TBL 7×20 – Train with Eagles! Eat like fat kids! Train with Eagles! Eat like…
Previously on The Biggest Loser… Three Immunities, One Week! It’s Immunity Week at Camp Biggest Loser.
Luke’s the first beneficiary of Immunity Week, getting a 24 hour pass away from Camp to spend time with his family and friends and beers.
Tonight a surprise weigh-in starts and then a training session with the Manly Sea Eagles and then a blindfolded Temptation. Busy, busy bees.
All the contestants file into the Weigh-In Room again. They did this last night. You said they’re weighing in again last night. Get on with it!
Today’s Weigh-In will also be their second opportunity to grab Immunity and get themself a 24 hour leave pass.
For this weigh-in there’s no teams, no Yellow Line and no Elimination. Lose the most weight by percentage and you win!
Lisa’s first up.
Lisa Previous: 91.1kg
Lisa Current: 90.6kg
Lisa Loss: 0.5kg
Lisa Percentage: 0.55%
Lisa’s in the lead. Big surprise! That loss was in a mere three days, Margie tells us. Be interesting to see how much more they all lose between now and the proper weigh-in.
Kasey Previous: 115.9kg
Kasey Current: 115.4kg
Kasey Loss: 0.5kg
Kasey Percentage: 0.43%
Second place, Lisa retains the lead.
Alex needs at least 800grams to beat Lisa.
Alex Previous: 139.2kg
Alex Current: 138.4kg
Alex Loss: 0.8kg
Alex Percentage: 0.57%
Alex now takes the winner’s podium. Hamish next.
Hamish Previous: 132.8kg
Hamish Current: 132.7kg
Hamish Loss: 0.1kg
Hamish Percentage: 0.08%
He looks a little disappointed, Michelle looks a little disappointed, Lydia looks a little schadenfreude-y.
Bek says it’s not so surprising because Hamish isn’t working as hard as he should since the last weigh-in.
Hamish says the 24 hour leave has got him thinking too much. He wants to go get a hug from his Mum.
Gawd, bet Michelle finds him SO HOT RIGHT NOW.
Hamish has a message for his Mum. He’s doing it for a hug from her and he hopes to get one soon. But he’s not going to cry about it.
Michelle has a slightly sour expression on her face but Hayley is talking about how Hamish is the youngest there and sometimes you just need a hug from your Mum.
Michelle’s next up, happily enough!
Michelle Previous: 93.8kg
Michelle Current: 93.3kg
Michelle Loss: 0.5kg
Michelle Percentage: 0.53%
Third place! At least she beat her boyyyyyyyyyfriend.
Michelle would also have gone home to her family with her 24 hour pass. She works with her folks every day so they’re together 24/7.
But she’s trying to become a more independent version of herself, like her brother has set himself up with a good life and so on.
Simon Previous: 143.9kg
Simon Current: 143kg
Simon Loss: 0.9kg
Simon Percentage: 0.63%
Simon’s now in first place. Simon’s pleased by his result, says he’s turned up to every training session and done everything he can.
But he confesses to us there’s still some hard workers to face off so he’s not confident he’ll win just yet.
Margie will be next and needs at least 0.9kg to topple Simon.
Margie Previous: 136.3kg
Margie Current: 135kg
Margie Loss: 1.3kg
Margie Percentage: 0.95%
Nice effort from Margie, topples Simon quite easily.
Bek has been training very hard, including working out a lot with Lydia, so she’s feeling more confident in this weigh-in than she did at Monday’s.
Bek Previous: 111kg
Bek Current: 111kg
Bek Loss: 0kg
Bek Percentage: 0%
She looks MOST DISPLEASED. Bek’s not happy that some people have taken time off from training and she’s been working out every day and worked out for 3.5 hours with Lydia and pushed herself hard.
Lydia needs 1.2kg to beat Margie. Lydia’s battling injuries and in a lot of pain and is thus just hoping for a loss.
Lydia Previous: 122.3kg
Lydia Current: 120.8kg
Lydia Loss: 1.5kg
Lydia Percentage: 1.23%
Handily beating Margie. Only a few people left now.
Lydia’s pleased she’s lost almost as much as she had at the last weigh-in but she’s surprised by Bek’s number because Bek has been there beside her the last couple of days and pushing hard.
Lydia says the first thing she’ll do with her 24 hour pass, if she wins, is go and find a gym, as sad as that might be. It’d be awesome to see her family and friends but she’s not ready for that yet. She’s there to change her life.
She also misses her horse, a lot. But this time away losing weight is as much for her horse as it is for herself. So she can wait a little longer.
Selena Previous: 145.4kg
Selena Current: 144.9kg
Selena Loss: 0.5kg
Selena Percentage: 0.34%
Just Graham to weigh-in. Lydia says she’s happy either way but she thinks Graham might have her, seeing how hard he’s been working the last few days.
Graham needs at least 2.3kg to beat Lydia.
Graham Previous: 184.7kg
Graham Current: 185.1kg
Graham GAIN: 0.4kg
Graham Percentage: -0.22%
Oh dear, what’s gone wrong there Graham? Graham’s quite distraught. He’s done all the training sessions and busted his guts so he doesn’t know what’s happened.
There’s still time to turn it around before the next weigh-in though. Don’t get disheartened.
Simon says he’s been training hard and this was a surprise weigh-in and Graham drank a lot of water as part of his morning training session so that’s what he’s seeing there.
Lydia’s now earned Immunity for herself and will be safe at the next Elimination. And she’s now got 24 hours away from Camp. She’s planning on finding a queen sized bed in a hotel in Sydney and going to the gym and just having some time to herself.
Hayley suggests they all use this as motivation for the rest of the week but if they have any doubts they could always go hard at the final chance at Immunity…
Luke’s returned to Camp at last. He tells Hamish all about his adventures on the outside. Luke’s Dad was surprised at Luke’s control when it came to eating and drinking.
We get a bit of Luke’s Mum asking him if he wants a glass of juice for his breakfast and he says no, too much sugar. And she’s not having one either. He’s going to cook her an egg white omelette for breakfast with some grainybread toast.
His Mum’s surprised that Luke only eats about a third of what he used to at breakfast.
Luke also tried on some of his old clothes. He puts one of his friends children in his pants with him and can still do them up.
Yeah. Not sure you should be talking about doing that on TV. Even if the Mum is right there. And seemingly not uncomfortable about Luke not having his shirt on and only having ill-fitting pants on.
Singles, you say? Okay.
Luke also got his Dad to put some new holes in his belt for him. One for the current size and one for the future.
Trainers turn up the next day and Lydia’s missing! Oh noes, Mish thinks!
Surprise weigh-in this morning, highest weightloss gets Immunity and 24 hour pass out of the house.
Mish is ecstatic at Lydia’s loss of 1.5kg and winning at the surprise weigh-in. But very concerned Lydia chose to go to a hotel instead of going home. Margie says Lydia said she’d find a gym, Mish worries Lydia might find Room Service.
Did anyone put weight on, Shannan asks? Yes, Graham confesses. He’s still pretty cut up about it. But it’s only 400 grams and Mish says to him, “That’s a bottle of water, dude.” And Simon says he told Graham that before, that’s all he’s seeing there.
Steve thinks Graham should use this to fire himself up. Work even harder.
Shannan says to them all that they need professional help, that’s obvious. So today they’re going to go train with a professional football team, the Manly Sea Eagles!
They’re off to the Eagles training base today and this is the contestant’s first chance to make them proud in public so let’s go!
They rock up at some nondescript park in Sydney and Margie is stoked. She loves football!
Four premiership winning players are there. George Rose, David Williams, Vic Morrow and Matty Bowen.
One or more of those names might be wrong. I used to follow the NRL back when it was the ARL. Probably before some of those players were even born, come to think of it.
So you can imagine how immensely thrilled I am by four random knobs from the Eagles being introduced.
It’s a rainy day in Sydney so that should make it all a lot more fun, right?
The Sea Eagles players and coaches all have Kaspersky on their shirts and hats and pants. Probably on their undies, too.
The strength and fitness coach, Donny Singe, will be taking them through the drills the boys go through every single day.
Presumably every day they’re not getting drunk, high or pooping in hotel corridors.
David “Wolfman” Williams broke his neck last year. He was out of training for a long time, couldn’t even run for months.
But getting back on the horse is the main thing. You can work through the injuries, so long as you’ve got your head right. Start slow and you get back into it eventually.
Shannan says that none of the contestants have injuries anything like as severe as David’s was and that they need to start learning to push past the little niggles, not let them stop them from training.
The first thing they’re going to teach the contestants is the pummel training. That warms their shoulders up and gets the heart pumping to start a session.
Most of them do pretty poorly, but Kasey and Michelle do the worst of all, constantly breaking into giggles while trying to follow instructions.
Next up is some heavy bag tackling. Tackle the bag, hold it tight and twist it all the way around.
Red and Black are doing the tackle bags first while White and Blue do some running back and forth with pushups at either end.
Margie’s absolutely smashing the tackle bag. Unsurprising as she used to play football herself, but Mish is obviously very pleased.
Margie represented Queensland in both League and Union and having let herself go afterwards it was always hard running into her old teammates because they’d be taken aback and she’d be embarassed.
So she tried to avoid them when she could. She wanted to go back to playing some football but she couldn’t.
Margie’s thriving in the environment at the training session but also at Camp in general, rediscovering her competitive spirit.
They’re all getting pretty good at tackling and wrestling the bags around. Considering most of them had never been particularly sporty in the past it’s quite a turnaround.
Donny says in League you look for the weak link. You look for the guy who’s tired. Don’t show anybody you’re tired. Stand up straight.
The “matador drill” involves doing a light tackle on another contestant, getting down to the ground, then getting back up and chasing them again. Over and over and over. Mish says it’s a very tough exercise.
Hamish still hasn’t had the penny-drop moment, Shannan says. Hamish has mostly gotten through thanks to Immunities and luck. He’s not dropping the big numbers and not bringing the guts and hard work Shannan likes to see.
Shannan has a chat with him and Hamish confesses that his Dad had said he’d be lucky to make it four weeks at Camp. Ouch!
Hamish doesn’t want to go home. Hamish’s Dad telling him he wouldn’t make it that far, doesn’t that fire him up? Chips are down, prove him wrong?
Proving him wrong comes with some consequences – you’ve got to do the actual work. You want your Dad to tell you he’s proud and he can make it all the way through and he’s strong and a manly manly man, man? Yes, Hamish says. He wishes his Dad had said that and Shannan says there’s only one way for that to happen.
You’ve got to harden up, Hamish. Perhaps even harden the FUCK up?
When the chips are down, Hard Hamish goes for it, Shannan says.
Hamish even gets an accidental clip from one of the Manly boys who checks on him, but Hamish isn’t squealing or screaming he tells us afterwards, he manned up and kept going for once!
Selena’s thrilled she gets to work out with George. He’s one of her inspirations, apparently.
Why yes, he’s an indigenous player. How did you guess?
George says to her that she’ll be inspiring people too, in no time, if she keeps going like she’s going. And she gets another hug from George, much to her delight.
Lydia’s at her hotel and looking forward to getting a good night’s sleep in her comfy bed.
But first, let’s check the minibar!
Lydia admits she’s a late night minibar kind of person, some chips and a sandwich and a late night movie.
She finds the first third of her workout the hardest. She has to get into it and just look towards the end, then she can get it done.
And she’s really pleased to manage to get it done on the outside, by herself.
Lydia’s watching the burgers and stuff come out of the kitchen at the fancy restaurant she’s picked for dinner. But she’s not as tempted anymore. Not after seeing the one and a half tonnes of fat they dumped in front of them on the first day.
Instead of all that bad stuff, she’s having some fish and some veggies and a small glass of wine.
And then as she turns in for the night she says she’d be lying if she didn’t admit it was nice to go to sleep without having to listen to Margie’s snoring!
Meanwhile, back at Camp… Temptation has been set up in the Loser Lounge for a change. There’s boxes of chocolates in front of each seat.
Hayley says to them, “It’s been said that life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re going to get.”
At today’s Temptation a box of chocolates is exactly what they’re going to get. Who likes chocolate? Lots and lots of hands go up. Two from some people!
And whoever eats the most chocolate will get the Immunity and the 24 hour leave pass. So that’s going to be awful tempting for most everyone.
How much chocolate they eat should be a personal decision, not influenced by others. So they’ll be wearing blindfolds today. You won’t be able to see other people eating but you may be able to hear them!
Each chocolate contains a mere 76 calories. Can easily work that off, Hayley suggests.
Bek is horrified as she realises she would have polished off an entire box just a month ago. “Seriously, who eats just one chocolate? Nobody does that!”
A whole box contains 1,368 calories. Yikes!
Only one pass up for grabs. Michelle would love it. It’s her brother’s 30th birthday tomorrow so it’d be great for her to go home and celebrate with him.
Hamish wants to go home and see his folks. And pretty much everyone thinks he, at least, will take a crack at it.
Contestants? Time starts now. They’re all blindfolded by this point and some of them immediately open up their boxes and begin fondling the chocolates.
Selena even picks one up and starts sniffing at it. Get the feeling she’ll eat one just because she wants one.
Bek is in between Margie and Graham and both of them are rustling away with the chocolates. She’s not sure if anyone is actually eating them or just playing games.
Simon’s got a sweet tooth. He’s always had one. He likes sweets!
So far it doesn’t look like anyone has eaten but then… Yep, Hamish stuffs one in his gob. Sigh!
Alex is sitting next to Hamish and he can hear him eating the chocolates and Alex thinks to himself… he may as well try making Hamish eat the whole lot!
Pretty sure he’s going to go close to that regardless, Alex.
Many of the others are still struggling with the decision. Margie lets out a loud burp and apologises, saying the chocolates are getting to her. Bek is mortified both at the belch and the smell and thinks maybe Margie’s had a few too many!
That causes pretty much everyone to break into gigglefits. Hamish giggles while downing yet more chocolate.
Margie burps again and says the second box is a killer!
Hamish is now playing with his chocolates as he eats them. And Simon can hear him gasping and breathing heavily and Hamish just doesn’t seem to be stopping.
Simon ends the show by saying he thinks Hamish needs his head read.
Tomorrow night, will Hamish win by eating ALL the chocolates?
Mish’s team will have a night out on the town. Mish is going to look FABULOUS. Big surprise, I know.
Then the weekly challenge kicks off. Digging kayaks up out of the sand. And there’s drama in both the Blue AND White teams. Selena throwing a hissy fit at Kasey and Hamish finally cracking it at Luke.
Fun fun fun!
