TBL 7×52 – Eliminated contestants discover their fates…

Previously on The Biggest Loser… the Eliminated Contestants are back! Kinda. They’re competing for a weigh in pass for tonight’s weigh in to maybe get a ticket back into the game if they don’t get eliminated or… something.

Tonight! We find out who gets to go to the weigh in and what the results are. Both for the eliminated contestants and the remaining contestants. The remaining contestants all have immunity from the elimination to follow but there seems to be a twist in the proceedings for the eliminated folk.

But first, how’re Bek’s boobs doing? The end of the Iron Man race is still up in the air. Will Shane overtake Bek and pick up a weigh in pass? It looks like it’s between them two, though it seems like Bek’s a long way ahead. Hamish is finally getting out onto the water as Shane is maybe halfway to the boat?

But it’s all for naught as Bek gets to the boat ahead of everyone and grabs up her own weigh in pass. And the boat hoons off with them both on the fantail.

Poor old Shane is abandoned in the middle of the surf and has to make his way back to shore. Mean!
Bek and Brenda are stoked to be heading back to Camp. Ryan, Hamish and Shane look dejected as they get the news that their chance at getting back into the house is gone. Shane was in third and he’s disappointed, but also proud of how far he’s come.

Says he’ll be proud and healthier at the Finale and well on the path to getting his life back.

Hayley says their journey isn’t over, time to go back home and finish the job they’ve started. Off they waddle down the beach. Awwww.

The remaining contestants and the three eliminated contestants who already have weigh in passes are speculating on who might come back. Alex thinks Bek and Shane, Margie would like to see Bek come back as she has a soft spot for her.

Lydia asks if there’s anyone they don’t want to see back in the house and Lisa immediately pipes up, “Lydia!” Harharhar.

Everyone’s pleased to see Bek come in the door first and then very surprised to see Brenda, of all people, come in behind her.
Alex tells us he’d much rather them two than Shane or Ryan.

The girls retell the challenge. Bek says Brenda smashed the Iron Man challenge and Brenda feels really good about winning something, she’s never won anything in her life.

Margie tells us everyone’s happy with Bek and Brenda winning the other passes because nobody really thinks of them as big threats.
Brenda just won an Iron Man and Bek wasn’t all that far behind. Might be time to start taking them a bit more seriously, guys!

Tiff’s got her girls in the dojang for training again. They’re working really hard for Last Chance Training to show the returning contestants they’ve come a long way and get some big numbers on the scales.
Tiff says the girls have changed a lot since the eliminated contestants returned, their heads have been right in the game. Kasey in particular seems to have a bit of an attitude going on, saying she’s going to help them pack their bags right back up because they won’t be returning for long!
Tiff tells us that on Day One she had princesses and now she has warriors!

Margie’s food habits have been worrying Mish. She’s snacking a lot more than she should and if she wants to stay competitive her nutrition needs to improve.
Margie tells Mish she’s been using her food diary online. She’s been putting her main meals in but not all the little snacks she has, she admits. Handful of grapes, some strawberries, etc. Mish says a lot of people at home do the same thing, snacking here and there and not keeping track of it and then wondering why they’re not getting the results.

Shannan’s got his eliminated contestants, those that remain, doing Last Chance Training in the outside gym again. Time to put in the hard yards and get all the way back in.
Shannan asks Bek how it feels that the others don’t see her as a threat, still see her as a princess? Bek says she doesn’t give a rats, in those exact words, because it’s just distracting them, it’s not bothering her at all. She’s determined to get back in and she knows the only way to do that is to get above that Yellow Line. Shannan tells us Bek has a steely look of determination in her eyes. He seems impressed!

Time for the weigh in!
Margie would like Lydia to get back in but also would like her to not get back in because she’s a huge threat and Margie would have to work so much harder to stay ahead.

Remaining contestants, you have immunity. Hooray!
Eliminated contestants, you’ve got a chance to get back into the game. Two of them will be above the Yellow Line and IMMEDIATELY BACK INTO THE GAME! :-o
Three will be below the Line and up for Elimination. One of them will be voted back IN while the other two are sent home. So three returnees, in total? Wow.

Hayley reminds the remaining contestants that gaining weight will strip them of Immunity. Will someone finally do so this season?
Margie’s up first and with her dietary blunders, she’s nervous…

Margie Previous: 111.4kg
Margie Current: 110.3kg
Margie Loss: 1.1kg
Margie Percentage: 0.99%

She doesn’t look thrilled by that result, but pleased she’s still there.
Margie wasn’t happy when the returning contestants came back, but ultimately been good for her because it’s extra motivation. Especially Bek, who’s always bright and cheerful.
She does consider “the old workhorse” Lydia a threat, of course. Lydia gets a disgustingly smug look on her face at that.

Next up, Michelle!

Michelle Previous: 81.1kg
Michelle Current: 77.7kg
Michelle Loss: 3.4kg
Michelle Percentage: 4.19%

HOORAY! Michelle is stoked when the number comes up. She’d been hoping just to make it to the 79s. She doesn’t remember ever weighing in her 70s, it’s all new for her.
And it was really good to have Hamish back this week. N’awwwww!
Was sad to see him leave but they had a nice chat beforehand this time and she handled it all a little better.

“So would you say he’s your boyfriend?” “Ummm…. yeah.” Lots of giggling from the girls. And me!

Graham Previous: 155.9kg
Graham Current: 152.2kg
Graham Loss: 3.7kg
Graham Percentage: 2.37%

Kasey Previous: 97kg
Kasey Current: 94.6kg
Kasey Loss: 2.4kg
Kasey Percentage: 2.47%

White girls on top of the leaderboard!

Alex Previous: 115.2kg
Alex Current: 111.1kg
Alex Loss: 4.1kg
Alex Percentage: 3.56%

Second place. Steve has a grin on his face at that result from Alex.

All those weighed in so far are safe from the elimination as none put on weight. Hurrah!

Bek’s first to start the “proper” weigh in.

Bek Previous: 97.2kg
Bek Current: 92.3kg
Bek Loss: 4.9kg
Bek Percentage: 5.04%

Wow, first place for Bek. Doesn’t really count since she had time away, but still a good loss!
She’s really excited. Says she feels taller and stronger and happier and healthier.
She doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone but herself. Shannan says she’s not a princess and she’s proven that in the week and a bit he’s been training her. He thought she was a princess when she left but he’s not shy about admitting he was wrong, she’s a real workhorse in training.
Bek’s not sure the number will be good enough but she’s not fussed. It’s a great result either way and she knows she can do it on the outside now, so it’s all good.

Next up is Simon, the only man of the group. He should get a good number… But he’s very nervous.

Simon Previous: 127.9kg
Simon Current: 122.9kg
Simon Loss: 5kg
Simon Percentage: 3.91%

Third place overall, second among the returnees. He’s happy with the result and it was nice spending more time with Lisa this week. There’s definitely something between them. He’s looking forward to getting out of there, whenever that might be, so they can date like real people!

Next, Lisa. She needs at least 3.3kg to beat Simon and stay in the hunt for one of the guaranteed spot. She knows she’s worked hard but the scales aren’t her friend…

Lisa Previous: 82.9kg
Lisa Current: 80.1kg
Lisa Loss: 2.8kg
Lisa Percentage: 3.38%

Fifth overall, third among the returnees and thus first to be facing the elimination. She’s a little upset she didn’t quite get under the 80 mark and only lost 2.8 overall. Shannan says she should still be proud, she’s been a powerhouse and he feels a little disappointed because he knows that number doesn’t fairly reflect the work she’s put in.

Brenda’s next and will need at least 5kg to beat Bek and grab a guaranteed spot back in.

Brenda Previous: 97.7kg
Brenda Current: 90.9kg
Brenda Loss: 6.8kg
Brenda Percentage: 6.96%

First place! Guaranteed a spot back into the competition. Simon’s now below the line too.
Everyone is surprised and very obviously stoked for Brenda to get such a huge number. She wasn’t expecting such a huge result and says she feels a little like she might be a threat now. Everyone has a giggle. Mish is so happy for Brenda. Mish was devastated when she left and is so proud she managed to keep up the work on the outside.

Last to weigh in is Lydia. To beat Bek and grab a spot she needs at least 5.1kg.

Lydia Previous: 100.6kg
Lydia Current: 95.5kg
Lydia Loss: 5.1kg
Lydia Percentage: 5.07%

Meaning she’s officially back into the game. By the smallest of margins possible, but she is back in! Bek doesn’t seem upset by the news either.
Lydia’s excited. The best bit is being under 100kg. And hasn’t been under that in probably 20 years. She thinks if she can deal with the hurdles ahead she can win the title.

Brenda and Lydia, two Red girls, are now guaranteed a spot back in the game.
Now, will White be smart and extend an olive branch to Bek and try to get her back into the game or will they foolishly try and bring back a Red (Lisa) or a Black (Simon).

Or will the votes not even matter because Red now have the numbers via Margie, Lydia and Brenda?

As everyone files into the Elimination/Salvation room it seems Brenda and Lydia do get a vote, meaning they’ve got the most votes for their team. Three. And they all like Lisa…

Anyway, voting tonight works a bit differently. The person who receives the most votes gets back into the game, rather than being sent home.

Bek’s hoping she gets back into the game because of the person she is, the positive energy she brings and the fact she just wants to make the most of her opportunity. No better place to lose weight, etc.
Margie says the house needs some positivity as that sometimes falls away due to the nature of the game. But at the same time there’s Lisa, a teammate, she could vote to bring back. If she had her way both Lisa and Bek would be back.

Lisa says she was only home for a short while and it’s tough out there, this is the best place for her, she knows that. Lisa thinks the only person she can count on is Lydia, who will always have her back. Not a knock on Margie, she knows Margie’s in a tough spot and it sounds like Lisa wouldn’t hold it against her if she chose to bring Bek back instead.

Simon wants to get back in, too. But it’s pretty unlikely they’d bring a man back into the game. That’d be the stupidest decision ever.
Simon promised his boys he wouldn’t fail them and this is the best place to lose weight. And his only hope is the old Black alliance will pull him through. Given they control just two votes versus five…

Writing a name down on the piece of paper tonight means you want them back in the game, rather than out. Time to vote!

Hayley’s not saying what happens in the event of a tied vote which is strange, since it’s a possibility with three contestants to vote for…

Lydia’s first to vote. She’s voting strategically. But also selfishly, because she wants Lisa back in the game.
Lisa has 1 vote!

Alex is next up. WIGGLE TONGUE AND JAW. Has to look after himself now. Simon’s a big threat, Lisa’s a big threat, so his vote is going to BEK?!
Wow. Would’ve thought the Black Alliance would hold up.

Brenda says the person she’s voting to bring back is someone who’s helped her to get into the right headspace for this competition over the past week.
She’s also voting to bring back Bek!

Bek’s now on 2 to Lisa’s 1. Poor old Simon’s not getting any love!

Margie. Margie says the two she was choosing between bring a lot to her time in the house. She’s voting both strategically and with her heart and she’d like this person’s journey to continue because they need it.

Her vote is for an ad break! So probably Bek since they’re running out of time?

After the ad break Margie says she’s voting for… Lisa!

So it’s two a piece for the girls. Simon’s still in the running with three votes unrevealed!

Michelle says there’s two people at the other end of the table she considers big threats. One has the ability to lose big numbers, one has the ability to win challenges and contests. So she’s voting for Bek!

Three for Bek. One more vote for Bek and she’s back in the game! Yay!

Kasey’s up next. Kasey says much the same as Michelle. One can lose big weight, one can win challenges. So she’s also voting for Bek!

No need to see Graham’s vote, Bek’s back in the game. She’s excited to have another chance at being a contestant. Lisa looks a bit sad. Awww. Don’t make alliances with arseholes!

Bek says she would like to think people voted her back in because she’s awesome and they all want her back in the house. That’s probably not it but she’s running with it!
She then admits it’s just because she’s not a threat, at all, and that’s why she gets back in. Simon and Lisa are both having a laugh.

Lisa knows she’s on par, fitness-wise, with Lydia and Margie and that’s why they see her as a threat. Plus her friendship with Lydia and they push each other in training.
Lisa’s goal weight is 60kg, she may not quite get there by Finale but she will get there eventually.
Lisa was hoping just to survive the first week but she’s lost heaps of weight and met a wonderful friend in Simon.

Simon’s surprised he came in and lost so much weight and met a wonderful lady too.

Lisa and Simon you’re both back out of the house again. Say byebye again and get out!

Five contestants have now become eight again. Time to get back to work!

Tomorrow night, HIGH DRAMA! House, gym and pool, drama all round.
Then it’s time for the returnees to pick their trainers. And it looks like Brenda’s going to stick with Shannan, yay! Lydia’s going back to Mish, no surprise there.
Will Bek go back to Tiff or stick with Shannan?

Margie’s not exactly thrilled to have Lydia back. She says Lydia would sell her soul for that number one spot…

And coming soon, SNOW! Adventure! Adrenaline! Face your fears week is coming and it’s in the Swiss Alps, not New Zealand.

And it looks like someone’s going to have a dramatic bike crash in the woods. Sounds like Alex but… we’ll see.
