TBL 7×54 – PIZZA PIZZA. And someone is not at all well…
Previously on The Biggest Loser Lydia and Michelle both had a bit of a cry on losing The Contest. Awwww.
Tonight! Temptation is another 24 hour marathon thingy. If Immunity is on offer you can bet there’ll be some takers!
Later a dramatic late night visit from the ambulance men for a very unwell contestant. Hope they’re going to be okay. :-/
But the show picks up as Margie is about to decide who she’s going to send home until weigh in. Will she pick Michelle and be nice? Or will she pick herself because she’d love to go home too?
Margie says it’s been a hard decision because she’d love to see her family and friends but she doesn’t think she’s quite ready for that yet. So the next best person would be Michelle because Margie knows Michelle loves her Mum and her Mum’s birthday is tomorrow and she says she hopes Michelle doesn’t lose focus on the outside.
Michelle asks Margie if she’s sure and Margie says yes, of course, it’s her Mum’s birthday and reiterates that she doesn’t want Michelle to lose focus.
Michelle has to leave Camp immediately. No trainer, no gym access and so on until weigh in. Michelle thanks Margie again on her way out.
Seems Margie does have a heart after all, hooray! She’s undone a lot of nastiness with that very simple act of generosity, in my opinion. Might we start seeing a different Margie now?
Michelle’s hopping into a taxi for her trip home and calls her brother on the ride to try and set up a surprise for her Mum’s birthday. Hee!
Michelle asks her brother to go to their Mum’s house and keep her up and talking until she arrives.
Her next phone call is to Hamish. AWWWW! She’d promised to give him a call if she was out of the house and so she has!
Then we get Hamish saying he had no hesitation in jumping in the car and driving for THIRTEEN HOURS to go visit her and meet her folks. Hamish is bang up for the drive, it seems. Wants more smoochings, no doubt!
Meanwhile, back at Camp it’s Temptation time!
There’s a set of boxes in the centre of the lounge/social area, each with their name on the front. Michelle has a box even though she’s not even there!
Kasey says she’s worried she’ll eat everything in the fridge because she’s started to crave a few things but has resisted thus far.
Temptation Booth! Hayley says they’re going to replicate the real world. A twenty four hour Temptation. Tempting foods and they have access to them at any point during that time.
Hayley asks them if they’ve ever raided the fridge for a midnight snack? Couple of sheepish hands go up. Lydia says she’d go for whatever’s in the fridge, not too fussed. Margie loved toasted cheese sandwiches or cold pizza.
Today’s Temptation is raiding the fridge. Four fridges, stacked with their favourite ready to eat snacks. Ice creams, pizza, chocolate, sandwiches, everything they love.
Sandwiches? That doesn’t seem so bad. I’d probably just substitute lunch for a sandwich. Done!
But part of the Temptation is that they have to eat their snack in the glass walled Temptation Booth. After they finish their food they put their calorie token in their box and whoever has the most calories in their box at the end, wins!
Alex is not there with them, he’s in bed and feeling quite unwell so the other contestants will need to tell him about the Temptation when he’s up and about.
Graham says Alex has been unwell and it’s been worrying Graham for almost a week now. I guess we know who’s getting the ambo visit later on?
After Hayley leaves them and starts the clock the contestants head to the fridges to check out their options. Kasey and Lydia find the pizza fridge first and immediately call the pizza fiend Margie over. She says it’s really hard to resist when they’re right there waiting for them.
I’d be more worried if it was freshly delivered pizza rather than cold. Is there anything better than freshly delivered pizza when you haven’t had it for months and months? Oh god, I want pizza now.
Michelle arrives home to surprise her Mum. It’s obviously quite late as it’s pitch black outside. The family is in watching the TV. Can’t tell what it was.
Michelle sneaks inside and heads to the lounge room and her Mum squeaks in joy when she sees Michelle. Awwwwwwww! Her Mum’s amazed at how small Michelle has gotten. Her Mum’s also in her pyjamas so she obviously wasn’t expecting company.
Michelle’s sister? Sister in law? Has a baby on the way. Michelle is giving the belly a rub. BABIES!
Michelle says there’s another bit to the surprise, too. They’re going out for dinner for her Mum’s birthday and there’ll be another guest at the table. Hamish is coming to visit too. Mum and Dad seem a little nervous at that news, the brother and sister/in-law are gleeful!
Michelle tells us her brother’s a bit of a joker so he’ll be getting a bit of a death stare, but she thinks Hamish will do well with the parents.
Bek and Brenda are thick as thieves in the kitchen back at Camp discussing Alex being up and about again. Apparently he’s not trained in two days and so they think maybe he might take Temptation. Or maybe he won’t, in fear of not being able to burn the calories back off before weigh in.
Brenda tells us she’d only take part in Temptation as part of the game, because she’s not tempted by the food itself. But she might be able to eat something small and have nobody go against her.
But she says to Bek that people probably won’t do it while others are around, it’ll happen in the middle of the night.
Mish, Shannan and Steve turn up for training. Poor Tiff is out of action, sick as well. But they arrive and find the Temptation in full swing. Lydia’s sitting in the booth and pretending she’s been tempted, but she’s just faking Mish out.
The trainers head to the fridges to have a look at the options themselves.
1,700 calories in a tub of white chocolate & raspberry ice cream, apparently.
Margie says she’s worried by everyone opening the fridges all the time and making the pizzas go off!
Mish says the trainers have never been in a Temptation before, they’ve never seen one. LIAR! You saw it in The Bunker Mish! Ha!
Alex is still out of action, Graham says. So he’s not back up yet? Hmm.
Anyway, Shannan says it’s that time of the competition where people sometimes get a bit sick and taking care of yourself is super important.
Mish asks if there’s any nemeses in the fridges for anyone? Lydia confesses the chocolate ice creams are her big one. Mish grabs them up out of the freezer and is obviously going to run away with them.
What’s Margie’s? Nothing. Nothing at all! You stay away from those pizzas! Nope, Mish grabs a plate of them too.
Kasey? Ham, cheese and tomato sandwich. No Mish, they’re not in that fridge. They’re in the other fridge. Kasey already knows which one they’re in!
Mish is taking them away with her to use as inspiration while training Lydia, Margie and Kasey since Tiff isn’t available today and Michelle is at home anyway.
How long does it take to burn off a 251 calorie ice cream?
A 138 slice of pizza… but who’d have one slice, Mish asks? See, even if Mish is super crazy fit SHE KNOWS PIZZA IS AWESOME.
A 444 calorie sandwich? Geez, that’s a lot of calories for a sandwich. :-(
They’re on the spinbikes to see how long it takes to actually burn off the calories in each. They’ve been going five minutes when Mish says they’ve only bought themselves 40 calories so far!
Pizza? Margie makes grabby hands at it. She says it’s just a little slice! Back in the day she used to have an entire large pizza, along with some beers as well. Her diet was ridiculous and she knows it.
400 calories for Lydia, 440 for Kasey, 430 calories for Margie. So is it worth all that effort for one of those Temptation-y things? Nup.
Margie grabs the pizza and starts to walk off with it… but she just walks to the bin and dumps it in there. WASTE! They all end up dumping their food in the bin.
Not worth it for the food, but all the hard work is worth it every day in getting up stairs and so on.
Shannan’s got Bek and Brenda training in the loungeroom with all the Temptation stuff set up around them. He’s got them doing weights and pushups and spinbikes and pulling the dumbbells up off the ground in an arch position and kettle weight pulls and… Ooof!
Shannan says Bek’s flying under the radar a bit but she’s getting very fit and strong and is a force to be reckoned with.
Shannan tells the girls he wants the other contestants to take Temptation because they’re scared Bek and Brenda are going to be too strong for them.
Shannan tells us that in real life people will eat the pizza or the chocolate and go for a half hour walk and tell themselves they’ve burned it off but the reality isn’t even close. He wants to show the girls how much work it actually takes to burn each calorie. They’ve done 450 calories in 40 minutes. So that’s a soft drink and a slice of pizza, Shannan says, or near enough.
He’ll support them either way, but now they know what’s involved in burning the calories off. If you eat the calories, you pay. You play, you pay!
Alex is finally up and about at 4.30pm. He says he had some respiratory problems earlier in the day, some pains in his chest, but he’s feeling a lot better now.
Everyone welcomes him to the Temptation. Alex opens one of the fridges and sees all the food and everyone tells him it’s all his! All his to eat in the next 19 hours!
Margie’s in his ear right away saying he might need Immunity since he can’t train? He’s come too far to get knocked out of it now so maybe he should think about it?
Noooo! Eat healthy and you’ll lose the weight, Alex. Don’t ruin it!
Alex is thinking he might have a plane ride home if he doesn’t go for it but he might also have a plane ride home if he can’t lose any weight and thus lose his Immunity he wins…
He’s seriously thinking about it, even though it goes against everything he’s been doing in the house. He’s promised Commando he’d never take part but because he hasn’t been able to train he’s going to have to break his word and take Temptation.
He grabs what looks to be a piece of pizza, a sandwich and some kind of icy deliciousness. Fruit pole? Not sure.
Alex is into the booth and eating as Kasey and Margie saunter back in. He also has a can of soft drink it seems to wash it all down. Kasey’s a bit jealous of him eating the pizza.
Alex figures he has to do it or he’ll go home. Kasey tells him now he’s made the decision he has to WIN.
Margie tells us that they want to keep Immunity within the original Final Five, look out for each other to the end.
Alex is up to 1100 calories and Margie says he’ll probably only need another 500 and he should win with that. Hopefully.
And hopefully nobody will go ahead and eat a bunch more than Alex. And hopefully he won’t put on weight. And hopefully he won’t be sick next week and unable to work out again.
He’s burping up a storm as he puts the food tokens into the box!
Now we’re off to Michelle’s house as Hamish arrives. Awwww! Big hugs on the door step. Awwww!
Michelle’s secretly a bit nervous about Hamish meeting her Mum. Will they get along?
Michelle’s Mum’s name is Isobelle? Okay. Hamish is very nervous and shy about it all. But he’s managed to get through meeting her.
Then Michelle takes Hamish off to her bedroom. GIGGITY?
No. Just hey, this is my room! How pretty is it?
And oh yeah, right next door? Your room. Apparently Michelle’s Mum set up the spare room when she found out he was coming to visit. HAHA OLD PEOPLE.
They seem happy though. Say they’ll be talking through the wall and stuff.
Hamish says driving 13 hours across two states is the most romantic gesture he’s ever made for a girl and it was totally worth it!
Back at Camp night has fallen and Margie’s gone in search of Alex who seems to have disappeared. He’s up in his room and struggling mightily to catch his breath. He’s worried he’ll stop breathing entirely and Margie tries to settle him down and not let him panic. He’s got large pains in under his chest, knows it isn’t the food he’s eaten but it might be a lung or his liver. Either way the guy is obviously in a lot of trouble.
A bit later the medic is in with him as the ambulance arrives with the ambos coming up to his room to find out what’s going on, etc.
Makes it all a lot scarier when they turn up, I must say!
Alex says the pain is mostly when he breathes in and the ambos ask him some other questions about his activities and medications and so on, take his blood pressure.
Graham says Alex means everything to him at Camp, he’s like a brother and has been his inspiration for the whole journey.
They’re taking him off to hospital it seems. Margie says it doesn’t look good.
Tomorrow night… will Alex be ruled out of the game due to medical problems?
Well he’s not present for the motivational chat with… Kurt?
Ahh, that’d be Kurt Fearnley, world champion wheelchair athlete.
And Kurt’s from Carcoar. Him and Graham go way back, apparently!
Then the weekly challenge is another one of those endurance things. Stack the weight across your shoulders until you can’t stands no more!
