9×11 – Big Kev versus Big Mary… FIGHT!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Kerry won immunity at the challenge. Matt was sent home thanks to the fridge, Natalie’s sick and Big Kev wilted at the challenge and has been carted off to hospital.
Tonight we find out what’s wrong with Big Kev, other than his morbid obesity. Also Big Mary is having a Big Blowup in last chance training… which means there’s another weigh in and elimination looming!
But first we’re off with Big Kev at hospital as he gets checked after his heart troubles at the challenge. He describes three sharp pains in his chest that grabbed then released him. He also noticed some skips in his heart beat. I’m no heart doctor but both of those sound pretty bad!
9×10 – Treadmills rolling over an open pool… *sings*
Previously on The Biggest Loser there was a hay bale challenge back in Ararat that Blue won under somewhat controversial circumstances.
Back at Camp Biggest Loser The Fridge resulted in Toni gaining immunity and Matt being sent back home to Ararat.
Tonight! Challenge night for the champs. Treadmills hanging over the edge of a pool, keep walking till you fall over and land in the pool. And Big Kev’s going to emerge a bit worse for wear…
But first Hayley arrives at Camp for a chat with the champs. Everyone immediately says uhoh. Hayley says she doesn’t want to be the uhoh lady, she wants to be the yayyyy lady!
9×09 – Fridgey McFridgepants returns!
Previously on The Biggest Loser Cam was sent home at Elimination, kinda, because his heart has something very seriously wrong with it.
Tonight! A challenge back in Ararat with Michelle and the townsfolk. Back at Camp Biggest Loser The Fridge is back, as is training. And Jane’s going to reveal what’s been holding her back, but will anybody care?
First though, glum faces go back into the lounge room after elimination. Nobody’s real thrilled that Cam had to go home on such a note.
Everyone says they’re going to miss Cam’s motivation and friendliness around the house.
Except Katrina, who has to point out that they’ve lost two strong blokes each week now.
9×08 – Big Kev Enters, Someone Else Leaves!
Previously on The Biggest Loser… god, what, more than a week ago?
Cal succumbed to Temptation but has to choose between taking $30,000 out of the town’s kitty and leaving or staying on. Blue won the weekly challenge and got “rewarded” with Big Kev. Cam’s suffering from some kind of cardiac problem and may have to leave, he’s off getting tests.
Tonight, will Cal leave? Will Big Kev have lost weight at the weigh in? Who’ll be sent home at elimination?
But first, Sharon’s telling Cal she wasn’t impressed by his “motivational” yelling at the challenge. Cal says it was frustrating watching two of his team carry one hay bale while Mary dragged one by herself, back and forth.
Sharon tells Cal that they physically couldn’t lift a bale by themself but Cal’s not having any of it, says they should have tried harder. Sharon and Caitlin eventually leave the lounge.
Loser bumped to Wednesday night. In other news…
The Biggest Loser Australia returns tomorrow night, 7.30pm. Presumably to try and dodge some of the mauling My Kitchen Rules has been inflicting on it in the ratings.
But off in America-land they’ve been dealing with something of a controversy arising from their most recent series finale. Winner Rachel Frederickson shed over 60 percent of her body weight to take both the title and the record for most weightloss by percentage in any season worldwide.
Naturally this has drawn a past contestant of our own out of the woodwork, along with perennial fingerpointer and former host Ajay Rochester.
First we have season 3 contestant Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello, who spills the beans on the fake weigh in scales used for TV and that it’s not always exactly a week between weigh ins. Hardly surprising news to most folk, though the time between weigh ins is something one would hope they’ve worked on in recent seasons.
Ajay’s back too, with her claims of contestants drinking tea tree oil and dehydrating themselves to a dangerous extent. She’s offering online consultations to help people lose weight, which seems a little ridiculous given she can’t keep her own weight under control. It’s a tough struggle, no doubt, but if she doesn’t have the answers for herself why would people trust her advice? Bit odd.
Before I link to the story I feel it’s important to warn there’s a picture of Ajay in a bikini and a picture of Rachel Frederickson at the finale. Both may be disturbing to some viewers!
