TBL 7×66 – Loved ones visit. Weigh In. Elimination. Bek is hot. The end.

Previously on The Biggest Loser, ALL the Switzerland. And Graham was sent home at the end of the Uber Challenge, much to the disappointment of people other than me.

Tonight the remaining contestants return “home” to Camp Biggest Loser to surprises galore. First some special visitors and then a surprise announcement at the weigh in.

It’s not going to be a Final Four this year, Hayley announces somewhat ominously.

Margie says they’ve had an amazing week in Switzerland but now they need to get back to normality at Camp.

As they get into Loser Lounge they have a letter already. Hayley’s left them a homecoming present of some kind. UHOH!

There’s a very loud knock on the front door and they go off to see who’s there. Nobody normally knocks on the door so perhaps it’s axe murderers?

Well, no, not unless they’re cleverly disguised as some of the contestants mums and sisters and besties. Margie, Bek and Kasey have their Mum there. Alex has his sister and Brenda has one of her besties.
They’re all surprised but thrilled to see them. Margie’s probably the happiest as she pretty much tackles her Mum and gives her a big hug. Awww!

Now it’s time for the contestants to take their loved ones on a tour of Camp. All the old photos in Loser Lounge and the loved ones are all exclaiming how much smaller they are.

Alex’s sister says he looks fantastic and she’s proud of him. Awww!

Then the trainers turn up! Five contestants plus their loved ones. Where’s Graham?

Graham got sent home at the end of the Super Challenge, of course.
Steve’s a bit disappointed because Graham had started to turn around in his attitude but now he’ll just have to focus all his energy into Alex.

How many lives does Alex have, Steve asks? Margie asks herself the same question, how can they get rid of him?! Everyone has a good giggle.

Mish says the loved ones have turned up on a great day because today is Last Chance Training and it can never be missed. So get in your training gear and we’re off to the gym!

First we’re with Steve, Alex and his sister. His sister’s on a spinbike alongside him for the start of the session.
Alex does indeed have another injury, by the way. He busted a rib when he stacked it on his bike during the Super Challenge which makes finishing all the more impressive. I don’t think anyone would have faulted him for not finishing when he’d busted a rib!

Alex has to keep pushing now. Rita, his sister, says he’s come this far so he’s got to go all the way now!
Alex is determined not to give up now, no matter how hard it gets.

Rita’s amazed by how good Alex is looking and how much happier he seems now. But she always knew he could do it.

Alex can’t overdo it in training so only manages 1.6km while his quite fit sister does 2km. Alex is also still recovering from a respiratory infection.

After an ad break it’s Tiff, Kasey and her Mum. Tiff is getting Bernie, the Mum, involved. If you step in the dojang you’ve got to be a ninja, Tiff declares.

Kasey’s Mum hasn’t seen her run since sports in primary school. Kasey’s straight into the running at 13km/hr and Tiff is urging her on because she doesn’t want to be out of a job!
Kasey says she’s a very different person to the one she was when she came to Camp.

Her Mum is very proud of her after seeing her run. And then even more proud after seeing her doing some punches and burpees. Bernie’s even crying while she watches Kasey go through her paces.

Kasey’s been there since Day One. She’s one of the few left who has. Tiff tells her she deserves to be above the Yellow Line.
Kasey’s very nervous about the weigh in though. There was temptation everywhere in Switzerland and she found it hard to stick to the diet at times.

Now Mish, Margie and Margie’s Mum! Mary’s her name.
Margie’s looking forward to training in front of her Mum. She loves getting smashed in training!

Mary’s just sitting on the bench while Margie goes through her paces. She looks amazed at Margie’s efforts.

Margie’s missed her Mum every day. Margie tells her she’s the best Mum ever. Mary confesses to having worried a lot about Margie, which distresses Margie. She promises her Mum she won’t be that person again.
Mary’s thrilled to see how far Margie’s come and she tells Mish she’ll be forever grateful to her.

Shannan has Bek and Brenda and Bek’s Mum and Brenda’s bestie training in the outdoor gym. Shannan tells them that when Bek and Brenda are in the finals they’ll need someone to push them at home.
Both the loved ones look pretty fit, I must say. Lou is Brenda’s bestie and Brenda thinks it’s great having her there, seeing how hard they train at Camp.

Shannan says having Bek’s Mum there couldn’t’ve happened at a better time as he needs to know Bek will have the support at home.
Shannan immediately takes to calling Bek’s Mum, Mum. Silly boy!
What’s the biggest change in her, he asks Mum. The barrier’s gone, apparently. It’s the Bek from when she was a little girl and then something changed. Shannan states it bluntly – she got fat. Bek’s weight was a no-go zone. But she was really worried about her health and about getting picked on for her weight or discriminated against, etc.
Bek says sorry for making her worry but Bek’s Mum says it’s okay, she gave birth to her and that’s what happens, you worry!

Bek says she’s sorry for letting herself go so much anyway and BekMum says she just has to look after herself going forward.

And, Shannan asks? What else have you had a breakthrough with? She got a letter from Dad. BekMum knows that’s huge for Bek.
After the ad break we also see that BekMum is quite surprised by her getting a letter, too.

Bek tells her Mum it was hard growing up thinking her Dad didn’t love her and she wasn’t good enough. Her Mum says she was more than good enough! But Bek had been blaming herself for it.
BekMum says it’s not the kids that are the troublemakers in that, it’s the parents. And it was so brave of her Dad to send her a letter like that.

BekMum is the proudest Mum in Australia!

Bek’s the one to wrap things up with the families, thanking them all for coming and so on.
Lots of hugs and goodbyes and so on. Lots of waving.

And then DOOOOOOM. Weigh in time. First one since coming back from Switzerland. Should be interesting!

Just five contestants left, Hayley says, and soon it will be reduced to four. Usually, that would be the Final Four for the Finale.

But not this year. This year it will be a FINAL THREE!

Woohoo! I guessed correctly!

Hayley says if they make it through today they still have to face another weigh in and elimination next week.
But before any of that you’ve got to get through this weigh in.

Nobody has immunity today. No weight advantages or penalties. Completely level playing field.

And Alex will be first to weigh in. He’s reasonably confident…

Alex Previous: 107.6kg
Alex Current: 102.1kg
Alex Loss: 5.5kg
Alex Percentage: 5.11%

Wow, huge loss. He’s really happy and Steve nods with approval. Alex was only expecting 2-2.5kg. Steve is blown away, he tells us, with Alex’s age and what he’s been through it’s good to see.
Alex still thinks Margie is his biggest competition. She’s fantastic in challenges and in weightloss so she’s the one to look out for.

And next up is… Bek! She’s quite nervous after all the travelling and the disruption to diet and exercise that entailed.

Bek Previous: 87.3kg
Bek Current: 84.7kg
Bek Loss: 2.6kg
Bek Percentage: 2.98%

Not bad, second place already though. She’s under 85kg and no longer medically obese, just overweight. Another 5kg and she’ll be in the healthy weight range, she says.
She learned to let go of the past in Switzerland and is looking forward to the future. She’s hopeful that loving herself more will lead to more confidence. And maybe one day meet a partner and have a family. Who knows!

Kasey’s next on the chopping block. She looks petrified. Same concerns as Bek, diet and exercise have been lacking a bit.

Kasey Previous: 90.6kg
Kasey Current: 87.6kg
Kasey Loss: 3kg
Kasey Percentage: 3.31%

Second place. Alex is now safe from elimination.
Kasey is very relieved. She was worried she might have put on weight but losing 3kg is great. And under 90kg, Hayley notes. Kasey only just noticed!
Kasey is thrilled she can start to dream big for her future again.

Next, Brenda. To beat Bek and stay above the Yellow Line she needs at least 2.6kg.
Should be doable, Bek got there!

Brenda Previous: 86.9kg
Brenda Current: 83.8kg
Brenda Loss: 3.1kg
Brenda Percentage: 3.57%

Second place and safe from elimination!
She apologises to Bek who says it’s okay. Bek’s been a rock for Brenda, she tells us, since coming back. She’s worried Bek might get sent home by Brenda remaining safe.

Last to weigh in is Margie. Oooooooooh.
She needs to have lost at least 3.6kg to beat Kasey and stay safe.
Margie says she could have a kitten right now. Every time she’s weighed in last she’s had a disappointing result so she’s nervous now.
Mish says the only reason to be nervous is if you’ve cut corners or there’s been issues.

Margie then says she indulged on the way over to Switzerland and also had some bread while she was in Switzerland… Mish does not look happy!

Margie Previous: 107.2kg
Margie Current: 102.6kg
Margie Loss: 4.6kg
Margie Percentage: 4.29%

The relief on her face is evident right away. Now Bek and Kasey will have to face elimination. Eep!
Margie knows she cut corners with her diet and she was overcome with guilt, thinking she would be going home for sure. Won’t happen next time, she’ll leave nothing to chance next time, she says.

So now it’s down to who the other three want to keep. Kasey who’s been there since Day One or Bek who has won her way back in.

Bek’s worried. She’s been sent home once before and it could very well happen again.

Voting is Alex, Margie and Brenda. So two of the Day One people and one returnee. So no matter how you slice it this could be messy!

Time for elimination. Hayley wonders who they’ll save – a friend or someone who’ll pose less of a threat.

Bek would love to stay till the end and stand there in the final three and prove to herself she can make it the whole way. She feels like she deserves to be part of the final three. She had to go home and face the real world and she came back and worked hard.

Kasey’s never faced an individual elimination until now. She was quite proud of that achievement. She’d love to be part of the final three, never been part of the finals in anything in her life. She wants the chance to finish what she started.
Finishing something means a lot to her. She can’t remember the last time she finished anything. Her whole journey has been about making her Mum and Dad proud of her and if she finishes this she’ll be proud of herself, too.

Margie’s got a hard decision. She says it’ll be the hardest one she’s ever had to make. Bek’s had her back since the start and she lights up a room. Kasey? Margie didn’t even really know Kasey was there till Week Six, to which Kasey has a giggle. Margie’s found Kasey to be a “really good kid”.

First to two votes will be eliminated. Bek wishes Kasey good luck, not sure Kasey returns the sentiment!

Brenda’s first to vote. Pretty obvious she’ll be voting for Kasey. Let’s see!
Brenda says one of the girls was a big support and inspiration to her so she’s had to vote for the other – Kasey.
Nobody is surprised!

Next to vote is Alex. Alex says they both deserve to be there but at the end of the day he has to look out for himself and Bek is the stronger of the two at the moment so he’s had to vote for Bek.
Bek doesn’t seem surprised, seems almost honoured in fact.

So it’s down to Margie. She looks quite stricken as she’s realised she’s the first to know who’s going home.
But first, ad break. Naturally.

Margie says it’s very hard. She’s been thinking of who really needs to be there, who needs some more help before they can go home and do it on their own and be successful. She’s voting for the person she knows can do it on the outside. Though she feels a bit of a dog for doing it because she’s been very supportive of Margie.
Margie’s voted for Bek!

Margie says she’s very sorry to Bek and sorry to Brenda as well, who’s bawling her eyes out. Bek seems upset more for making Margie upset and for Brenda’s distress than she does to be going home.
Bek tells Margie she holds no grudges over Margie for her voting her out twice which gets a giggle out of Margie.

It’s really hard for Brenda to see Bek go home. Bek’s been a real inspiration to her and a great friend, helped her get to a better place, be forever grateful and so on. And now Brenda’s going to finish it for them both, so look out everyone else!

So, Bek, what can we expect to see at Finale? Hayley’s scared to ask.
Bek says she’ll have a smile on her face and will be feeling fit and fantastic. And hopefully weighing in the 70s!
Bek’s learned you need to be true to yourself and be strong and courageous. She’s gotten to know herself a lot better and she’s glad she got to come back as she’s really finished off the journey now.

Time to say goodbye and we’ll see you at Finale!

Bek tells Kasey she’s glad Kasey is safe. Tells Margie not to be sad. Alex tells her to keep going. Bek tells Brenda she knows she can do it, it’s only one week, don’t give up!

2 weeks later and… well, Bek looks much the same really. Not that surprising. Only two weeks!
She’s gone from a size 22 to a size 12. And she really does look good in the clothes she’s trying on while out shopping. Her Mum’s worried how they’ll ever get her to stop shopping now!

Never happen, it’s all girls ever do. All of them. ALL OF THEM.

Tomorrow night… REVENGE! TRAIN THE TRAINERS DAY!

And then it’s time to train… Australia. The contestants are going to go to a field somewhere and train a bunch of random Aussies.
