9×21 – MISH IS BACK, BITCHES!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Cal was eliminated after stacking weight on in the past week.
Tonight… they’re baaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack. All the eliminated contestants return to fight for a position back in the competition.
Also Michelle’s back! Finally!
Before they can do anything though they’ve got to weigh back in to see where they’re at now. Then it’s a dogfight among the contestants as there’s only two spots up for grabs.
AND THEN someone’s journey is cut short by some devastating news… of some kind.
But first it’s training time. Shannan and Commando Steve have combined forces this morning to really whip some booty. The results at the weigh in were pretty poor in general, though some managed reasonable results. Like biggest loser of the week Sharon!
They’re running back and forth on the lawn, flipping tires in teams, pushups, crashing into tackle mats.
But then Hayley turns up! And Shannan and Steve know that means something unexpected is about to happen, she never just turns up!
Hayley says they know what’s required and they know who they’re up against… OR DO THEY? Heccylopper flies in from over the treeline and it’s a red and white themed chopper at that. Two men in spiffy suits unfurl a length of red carpet at the door and across the lawn.
Out the doors come all the eliminated contestants and nobody is too thrilled to see them. Katrina in particular (surprise!) has nothing nice to say about it, saying she was glad to see the back of some of them.
Cal might have a grudge to settle with Craig, Craig tells us. He voted him out and Cal may have been a bit shocked by that.
The eliminated contestants are back, Hayley says. And so is one more player… secret trainer Mish! And she’s looking fantastic in her red jumper, tight black leggings, sunnies and long flowing locks.
Mish is back to shake things up. Boob’s on Mish’s hitlist, she says. Hah!
But before all the details emerge it’s time to find out how much the reds have lost on the outside. To the weigh in room!
Mary says it feels good to be back with a chance but the weigh in room isn’t her favourite place…
Hayley recaps how they all got sent home and that they now have a chance to get back in. There’s only two spots available in the house and they’ll have to fight to get a pass to have a chance at getting one of those spots. Convoluted!
There’s four weigh in passes up for grabs. The four who get a pass can weigh in at the end of the week. And the first pass is being given out right away.
And who gets the first pass is entirely up to the contestants who are still in the house.
Cal’s weighing in first as he was eliminated most recently. He really wants to show the fight’s still in him to win.
Cal Start: 131.6kg
Cal Now: 110.5kg
Cal Loss: 21.1kg
Cal wants another chance, would give his right arm, etc. Does anyone want to say anything back to Cal? SILENCE. Sharon tells us they feel a bit betrayed by Cal.
Mish wasn’t there but she says everyone makes mistakes. Yeahhhh but that’s mistakes for an entire week, Mish!
Natalie Start: 117.6kg
Natalie Now: 102.7kg
Natalie Loss: 14.9kg
Natalie’s worked hard at home but it was also great seeing all her family and friends. But she’d love to come back now because her mindset has changed now.
Jane doesn’t believe Natalie’s story, thinks she’s up to her old tricks. Replay of her blowup with Shannan over her not getting up in the morning to do her homework.
Caitlin Start: 134.4kg
Caitlin Now: 113.7kg
Caitlin Loss: 20.7kg
Caitlin says she was stupid to waste her opportunity last time. She’s only lost 200 grams on the outside which she says shows she does need to be back in there.
Mary Start: 181.5kg
Mary Now: 159.3kg
Mary Loss: 22.2kg
She’s lost nearly 6kg on the outside, Hayley says. Mary says she’s realised it’s up to her, nobody’s going to do it for her, so she’d like an opportunity to keep her journey going, get down to the 140s maybe. Shannan tells us the biggest change in Mary is her newfound positivity, no more excuses for everything!
Matt Start: 122.8kg
Matt Now: 107.3kg
Matt Loss: 15.5kg
Matt would like another shot, he’s found out it’s much easier on the inside, but it’s up to them if they want to give him the chance.
Rodger Start: 125.6kg
Rodger Now: 110.2kg
Rodger Loss: 15.4kg
Rodger’s lost nearly 10kg on the outside after being the first eliminated and has had his family helping him along. And Michelle, who is awesome. He says Steve and Shannan are good, but Mish is awesome. Mish has a good chuckle at that.
They’ve had some interesting training sessions, too. Replay of Mish driving Rodger’s ute with the dog in the back while Rodger trots alongside.
And he’s still off the cigarettes, too! He gets a round of applause for that too, as he should!
So who gets the first weigh in pass? Could be a friend or maybe someone who can lose a lot of weight and earn a bunch of money for Ararat?
They get a few moments to discuss their options. Much whispering! Kev’s the only really audible one who says he believes Mary’s changed.
And in the end they’ve decided that after sending Rodger home first with faith he could do it on the outside it’s only fair he get rewarded for his hard work. Rodger gets the very first weigh in pass.
And now another weigh in pass is up for grabs, head out to the lawn and meet Hayley there.
Mish is very happy Rodger got the first pass though!
Spinbikes are set up on the lawn. Natalie hates spinbikes she tells us.
Hayley’s calling the challenge the “10k Bike Burn”. First to ride 10km gets the second weigh in pass. Since Rodger’s already got a pass he doesn’t have to take part, which he seems quite happy about.
Cal’s pretty confident he can grab this away, earn his pass on his own terms. But Matt’s determined to give him a run for his money.
Natalie’s going hell for leather too, or so she says. Doesn’t really look it.
Sharon’s hoping Matt wins because she doesn’t think Cal deserves another chance. Steve tells us he’s prepared to look past Cal’s silliness and move on.
Matt’s first to the first three kilometre marks. Matt wasn’t eliminated at a weigh in, he was sent home as he was a threat thanks to a Fridge elimination ticket. Shannan reckons he could be a surprise win today as Matt’s worked hard on the outside.
Matt and Cal are neck and neck at the 4.2km mark and the 5km mark. And the 6km mark. Cal’s surprised at how strong Matt is in the race. Matt gets to 7km just ahead of Cal. Steve’s in Matt’s ear, encouraging him to sprint the final 2km, really lift the pace.
But they still keep level pegging the whole way. Swapping the lead back and forth over the last little bit…
But finally Cal manages to just pip Matt at the finish line. Matt’s a little disappointed he didn’t win but still quite proud he was even in with a shot. Back at the start Cal would have been a kilometre ahead of him, Matt says.
Cal’s happy to win, especially with the other contestants watching.
Natalie comes in third, Caitlin fourth and Mary dead last, as usual!
Cal gets his weigh in pass and is wished good luck by Hayley.
Only two passes left! Hayley says to bring their A game tomorrow because it’s going to depend on their ability to beg, borrow or steal. STEALING IS BAD, HAYLEY!
Next day they’re at an outdoor arena type thing, with a pile of basketballs in the middle. What’s all this about then?
Before we can find out there’s something they need to know. Natalie has something she needs to tell them… She hobbles out with the assistance of Michelle, has an obvious brace of some kind on her ankle. She says she has to pull out. Michelle explains that she has a suspected foot fracture. Which she actually had from working out so hard at home, supposedly. Yet she did the spinbike challenge with it? Yeah, okayyyy. This all sounds a bit suspicious!
Natalie will be back for finale, but she knows she can do it outside now.
Time to bugger off home again Natalie. She says she’s going to do what she can to keep moving and keep the weight off.
Well, now Caitlin, Matt and Mary have just had their chances increase immensely. Two of them will get a pass from today’s challenge with the other being sent home immediately.
The challenge is to grab basketballs from the middle pile and put them in their own penned area. They have to fill their piles until there’s none left in the middle. Then they can start stealing balls from their opponents.
Will they gang up on the strongest or will it be everyone for themselves?
Whoever has the least number of balls at the 30 minute mark will be out.
Mary tells us she’s not the fastest or strongest so she has to work the hardest instead.
Balls start going everywhere once the pens start filling.
But the middle pile is empty and so the thieving begins!
Caitlin tries to block Matt’s path to her pile but Matt trots around and grabs some balls.
Then the dirty tricks really get started. Balls being knocked out of each others grasp, balls being picked up and just tossed out of the pens, Caitlin even tosses one ball at Matt’s stack to send a few flying away!
Five minute warning!
Mary and Caitlin have a plan – they’re both focusing on Matt. All they need to do is ensure he has no balls left at the end and they’ll get their passes.
Matt’s having a chuckle at not having any balls left and the girls both having big piles. Caitlin tries throwing some balls at Matt as he goes to steal some of her balls.
Matt’s strategy isn’t working so he says he’s going to try cheating instead! He’s picking up balls and then “accidentally” dropping them so they roll away.
Everyone’s having a good chuckle at all the shenanigans, even Matt. He says he tried his best, but he got spanked.
So Matt’s out, poor Matt. Caitlin and Mary get the last two passes, thanks to a smart move on the girls part, Mish says.
Matt doesn’t seem too bothered overall. Says he’s still got a ways to go on his journey but he’s sure he’ll get there now.
4 weeks later Natalie’s still training hard, despite the stress fracture. Matt’s enjoying his life a lot more. And he’s going for walks with his fiance, both are on track for being much healthier for their wedding. Matt says she’s lost 16kg, which is a great result too!
Natalie asks her boys how the healthy meal she’s cooking looks and one gives a noncomittal “Yeah, looks alright.” Bwahaha!
Natalie’s lost nearly 20kg and hopes to lose another 15kg before finale. And she’s much happier now!
Matt’s lost over 20kg and is aiming to be around the 90kg mark for finale.
Tomorrow night on The Biggest Loser Australia… ooh, police training! It’s the elite police training unit’s course. And someone’s going to be a “casualty of war”, says Mr Voiceover Man.
That’s a little tacky. Unless someone actually does die. Then it’s super tacky!
