. Fiona says, “Awwww! Always the gentleman.”
Tenealle’s at 325 calories so far. That’s getting up there, but she still doesn’t care. She wants to win.
Time for Cliff to challenge. He really wants the power because he’s sure he’ll get dumped on if a Jofre wins.
Next up, a bowl of butter chicken with garlic naan. 417 calories. Tenealle loves butter chicken, it’s the first one she’s really keen to eat.
Cliff knows Tenealle is fast as she’s still there, but he’s hoping his reflexes will get him there faster. Fiona says they’ve got to have their wrists on the edge of the table, so maybe there was some sneaking before?
Tenealle’s winning streak is at an end as Cliff beats her to the fork. She’s got to sit there and watch him eat it!
Back to the lounge with you, Tenealle. Discuss with the boys what the power could be, nobody has any idea.
Daniel’s turn at the table. Cliff’s worried because he knows Daniel is very quick.
What’s the dish this time? Two huge tacos. Tacos rule! They’re pork tacos though. That’s a bit weird. 232 calories.
Cliff beats Daniel! And now he’s got to eat the tacos. As Cliff bites into the first Daniel says it sounds soggy, but is it good? Cliff mumbles as much. Daniel asks him if he can let Cliff still win but eat the other taco for him. Hah!
Cliff’s up to 649 calories. You better win, Cliff!
Mel’s turn to step up. Will she even try or will she let Cliff pile on some more calories?
What’s the dish this time? BBQ Pork Ribs. With chips. 532 calories. Cliff says Fiona’s killing him. Mel looks pretty interested too, but she thinks Cliff’s going to be super quick too.
Fiona rings the bell and only Cliff grabs for the fork. Cliff says he’s impressed by her restraint but more impressed by the ribs. He asks Fiona if they can get the Jofres out to watch him eat the ribs. Heh.
1,181 calories for Cliff so far. And there’s still a meal to go. Can bet it’s going to be a big one.
But Cliff only has to face down Tony now. Tony’s really fast, but Cliff’s not too slow either…
We don’t see the outcome just yet. Time for a seven week catchup with Moses.
I think it’s Moses? It sounds like Moses, it doesn’t look much like him. He’s so skinny! He’s enjoying working out with his wife and he’s a fit Dad now, he’s so fit his kids are asking him to slow down sometimes.
The biggest thing he learned in the Biggest Loser house was that healthy food can be fun and enjoyable, you’ve just got to mix it up a bit.
Moses is astonished by how fat he was at the first weigh in. Was very much in denial back then. He says when he went on the show he was an XXL to XXXL and now he’s a Medium. That’s amazing, frankly!
Tomorrow night the final dish looks to be a good sized chocolate sundae. And it’s not entirely clear who’s going to grab the fork first as Cliff’s gone with one hand while Tony goes with two? Hmm.
But whoever wins will get the biggest power of all – the ability to eliminate anyone they want from the game. Yikes!
