TBL 7×38 – First Singles Weigh In, First Singles Elimination. First GRAHAM SMASH!
Previously on The Biggest Loser… Singles time. They were (mostly) already singles but now they’re technically not in teams anymore either.
Temptation saw a bunch of drama with Simon and Margie coming to verbal blows with Margie eventually earning herself Immunity.
Tonight! The weekly challenge concludes with the end of the sort-of-marathon. Margie and Lydia are competing for the 1kg advantage at weigh in after both Simon and Graham collapsed earlier during the event.
Also, Simon and Graham are still down and out after the challenge. Simon looks a bit shellshocked by the whole ordeal.
Then at the weigh in the simmering tension between Steve and Graham finally comes to a head.
NOW KISS!
I mean, now fight! Looks like Steve’s sick of Graham saying he’s proud on the scales when he ain’t done jack and Graham’s tired of being told he ain’t done jack. Should be painfully awkward viewing.
But first, back to the challenge. The winner also gets a phone call home. Like they got about a week ago anyway. Seriously, it doesn’t mean as much if you keep giving them calls home…
Lydia and Margie are neck and neck as the finish line approaches… but Lydia pips Margie at the post, hops off the treadmill and staggers off to lean over one of the spinbikes to suck in some air.
She says it was overwhelming to both finish the race but even more so the winning of the title of Biggest Loser Ultimate Athlete.
Margie came in a close second. Might she have won had she not had the breakdown before the challenge? Probably!
Lydia’s going to call her Dad, see how he’s going. She misses her Mum and Dad every day, she says. Awww!
Trophy time! Gold and shiiiiny.
Lisa rocks up to Simon’s bedroom some time later where he’s recuperating after his dramatic collapse at the challenge.
He feels very drained and tired. Lisa’s gripping his hand and said he feels quite cold. He looks really beat at the moment. But he says he’ll be okay, it’s not a permanent thing he just can’t do anything else today.
Lisa asks if that means she has to make him dinner and he musters up enough energy to have a laugh with her, which is a good sign!
Lisa tells us the two have gotten very close. As if we didn’t know that already. She says she’d hate for anything to happen to him. She’s relieved to see he’s okay.
Lydia’s call to her Dad is just a phone call, not a video chat this time.
Lydia’s chat to her Dad is… weird. I think they’ve recut a bunch of what was said to fit together but they’ve done a shitty job of it.
Last Chance Training for Steve and his team. Simon collapsed yesterday, Alex has a 2kg penalty going into the weigh in and Graham’s not working out because he has a headache.
Steve’s pretty annoyed!
But he has Simon and Alex working out on the paradeground. Simon says he feels lethargic and has a bit of a headache still but he knows he has to step it up a notch if he wants to stay there and that means turning up to training sessions even if he physically doesn’t feel up to being there.
Seems Simon’s had enough of Graham’s slacking off, too.
Steve’s working Simon over pretty hard, sweat pouring off him. With the dehydration he had yesterday this might result in a good number for Simon… Or a really bad one as he’s had to put so much more water back in!
Steve says to us that if Simon can be there for training, why can’t Graham? Time to go find out what’s going on!
Graham says he’s got a massive headache, it’s killing him. So is he ready to go home? No. Alex says he’s heading that way if he won’t get up and train. No excuses, remember?
Alex says Graham only trusts him in the house and Alex is trying to push him in the right direction…
Steve asks Graham again how many times he’s been in the Elimination chair. Three times! And today’s the last chance to train.
Graham tells us what Steve thinks of him means everything to him and he’s disappointed he might have let Steve down.
Steve’s telling him he hopes Graham has lost enough weight to get above the Yellow Line already.
That seems unlikely!
Mish has her team doing Last Chance Training, her favourite session of the week because it’s just go, go, go!
Margie has Immunity, Lydia has a 1kg advantage… Lisa got nuthin’!
So she’s focusing lots of Lisa today, working her out hard. Then Lisa talks about her working through her dead son issues this week and a lot of growth in general since coming to Camp.
The end of the session the three girls are all running on the treadmills and they all look completely knackered afterwards. And that’s how you do Last Chance Training, Mish announces!
Time for them to file into the weigh in room. They all fit on one side of the room now.
This will be their first weigh in as singles, Hayley reminds them. Their results depend entirely on their performance, no team mates to save them.
Two spots below the Yellow Line, as usual, but now that will be two individuals and the remainder will share the voting.
Now, to recap all the other things!
Alex has a 2kg weight penalty for refusing to be shackled to Graham for the rest of the week.
Margie has Immunity, unless she has put on weight.
Lydia won the challenge and a 1kg weight advantage.
Time to see if any of that matters!
Margie’s up first as she has Immunity.
Margie Previous: 121.8kg
Margie Current: 121kg
Margie Loss: 0.8kg
Margie Percentage: 0.66%
She’s very lucky she has Immunity. Or she cut it a bit too close on the waterloading. I wouldn’t count out either option, personally.
Margie says she had a couple of flat days this week, didn’t train as good as she could have. But she’s glad she’s had a bad week as that will let her refocus and train harder next week.
Michelle Previous: 85.8kg
Michelle Current: 80.5kg
Michelle Loss: 5.3kg
Michelle Percentage: 6.18%
Oof! Great result. That’s Biggest Loser of the Week territory!
She’d been aiming for the 70s but that’s close enough for her.
Her parents would be so proud, Hayley says. And Tiff says “OH EM GEE” at her when she gets back. KIDS THESE DAYS!
Lydia Previous: 106.6kg
Lydia Current: 103.3kg
Lydia Loss: 3.3kg
Lydia after advantage: 4.3kg
Lydia Percentage: 4.03%
Kasey’s very anxious, hoping to be under 100kg this week.
Kasey Previous: 104.2kg
Kasey Current: 100.1kg
Kasey Loss: 4.1kg
Kasey Percentage: 3.93%
Third place. The counter actually paused for a long time on 99.9kg and then ticked up to 100.1kg, to a groan and a laugh from all the contestants.
This now makes Michelle safe, along with Margie.
Alex has a 2kg penalty, so he’s very worried and didn’t sleep much.
Alex Previous: 123.3kg
Alex Current: 118.3kg
Alex Loss: 5kg
Alex after penalty: 3kg
Alex Percentage: 2.43%
Fourth place, meaning he’s not safe. But Lydia is now!
Simon’s been set a target of 6.5kg by Steve but Simon himself has set himself the target of 9kg and not told Commando.
Who’ll be closer to the mark?
Simon Previous: 128.9kg
Simon Current: 127.2kg
Simon Loss: 1.7kg
Simon Percentage: 1.32%
Fifth place. Only Margie below him and she can’t go any lower.
Simon’s not at all happy with that result. He’s pushed himself very hard this week so he’s not sure what happened.
Can’t deny the guy has worked hard this week after collapsing at a challenge! That collapse may have cost him more than he thought…
Graham needs to have lost at least 2.3kg to beat Simon. For the heaviest guy in the competition that should be very easy. He should easily double that, even.
Graham Previous: 166.9kg
Graham Current: 163.2kg
Graham Loss: 3.7kg
Graham Percentage: 2.22%
Fifth place, above the Yellow Line… for now.
Simon is now definitely below the Line. Not good news for the Lisa/Simon relationship.
Graham says it’s a loss, so he’s happy, but his goal was 8.5kg. But he says he’s pushed himself to his limits and he’s proud of what he’s achieved this past week.
Steve asks him if he’s really proud, honestly? Graham says he’s not proud of the number on the scales. The number is the only thing you’ve got to be proud of, argh!
Steve says he took Graham home to fire him up, did it work? Graham says no.
How’s he feeling, Steve asks? He doesn’t want to put words in Graham’s mouth.
Graham says Steve knows how he’s feeling. Hayley says the rest of them don’t. Graham’s insisting on keeping quiet.
Hayley says he’s obviously upset, what’s going on? Graham is upset for standing there and what he’s achieved this week for himself in front of his trainer… and his trainer is making him feel like shit.
Has he given 100%? He missed one session because he was sick. But otherwise he’s given everything.
Commando Steve says it’s the first time he’s seen Graham angry! He ought to go out and train now, he’d probably give him the best session of his time at Camp, right?
Graham admits he probably would. Steve asks him where that fire is when it counts? It’s too late now, you’re on the scales now!
Steve tells him if he’s lucky enough to stay another week he should remember that feeling of being on the scales and hopefully he’ll train harder next time.
Graham’s finally allowed off the scales and storms back to the peanut gallery. Steve tries to have a word with him but Graham’s still fuming. Won’t look at him. Uhoh!
After the ad break Steve tells him he’s disappointed, but he believes Graham has what it takes within him. Got it? “Yeah.” Steve seems a little dubious. Graham might be headed for a walkout?
Lisa needs 1.9kg to stay safe from Elimination. It’d suck pretty bad if it was her and Simon below the Line, wouldn’t it? Yikes.
Lisa Previous: 83.1kg
Lisa Current: 81.3kg
Lisa Loss: 1.8kg
Lisa Percentage: 2.17%
That now puts her below the Line with Simon. Ouch. So very ouch.
Worst case scenario, being under there with Simon? Yeah, but also rough being under the Line in general.
Mish loves her to bits. Lots more work to be done though. She wants her back next week!
She has a chance to look at her future differently but also look at her past differently. Which she’s started to do. She’s realised she needs to talk about her son Braden a lot more. And talk to her boys about him in a different way than they have before.
Mish says there’s not many women who can go through what Lisa’s gone through. She’s tough but she’s also really… Mish can’t finish as she’s in tears too. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww, big softie!
Lisa feels like a different person to the one who came in, willing to put herself out there a lot more.
Now, off the scales and go give Mish a hug, she needs it. Awwwwww!
And after another ad break we’re straight into the Elimination Room. Now it’s Singles there’s no need to make any decisions about who to put up.
Hayley says it’s no secret Lisa and Simon have formed “a very special bond” on the show. How much does Lisa want to stay versus how much she wants Simon to stay.
Lisa says she’s ready to go home. Margie and Lydia both look at each other and shake their heads slightly. Don’t think they’re going to let her off that easy!
Lisa says she’s dealt a lot more with Braden’s death, talked about it more and so on. She thinks it’s time for her to go home, seriously. She wants to go and deal with some things at home. Simon needs to be there more than her.
Margie says no. They’ve all struggled with things, Margie’s struggled and come to Lisa for help. Margie says Lisa said she had so much more time she could use in the house and Margie thinks this should be about her and for her entire life as a Mum she’s put others first and her boys will understand, they’ll be okay.
Lydia says Lisa can’t ask her to do that!
Simon’s turn. He’s not happy for Lisa to put her hand up, either. He knows she has stuff to work out at home but what better place than with a supportive team around her like she has there? He knows Lisa doesn’t want him to say it but she does need to still be there. Margie has a real look of respect on her face for what Simon’s saying. Possibly the first time she’s looked at anyone with respect. Mish she just looks at with lust all the time. Though I’m never quite sure whether she wants to sex her up or eat her up.
Erm. Anyway.
Time to vote!
Alex is first up. He says it might sound a bit harsh but Black have a pact of sticking together, so his vote goes for Lisa.
Graham’s next. Hard decision for him, he’s friends with both but he’s made that pact…
Lisa’s now got 2 votes.
Lydia! Lydia says she has four parts of her world in there. Mish, Margie, herself and Lisa. And she can’t do it without Lisa. She respects Simon a lot but she has to vote for him.
Margie’s turn. Margie loves Lisa to bits. They’ve been through a lot together. They’ve had some laughs. And she can’t vote for her. So her vote goes to Simon.
Leaving it to the poor White Team to decide their fate!
One more vote will send Simon home as he has the lowest percentage.
Kasey’s in the firing line. She says it’s the hardest decision she’s had to make, they’ve both said they’re prepared to go home, so her vote is… ad break!
After the ad break… surely she’ll vote the bigger threat out. She’d have to be crazy not to…
She repeats it being a hard decision, both want to go home. In the end she’s voting strategically which causes Lisa to give a dramatic eyeroll.
Kasey’s vote goes to… Simon!
Lisa’s in tears. Awwww. Simon seems sad but says he respects everyone’s decision and while Lisa may disagree the right decision was made.
But then he breaks into tears too. Awwww. Hugs? Hugs!
Simon’s going to do it on the outside. 100% guaranteed. And he’s excited to see his boys. He thinks they’ll be proud of him and Lisa says she knows they will.
Lydia says his boys are so lucky to have a Dad like him. Lisa wouldn’t pick a dud bloke. Someone as special as her would have to have someone special to match.
Simon says he’ll miss all of them, even Margie. He’ll miss her being a smartass? He says it’s one of her better qualities.
Simon’s lost over 37kg so far. And he says he’ll be a lot smaller at Finale. And everyone can expect a hug.
Lisa says she wants more than a hug! Saucy lady!
Time to say goodbye, Simon. And they’ll give him some extra time with Lisa. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Simon says proud doesn’t begin to cover how he feels inside after being on the show. And he’s so happy to have met someone special at Camp.
Simon gets Margie to promise she’ll look after Lisa and Margie readily agrees.
4 weeks later… holy crap he’s looking so fit! Lots of baggage around the middle but a fair bit of that is probably that lovely loose skin we always see on the really big lads.
He’s taking his boys on his workouts some of the time as well. And he gets in an evil laugh at getting to work them as hard as the Commando worked him.
Looking back at his audition tape the difference in the face is extraordinary. He was huge back then, now his face just looks like he’s a solidly built fella.
He’s down to 118kg, the after thingy says. And he’s aiming for 100kg by Finale.
They don’t say it but he’s probably also hoping to win some money at Finale to pay for a tummy tuck…
Tomorrow night… the contestants are off to a rock climbing establishment! That always looks like such fun. Even though some of them inevitably end up being too scared and we spend ages listening to them complain. Sigh.
Also, acrobatics! Like in the circus. Like they did on Excess Baggage a couple of weeks ago.
Later in the week Steve and Commando go one on one and Steve’s going to smash Graham out on the rain soaked parade ground. MANBOOBS WILL JIGGLE!
Then, a contest. Blah blah.
And then? AND THEN SHANNAN!!! Shannan might be gone but he’s not forgotten, Mr Voiceover Man says. Shannan’s gone to check up on James’ progress. James left the show very early after accepting a payout after a Temptation and so Shannan’s worried he’ll’ve gone back to his old ways.
Apparently he hasn’t. If Shannan’s words aren’t being taken out of context. Tune in this week to find out?
