TBL 7×71 – Penultimate Episode. Penultimate Weigh In. Ultimate Elimination!

Previously on The Biggest Loser they revisited the obstacle course from earlier in the season, this time the trainers completed it with their contestants.

Tonight! Last Chance Training takes place in a cage underneath the ground. And Tiffiny’s going to bust out some ninja moves on the contestants. Exciting!

Later, the weigh in is dramatic, as usual. Then a twist at the elimination leaves everyone gobsmacked. More exciting!

This is the final Last Chance Training, Shannan says, so they’ve got something special in store for the remaining contestants.
They’re down in the basement and there’s a cage with the trainers standing inside, looking fierce. Kasey says she thinks they might be doing some cage fighting!

Time for the contestants to step up and prove they’re worthy of a spot in the Finale.

Tomorrow’s the weigh in, but they’ve got to get through this session first, Shannan tells them.
They’re in the fight of their life, Tiff says. They’ll step into the cage and train for ten minutes with each trainer. The trainers will throw everything they’ve got at them, Steve says.

Kasey doesn’t like it when Commando Steve yells at her so she’s most worried about that, because he’ll yell at her.

Margie’s in the cage first with Shannan. First time Shannan’s had Margie to train in the entire season and he says Margie’s the one to beat? Show him what she’s got!

Margie’s doing some MMA style sparring with Shannan. Boxing, kicks, knees, moving around the cage smoothly.
Margie wants to get the respect of the other trainers, show she’s got what it takes.

Next up is Tiff versus Margie. And while they’ve both got body armour on it’s obvious Margie’s surprised by Tiff’s power when kicking.
They’re taking it in turns to kick each other at first but Tiff’s clearly getting the better of Margie. Margie tells us it’s like the revenge of the midgets, Tiff was out to hurt her and she was doing it.
Last is a board break, which Margie does quite well, too.

Next up is Commando Steve. Margie knows this is going to flog her. Steve’s got her doing some weights and some kicks and basically a lot of power techniques.

Mish is last of all. Margie’s not holding back, Mish says, even though it’s her own trainer now. Mish told her to go and she’s going!
Mish has a big bag thing and is getting Margie to do uppercuts into it, followed by a series of knees up into it. Margie’s obviously knackered at the end.

Alex’s turn!
Alex is in with Tiff first. Alex has a sore hand and a busted rib but there’s nothing wrong with his legs so Tiff’s getting him to do some kicks into a bag.
Alex says Tiff’s only 40kg and he’s still over 100kg, he hopes he doesn’t hurt her. Wouldn’t worry, Alex. If you hurt her she’ll just kick your arse!

Alex is feeling like Bruce Lee for a bit, during the kicks. He unleashes one on Tiff and she screams as she always does and Alex apologises and Tiff says no, she’s fine, no apologies in the cage, she always screams.
Bloody tae kwon do practitioners, so noisy!

Alex says he’s having a lot of fun with Tiff because she’s screaming and hopping around and stuff.

But next is Mish! Mish is getting him to do some boxing and pushing her around the cage. She’s a little scary, he says, her eyes bulge out and she means business but he won’t be broken by her.

Commando Steve’s turn. Alex is stuffed by this point. Steve’s impressed that Alex is still going strong after two trainers though, despite the busted rib. That’s the sort of thing they need in their contestants, the determination to keep going.
Steve asks him if he can win The Biggest Loser and Alex says if he can jump the hurdle of the final weigh in, yes he can!

Kasey’s turn next. Didn’t see Alex with Shannan? Hmm.

Kasey doesn’t want to break in the cage. She wants to show she has the fight to be in the top three.
Mish has Kasey doing boxing and knees and so on as well.

Steve’s Kasey’s next trainer. Kasey says she’s feeling good, being in the cage is a bit scary but she’s pumped too.
More kicking with Commando Steve. He’s screaming at her but Kasey says she won’t be broken by him.

Tiff and Kasey have come a long way together and this is the last time they train together in the house so, for the last time, warrior cry!
Tiff’s pretty much chasing her around the ring unleashing kicks and has to stop for a second to give Kasey a chance to retaliate. Ha!
What do you weigh, Kasey? 75kg! What did you used to weigh? 132kg.
One word per kick. Lonely, shy, unhappy. Who are you? The Biggest Loser!

Brenda with Mish now. Punches and burpees! Brenda remembers Mish being tough on her back in the day and breaking her then. They had a big issue around squats. Brenda couldn’t do them properly and they had a big argument about it, including Mish actually storming out of a training session.
Mish is goading her on in the cage, trying to get her to push her over and stuff.

Brenda’s in the cage last of all with Shannan. He’s doing some sparring with her too. He does a kick and gets her to block, then return the punches and so on.
They’re having a chat about her journey so far and how much she’s changed since he met her. Brenda’s always been afraid of failing, didn’t have the confidence. She’s not afraid anymore, she’ll be the biggest loser tomorrow!
Not afraid to announce it? Not afraid of failure anymore then? Brenda says if she does, so be it, she’s done everything she possibly could to win.

Shannan’s very proud of Brenda’s entire journey. The honest, determination, integrity and respect she’s shown since coming back to the competition.

Shannan congratulates them all afterwards and says he’s not sure he could have kept the same intensity through such a punishing workout, particularly how well Margie went. They’re all so very fit now. And Brenda deserves to be there, too. Her fitness is the equal of any of them.

Alex and Margie are having a chat later about who they’d like to see in the final three. Alex feels like he wants himself, Margie and Kasey in the final three because they’ve put in the hard yards – not that Brenda hasn’t, but the others have been there since Day One. Margie agrees and says that while Brenda’s had her back, they’ve been there since Day One…
Alex will be voting Brenda out, he tells us. He thinks Kasey will be too and Margie’s also saying she will.

Alex has a chat with Kasey next. Only three spots, who does Kasey want in there? Herself, Alex and Margie. Kasey wants Brenda below the Line, too.
If Brenda’s above the Line, what will they do? They’ve all had good diets, but Alex has an injury…

Now Margie and Brenda have a chat. Margie says, straight up, that she expects Brenda would vote her out if Margie ends up below the Line and Brenda says that’d be her worst case scenario and she’s not entirely sure what she’d do.
Margie says she’s not sure what she’d do if Kasey and Brenda are below the Line, Brenda might not be safe then. But if Brenda’s below the Line with Alex? Well, Alex might be going home then…

Traitor!

Anyway, the time for talk is over. The final weigh in at the house is upon us!

Hayley congratulates them all for getting so far. They came to Camp fifteen weeks ago looking to change their lives and they’ve all done exactly that.

Today two will be above the Yellow Line, two will be below. The two above will go straight through to the Finale. The two who fall below will have to face the final elimination. So close, yet so far if you go home on that one!

First on the scales will be Margie. Margie’s really nervous, it’s been a tough week. She gets a big hug from Mish and some reassurance.
Margie says she’s pushed herself hard this week and then nearly died in the cage with “these bastards” but she’s still there.

Margie Previous: 102.6kg
Margie Current: 98kg
Margie Loss: 4.6kg
Margie Percentage: 4.48%

Oooh, that’s a good number, going to be hard to top that. And she’s under 100kg!
Margie says her heart’s beating out of her chest. Margie says her and Mish were aiming for 5kg but she’ll take the 4.6kg. It’s been a hard week, but also the best week so far.
Hayley says that since Day One Margie’s lost 61.1kg!

Next up, Kasey!

Kasey Previous: 87.6kg
Kasey Current: 83.2kg
Kasey Loss: 4.4kg
Kasey Percentage: 5.02%

WHOA! That’s immense. Kasey’s in shock. She was hoping just to get under 85kg. 4.4kg is amazing. She’s very, very happy right now. 49.6kg is her total loss so far.
Tiff’s bouncing on the spot as Kasey comes back. Hee!

Alex next. He’ll need to have lost at least 5.2kg to beat Kasey and guarantee himself a spot in the Finale…

Alex Previous: 102.1kg
Alex Current: 96.6kg
Alex Loss: 5.5kg
Alex Percentage: 5.39%

The first words from anyone are from Alex who announces in a small voice, “I did it.”
Then the excitement kicks in and he’s jiggling on the scales.

This means Margie will be facing Elimination.

Alex is quite emotional. He knew he’d worked hard but he wasn’t expecting another big loss this week. And under 100kg, he hasn’t been that light since he was 18!
Commando Steve is obviously very proud of Alex getting into the Final Three. Steve still remembers sitting beside Alex’s bed waiting to find out if his bung ankle was going to rule him out on the first day… but he survived with the boot and survived through everything else. He’s proof that anyone can do it and he lives up to the “no excuses” motto.
He told the picture of his Mum this morning that he’s done the best that he can, so he’s sure she’d be proud of him now.

Last to weigh in… Brenda. Brenda needs at least 4.3kg to get a spot in the final three. Yikes.
Brenda’s feeling a bit sick. She’s worked hard this week, but if she’s still under then so be it.

Brenda Previous: 83.8kg
Brenda Current: 78.5kg
Brenda Loss: 5.3kg
Brenda Percentage: 6.32%

WOW! Brenda’s now guaranteed a spot in the Final Three as well. AND she’s the Biggest Loser for the week, just like she said she’d be.
Brenda says she can’t stop shaking.
Kasey and Margie look gutted as they’ve realised they’re going to be under the line together now.
Brenda’s very proud of herself for fighting her way back in and proving she can do it.

Shannan says she’s had the life squashed out of her for ten years so to put herself out there and dare to dream? He couldn’t be more proud.

Margie and Kasey will now face Elimination. With Alex and Brenda voting.
Surely Alex will send Margie home. He’d have to be an absolute moron not to.
Brenda? Brenda should go ahead and vote out Kasey, causing a split vote which would send Margie home. HONOUR IS SATISFIED!

Brenda’s chatting with us. She doesn’t want to send either Margie or Kasey home but she has to. So will she vote with her head or her heart? She’s not sure. She might just have to back herself to win and just vote for whoever!

Alex says it’s fantastic to be in the Finale but he’s also a bit sad that Kasey and Margie are below the Line. He’s close to Kasey but also has a good friendship with Margie. But Margie’s the bigger threat.
Last week’s decision was hard but this one is even harder. They’ve formed a little family, they’re like his brother and his sister.

Um. They’re both girls, Alex.

Kasey’s not having much fun packing her bags for the second week in a row. She’s hoping she’ll be safe but she knows what it’s like to go into the Elimination Room planning on voting one way but ending up going the other. She’s hoping Alex has her back but there’s $220,000 on the line so…

Margie’s not too happy about being below the Line and she’s pretty much resigned to the fact she’ll be going home. Alex loves Kasey – as does Margie – so he won’t vote her out. Meaning Margie will be going home.
Margie feels like she’s let herself down and let Mish down, but what can you do?

Ahh, there’s still the twist to go Margie.

Elimination Room time! Nobody looks happy to be there. Even Hayley’s having trouble putting on a happy face.

Margie’s devastated to be up the wrong end of the table at this stage of the competition. She’d love to stay and would beg everyone to stay but she’s sure she’ll be going home.

Kasey says it’s horrible to be up against Margie. They’ve grown close over the last few weeks, she thinks of Margie as a sister and it’s horrible to think one of them will go home and not make the final three.
The worst bit for Kasey, if she had to leave tonight, would be the thought of not getting to finish this. This is the first thing she’s really applied herself to and she’d be devastated.

Brenda says she’s damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t. Her decision will be made with her heart. She’d like to think she’s been strategic but she can’t.

Alex says they’ve been together for fifteen weeks, they’re like his two sisters, his little sister and his bigger sister, and he’s no idea how he’s going to vote.

Brenda says it’s going to be a hard decision either way.

Margie makes a final pitch to get saved, saying she’s no bigger threat than Kasey at the end of the day. She worked her butt off, watched everything she ate and still didn’t lose enough.
Yeahhhhhhhhh but you’ve got a big lead on Kasey, Margie. You’re the bigger threat. Sorry.

Kasey has one last plea, too. She wants the opportunity to finish this and make one of her dreams reality – to make the final three.

Time to write down the name, Alex and Brenda. Write down Margie’s name and be done with it.

The person to receive two votes will be going home. If it’s a split vote, Margie will go home as she has the lowest weightloss.
So Brenda, voting first, voting for Margie means Margie is done for. If she votes Kasey, Margie still has a chance!

Time to reveal your vote… but! Before you reveal your votes there’s something you should know.

WE NEED TO TAKE AN AD BREAK? Pfft.

Back from the ads and Hayley announces again that there’s something they should know.

They’re going to end the journey the same way they started. In the first Elimination they had a choice. They could choose not to reveal their votes and nobody would be eliminated.

Margie was one of the people who did vote last time, for those who don’t recall, sending Selena home.

If someone gets sent home from this, it’ll be a Final Three.
If they choose not to reveal their vote, it’ll be a Final Four at Finale.

And only one of them has to vote.

If they don’t want to send someone home they can just tell Hayley they don’t want to reveal their vote.

Brenda’s first up and she decides not to vote!!!

Margie and Kasey are shocked and very pleased.

Alex. Alex, you going to vote? All the power is with him now. He knows who he’s voted for. Will he send home someone who could beat him?

Alex says both of them are close to his heart and he’d decided to vote strategically, but you know what?

He ain’t voting either! GOOD MAN, ALEX!

Okay, yes, it’s a crazy choice but it’s the choice that ensures nobody thinks you’re a bastard!

Kasey and Margie are STUNNED.

Alex says he’d never send his girls home, never. Margie and Kasey share a big hug and a kiss. Awww.
Hayley says to Brenda and Alex that it was a good decision, with a bit of a choke in her throat. Alex says it was the only decision.

Margie exclaims she needs a beer!

Time to go back to your rooms, savour the final night at Camp and then go home tomorrow.

But it’s not over yet. Time to go and do it all at home and then…

TUESDAY NIGHT! Who will be The Biggest Loser?
Brenda?
Margie?
Alex?
Kasey?

PLACE YOUR BETS NOW!
(In the comments. I’ll tally them up before the Finale airs and see if we get it right. :))
