TBL 7×61 – Did somebody call the Waaaaaaaahmbulance?
Previously on The Biggest Loser a freeeeezing challenge out on the water to the beach to dig up a treasure chest to run back up to Camp to unlock.
Margie won that, right? Think so. Anyway.
Kasey won Immunity at Temptation, much to Lydia’s dismay. And hopeful demise!
Tonight! More training. Graham’s going to be pushed PAST breaking point. Ominous arrival of ambulance!
And weigh in and elimination where a “competition heavyweight” will be sent home forever. Which is to say LYDIA. HA!
But first, Graham’s been letting Steve down again by not training when he could have been training. Steve says Graham’s always complaining that if he trains as hard as Commando asks him to train they’ll have to call an ambulance.
Steve’s getting a bit sick of that excuse and says to us that it’s time Graham prove it.
Oh dear!
Steve tells Graham that at the last weigh in Graham had said that he’d need a stretcher. Well, Steve has a surprise. A spiffy Jeep-ambulance. Airconditioned. Cushy stretchy. Medic on standby, the works.
Steve wants him to give it his all today and let’s see what happens.
Steve says to Graham that he’ll believe Graham will pass out WHEN HE PASSES OUT.
Graham’s struggling on the treadmill, puffing and panting and moaning and groaning and looking for chances to give up. Steve tells us he’s come a long way on the journey but he’s still got a long way to go…
You want to be here next week Graham? YESSSSSSS.
After weights it’s time for pushups. Steve keeps asking him questions while he’s going but he can’t answer. Steve tells us the workout is bringing Graham to the point of tears on the floor but the ambulance isn’t needed at all. Graham’s the boy that cries wolf, Steve says.
After the workout Steve asks Graham if he works out that hard by himself and Graham says no. Steve tells him his body is capable of a lot more than he thinks.
Both boys are training well, generally, but if Steve takes his foot off the pedal the boys do too. So they have to keep going and learn to do it themselves, too.
Lydia’s not there for last chance training with Margie and Mish. Margie says it makes it a bit harder for her to push herself but that’s what Mish is there for.
Margie says every time she comes out of a training session she’s done better than she has before. She’s up to 17km/h on the treadmill now. So speedy!
Mish says training brings out the best in Margie, she works very hard.
Mish believes Margie can do 18km/h. Does Margie believe it? She’s not sure but she’s willing to have a go. Mish is telling her to think of her friends and family while doing the last interval at 18km/h. Go Margie go!
Margie’s puffing and panting afterwards but she gets it done. Margie thought she’d be okay last week and was then blindsided by being below the Yellow Line. So she knows she’s got to do everything she can this week.
Bring on the weigh in!
Hey, look at that, after the ad break the weigh in is here. Hooray!
Lydia’s there, too. And doesn’t have a stool to sit on or a knee brace or anything. Can’t be too bad then, can it?
Kasey has Immunity. Margie has a 1kg advantage.
Kasey will be first to weigh in. She should be fine, despite the cupcakes.
Kasey Previous: 91.8kg
Kasey Current: 90.6kg
Kasey Loss: 1.2kg
Kasey Percentage: 1.31%
Safe for another week.
She was worried she’d put on weight but she’s worked hard. And she got to go home and ride her horse. In regular pants and not man-pants!
Bek Previous: 88.9kg
Bek Current: 87.3kg
Bek Loss: 1.6kg
Bek Percentage: 1.8%
First place! Not that it counts for much yet.
Bek says she’s trained really hard and has had a very emotional week as well, so the number doesn’t really reflect her efforts this week.
Bek’s letter from Dad came at the perfect time, she says.
Brenda Previous: 88.4kg
Brenda Current: 86.9kg
Brenda Loss: 1.5kg
Brenda Percentage: 1.7%
Second place. Neither is safe yet!
Brenda was worried after seeing Bek’s loss but she’s still happy to have had another loss this week.
Alex Previous: 111kg
Alex Current: 107.6kg
Alex Loss: 3.4kg
Alex Percentage: 3.06%
First place! And safe from elimination. He’s really happy with that result after only scraping through last week.
Apparently Alex on the Harley was a bit of a chick magnet. He’s hoping he’ll have a new girl on the back of his bike. And is planning on going to Tasmania to pick up Lydia at some point, much to everyone’s amusement.
Margie only needs a 900 gram loss, after her advantage, so she should be able to do that. Her diet hasn’t been great this week, at least not the first half. Last half has been good though.
Margie Previous: 108.3kg
Margie Current: 107.2kg
Margie Loss: 1.1kg
Margie after advantage: 2.1kg
Margie Percentage: 1.94%
Second place and also safe from elimination. Margie had a crappy week, she tells Hayley. She was feeling a bit guilty about Michelle leaving when she should have been happy she was still there. Bit up and down. Had a dustup with Mish, too.
Margie says she’s struggling with her head the most. Not the training or the diet or anything. Margie’s just frustrated with herself.
Mish tells Margie she’s not trying to break her spirit, she’s just trying to get Margie to realise she has to follow some of the rules, not worth thrashing yourself to exhaustion against the things you shouldn’t… or something.
Mish tells Margie she’s had a good week, learnt important lessons.
Graham says this week has been the best week for him. He’s worked harder than ever and didn’t have to get carted away in an ambulance!
Graham Previous: 145.6kg
Graham Current: 145kg
Graham Loss: 0.6kg
Graham Percentage: 0.41%
First one below the Line, first one facing elimination. And he was talking before the weigh in about being the biggest loser this week. Notsomuch!
Graham says he feels like his heart’s been ripped out. Lots of shocked looks on the faces of the other contestants.
Steve says Graham’s pushed himself very hard in training and Steve knows how Graham feels. But everyone has this sort of thing happen. And if he goes home this week then at least it’s on a high, having finished his CABA training.
Graham’s cousin’s children are named Diesel and Sterling? DEAR GOD. Fuckin’ bogans, man. Apparently the kids have been doing the exercises while watching Graham on the TV. Awwww!
Lydia Previous: 92.3kg
Lydia Current: 93.2kg
Lydia GAIN: 0.9kg
Lydia GAIN Percentage: 0.98%
A-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. She’s facing elimination alongside Graham. And surely nobody will be so STUPID as to not send her home.
Lydia’s not surprised. Hasn’t been able to work out and she ate a bunch of cupcakes.
She says she’s thrown herself into it fully from Day One and now she physically can’t do it anymore. She’s not even allowed to climb up the stairs to the gym.
Hayley asks Mish if Lydia’s the hardest working contestant everrrrrrr and Mish says yes, blahblahblah.
Alex is The Biggest Loser of the Week, hooray! Not bad for a guy who was in hospital not long ago.
So Lydia and Graham will face Elimination… As I said on Wednesday. I WIN!
Only five voters tonight so no hung votes.
Kasey’s close to both Lydia and Graham, they’re like siblings to her and they’re both country people too. She’s not sure who to vote for yet.
This is Graham’s FOURTH TIME in the elimination chair. It’s been his best week and he’s not ready to go home. Graham says they’re both threats in different ways.
Margie says two of her favourite people are up this week and it’s hard because they’ve been through so much together.
Graham says he’s got “one more goal” – get to his goal weight, fall in love, get married and have babies. That’s more than one goal!
Graham knows he’ll get there if he stays in the house because it’s easier there, but he’s a long way from his goal still and so it would take a lot longer on the outside.
Come onnnn, they’re going to kick Lydia out. They’re not stupid enough to ignore the big threat two weeks in a row.
Lydia says it’s hard to ask for something, but she’s pleading with them not to let her go home this week on this note.
You’ve been sent home once you can do it again!
Graham and Lydia are totally holding hands, by the way.
Margie says both Graham and Lydia have made her journey so much easier and she hopes the person she’s voted for can forgive her. She’s voted for Graham.
Bek’s next. She says it’s the hardest vote she’s had to cast. She wants to see both of them stay in the game. Lydia’s strong, Graham’s beautiful. Graham’s got a long way to go till his goal so she’s voted for… Lydia.
One vote each.
Alex says he’s known both of them since Day One and he’s stuck in the middle… but his vote is based on loyalty to his old team. He’s voted for Lydia.
Two for Lydia. One more and she goes home.
Kasey says she’s promised both of them she wouldn’t vote for them which means she has to break a promise tonight.
… after the ad break … Kasey’s decided to vote strategically. Who has the potential to go on and win?
So she’s voted for Lydia. HA!
Lydia gives a really superior, disgusting look down the table to Kasey. Kasey says sorry and Lydia says it’s alright. Yeah, it so totally isn’t.
Lydia’s going home. Again!
Lydia recalls Steve saying that as long as you give your best, nobody can criticise you.
Lydia’s proud to go out as Number 1 and even with an injury. Lydia doesn’t bear any hard feelings, she says, not even to Kasey.
SO. GRAHAM. HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR CRUSH GOING HOME? Chortlechortle. Graham says Lydia means everything to him. She’s the kind of girl he wants on the outside. She’s even a great cook.
Lydia says The Biggest Loser has saved her life. And she’s comfortable walking out of the room now. She’s not the biggest person in the room anymore, and she’s happy!
Time to go home, Lydia. Hugs all round!
4 weeks later… She was a size 26 on coming to the house now she shops for size 14. She seems to be back to exercising as well. Including running! So her knee must have gotten a lot better with some rest at home.
TOMORROW NIGHT! Time to get the news that they’re going to SWITZERLAND! Weeeee! Eat ALL the swiss chocolates!
Lots of Facing of Fears and icy cold bathing. And the first Switzerland-y Super Challenge! That’s going to be a lot of fun, high altitude, freezing temperatures.
Do you suppose losing fingers and toes to frostbite would take much weight off them?
