TBL 7×33 – Old Dogs vs Young Pups gets settled, finally!

Previously on The Biggest Loser SO MANY THINGS. Old Dogs versus Young Pups is on this week. Lydia knows THE SECRET of The Bunker.

Young Pups lost at the weekly challenge which is leading to an instant weigh in for one of them tonight. Later there’ll be the usual weigh-in and possibly an Elimination.

Busy busy busy this episode!

As the episode picks up again we’re getting some more of Margie talking about being strategic and Michelle thinking maybe Margie threw the challenge. But who really knows?

Time for the Old Dogs to decide who on the Young Pups will have to weigh in immediately. After much discussion they’ve decided Selena will weigh in early.
That… doesn’t seem very strategic. Selena tends to be the lame duck at weigh in time anyway.
She’s nervous, her diet’s been better this week, but she was hoping for a bit more time and some Last Chance Training. But oh well, she’s done her best, she says.

Hayley and Selena head off to Camp immediately for the weigh in and the others head off… who knows where!

Selena gets to the weigh in room and it’s just her and Hayley. But of course Lydia knows The Secret so she’s going to go sit in The Bunker and watch it unfold!
It’s about 48 hours before the others weigh in so Selena’s result here could dictate how the full results turn out.
Selena’s hoping she’s at least lost some weight so she knows she’s still losing weight.
Lydia’s hoping Selena doesn’t lose a massive number, or if she does then at least they’ll know what they’re dealing with.

Of course since it’s part of The Secret Lydia shouldn’t be able to tell anyone… Hmm.

Selena Previous: 135.8kg
Selena Current: ?

It’s a mystery and it won’t be revealed until the official weigh in. Poor girl. Good to have the feedback.

Selena’s a little nervous, hoping she’s done enough.

Once Selena’s left the weigh in room Hayley announces that this is just for Lydia – Selena’s loss is revealed and Lydia says it’s better than she thought. Oooooh!

Selena heads back to her team and reveals she won’t know her weight until the official weigh in. Can tell Margie was hoping to stick the boot in again.

Time for Red/Black Last Chance Training. They’ve got Steve and Mish working them hard today.

Individual circuits today, no breaks in between, just keep following the person in front of you.

Graham gets done with a run and is clutching at his belly and puffing and panting and rivers of sweat are pouring off him. Maybe he’s finally working out hard?

Simon’s been doing it tough this week. Been a bit flat and not on top of his game. He confesses to Steve that the backstabbing and gameplaying and people getting grumpy with each other is doing his head in.
Simon says it’s been tough. Steve says he’s noticed so he’s got something to remind him of why he’s there.

It’s a laptop. With footage of Simon’s first weigh in. When he was 164.3kg. And thus footage of his two sons and talking to them, promising not to fail them.
And Oscar saying he’s done a good job of being a Dad so far. He’s setting a good example now and he’s very proud. Awwwww!
Simon says it means a lot to him, those words of Oscar’s.
Steve tells him to keep putting one foot in front of the other and not forgetting that commitment to his boys.

Tiff’s focusing on Michelle, Kasey and Margie during their Last Chance because Selena’s already weighed in anyway. Selena’s sitting on the spinbike and just going to work solidly through the session.
Weeks ago Kasey was eating potato bake, now she’s running at 13 on the treadmill. Weeks ago Michelle couldn’t even run, now she’s grinding away on the treadmill.

How do they feel about Selena already weighing in. They’re nervous, Michelle says.
Margie puts it a bit more bluntly. If it was just the three of them weighing in they’d be fine. But they’ve got a fourth team member and that fourth person hasn’t been exercising. She’s not trying to be catty, she says.
Tiff gets Margie and Kasey to increase the inclines on their treadmills and takes Michelle aside for a chat because she’s noticed something is wrong with her.

Michelle’s feeling a bit down. Not having as much motivation, wanting to eat all the time. Tiff says Michelle told her she was hungry but Tiff tells us it’s not physiological hunger, she’s having 3 meals and 3 snacks. It’s emotional hunger.
What’s making her feel emotional in the house?

Selena! Michelle says she’s gotten to the point where she’s tired of mothering her. Hamish had to go home and he really wanted to be there and then the next day Selena’s saying she wants to go home? That made Michelle really upset.
Tiff tells her to stop worrying about Selena, make sure her own diet is spot on and she’s looking after herself.
Tiff says it’s not just about being fat, she has to treat it like a serious disease that she’s recovering from.

Just a note, Tiff has a lovely white lacy training top on over her white sports bra. Sexy!

Tiff’s terrified of having to chat with Selena about her motivation because Selena’s constantly wanting to leave or stay and she never knows which one it will be.

Then the Old Dogs come storming into the Young Pups gym and Lisa, of all people, is yelling about being tired of the Old Dogs versus Young Pups thing. Top oval, tug of war, let’s finish this!
Bwahahaha! Everyone’s having a good giggle and grin about it all as they head off to the top oval.

The Young Pups are all girls and outnumbered so… this should be a walkover for the Old Dogs.

Ahh, I see, Tiff’s joining the Young Pups to even out the numbers. Not sure that will be enough. Tiff’s strong but very light!

And, as expected, the Young Pups get tugged right over the line, though they put up a good fight for a while thanks to Margie’s role as anchor.

Mish asks Margie if she’s ready to come back to Red yet and Margie says yes!
Mish also says that Lisa is scary!

Lisa’s worried that whichever team loses at weigh in a Red Team member may end up going home. Either Lydia because she’s turning into a big threat and knows The Secret or Margie because she’s strong as well.
Margie’s pretty sure the Young Pups will lose at weigh in and also pretty sure Selena will be up for Elimination as a result. She’s confident she’s safe if she’s up for Elimination though as Red and Black have her back.

Michelle has Immunity due to being the most charming at Temptation so she’s safe, no matter what…

One team will be above the Yellow Line and safe and the other team will be below the line and up for Elimination. An Elimination like never before. It won’t be just two people facing Elimination, it will be the whole Team.
And the Team itself will be the ones voting someone out.

So obviously they did this to fuck Margie over. While Kasey and Michelle don’t want Selena in their team anymore they’re likely to see eliminating Margie as the much smarter move. Margie’s scared, she tells us.
Pretty sure she should be. Hard to see how the Young Pups can win this…

So Margie throwing the challenge has now backfired. Not only did they not get the power but the Young Pups know Margie tried to screw them.

First team to weigh in will be the Old Dogs.

Alex Previous: 129.3kg
Alex Current: 123.3kg
Alex Loss: 6kg

Nice job, Alex! He’s very happy and grateful to the Red Team girls for being around this week.
Alex is now up to 38.3kg in total.

Lydia Previous: 111.7kg
Lydia Current: 106.6kg
Lydia Loss: 5.1kg

Mish is very, very happy. “Far out!”
Lydia’s very happy with that, too. She lost 4kg last week and that was a good week for her, now she’s done 5.1kg this week.

Graham Previous: 173kg
Graham Current: 166.9kg
Graham Loss: 6.1kg

Decent, though not spectacular result from Graham.

Lisa Previous: 84.8kg
Lisa Current: 83.1kg
Lisa Loss: 1.7kg

Not bad, given how light she’s getting now. She’s still disappointed as she was hoping for 3kg. She doesn’t think she’s worked hard enough. Mish says that people on the outside would be stoked by a loss like that and tells us there’s more to it than just the numbers. Improved health and fitness level. Better self confidence and belief follow from that and that helps a lot when they leave the house.

Simon Previous: 135.3kg
Simon Current: 128.9kg
Simon Loss: 6.4kg

He’s very excited by that! Gives a loud cheer.

Old Dogs Total: 25.3kg
Old Dogs Percentage: 3.99%

Simon had let things get to him in the past week but hearing Oscar’s words again helped a lot.

Young Pups turn. They need at least 18.2kg between the four of them.

First there’s some business to take care of. Selena’s weight.

Selena Previous: 135.8kg
Selena Current: 131.9kg
Selena Loss: 3.9kg

Not bad, given she weighed in two days early. Selena thought it was going to be a bad week. They’ve had a difficult week, Tiff says, so she’s really pleased by the result. And she’s capable of even bigger things, Tiff tells her.

But Selena’s heart is telling her she’d do better at home among the people she loves. And the things she loves. She has the confidence and motivation to lose the weight but not the motivation to keep playing the game.

Tiff’s shocked. It sounds like Selena’s still thinking about leaving and Tiff thought they were past that.
I guess going home and being around the people that let her get that fat is more important to her than… well, I guess than living many more years.

Hayley asks Selena if she wants to leave still and Selena says yes, she does.

Ugh.

Tiff’s looking quite unhappy. Quite!

Margie Previous: 126.8kg
Margie Current: 121.8kg
Margie Loss: 5kg

Young Pup Total So Far: 8.9kg

Margie says it’s disrespectful, Selena constantly tossing up whether she wants to stay. Michelle and Kasey know what they want to do, Margie knows what she wants to do. Suck it up and work hard, it’s crazy not to.

Young Pups still need 9.3kg between Michelle and Kasey…

Kasey Previous: 106.5kg
Kasey Current: 104.2kg
Kasey Loss: 2.3kg

Leaving 7kg for Michelle? Yeah, that’s not going to happen.
Kasey was hoping for above 3kg. She hasn’t given 100% this week, she’s lost some motivation and she’s discussed it with Tiff.
Why’d she lose motivation? Selena’s constantly trying to decide between staying and going. Kasey was trying to help Selena ahead of herself and that’s what Kasey would do on the outside for her family.

Michelle Previous: 86.4kg
Michelle Current: 85.8kg
Michelle Loss: 0.6kg

Young Pup Total: 11.8kg
Young Pup Percentage: 2.59%

So the Young Pups will definitely be facing Elimination. Margie looks gutted.
Michelle says her result reflects the week she’s had. It’s been a tough week for her. Hamish leaving was the hardest thing. She did enjoy seeing him again for the date and knowing he’s doing okay on the outside is good.
Michelle’s worried how she’ll do on the outside, she doesn’t feel like she’s ready mentally to face the outside world. She’s felt like leaving a couple of times because that’d be the easy option and it’s what the old Michelle would have done.
But not anymore, she’s sick of running, she refuses to give up.

Tiff says it’s normal to be missing home. But it’s important that she’s talking about it rather than stuffing it down with food. She’s aware of the problem and is no longer “self-medicating with food”.

Michelle still hopes Selena won’t give up, too.

Kasey tells us that Selena’s said she wants to go home so they could give her that. But Margie’s a big threat and they could send her home.

And the week’s Biggest Loser is Simon! He’s top dog, so he howls. A-woooo!

Tiff, say goodbye to your team before they head off to Elimination.
Tiff says goodbye to the others but then takes Selena aside for a special chat. The blue lights around the edge of the weigh in room light her up and she glows light a blue glowie force ghost from Star Wars. TELL HER TO USE THE FORCE! DO IT!
Tiff tells her to fight to be there. If she quits here Tiff is worried she’ll quit on the outside. Selena says she won’t. But she’s upset Michelle and Kasey and Tiff tells her to turn it around with hard work!
One more fight? Tiff begs. Selena says she’ll try.

Margie, meanwhile, is feeling extremely vulnerable. Michelle and Kasey shoved Bek out the airlock with no warning. So they could easily turf Margie out now.

Michelle and Kasey just need to ask Margie not to ever vote for them if they keep her in. No agreement with the rest of Margie’s team, just her.
Hopefully a week of training together would get Margie inclined to stick with it. After all, Michelle and Kasey aren’t threats to Margie otherwise.

Michelle has Immunity so only Margie, Kasey and Selena are valid votes. Meaning someone will have to get at least two, possibly two people though.

Margie’s devastated by being up for Elimination. She’s angry because she’s been taken out of her team for the week, her training’s been disrupted because Selena can’t get her head right. And she lost 5kg at weigh in but she’s still up for Elimination?
And Margie comes right out and says it – the smart move for the other girls is to wipe her out because Selena’s no threat. She doesn’t train. And Margie’s obviously thought of as a threat.
Margie says it’s been her worst week at Camp yet and she doesn’t feel like she deserves to be there at all.

Selena agrees with what Margie’s said. She blames herself for being there.
The hardest thing for her at Camp is missing her family. She wishes she could see them every day.
Hayley asks her how proud they’d be to see her doing so well and Selena says she’d be doing just fine on the outside, too. She’s never going back to the way she used to be.

Raise your hand if you believe that! *crickets*

Selena, are you asking your teammates to vote you out? Yes.
So much for fighting for your chance like you told Tiff you’d try!

Must be some sort of penalty for walking out instead of being voted out. Don’t get the personal trainer allowance or something?

Kasey says it’s not a black and white decision. On the one hand, yes, Selena should go. But they’ve got a chance to get rid of a Red Team member, one of the strongest members of the strongest team.
Michelle agrees that Margie’s the biggest threat sitting there. She’s a champion. She does well at all the challenges, except ones involving beams!
Margie has a chortle at that and Michelle didn’t seem to say it with malice. Think they understand each other.

Margie’s feeling even more nervous now she’s heard the other two talk. She doesn’t want to go home. She doesn’t necessarily want to win, she just wants to stay and lose more weight. Be the best person she can be. She doesn’t feel like she could do that as well if she leaves now.
So she’s hoping the other girls vote with their hearts, not their heads.

Time to write down your votes!

After an interminable ad break Michelle is first to reveal her vote. She says this would have been a good chance to get rid of a threat. Not just Margie but even Kasey, who’s a strong competitor. But in the end she’s going to follow her heart and she’s friends with the girls. And she doesn’t think it’s right to send someone home who wants to stay over someone who wants to leave.
She has, of course, voted for Selena.

Sooooo that’d be Selena doomed then. Because Margie will vote for Selena and that’ll be two votes and the next closest will be Margie on two votes and Margie’s weightloss was better. Tada!

Selena says she can’t vote for herself and doesn’t want to vote for her team so she’s voted for Margie.

Margie says she could have tried to take out a big threat but she can’t go past sending someone home who wants to go and who may very well do better at home.
Margie’s voted for Selena, of course.

Because Selena has two votes and the only other person with a vote is Margie and she’d beat you in the event of a hung vote… Yup, Selena, you’re out of here!

Margie seems very relieved to have dodged the bullet.

Selena says she’s excited to be going home though she’ll miss Michelle and Kasey. Margie looks baffled by that.
Selena insists she’ll continue to do it on the outside. She has the confidence and the knowledge she needs now, she says.
Hayley says she’s lost a total of 31.6kg.

Time to leave, Selena! The girls all tell her to keep it up on the outside.

4 weeks later…
She started at 163.5kg. Now she weighs 131.2kg, she says.

SHE’S LOST 700 GRAMS IN FOUR WEEKS! Yep, you were totally ready to leave the house. Idiot.

She knows she has a long way to go, but she say she’s off to a great start.
She trains twice a week with her PT and every other day she trains by herself.

Seeing the audition tape is like seeing another person, she says. It looks and acts like her but it’s not the same person. She’s looking forward to the changes in the future.

Tomorrow night… The game starts to heat up. What’s the next surprise waiting for the teams?

Well, since they’re all in Black Shirts right after that I’d say… SINGLE SINGLES TIME! Woohoo!

Then an emotional reality check. They’re going to carry their lost weight so far in a race against… themselves? I guess however long they took to do a certain distance when they were actually that weight? And compared to now?
Hell, I don’t know. Find out this week!
