8×28 – King Dick and the Fat Princess Amber!

Previously on The Biggest Loser Robyn and Katie won a half kilo advantage at the next weigh in while King Dick’s scheming, conniving ways left Janet and Kirsten with a half kilo penalty.

Tonight is weigh in night once more. Will this be the week King Dick’s weightloss won’t be enough to drag Amber’s weak losses over the line?

But first, last chance training. Janet and Kirsten are first to face Mish, their trainer. They’re nervous about facing her because they have the half kilo disadvantage from losing. Especially since they got “screwed over” by light blue, Janet says. Cue replay of light blue screwing them over. And Janet tells Mish it really upset her. But Mish takes a deep breath and says she’s not going to let that beat them. Time for last chance training and Mish is planning to smash them today!

Mish is wearing another in her line of training gear. It has a window to her cleavage! I approve, obviously.

Mish is cheering Janet on the spinbike. Janet’s going very hard and Mish is bouncing up and down excitedly while Kirsten continues running up and down the stairs out front. Mish tells us it’s her personal mission to ensure this isn’t their last, last chance training!

Janet’s puffing and panting at one point and then starts herking and berking and thinking she’s going to throw up. She wanders off up the stairs making noises and shooing the camera crew away because she doesn’t want anyone to see her puking. Kirsten tells us she should quit the dramatics and just throw up somewhere. Puke in the garden, she calls out. Mish eventually goes after her to check she’s okay. She’s still freaking out and dry heaving. She says she had to give it everything today because she made a promise.

Mish tells her that what she loves about Janet is she’s so innocent and lovely and thinks everyone else is the same, but they’re not. There’s gameplaying and so on. Just worry about your own stuff. Kirsten’s still rowing away on the lawn while they chat. Then Mish says the heaving is a good workout, too. Good for your abdominals!

Mish is abominable!

Then it’s King Dick, The Fat Princess Amber, Robyn and Katie to see Commando Steve and crow about how clever they were at the challenge, getting Robyn and Katie the advantage and then avoiding the penalty for King Dick. Lots of talk about alliances and who has an alliance with who and so on.

None of it matters, you’ve got to do the work. And Steve reminds them of that!

On top of the Last Chance Training with Steve today is Special Treatment Training. Robyn thinks Special Treatment should be a massage or a facial.

I think a lot of people would like a facial from Commando Steve but that’s probably outside the parameters of the show.

It’s actually just some one on one training time with Steve.

Richard’s face is going very red during his special treatment training and Amber’s getting a bit worried he might explode. King Dick says it’s the most intense training he’s done since coming on the show.

Steve’s cracked a smile at how hard Richard’s working and Commando is very proud of him today. They should be like that every time from now on if they want to get to the finale.

After an ad break Shannan has his teams at a proper boxing gym. He’s called on one of his mates for a special session. Two time world champ Daniel Geale!

Apparently he’s been to Europe and won world championships twice without knocking anyone out. So he’s won on points. The lamest way to win a fight. Woo.

Gerald’s a fighter, Shannan says. He’s taken a lot of knocks in his life and it’s taken its toll. But he’s fighting back now, lost lots of weight. Daniel tells him to keep on fighting. You know the drill! Daniel reckons he has the fight in him to go all the way. Tells us they could go on to win it, if they keep their focus. Stuff we always hear. Often right before they get eliminated. Meep!

Time for weigh in. This’ll bring them down to four teams after the elimination, which could then be the final four or there might be one more elimination before the end.

Robyn and Katie have a half kilo weight advantage for this weigh in and Janet and Kirsten have a half kilo penalty. Hayley reminds us of this AGAIN. Just weigh them already!

First team up is King Dick and Fat Princess Amber.

Richard: 104.5kg 3.9kg Amber: 90.8kg 2.1kg Total: 6kg 2.98%

Pretty good result from both of them. Amber’s a little disappointed at not quite getting under the 90kg mark. Richard’s a little disappointed at not quite getting 4kg. He says everyone’s in danger today. And the alliance might have shifted. If they need it, it might save them. If they don’t, all good!

Next up is Mandy and Brett.

Mandy: 83.2kg 2.3kg Brett: 139kg 3.8kg Total: 6.1kg 2.67%

Second place already. That’s trouble! Brett was hoping for better than a 3 at the front of his number, but oh well. He enjoyed the makeover stuff, too. And he was happy to hear his Dad is proud of him. Brett’s Dad has wanted Brett to work out more for a long time and now he’s on the way to doing just that.

Next up, Gerald and Todd. Go boys! Gerald’s very nervous, but he’s worked hard in the gym and that’s all he can do…

Gerald: 112.5kg 5.5kg Todd: 81.8kg 2.5kg Total: 8kg 3.95%

Yeah boys! First place. Katie looks fucking FILTHY. Put a smile on your face you rotten cow. They worked really hard and it paid off on the scales. At least Robyn’s smiling and clapping for them.

Gerald says alliances have been in play since the start but no matter what there’s a yellow line and if you’re above that, you can’t be touched.

Next up, Robyn and Katie. Katie exclaims, “Thank god!” Robyn’s hoping they’ll be above the yellow line regardless, but if the advantage helps, so be it.

Robyn: 81.4kg 1.1kg Katie: 99kg 3.9kg Total: 5kg, 5.5kg after advantage, 2.97%

Third place, pushing Brett and Mandy below the line. Katie was very excited as soon as her number flashed up as she’s under 100kg. Robyn’s less happy because she feels like she’s let Katie down. You’re still a lot lighter than her. And a lot fitter!

Last to weigh in, Janet and Kirsten with the half kilo penalty. To stay safe they need 5.3kg between them. That’s a very big number for the girls because they’re both getting pretty light now. Mish says as much, too. She’s looking pretty worried for them.

Janet: 77kg 3kg Kirsten: 77kg 2.1kg Total: 5.1kg, 4.6kg after penalty, 2.89%

Fourth place, facing elimination with the grey team. Mish says screw the half kilo, the girls kicked arse and good on them! She’s breaking into tears a little as she reminds us all they got the penalty from a challenge they couldn’t really have won and despite the penalty they went hard in training, picked themselves up and fought hard. They should be proud. Hayley says that without the penalty they would have been safe.

Janet says she has regrets about the way the challenge went down. She says she would have preferred to have just lost on their own merits, rather than having been used. Richard tells us they were just looking after themselves…

Kirsten says that whatever happens now, happens. The other teams can only make the decisions that are best for them. Kirsten tells us the frustrating part is that without the penalty the orange team would have been pushed below.

So grey and pink face elimination. Pretty easy choice there, Brett and Mandy best pack their shit.

Hayley says that at this point in the game it’s only fair that everyone gets a chance to vote so they’ll all be in the room to cast a vote tonight. Which is surely not a contrivance built to announce something else at the end of the elimination!

Kirsten and Janet are having a chat in their room and hoping that orange and blue will repay the favour from the challenge. Janet says she loves King Richard but she would be very careful about trusting him now. Kirsten’s hoping that their willingness to help in challenges will get them safe.

Mandy’s chatting to Brett about the old plan of getting rid of the returnees first. But they don’t think that’s in play anymore, Brett’s pretty sure the others’ word won’t mean squat tonight and I’m betting he’s right. Gerald and Todd might stick by it but you can bet orange and blue will be sending grey home!

No chatter from the other teams before elimination room time? Okay. Let’s get on with it, then.

The order is Katie, Gerald, Richard, Todd, Robyn, Amber for the votes. Whether that will play into anything remains to be seen.

Brett thinks the challenge may play a role in the outcome today, since there was a lot of alliance shenanigans going on. Richard is asked if he thinks grey betrayed them but Richard says only that grey’s plan may have backfired a bit but ultimately they’re on the wrong end of the table and Brett gives a nod at that.

Kirsten’s a bit teary because they’re up the wrong end of the table again. And it’s mostly on a technicality since they did enough work to be safe, but the half kilo penalty did them in.

So what happened at the challenge? Pink thought they were teamed up with blue and orange for the challenge after being called into the plot. They figured they’d lose without help so they decided to jump at the chance. But then they helped other people and it wasn’t reciprocated, at least not yet. Hopefully they have their backs today? Amber’s asked if pink helped them and she said yes, they did, but then they got helped in return.

Yeah, for one pointless flag! Twat.

Amber then says it was every team for themself in the final round and that’s just how it panned out. She doesn’t feel like she owes anyone anything in the game right now.

Katie says it’s a tough decision she’ll have to make. Because Mandy and Brett kept her safe way back in the day against Janet and Kirsten, but they’re also a big threat so they don’t know which one to safe. And they owe pink a debt too because without the advantage they’d be up the other end instead of pink.

Gerald says it’s always tough. He’s pretty sure he knows how it’s going to go, and it’s not the way he wants it to go, but there’s always a hope someone’s changed their mind…

Last plea, Kirsten? Pointy end of the comp, $200,000 on the line, who’s the bigger threat, yada yada yada. Janet says they’re near the end of their weightloss and she doesn’t think they can win but they’d like to be there at the end. While the grey team, if they’re still there, could definitely win.

Brett says the only hope they have is the old alliance. The Final Four alliance. He pulls out a piece of paper they’ve all written on back before the returnees… returned! Richard has a good chuckle at that. Brett asks them if they’re going to stick with their promise, or not?

Time to vote!

If the vote is tied it’ll be Mandy and Brett going home as they had the lowest percentage.

Katie says it was a difficult decision to make. There was a final four, they wanted to go the way.. but they’re at the stage where they have to start getting selfish. (START?!) And so she’s had to vote out the biggest threat. Mandy and Brett on one vote!

Gerald has a knowing smile at that.

Gerald likes being pushed in the gym, likes having competition. One team has already lost the weight they needed, one team can push him further. Janet and Kirsten on one vote!

Richard says it’s the most interesting vote so far. The pink ladies did help him at the challenge and even though they feel like they were abandoned, it wasn’t their intention. So he’s wishing Brett and Mandy good luck, giving them two votes now!

One more vote means Brett and Mandy go home. Surely Todd won’t vote for them, though.

Todd says it’s a really hard thing to do and he’s voted for Janet and Kirsten. Not very surprising.

Robyn says there was a big alliance, things changed at the challenge and one of the teams ended up where her and Katie should have been so in the end they’ve had to vote Brett and Mandy out.

Brett’s upset, he might cry again, but whatever. Experience of a lifetime. Happiest time of his life, he says. Biggest Loser saved his life. Came into it with no hope but credit to the trainers and other contestants and they’ve come through it stronger. Mandy’s amazed at all the firsts she’s done at Camp. And she’d do it all again!

79kg between the two of them since day one. That’s a lot of meatballs!

4 weeks later and Brett’s looking skinnier. Though his skin’s a little loose when he’s jumping around at basketball at least he’s able to jump around at basketball now. He’s happy to be running faster, too.

Mandy’s been using the home gym every day since getting home. Happier and healthier in general.

Audition tape is awkward viewing for both. Neither of them wants to look at the tv or each other for long.

Brett reckons he’ll never go back to the bad foods.

Tomorrow night the final four are heading to NEW ZEALAND! Again. More adventures. More hiking, bicycling, swinging, jumping out of a helicopter, racing cross country for the golden ticket to finale.

Some will rise to the occasion, some will collapse under the pressure. Who’ll be first into the finale and who’ll be the last to be eliminated? Find out… soon. Ish.
