TBL 7×15 – Sweet, delicious Temptation. And oranges!

Previously on The Biggest Loser Brenda got sent home at Elimination after the alliance with White fell through.
Then BOYS VERSUS GIRLS! No longer in four teams they’re in just two.

At The Contest the girls managed to overcome the boys and win the right to go on The Walk.
As well as The Walk tonight the girls will have a training session where they right things on paper and then punch and kick the pieces of paper. You know, like they seem to do every season now.

Temptation kicks off. It’s fancy feasts all round! Everyone’s all dolled up and the various tempting foods will be brought in by a proper waiter and everything. Should be fun.

But first Lydia must go on The Walk. Lydia’s remembering the last time The Walk happened and Selena returning to the game as a result. She knows this is likely to be a big game changer.

Lydia arrives at the bunker and there’s three munition cases again. Same as last time, power over Food, Training or Mystery. Without getting to see inside first you’ve got to decide which one would be best and with there only being two teams this week, this power could make all the difference come weigh-in time.
Lydia’s worried there might be some backlash towards her depending on which option she takes. Well, it’s simple, choose Mystery. They’re going to understand you getting something bad for them out of that more than they will if you pick to mess with their Food or Training.

So, of course, Lydia picks the Food box! So much for her making the smart choice.

Lydia gets back to Camp and finds the girls and tries to trick them into thinking it backfired and they have to eat 10,000 calories a day. Seriously, nobody’s going to believe that.
Kasey and Margie say they could have had a heart attack!

Anyway, Lydia reveals the real contents of the envelope – Choose a team to eat either green or orange food until weigh-in.

Well, that’s just stupid, isn’t it. They’ll be forcing the boys to actually eat healthy!

As the trainers turn up to Camp they find only the boys in Loser Lounge. The girls have all been off somewhere since The Contest win and Lydia went for her Walk.
And as they’re explaining that the girls come back in.

Lydia lays out the boxes for everyone again, after smugly saying she knows something they don’t know.
She explains she went with the food option and the Girls decided to affect the Boys diet and the Boys will now be eating… Orange food!

So the boys head off with their trainers to work out what foods are orange. There’s a lot of seafood and Ryan doesn’t eat seafood. So it’s going to be difficult for him.
Alex suggests the yolk from eggs but they can’t really do that because there’s 9 grams of fat and 81-ish calories. Which is quite a bit for not much food.
Then he comes up with orange lentils.

Steve says to the boys that the girls are expecting them to fail. Let’s turn it into an advantage instead.

Mish knows the girls need to work on what’s holding them back, advantage this week or not. Some of the horrible words that’ve been said to them by the opposite sex.
What? Women are their own worst judge-y enemies, not men!

Anyway Mish tells them all to write the word that pops into their mind first onto a piece of paper. Lisa says it’s quite challenging because if you put it out there you’ve got to deal with it.

Selena’s written “Fatty Brown” on her piece of paper. We’d not seen that on the show before but she referred to it in her Face Your Fears speech.

They put them up on the walls around the outdoor gym. Mish asks them how many times they’ve all been told they’re ugly, or fat, or called Fatty Brown.
Selena wants to go back to the time she was pushed off her bike and bashed. Wants to tell all those people she’s not an “abo” or a “coon dog”. She might be aboriginal and overweight but she’s better than them!
Mish says she doesn’t need to live that story anymore. While the story hangs around they’re still bullying her and it’ll keep haunting her.
Selena says she has trouble finding someone to love because in the back of her mind is always the thought – will they hurt me?
Selena wants to find a guy who’ll love her for who she is and give her the respect she deserves.

Mish tells her to look at how much she can do, exercise, lose weight. And so much more!

Lisa’s paper says, “Cut this bit off and you’d look much better!” Is that referring to her head?
Mish has Lisa read it out loud for her. And then again, but Lisa struggles reading it the second time. Mish prods her some more.
After an ad break Mish is still asking Lisa to repeat it.
Lisa’s ex-husband said that to her. 20 years ago. And she’s been carrying it around all that time.
But the next 20 years will be better when she kicks through it. Kicking and punching and and so on.
Mish says she’s achieved a lot already, both at Camp and in raising two boys. She deserves so much better!

Steve’s giving the boys a lesson on cooking with orange foods. He’s not going to let them fall over just because they’re eating some different food!
Shannan finally turns up as the chilli flakes are getting added. He laughs and says that looks like trouble.

Shannan had left for a bit to take out an “insurance policy” for the boys. He pulls out a box of Nature’s Own pills. Oh dear…
It’s a “Night Multivitamin” which will apparently help them sleep well, stop some of the night cramping and get their immune systems in shape.
Also, a probiotic to keep their guts good. They’re even orange pills? Flavoured? Not sure. Anyway they all have a good laugh at that after Steve points it out on the pack.
Shannan says if they’re going to be eating all those beans without taking the probiotic they’ll be smoking each other out!

Lisa and Kasey come to check up on them and they agree that the very bright orange meal they’re cooking up is definitely orange enough.
The boys are putting on a brave face, Lisa says, but she thinks the novelty will wear off very quickly.

With the restricted diet Shannan knows the boys will have to put in the effort at training. But Ryan’s still slacking off and quitting too early and Luke says that that’s putting Ryan’s head on the chopping block.

Are there any romances blossoming in the house, Ryan asks us? And answers yes!
Luke’s got his shirt off in the lounge and is sitting in front of Lydia getting a massage from her.
Simon’s giving Lisa a back rub at some point and they’re getting along well, Simon says. She makes him happy!
Hamish might have an “informal alliance” with Michelle, Bek suggests.

Hamish is wandering around without his shirt on in the lounge, too. Ick. He gives Michelle’s hair a scruff before wandering off again. And they’re pictured at some other point having a close giggle together in a more secluded part of Loser Lounge.
Michelle says Hamish is really friendly, a good bloke.

Chubby love is in the air!

Lisa and Bek turn up to train and instead of training equipment they’re surprised to discover some candles and pretty flowers and fancy outfits with their names on them. Oooh!
There’s also a letter for the contestants.
When was the last time they got dressed up and went out for dinner? Lisa says her last dinner date was 20 years ago!

They all have to pick an outfit and get dressed. Margie pulls a lovely blue dress off the rack… and turns around telling Simon he’d look lovely in that. Everyone has a good laugh while Simon holds it up against his body. They give each other a kiss on the cheek afterwards so it’s good to see they don’t all hate each other’s guts!
Michelle’s really excited and loves her dress. Lisa doesn’t even own a dress, she says, so it’s nice to actually dress like a girl for a change.

Usually if they get all fancied up they’d be going somewhere fancy. But they’re not. They’re going to Camp Biggest Loser’s one – and only – fine dining restaurant.
Some lovely diaphanous curtains with standing candlesticks behind set the mood wonderfully for… The Silver Spoon Temptation!

While there’s two teams, boys versus girls, Temptation will be a solo affair. So there may be some drama over whether people take part or not.
It will also be a very special Temptation because all the food will be prepared by one of Australia’s finest chefs. Author, owner and chef at Sydney’s Summit Restaurant, Michael Moore.

Hayley then tells the boys that since they’re only allowed to eat orange food until weigh-in they’ll be given a pass today, so they can participate if they choose.
The boys are VERY EXCITED by this news. I think they’re all going to be very tempted just so they don’t have to eat only orange crap!

The winner of Temptation will get Immunity, of course.
But that’s not all. They’ve been at Camp for over three weeks. How much would you love a break from Camp?

Win today and you get to spend the night away from Camp with the contestant of your choice from the other team!

Giggity giggity giggity!

They’ll be off for a night at one of the Headland Park Naval Cottages.

Silver Spoon will work like this. Chef will bring in a tempting dish and whichever contestant first grabs the silver spoon will have to eat the food and progress to the next stage. Each round lasts one minute and if neither competitor takes the spoon control will stay with the person who had it last and a new competitor will be chosen for them.
Whoever controls the Spoon at the end will win Temptation.

Ryan knows Immunity is gold at this stage and he will be going for it.
Lydia knows Ryan wants Immunity and she wants to make sure he doesn’t get it!

So who wants to be the fool to go up first? Three of the girls put their hands in the air but Lydia was first so she gets to have control to start with.
Lydia’s strategising like mad. She wants to ensure Ryan doesn’t get Immunity because she thinks he doesn’t deserve it.

So she thinks if she plays her cards right and leaves Ryan until the end she’ll only have to eat one meal to win.

Seriously? Are you that fucking thick? You really think someone like Hamish won’t take a punt? Or Margie? Someone won’t want YOU to have Immunity EITHER. Call Ryan up first, eat the meal, then hope for the best.

But no, she’s calling in Simon first. Simon gives her a kiss on the cheek before beginning. Gentlemanly manners and such! Simon thanks Lydia for inviting him first.

Crab cakes with garlic aioli and lemon is the first meal put in front of the contestants. Hayley says it looks delicious, right? Well it’s 457 calories.
Simon loves seafood. Lydia likes seafood too but the aioli is what’s tempting her.

Hayley will ring her little bell and the first person to grab the spoon will win the round.

Neither of them makes a move for the spoon but Lydia, whose dress is cleavagetastic, asks Simon if he thinks Ryan will have a go and he says yes. Lydia says she’s going to leave him till last and Simon says he thought she might!

Dingaling, nobody tempted. Lydia keeps the power of the spooooooooooooooon!

Lydia’s next opponent will be Graham. It’s a very green looking dish. Then Margie. Then Alex. Lydia’s flying through opponents!

Lydia then chooses Lisa. Lisa comes in and says she’s not surprised to see Lydia still there and she even knows what Lydia’s strategy will be – preventing one particular person from having it. Ryan, specifically!
Lisa doesn’t want Ryan to have Immunity because other people deserve it more.

Hayley then asks Lisa how much she wants to spend the night away with a member of the other team? Lisa has a giggle. She says she’s happy at Camp. She might lose focus if she goes away for the night.
OH REALLY. Who might she lose focus with, Hayley asks?
Hayley reckons she knows who it might be. A very gentlemanly fellow named Simon. Is she right?
“Possibly!”

When did Fat Camp turn into a girly slumber party? Geez!

Next meal is brought in for the ladies. Fresh Australian seafood, Campechana style. Spiced tomato water dressing. Only 240 calories, so it’s actually quite good.
Hayley tries to tempt Lisa by saying for 240 calories she could spend the night with Simon! It’s not about the food always, it’s about what it represents. “Hint. Hint.”

Lisa doesn’t take part!

Lydia picks Hamish next. That’s a mistake. A big mistake. Of everyone there he’s the most likely to buckle at Temptation.
Hamish is surprised to see Lydia still there.

Chef comes back in and unveils some seared scallops with sage nut butter.
Lydia just about has an orgasm at the mere sight. Scallops are her favourite seafood, she says.
376 calories. Not too bad, Lydia says to Hamish. But is it worth it, he replies.

Hamish says seeing Lydia sitting there like she’s chief of the game made him want to take it away from her. He wants Immunity himself!

DINGALING!

As soon as the bell rings Hamish grabs at the spoon and Lydia is shocked.

Really? Really? Just how stupid are you, Lydia? Crikey.

Hamish grabs the plate and tucks straight in while Lydia is asking him why. Hamish eats the first scallop and says it’s delicious!
Lydia asks Hamish if it’s because he doesn’t want Ryan to have Immunity either. Hamish gives her a wink and confirms it for us on the side. He says the boys have been talking about putting Ryan up for Elimination if it comes to that. So if he can help ensure that happens, he’ll do it.

Lydia wasn’t expecting Hamish to take part but she can understand the gameplay reason behind it.

Hamish, who will be your first opponent? Bek!
Bek’s very surprised that Hamish is there. It’s taken a while and she thought the girls would have had it by now.

Chef brings in another dish and it’s a sweet one. Raspberry panna cotta with home made honeycomb. Hamish gives him a high five.
439 calories!

Bek’s very tempted because it looks so very, very delicious.

First to grab the spoon gets to eat it.

Hamish is so determined to keep control that he knows he can’t let anyone else grab the spoon. Why he didn’t just call Ryan out straight away is beyond me. Just knock him over and you’re done!
Hamish apologises to Bek, she keeps asking him if he tastes good and Hamish says it tastes great!

Hamish is up to 815 calories so far. He’s worried about what Shannan will say but he needs Immunity to prove he can do something for himself, he says. How about not getting fatter?

Selena’s the next challenger. Wagyu salt beef reuben sandwich is the next meal on offer. 499 calories for this.
Selena says it’s been a while since she’s had beef like that and Hamish says it looks bloody delicious.

Both grab for the spoon but Hamish is much faster and gets there before Selena. Selena then tries to lecture him on having to work harder to work it off.
Oh? Like you weren’t grabbing for the spoon too, idiot.

Hamish is struggling a bit to get through the whole sandwich, it was quite a large one and on top of what he’s already eaten… He’s up to 1,314 calories now.
Two more people to go. He thinks he can only handle one more dish so he’s going to call out… Brian?
I think he meant Ryan but he said Brian!

Hamish knows Ryan will be his toughest challenge because he knows Ryan will go for it.

Chef brings out a seared beef fillet with duck fat chips.
Ryan reckons he could devour that in a couple of seconds, especially after nothing but orange food. So he thinks Immunity could be his.
559 calories for this dish.

Hamish is feeling stuffed but he knows he has to go to the end.

First to grab the spoon holds the power. Ryan’s staring into Hamish’s eyes and afraid Hamish will beat him to the spoon.

TOMORROW NIGHT. Nnnngh.

Of course if you’d been watching earlier in the episode you’d know Hamish faces Michelle, ergo he must beat Ryan. Anyway.

Then! SAMMY! Yay! And wow, she’s looking bloody fantastic. She’s obviously not only lost more weight since her finale but gotten a lot fitter, too.
Sammy breaks into tears at one point and says she wants to hug Graham and so she goes over and hugs him, much to other contestant’s delight.
When she was on the show she had a longterm boyfriend. Maybe she’s on the prowl again now? :-D

Then it’s time for a day on that sand dune from hell again. Looks like it’s going to be another long, gruelling challenge. And that’s always a lot of fun for us!
