TBL 7×43 – Super Sunday Smackdown? Swell!
Previously on The Biggest Loser… Michelle nommed ALL the chocolate cake, winning Immunity for herself and Kasey.
Lisa lost at the weekly challenge and has a 1kg penalty at tonight’s weigh in.
Tonight, Last Chance Training, weigh in, elimination and a catch up with evicted contestant Luke. Has he got his act together on the outside or will it be back to old habits?
Since Shannan’s bothering to catch up with him I’m going to guess he’s doing okay on the outside…
Lisa and Mish are right into Last Chance Training as the episode starts. They’re still in one on one training and Mish says having it like that is intense. They get flogged pretty hard in normal circumstances!
Lisa says the last week had been going well for her. She’d got Mish all to herself but then things fell apart at the Challenge and she has the 1kg penalty.
Margie says it’s heartbreaking, Lisa having the penalty and Lydia thinks she’ll struggle without Lisa in the house. Awww!
Mish doesn’t want to lose Lisa after this past week. She’s lifting weights for Mish and Mish suggests she thinks of them as tires, which gets a groan from Lisa.
Mish says Lisa’s bringing the fight right to the end of the game. And Lisa thinks the 1kg penalty will bring out the fight in her even more. They’re not going to beat her.
Lisa says she may have come last but she finished the job and Mish tells her that’s why she still needs to be there, to finish the job.
Lisa says the emotional rollercoaster has been taking her toll. Mish says Simon getting sent home took a bit of the fire away from Lisa but the rest of it is still there, waiting to come back to life.
Kasey and Michelle are walking laps in the pool! While talking about them now having some power in the game. The Red Team’s been dominating the game, Kasey says. They win contests and challenges so having immunity is a very good thing for them.
Steve’s mission today is to make Graham feel like a winner and he thinks he’s got the recipe for just that.
Quick circuit in Last Chance Training for the Black boys. Spinbike, sumo deadlifts, then a rope pull. And it’s all being timed so it’s got to be done quick!
Graham gets his done in 3 minutes 42 seconds. Will that be enough that Alex can’t beat him, Steve asks?
Nope. Alex wins round one. 3 minutes 36 seconds. Steve says Alex is 50 years old, fourteen years older than Graham. What’s going on?
Steve wants Graham to sink his teeth into the challenge and prove he’s strong. Does he mean business? YES!
Graham’s asked if he’s going to be standing on the scales and wondering why he hasn’t dropped a big number this week and Graham says no, because he’s going to do a big number this week!
We’ll see…
After Graham finishes his second round Steve tosses the stopwatch on the ground and tells Graham to read it out loud. 3 minutes!
Alex, do you want to be here next week? YEAH! Yeah!
Round two for Alex? 3 minutes and 2 seconds!
One round each.
So who’s going to take out the next round, Steve asks them? Who’s got what it takes?
Graham’s not letting this get away from him, he’s going as hard as he can. Steve tells him he’s so much stronger than he knows, stronger than he’s been believing for 36 years!
Graham’s third round clocks in at 2 minutes 51 seconds! “SHIT!” Says Alex.
Graham says the fire’s back in his heart, that’s what that time means to him.
Steve tells us it’s great seeing the two of them getting fired up and bringing everything to training today.
Alex isn’t giving up without a fight. Can he win Biggest Loser, Steve asks him? YES!
Alex has to have a rest during the sumo deadlifts but Steve urges him on and he gets back to it. Then finishes up his rope pulls.
Final time? Steve grabs a wrist from each of them and announces the winner, boxing style. Victor, two rounds to one… Graham!
Alex got pipped by 2 seconds in the final round. Nothing to be ashamed of there, he’s done well!
Now… SHANNAN IN HIS BLUE CAR AGAIN YAY!
He’s off to check in on Luke. Luke was one of the toughest, most focused contestants he’d ever trained at Camp Biggest Loser and was quite the role model. But halfway through the competition he got drunk at Camp so he had to leave the Competition.
Shannan’s said he’ll be judging Luke again on his actions between his eviction and finale.
Shannan turns up to Luke’s house and… whoa, the dude has lost stacks of weight! Barely looks the same guy.
Shannan says he could barely believe how small Luke had gotten and tells Luke he’s lost four chins!
Shannan also meets up with Luke’s Dad who’s also been getting into the training. He’s lost 11.5kg himself. Shannan’s very impressed.
Luke’s had a very positive influence on his Dad and many of the other people around him. And his Dad is so proud of him. Awww!
And Luke hasn’t touched a drop of alcohol since leaving the house, he tells Shannan. Luke reminds us he used to go out and spend $500 on grog but not anymore.
Shannan says the most telling difference is in Luke’s eyes which have never looked so clear before. Luke tells Shannan that he’s looked at previous photos and the smile he’d have in those pictures is nowhere close to the smile he’s got all the time now.
Luke remembers being big but thinking he wasn’t THAT big but now he looks back on that time and he’s so disgusted. There’s still a little way to go but the results speak for themselves.
Shannan says when he first met Luke they had a run around at the oval and Luke couldn’t kick or catch and was out of breath in no time.
Now it’s time for another kick around and the difference is night and day. Luke was blobbing around the field before, now he’s running and getting some air on his jumps to mark the ball and kicking and handballing with ease. Huge difference, even with Shannan’s silly running commentary!
And his Dad is so proud of him now. Awwwwww! Happy ending!
But now, back at Camp, it’s time for the weekly weigh in.
Graham trusts no one. Lydia says there’s really just four people fighting for two spaces as Margie’s got a 1kg advantage and Michelle and Kasey both have Immunity.
Seven contestants remain, Hayley says. They’re the survivors. They’ve survived the twists and turns and gameplaying at Biggest Loser.
So. Must be about time to bring some people back, huh?
First to weigh in this week will be Michelle. She has Immunity but if she adds on any weight she will lose it. So she’s a bit stressed, given the big cake thing she ate.
Michelle Previous: 80.5kg
Michelle Current: 80.2kg
Michelle Loss: 0.3kg
Michelle Percentage: 0.37%
Hoo boy that was close! She’s very relieved she has Immunity now! She’s very surprised as she was hoping for at least 1kg, or at least under the 80kg mark.
Quite a few shocked faces in the peanut gallery. Tiff looks baffled.
Surely she hasn’t waterloaded? Dangerous game she’s playing if she did!
Kasey also has Immunity so she also has to weigh in now.
Kasey usually loses a little less than Michelle, Tiff says, so she’s pretty nervous.
Kasey Previous: 100.1kg
Kasey Current: 97.7kg
Kasey Loss: 2.4kg
Kasey Percentage: 2.4%
First place! Not that it’s too important. She’s just pleased that she’s gotten a loss and is finally under 100kg. And she’s been aiming for under 100kg as that’s the goal she set before riding her horse again.
Her Dad will be pleased, especially, as they always used to go out riding together. And it’s been hard on Kasey, seeing her sisters go out riding when she can’t.
Now, for the section of the weigh in that really matters!
First up, Graham! And he’s very nervous.
Graham Previous: 163.2kg
Graham Current: 157.1kg
Graham Loss: 6.1kg
Graham Percentage: 3.74%
That puts him in first place. Hooray!
Graham’s relieved to see a decent number for once and Steve is even pleased. Says it’s been a tough couple of weeks for them both but it’s good to see him putting in the hard work and now it’s showing on the scales.
Graham’s starting to notice the changes in himself, too. He’s started to wear smaller clothes and has to ask the ladies if they’re too tight on him and Lydia smiles and nods. And Lydia also says that that includes his underpants.
OH REALLY? Hayley raises an eyebrow.
Graham says he’s definitely going to get out there and meet ladies when he gets out. Gotta make up for the eighteen years of lost time! Lydia roars!
Look out Carcour, Hayley asks? Further afield than that, he says. He’s got to? I guess there wouldn’t be too many eligible ladies.
He also gets a kiss on the side of the mouth on his return to the stands. From Lydia. Helloooooo? Interesting. Very interesting. Might we have another romance on our hands?
Anyway, next up, Margie!
Margie Previous: 121kg
Margie Current: 115.2kg
Margie Loss: 5.8kg
Margie after advantage: 6.8kg
Margie Percentage: 5.62%
First place! Margie’s stoked, Mish is gobsmacked. Margie was really nervous leading into it and she still feels a bit bad celebrating her own loss when Lisa’s over there, waiting for her own result with the disadvantage.
It’s a bit bittersweet. And a teammate she adores could end up below the Line. She’s lovely and she’s been through a lot and she trains so hard. And she has to put up with Margie’s inappropriateness every day. Hayley quips back that they all do!
Margie came to Camp Biggest Loser to lose weight so she could go surfing again, mostly. But now she’s been there a while and is getting fitter she’s starting to think there might be someone special out there for her. Awwwwww!
Next… Lisa. DUN DUN DUN!
Lisa Previous: 81.3kg
Lisa Current: 79.8kg
Lisa Loss: 1.5kg
Lisa after penalty: 0.5kg
Lisa Percentage: 0.62%
Oof. She’s in fourth place for the moment. One more person above her will push her into Elimination as Michelle has Immunity and can’t fall any lower.
Lisa’s choosing to look at it on the bright side. She’s in the 70s! Everyone applauds her.
Lisa says it’s okay if she does fall below the Yellow Line as her head is in a much better place now.
How close have the Red Team become, Hayley asks? Really. Really really close. The other girls have been so supportive of her and she doesn’t think she could have gotten through without Red Team.
So not only did she find Simon she found two people who’ll be with her the rest of her life? “I know! Biggest Loser really has changed my life!” Lisa says with a laugh.
Alex and Lydia left to weigh in.
Lydia needs to lose at least 0.6kg to beat Lisa. That’s fairly easy and should happen.
Lydia Previous: 103.3kg
Lydia Current: 100.2kg
Lydia Loss: 3.1kg
Lydia Percentage: 3%
Third place. Lisa is now definitely below the Yellow Line but will it be with Lydia or Alex?
Lydia says it’s a fair result and she hopes it’s enough to keep her safe. But she’s been a threat since Day One and she’s never made a secret of wanting to win so she’s expecting she’ll go home if she does fall below the line.
Alex is last of all. Alex will need to lose at least…? Hayley doesn’t say. It’s got to be a fair bit though.
Alex Previous: 118.3kg
Alex Current: 115.8kg
Alex Loss: 2.5kg
Alex Percentage: 2.11%
He’s below the Line with Lisa. Lydia’s relief is evident right away.
Alex is pretty philosophical about it all, says it’s still a good loss for the week. The men are a dying breed in the competition, but it’s not the end yet. And he still wants to be there, wants to win if he can!
This week’s Biggest Loser is Margie! Gets another kiss and a hug from Mish. And then wants to dedicate the loss this week to her Mum as she’s been thinking about her a lot the last couple of weeks. She’s missing her Mum heaps. Awww!
Now facing Elimination: Alex and Lisa. Will the White Team save Lisa or Alex? Dun dun dun!
There’s five votes in play this week so the smallest loser won’t come into it. Luckily for Lisa!
Lisa says it’s really hard facing Elimination again this week. She thought it was tough voting on Eliminations, it’s just as tough facing them.
And she doesn’t feel safe, even though Alex is definitely the bigger threat. He has more weight to lose and he loses it, she doesn’t. And she’s not there to win the game, just change her life. Alex is there to win the game and good for him, but the strategic choice is Alex.
Alex doesn’t look so convinced. Alex says if he hasn’t given 100% it’s pretty close to it. And he’s happier, not as fatigued and sore anymore, doesn’t bite back like he used to. And he hopes he’s not as arrogant as he used to be. Big changes!
Alex doesn’t think he’s succeeded yet though. He’s started it but he wants to get to the end of it. He always starts things but doesn’t finish them properly and he wants to finish this.
Margie’s devastated Lisa is facing Elimination. Lisa’s no threat, isn’t losing big numbers, hasn’t got much more to lose.
You’re ignoring the fact Red is the only three member team left, Margie. That makes her the biggest threat of all.
She’s hoping Lisa can stay and continue working through some of the stuff in her head and if that means Alex has to go? Then Alex has to go.
Kasey is asked who she thinks is the biggest threat? Alex, definitely, if you look at the numbers, she says. But if you look at power on the voting table then it’s definitely Lisa. Lisa nods at that. Margie’s put her face in her hands.
Margie says they play the game as individuals and a person she wants to stay might be different to how Lydia or Lisa would feel.
DUBIOUSFACE ALL ROUND.
Don’t think anyone at all bought that crap.
But it’s time to cast your votes, guys!
Graham’s first in the queue and it’s a pretty safe bet he won’t vote Alex out… unless the antipathy runs deeper than we’ve seen? Hmmm.
After an ad break Graham says it was a hard decision for him as he’s friends with both people at the other end and Alex has been his inspiration all the way through. He’s a brother, black team motto. But he also has gotten to know Lisa really well. And in the end he’s gone with the black team motto.
And voted out Lisa!
Margie says the person she’s voted for is definitely a threat in the game, they have a lot of weight to lose still and has shown he can be very powerful at challenges and weigh ins. So she’s voted for Alex. Of course.
Now the first swinging voter, Kasey!
She says it’s been really hard for her to make a choice as both are massive threats, regardless of what anyone else says. Alex has more weight to lose, Lisa is former Red Team, team of three, while the other teams are teams of two. So her decision ultimately came down to the elimination table because that’s what’ll keep you in.
So she’s voted for Lisa. Lisa obviously understands the vote, Margie looks irked.
Lydia’s turn to vote. No prizes for guessing who’ll she vote for! Says the person is a bigger threat to her than the other so she’s voted for Alex.
Leaving it down to Michelle’s vote for the decider. Ouch, poor Michelle.
Margie’s looking down the table with sympathy at Lisa. Think Lisa can see it coming too.
Michelle says it’s been difficult for her to decide as well as she’s close to both of them but she’s got to vote strategically and at the end of the day you want to even out the playing field so she’s had to vote for Lisa.
Lisa’s not surprised though she’s obviously a bit upset at having to go home. But honestly Margie and Lydia look a lot more upset about it.
Lisa’s asked why she thinks she was voted out and Lisa says to disrupt the Red Team, but that’s okay, Red Team will come out firing!
Margie mutters that it won’t work. Lisa tells her to settle down. Margie says that it won’t work, they’re already fit and this is just going to add fuel to the fire. They’ve barely scratched the surface!
Margie says it’s not a threat, it’s a promise. Margie says at the end of the day they’re really honest people and Alex interjects with a REALLY? Really? From Day One? Honest? Yeah right!
Alex says in Week Two Margie had said to him that her, Lydia and Alex would go all the way to Finale. Margie denies it. Says she never spoke to him in Week Two.
Margie says she’s allowed to be upset about Lisa leaving and Alex snaps back that she’s lost a teammate, that’s the way the game’s played!
Alex says she doesn’t need to bully everyone and Margie says she’s not bullying anyone, “Old man!” Alex says excuse me, did I call you a name?
Well, technically, you did. You called her a bully. It’s true, but that’s still a name.
Lydia says no offense to anyone at the table but Alex will put Michelle or Kasey out on their bum before Lisa would and they’ve made the wrong choice, she’s afraid.
Yeah, no. Red Team has explicitly stated the goal of wiping the White Team out next so don’t bring that bullshit out, Lydia. We know better. Dishonest!
Lisa’s excited to go home and spend some time with her boys again. And then probably go visit Simon. Ooooh!
And it’s been an adventure, on the show. She’s done things she never thought would be possible and experienced so many highs and lows and met some wonderful people. She’s ready to get out there and tackle the real world now.
Time to go home, Lisa. See you at Finale. (If not sooner!)
Tomorrow night Lisa is gone but the battle between Margie and Alex is just beginning.
AND THEN, Shannan’s secret mission is finally revealed. Everyone needs a second chance he says. Welcome to Boot Camp!
Shannan’s getting the eliminated contestants together for a fight to get back into the game after he gets them toughened back up and ready for it.
And then it’s time… FOR MAKEOVER DAY! Hooray!
