TBL 7×23 – Who is being expelled from Camp Biggest Loser?

Previously on The Biggest Loser there was an elimination and a contest and a challenge and a Temptation and…

Let’s be honest, the only reason you’re watching Monday’s show or reading this recap is because you saw the start of the wild party and are wondering who’s getting kicked out of Camp.

There might also be a weigh-in tonight, perhaps some training but due to the expulsion it’s probable that there won’t be another elimination.
Of course if the expelled contestant is one that otherwise had Immunity, that will be doubly hilarious!

I mean awful. Just awful. Bad behaviour. Tsk.

White Team has a 3kg disadvantage going into the weigh-in, if it happens. But it looks like we’ll be going straight into the line-crossing shenanigans at the party “last night”.

Shannan says the party started out in a good, clean, fun fashion. But as the night went on Luke’s behaviour is getting worse and worse. Shannan says they don’t have alcohol in Camp but Luke was slurring his words and stumbling and appaeared to be drunk.
Shannan can’t believe his eyes and Luke’s obviously had way more than a couple of drinks.

Now he’s swearing at someone and some of the girls are trying to calm him down. Margie’s trying to have a chat with him but he’s wandered off.

And that’s all we get to see? Eh. That didn’t look so bad, to be honest. It’s not a great look but he didn’t seem to have any physical altercations with anyone? Didn’t bust up the place?

Shannan declares that nobody can behave like that at Camp Biggest Loser and expect to get away with it. Luke’s in lockdown after the party and so Shannan’s going to go have a chat with him to get Luke’s side of the story.

Kasey, Selena, Michelle and Hamish are in Loser Lounge to discuss it. They all agree it got a bit out of control. Hamish says to us that he thinks Luke owes them all an apology for his behaviour. His actions hurt a lot of people and a lot of people were scared that night?
So I think maybe we didn’t see everything that happened that night.
Michelle says they’re there to detox from all that sort of thing so she doesn’t see the point. Hamish says he doesn’t understand the point of drinking at all and Michelle says she’s with him on that one. Awkward high five!

Hamish isn’t sure they’d kick him out for it but… we’ll see, Kasey says.

Shannan’s in the Blue Team’s room for his chat with Luke. Luke confesses, right from the start, that he’s stuffed up. He brought alcohol to Camp and overindulged in it.
Shannan says it’s the most serious breach of the rules he’s ever seen since being on the show. Luke apparently had an entire bottle of (unspecified) alcohol in a period of 3 hours. Is that a lot? It sounds like a lot.
Shannan says the number one rule for Blue Team is to have respect for others and yourself.
Luke thinks he went back to his old demons. Alcohol’s a big problem for him. Huge.

Shannan says they have to decide what they’re going to do. If he’d just brought grog in Shannan could have kicked his arse and that’d be the end of it. But Shannan’s hands are tied.
He’s gone high and low and someone’s gotta go. I assume that’ll be Luke, not Shannan or anyone else!

Shannan takes Luke to Loser Lounge and calls everyone together. They all know about the partying that went on and it got out of control.
Luke apologises to everyone who had to see his actions under the influence of alcohol.

“My punishment is that… I’ve got to say goodbye and leave the competition.” OUCH.
Won’t be eligible for the grand prize, won’t be eligible for the eliminated contestant prize at Finale.
But he says if he can’t win the prize he can win back their respect by being at Finale at his goal weight.

Time for him to say goodbye and good luck to everyone.
Luke’s got issues and he needs help, Shannan says. The kind of help he can only get on the outside. You’d think with all the alcoholics they’ve had on over the years they’d’ve got someone with some experience in the field on-call for them?

Shannan says he’s giving Luke a clean slate and will judge him on his actions between now and Finale. He’s hoping Luke can still make him proud.
Shannan wishes him all the best and tells us he’ll be with Luke every step of the way on the outside.

Some time later Tiff rocks up to her dojang to chat to the White Team. She’s disappointed to hear her ninjas have a 4kg disadvantage at the weigh-in. She’s horrified, in fact. “Oh my gawwwwd!”
Blue has Immunity – though Tiff doesn’t mention that there’s only one Blue left now anyway – and so there’s only one spot above the Yellow Line left.
Might not be one yet, Tiff!

Kasey looks a bit upset and so Tiff heads over for a chat. Kasey says they were digging and it didn’t look like Selena was pulling her weight.
Cue replay footage of Selena doing a half-arsed job at digging during her turtle-phase!
Selena’s shaking her head as Kasey relays this to Tiff and Kasey tells her not to.

Tiff gets them off the cardio machines for a chat. Selena starts hollering at the others that she was pulling her weight and that the others were bullying her, which the others deny and say they were encouraging her.

Tiff breaks in at that point to try and keep things somewhat calm as Selena is wagging her finger and shouting at the other girls.

Bek is trying to speak calmly to Selena while she keeps yelling. Bek’s saying they weren’t bossing her around they were trying to help.
Tiff pulls them in closer to try and sort it out. One at a time, let’s vent!

Selena says she’s got 30kg or so on any of the other girls, so she can’t… Kasey interrupts and points out that her and Bek both have about 30kg on Michelle and they keep up with her just fine. Kasey wasn’t just sitting there shovelling lamely.
Kasey says she can’t listen to it any further and starts walking out of the room, only to stop and say they’ve been trying to make her feel like part of the team since the start and then again when she came back. Selena says they didn’t yesterday.

Tiff then asks the crucial question – could Selena have tried harder yesterday? And Selena says she could’ve, if she’d had more support.

Well, that does it for me. Selena’s lazy and the rest of the team are just sick of it.

Michelle’s thinking that Selena could be doing more. And Tiff points out to Selena that she said, honestly, she could have worked harder.
Tiff says that she could have worked harder, but she didn’t want to? Or she got ganged up on? And so she gave up.

Tiff is determined to unify her girls but honestly I think her best chance of that is for Selena to get eliminated yet again!
Tiff is going to use the martial arts that she loves to help them get their anger out in the dojang.

Meanwhile Black Team are doing their Last Chance Training out in another dreary Sydney day. There’s a rowing machine, some sandbags and “Mister Wheelbarrow”!
They’re going to put the sandbags in the wheelbarrow and push it up the hill.
Steve says that each week the boys say they’ve not given it their all at weigh-in but this week they’ve said they’ll give it 100%. And now he wants to see that in action.

Graham’s been complaining about his injuries, Simon says, but he’s worked bloody hard. Simon’s got no regrets about the week. Probably getting a lot of endorphins from sexytimes with Lisa?
Graham wheels the barrow to the bottom of the hill and doesn’t make sure it’s stable before letting it go, causing it to topple over while he walks away. Simon rights the barrow and gets back to work while shouting at Graham to get on the rowing machine.

Steve says Simon and Alex will be able to get on the scales with pride but Graham’s still whinging and whining far too much. If he put as much effort into training as he did to complaining he’d be doing a lot better, Steve tells him.

Red Team is all dressed up. Sort of. You know, dressed up for training as much as one can be. They’re wearing headbands! Mish compliments them.
Red’s decided to have a bit of fun with Mish this morning. They set out the terms of the challenge and the penalty and Mish is scared but then they tell her they won.
As trainer pranks go that’s about the weakest. Ever.
Mish is very happy with them but also annoyed at them trying to get her going. Says 100 pushups for all of them!

Lydia’s workout starts with punching the mitts with Mish. Margie’s on the rowing machine and Lisa’s on the spinbikes. Later some weights, etc. Lots and lots of hard work for Last Chance Training, win at the challenge or not!
Only one Team can be above the Yellow Line with Hamish/Blue, so it’s important they get as much out as they can.

Lisa finds it hard to lift as much as Lydia and Margie but she’s pushing through and making the other two proud of her.
Red’s done everything they can to get above the Line. And what Red Team wants, Red Team gets, Lydia announces.

Tiff says Last Chance for White isn’t about working out it’s about working through some issues. Get the anger out and leave it in the dojang.
Tiff wants them to smash through some barriers in the form of flimsy boards. Selena’s goal is 8kg and she smashes through the board easily. Tiff says she’s proud of her. Awww!

Michelle smashes through hers easily, as do Bek and Kasey.
Tiff is very proud of her ninjas breaking the boards and for pushing through their frustrations. They’ve got to work as a team. Bek reaches an arm out to Selena’s shoulder and grasps it with a nod. Says a lot, methinks.
They’ve got to stay together and stay strong, Tiff says.

And now it’s time for the weigh-in. No Last Chance with Hamish? That’s a shame!

Trainers aren’t there for the weigh-in, either?

Hayley recaps the week of Immunities. Luke got one, Lydia got one and Hamish got one.
But Luke got sent home! So now Hamish is the only Blue member remaining.

No talk of not having an elimination yet? So they’re going through with it then?

White have a 4kg weight penalty going into the weigh-in. If the three non-Selena people are smart they’ll all drink a bottle of water beforehand to ensure they’re below the Line and can put Selena up for Elimination.
Too cynical?

Hamish will be first to weigh-in because he has Immunity and can’t fall below the Line.

Hamish Previous: 132.8kg
Hamish Current: 127kg
Hamish Loss: 5.8kg

Blue Total: 5.8kg
Blue Percentage: 4.37%

Wow, that’s a great result from Hamish. Might even be a Biggest Loser of the Week nod for that effort?
Hamish hasn’t been that weight since Grade 8, he says.
Hamish says the relationship with Michelle is getting better and better, day by day. And he’s never felt this way about a girl before. D’AWWWWWWWWW. CHUBBY LOVE!
Bek and Kasey are giggling behind Michelle. Michelle says it’s great, who doesn’t want… a friend?

HA!

Next up, Red. Margie’s the first from their group.

Margie Previous: 136.3kg
Margie Current: 129.7kg
Margie Loss: 6.6kg

WHOA! That’s an awesome result from Margie. She’s pleased to see the numbers still coming down.

Lisa Previous: 91.1kg
Lisa Current: 86.7kg
Lisa Loss: 4.4kg

Wow! Another great result. She’s so excited to be under 90kg.
And things are going really well with Simon. Not in her wildest dreams did she think she’d meet someone on the show and her boys will be really happy. Shocked, but happy.

Lydia’s last to weigh-in. She has Immunity so is safe regardless…

Lydia Previous: 122.3kg
Lydia Current: 115.7kg
Lydia Loss: 6.6kg

Red Total: 17.6kg
Red Percentage: 5.03%

Wow, that puts them into first place ahead of Blue/Hamish.

White Team will need, with their 4kg weight disadvantage, to lose at least 27.5kg.
That’s… 7kg each. The not-Selena girls, maybe? Surely not Selena though.

Selena Previous: 145.4kg
Selena Current: 138.5kg
Selena Loss: 6.9kg

Wow, that’s a very good result, especially for someone who’s supposedly not putting in the hard yards. Better adherence to the diet, perhaps?
Selena says she’s more mature than she was on the outside. She wants to talk and reconcile with her Mum. She wants to tell her Mum the truth about why she didn’t want to go to school and tell her the truth about being bullied at school.
Selena says she misses her Mum and is sorry for pushing her away. She’s hoping her Mum is proud of her because she’s proud of herself.

Selena tells us she’s just lost 6.9kg so if they fall below the Yellow Line the other girls had better have a really good reason for putting her up.
Bek tells us she’s surprised by the number because they all know she’s not giving it her all.

Kasey Previous: 115.9kg
Kasey Current: 111.4kg
Kasey Loss: 4.5kg

White Total: 11.4kg
Not even halfway. Doomed!

Michelle Previous: 93.8kg
Michelle Current: 91.3kg
Michelle Loss: 2.5kg

White Total: 13.9kg

Leaving 13.6kg for Bek? Yeahhhhh, that seems unlikely, doesn’t it? Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

Michelle would be sad if she had to leave on the back of this result. And she’s never felt like that about a guy before, either.
“So embarassing!” She says it’s great to have someone to count on every day.

Bek’s turn. Bek’s confident she’s done all she can.

Bek Previous: 111kg
Bek Current: 107.1kg
Bek Loss: 3.9kg

White Total: 17.8kg
White Total After Penalty: 13.8kg
White Percentage: 2.96%

Which means they’re below the Yellow Line and will face Elimination. Bek says it’s disappointing to be below the Line again but, as a team, they’ve performed pretty averagely at this weigh-in.
Soooo Selena’s not considered part of the team, then? She did pretty good!

Last to weigh in will be the Black Team. They need to lose at least 23.6kg to beat Red and stay safe.
There’s only 3 of them so it’s only just over 7kg each…

Simon Previous: 143.9kg
Simon Current: 136.5kg
Simon Loss: 7.4kg

He’s stoked. His target was 7kg and he’s done even better than that. He’s hoping his result is making his boys proud.
It certainly seems to have made Lisa proud as he gets back and gets a quick snog from her. Lisa giggles to us afterwards that she just didn’t think about the cameras!

Alex Previous: 139.2kg
Alex Current: 131.6kg
Alex Loss: 7.6kg

Black Total: 15kg

Alex is happy because that’s exactly what Commando wanted out of him this week.
Alex feels like he’s got more self confidence. He’ll be able to take his nephews to the footy without feeling bad about taking up two seats or anything.

Last is Graham. He needs at least 8.6kg to beat Red. That’s… not impossible.

Graham Previous: 184.7kg
Graham Current: 177.9kg
Graham Loss: 6.8kg

Awwww!

Black Total: 21.8kg
Black Percentage: 4.66%

Without Hamish’s Immunity they would have been above the Line. Poor buggers.
Graham says he’s put the work in so while he’s a bit disappointed they didn’t get above the Line he’s happy with his result.

Alex blows up a bit to us. He says Graham’s not trying 100%, even though he says he does. He’s believing his own lies, Alex thinks.

Hamish and Red are safe. And Alex is the week’s Biggest Loser!

White and Black are below the Line again. So who’s going to face Elimination this time?

Surely it’ll be Selena (because nobody likes her) and Graham (because he had the worst loss).

White have already made their decision. Well, the Bek-Michelle-Kasey part have. But they’re trying to work out how to put Selena up again.
I think it’s pretty easy – you’re disruptive to the Team spirit. Get out!
Bek asks them if they base it on work ethic and how they feel? Nobody knows.

Graham, meanwhile, is falling on his sword yet again. Simon asks if they’re still sticking by the lowest percentage thing? Alex looks a bit torn. He doesn’t want to say yes, but doesn’t want to say no.

Selena’s the first to vote for her team and she puts Bek in it, saying Bek has the ability to do it on the outside now and has the confidence to do it.
Bek’s vote in turn is for Selena because she thinks she could give more in training.
Michelle’s having a lot of trouble deciding. I think Kasey’s already decided but she’s sitting right beside Selena…

Elimination Room! Who’s going to come in?

WHOA! They’ve actually put Bek up?! I’m gobsmacked. I thought for sure they’d get over the guilty feelings and put Selena back up.
Graham also comes in with Bek. That’s an interesting face off. If Graham ever gets his shit together he’ll be a massive threat, where Bek is unlikely to ever pose as much of a threat, though it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Lydia thought Selena or Michelle would be up. Michelle because she’s doing well in general or Selena for the disruption and ill feeling within their team.

Bek’s looking quite upset. She was surprised by the way the team turned on her. Michelle also voted for Bek, as did Kasey, because they agree with Selena that Bek can do it on the outside now.
Yikes. Bek is obviously blindsided by this but holds it together enough to point out that her, Kasey and Michelle had agreed beforehand to put Selena up. She wishes they’d said that before.
Bek says the other girls lied to her face that morning. She asked them if there was any change to their plans and they didn’t say anything then. That was the hard bit for her. She was honest about her decision and the why of it. Selena didn’t know in advance because she didn’t ask. If Selena had asked Bek says she would have been honest with her and given the way she was honest in the discussion, I believe her.
Bek wants to still be there, but doesn’t want to put anyone there in her place. She’s not ready to go home though.

Bek is hoping Red might keep her in the game, even for another day or hour or second.

Graham’s to the point, as usual. He had the lowest percentage so he’s up again. Simple.
He does need to still be there though. He’s the largest still in the competition and… OH YEAH HE WANTS TO START A FAMILY. You know the drill. Wah wah, fatties can’t find love unless their names are Simon, Lisa, Michelle or Hamish or any of the past contestants who have totally shacked up and made babies and stuff.
Graham’s worried he’ll fail himself on the outside.

Bek’s asked if she has one last plea to the others and she manages to choke out through the tears that she has so many things she still wants to do with her life that her weight has stopped her from doing. She wants to live the life she wants to live, have a family, pursue her dreams.

Time to vote! Three Reds and one Blue.

Tomorrow night! Will Bek survive the ambush Elimination?
Also the trainers are taking back control of Camp Biggest Loser. Surprise midnight raid training session of doom!

And then a race back to Camp with dire consequences. Hayley says to someone that they have to choose a family to leave Camp immediately.
Oh god if they’re sending them off for a session with Emazon I’m going to punch my screen SO HARD.
