TBL 7×49 – Eliminated contestants are revealed… to actually be martians.
Previously on The Biggest Loser Lydia was finally Eliminated.
But it didn’t last long as Shannan grabs her on the way out of Camp to put her in with the Eliminated Contestants.
Tonight the remaining contestants find out the Eliminated Contestants are coming back. “Game on!” says Brenda. Really wish she’d said, “Game on, moles!”
Can’t have everything, it seems.
Tonight the remaining contestants will also be working out inside the house again and at some point there’ll be a weigh in where Selena will drop some kind of bombshell that everyone is expecting to be her leaving Camp before competing for a spot.
But it could just be her wishing everyone good luck. You never know.
As the episode picks up Mish, Steve and Tiff are sitting in Loser Lounge waiting for everyone to come out. Mish says that’s probably the worst weigh in she’s ever seen. Tiff agrees and Steve tells that it’s a slap in the face to the trainers to see results like that.
They’re all keen to see whether Michelle or Lydia gets sent home. Mish is pretty sure it’ll be Lydia but Tiff’s still a little worried.
Then the contestants come back in and Tiff gives Michelle a big, relieved hug. Michelle apologises to Mish.
Mish says she expected that result. She’s upset, but not surprised. Margie’s still in shock. But she says it’s all good.
Graham says that it was the hardest one he’s been through. He’s been up for elimination three times and Lydia’s had his back through them and he has a soft spot for Lydia, too. He has to tell everyone this again. God knows why.
Graham confides in us that Lydia has everything he wants in a woman. She has a good laugh, good cook, loves being outdoors. Nothing about her personality? You know that’s the important bit, right? Sheesh.
Graham says he couldn’t vote Lydia out.
Mish then says to them that they’ve never had two people put on weight before, not in the entire time she’s been on the show, which is essentially since Day One, Season One! She tells them they’ve dropped the ball and this is what’s happened before in their past. Can’t lose weight, bugger it, gunna eat. Mish is worried that it might happen to them when they get sent home.
Steve then asks them what would happen, hypothetically, if the eliminated contestants walked back in now? Margie says they’d be pissed off, but also scared. Some of those guys really want to be there. Some of them have been slogging it out at home now and realise how much better it is at Camp.
Mish says they’d be coming in all guns blazing. Bang bang, fingerpistols!
Speaking of the eliminated contestants… Lisa’s curled up in Simon’s arms and chatting with Brenda and Shane in some little lounge room at Q Station. They’re wondering what they might have to do to get back into the house. Super challenge, eliminations, weigh ins? Who knows.
Shannan then comes into the room, after knocking politely. Says he’s brought reinforcements.
Lydia! Lisa squeals and runs across the room and they give each other a big hug.
Brenda seems less thrilled. She tells us she knew she’d have to face Lydia and Margie sooner or later.
Brenda says the fact that she wears mascara every day intimidates Lydia because Lydia’s never cared enough to do that sort of thing. Women like her don’t like women like Brenda.
And men like me think WOMEN ARE FUCKING BATSHIT CRAZY. Seriously. All of you. Batshit. Who gets worked up over mascara?! WOMEN.
Okay and probably the emo boys, too.
Anyway. They’re discussing the chance to get back into Camp and Lydia says they’re not going to take it very well at all. And she’s stoked because she might not even lose any time and get right back into Camp.
Meanwhile the remaining contestants are working out together in the big gym, trying to smash out some early morning calories.
Then Hayley shows up and says she has something to show them.
Down, into the tunnels. Alex says he’s been living there for two months and had no idea any of this existed. Really? Come on, who doesn’t explore a place like that!
They finally arrive at The Bunker with all the laptops and tv screens set up. Hayley welcomes them to The Bunker and starts explaining the hidden camera stuff.
From Day One they’ve been watched, by their trainers at various times. Cameras are everywhere!
Margie says she’s started to sweat.
And one other person has also known about the cameras – Lydia! And the contestants all realise that that must have been The Secret and Hayley confirms it.
Want to see what’s happening live in the house?
Then we see people in white hoodies quickstepping into the kitchen and the gym and various other places around Camp.
THEY’RE WEARING HOODIES THEY MUST BE DANGEROUS.
Wait, this was filmed a month or two ago. Never mind.
The contestants are all wondering who’s wandering around in Camp.
Brenda’s the first to reveal herself. “Game on!” Shane’s whistling. Margie’s sweating more.
Kasey really doesn’t want to see Bek back. She’s worried about the way they turfed her out and how she might have handled it.
Then Hamish takes his hoodie off and says hello to Michelle. And that he loves her. AWWWWWWWW!
And last but not least… SHANNAN! He does some shadowboxing in the entryway and then says he’s been training them. Hayley says he’s been training them for the past week in a boot camp setting. They’ve been primed for coming back to compete.
Want to say hello to them all? Sure! This won’t be awkward at all.
Steely looks on the faces of the Eliminated Contestants in Loser Lounge.
Margie says they’re back in the house? Hope they’re going to play by the rules.
Simon chortles to us and says she doesn’t play by the rules anyway.
Back in Loser Lounge the staredown breaks with Lisa exclaiming, “WHATEVER!” As she skips across to give Margie a hug. Awwww!
Michelle and Hamish have a big hug with some kissing. Ooooooh!
Graham tells us he’s never been in love but he’s starting to know what it feels like because it’s what he feels for Lydia. I guess Lydia’s his white picket fence now? Going to be mentioned every five minutes? Blerg.
He’s not sure how to show that he digs her which is why he gets embarassed and shy around her. Awwwwwww.
Bek and Selena are having a chat to Kasey. Bek’s saying it’s good on the outside because you have your friends and family and support. Bek says it’s been great. And Boot Camp was loads of fun, too. No fighting or bickering, everyone was just having a good time and working out hard.
Bek tells us seeing the contestants was… interesting. They were a little uncomfortable.
Later the remaining contestants are chatting about it in Loser Lounge and they’re all pretty riled up. Margie says they’re going to try and work out a strategy for how they’re going to play the game now.
They’re the top five, they deserve to be there, not the interlopers. They didn’t get eliminated!
Margie’s suggesting a campaign of disinformation. If they ask how many calories they’ve burned, give the wrong information, don’t let them get fired up to compete with their calorie counts and stuff.
Hamish has bought Michelle a GIFT! Because he’s missed her so much. Awww!
Michelle is chuffed because no guy has bought her gifts before. He’s the first one to buy her flowers and now he’s bought her… ooh, a pretty shiny butterfly pendant necklace thingy. She loves it. He says it represents her transformation. Awww! Mushy love stuff!
Michelle tells Hamish the gameplay has gotten pretty full on and the returning contestants are in for a surprise with the training they do now. Pretty intense stuff.
Michelle says to Hamish that she wants him to stay. Pinky swear. Aww!
Margie says the thought of one of the returnees taking one of their spots makes her blood boil. They’ve got to make sure Michelle’s on the same page with them.
Now it’s time for a weigh in. All the eliminated contestants are in the room, with Shannan, and the remaining contestants are on their lonesome.
Time to bring in the other trainers!
Tiff and Mish enter first with big grins on their faces when they see who else is in the room. Tiff jogs over to give Bek a big hug and tells us she thinks Bek looks amazing.
No kind words or excited hug for Selena who looks like crap in comparison!
Mish reminds us that Emma returned to the show last year and went on to win the whole thing. So the final five had better pick up their game.
Hayley tells them it’s their job to fight for one of the five weigh in passes. They have to win one at one of the upcoming tasks and challenges. No pass, no way back in.
Final Five get Immunity for the week. A free pass into next week. So the next weigh in will be all about the eliminated contestants.
Lisa reckons she’s got the remaining contestants weaknesses pegged. Says Michelle crumbles when things get tough, Kasey doesn’t believe in herself, Graham thinks he’s working his hardest but he’s not and Alex, once you mess with his head he falls apart.
Margie’s the toughest but she reckons she can mess with Margie’s head as well. Evil!
Now it’s time to find out how much the eliminated contestants have lost since Day One.
Lisa Start: 104.2kg
Lisa Current: 82.9kg
Lisa Loss: 21.3kg
Lisa says it’s been great to get home and see her boys and clear some things up and come back ready to fight!
Hamish Start: 148.7kg

Hamish says life on the outside has been awesome. And his Dad told him he loves him for the first time before Hamish headed off for this second chance. AWWWW!
He’s come a long way, hasn’t even cried this week, Shannan says. It’s all been sweat, no more sooking!
Simon Start: 164.3kg
Simon Current: 127.9kg
Simon Loss: 36.4kg

Bek Loss: 29.1kg
She’s very focused on getting into the house but much more so on getting to where she wants to be in her life.
Kasey’s laughing to us, saying every time Bek gets on the scales it’s like she’s competing for Miss USA. Ohh, world peace!
Ryan Start: 241kg

Ryan Loss: 44.2kg
Lydia Start: 141.9kg
Lydia Current: 100.6kg

Shane Loss: 23.1kg
Brenda Start: 120.8kg

Brenda Loss: 23.1kg
Selena’s last of all. No bombshell yet?
Selena Start: 163.5kg
Selena Current: 131.2kg
Selena Loss: 32.3kg
Selena’s family was thrilled to have her back and they’re all eating more healthily now. Her little sister even tried cucumber for the first time!
Selena hops off the scales and as she’s doing so she tells us she knew something wasn’t right.
Perhaps it’s that her weight on leaving was 131.9kg and she’s only lost 700 grams in the weeks since? Hmm.
Selena asks if she can speak for a moment before Hayley continues with the show. Selena’s made a decision and she won’t be competing for a spot back in the competition. She’s happy on the outside, even though she hasn’t lost that much. She has a trainer and her family and she’s happy! She doesn’t think it’s fair to take away the opportunity to get back into the house from someone else.
YOU DON’T NEED TO WORRY. YOU WON’T BEAT ANYONE.
*cough*
She doesn’t want people to be disappointed in her decision, just respect her decision, she’s happy. Tiff immediately says she wishes Selena would stay, there’s so much more she can learn from the people at Camp and one week isn’t very long.
Hayley then spells it out clearly – if you leave now there won’t be any more chances. No further opportunities to get back into the game. Selena says she knows, she’s happy on the outside and she’s determined she’ll get where she wants to go. Hayley asks her if she wants to take a chance on being even happier? NOPE!
Hayley says she hopes Selena can do it on the outside but now it’s time to go home. Say goodbye and good luck to you.
You’re going to need it if you can only lose 700 grams in four weeks on the outside. Possibly one of the stupidest decisions in Biggest Loser history. She’s going to be fat forever.
But oh well! That leaves fewer of them fighting for the chance to get back into the game. First opportunity to do so will be tomorrow at The Contest, Hayley informs them.
First training session of the week for the remaining contestants. Margie’s come down sick, unfortunately. But the rest of them are going to train their arses off.
The eliminated contestants are back trying to take their spots. Kasey says they’re not having them.
Kasey’s working hard today, even urging Alex on to greater efforts.
Shannan’s got his peeps up in the outside gym while the remaining contestants are off training on the paradeground.
He has pictures of the remaining contestants up on the wall to fire them all up. It’s working for Bek in particular. She says this is about doing the best she can do but it’d still be nice to get a step up on them because they were her undoing.
Shannan says Bek got knifed on the way out and now she’s got a point to prove. And it looks like Bek’s pretty determined to prove it!
Kasey’s workout is impressing even Mish, today. She’s even outdoing the boys in the weightlifting section of the workout, with the same weight as them.
Shannan’s getting them fired up. Or trying to. Most of them look pretty fired up. Ryan’s his usual lazy self on the rowing machine. A really half arsed effort, even by his standards.
They’re all ready to get back in. Lydia in particular says she’s ready to get back in. Shannan says she put on weight last week and Lydia fires back, “So what?” She’s not going to let anything get in her way.
Lisa has a clear mind, she’s focused, she’s going back in.
Time for The Contest! Back inside the shed again. The remaining contestants also get to come in and watch their competition.
Two of the weigh in passes are up for grabs at The Contest. And the events in The Contest are among the favourites from past weeks.
Lisa’s not sure she’ll get a pass if it’s strength based but if it’s speed or agility or endurance she’s in with a shot.
The first round of The Contest is Yellow Line related. It’s a piece of yellow tape strung between two poles and the contestants will have to hold a 2.5kg weight out at arm’s length and shoulder height. Break the yellow tape, you’re out. Bend your arms or change your grip, you’re out. First four contestants to break the tape are out. Remaining four are through to the final round.
Shane’s confident. He won the last “hold a heavy thing over the tape” Contest and whistled a jaunty tune while doing so.
Lisa’s actually won the last two Contests so she’s quietly confident as well.
And so begins the weighting game!
I mean waiting! That!
The room is very quiet. None of the remaining contestants are offering any words of support.
Shane’s arm is dipping down to the tape first. He’s been carrying an injury he hasn’t let on to the other people about. His shoulder’s a bit bung and it’s agony to hold it out straight like that for too long.
And Shane’s the first out! Everyone’s shocked. But Shane admits to us that he essentially threw the competition in order to preserve his body for later competitions.
Next out is, unsurprisingly, Ryan. He lost the mental battle once again.
Nobody’s surprised Ryan is out so soon. They all know he’s strong in body but his mind is letting him down every time.
Brenda’s struggling a lot and her arms are resting on the tape and eventually she has to give it up.
Only one to go. Hamish is struggling and Lisa thinks she can probably outlast him.
And it turns out she can! As Hamish finally gives in and breaks the tape too. Michelle is sad because she really wants him to get back in!
Bek’s thrilled because that means she’s through to the next round.
Final round! And it’s a test of speed. 10km bike race. First two to get to 10km will receive a weigh in pass.
And the Black Team will be calling out their progress, since the trainers aren’t there today.
Everyone knows Lisa will be the strongest competition here. She came in first in the marathon for the bike leg. The spinbike is her friend, she declares.
Lydia’s going very hard too though. And Simon hits the 1km mark just behind Lisa, followed by Lydia and followed by Bek.
Bek’s jiggling around too much in her seat and Lydia’s swaying back and forth. Both wasting valuable energy while Lisa and Simon sit calmly and power on.
Kasey recalls Bek’s bike tantrum back in week one. Her chance to get back into the game now relies on the bike and Kasey thinks that’s funny.
Lisa hits 3km first, followed by Simon, Lydia and Bek. No change in places.
Lydia’s hoping to catch up to Lisa or Simon if they’ve gone out too hard but they’re both still going thus far.
Michelle’s actually encouraging Lisa to go harder and for longer and so on. Interesting.
Lisa hits 5km ahead of Simon. Who is ahead of Lydia. Who is ahead of Bek, of course.
This is pretty boring so far.
Until they hit 6km, where Simon has narrowed the gap between himself and Lisa.
And then 7km hits and Simon’s ahead of Lisa with Lydia still trailing behind.
They maintain their places to the 8km mark. Simon’s throwing everything into it, he says. Sweat is pouring off him while Alex is urging him on to more effort.
Lydia’s making an effort to catch up to Lisa in the final kilometre while Hayley calls encouragement to all three. Bek’s obviously out of the running at this point.
Alex is joggling on the spot urging Simon on and Simon says that made the final kilometre much more fun.
Simon finally finishes the 10km in first place and he’s stoked. Couple hundred metres ahead of Lisa, he says. He apologises.
Lydia’s cycling like a lunatic while Lisa continues to power on the same as she has the whole way.
And Lisa finally gets to the 10km mark. So Simon and Lisa both get the weigh in passes. Hooray!
They’re both very happy to have their pass but know they’ve got to train hard to guarantee themselves a spot back in camp.
Tomorrow night the remaining contestants are going to be set the challenge to outdo the winning times of the returning contestants on the spinbikes in one of the gyms with Lisa and Simon’s fat cardboard cutouts staring them down.
And in the outside gym Hamish is having another breakdown.
And then another contest-y looking thing with true or false answers required to various questions. Wrong answers look to result in an increase in speed of the treadmills they’re all on. Gonna be a lot more sweat flying around in that challenge!
