TBL 7×13 – Elimination Elicits Alliance Agony!
Previously on The Biggest Loser… Biggest Brother Bunker Boogie!
The trainers had the spy cameras around Camp revealed to them and all the awful revelations that entailed. Contestants pigging out, lazing around and generally doing all the things that lead to them ending up on the show.
The weekly challenge kicked off. A very long slog through a muddy mess of an obstacle course. And surprising the girls have finished while the guys still struggle towards the finish line. Letting us down, boys!
Tonight! We find out whether Blue or Black will be going into the Weigh-In with a 2kg weight penalty.
Later, Tiff will blow a fuse at her slacking White Ninjas after seeing they’re not training when they should be.
But first, back to Hamish sliding down the slippery slide and into the water, followed by Luke and Shannan.
Black is just entering the mud pit/pool near the finish line with Steve wading into the mud beside them.
As we pick up the action Blue are still closing the gap with Black. Graham’s struggling at the end of the pool still, unable to get back to his feet and unable to roll himself free of the mud. A number of other contestants are standing around them at this point and Steve is screaming at Graham to get up and get onto the solid ground. A couple of the other contestants make a move to help him but everyone reminds them they can’t help.
Black finally get out of the end of the mudpit and set off in a shuffling fashion towards the finish line.
Blue are still struggling through the pool and Luke can tell he’ll have a hard time helping Hamish out of the mud. But surprisingly Hamish hasn’t quit yet and slowly commando crawls his way up out of the pool.
Meanwhile Black manage to finish the course and Graham is huffing and puffing and bent over double he’s so exhausted. He gets a big hug from Lisa and Margie and Alex are congratulating him. Then Steve comes up beside him and claps him on the shoulder and says he’s done really well. And he’s got to keep up that effort from now on, push through the pain.
Simon’s very proud of his teammate as well. Despite Graham’s injury he’s done very well for the team.
Hamish and Luke also manage to finish the course. Hamish tells us he knows the team could have done better but he’s still happy with the result because he actually finished a race for once!
Hayley then congratulates Red for winning. Lisa and Lydia showed grit and determination which will take them a long way in this game, yada yada yada!
Blue now have a 2kg penalty at the weigh-in but with their Team Immunity, that shouldn’t be a factor. Hayley doesn’t mention it but I would assume if any of them have gained weight that Immunity will go away!
Luke’s getting pretty fed up with Hamish’s slacking off, so he’d better get a good result at weigh-in or this could be a blow up!
Tiff and Shannan are in The Bunker and watching some training. Well, they’re watching Mish and Steve’s team working out. Their teams are nowhere to be seen!
Tiff is quite annoyed. Her team is supposed to be up at 5.30am and doing an hour and a half of cardio and particularly on weigh-in day, this is critical!
About an hour after they start watching one of Blue Team wanders in. Then a bit later, Hamish rolls in. Then five minutes after the rest of the team, Ryan! Biggest man at Camp and last to arrive for training.
Tiff’s getting more and more worked up as even Shannan’s entire team is in the gym at this point. Where’s her team?!
After an ad break Tiffiny is hauling ass to the White Team’s bedroom. When she arrives at their room Tiff pounds the crap out of the door. Wake up, wake up, time to train!
The girls know they’re in for a hard workout today since Tiff had to drag them out.
Tiff asks Kasey why she wasn’t training this morning – she felt sick. Awww. I mean, that sounds like an excuse, Kasey! Tiff tells them they’ve got to train every single morning or they’ll go home!
Selena, do you want to go home again? No! Tiff doesn’t believe her and asks again. She wants to be there!
But Tiff needs to change the diet. Selena says the diet doesn’t work for them, they don’t have enough energy because they’re not eating enough.
Tiff tells us that excuses aren’t going to save Selena’s life, healthy eating and exercise will. Now you’ve just got to convince them, Tiff!
Tiff asks Selena if she’s worried about weigh-in. Selena says she’s scared, scared the results won’t show on the scales. Tiff asks her if she’s trained every day? Yes. Been eating the healthy foods? Yes. Then Tiff is confident and has faith in her. She deserves the second chance and she’s shown that by her efforts since coming back.
Well, mostly. Don’t forget you rousted them out of bed for that session, Tiff!
Anyway, now it’s off to the Weigh-In Room. Hooray! Halfway through the episode. Guess we won’t be getting the Elimination result tonight…
Hayley reminds them all that they rise and fall on the efforts of their team. Has their team done enough, etc.
Today’s Weigh-In will be tough for three teams, Red, White and Black. Blue Team are safe from Elimination due to having Immunity.
They still have a 2kg penalty from losing at the Challenge but that shouldn’t matter.
Since Blue’s result is largely academic, they’ll weigh in first. And Ryan will be first onto the scales.
He says that having Immunity feels good but Shannan wants them above the Yellow Line regardless.
Ryan Previous: 221.5kg
Ryan Current: 214.2kg
Ryan Loss: 7.3kg
Not too bad a result from the big fella this week!
Ryan’s pleased, given the week he’s had. He knows his goal is still a ways off but he’s getting closer to getting under 200kg.
He’s not had a passion for life for a good ten years but with the help of Shannan and his team he’s rediscovering that.
Luke Previous: 133.2kg
Luke Current: 129kg
Luke Loss: 4.2kg
Hamish Previous: 140.5kg
Hamish Current: 136.7kg
Hamish Loss: 3.8kg
Blue Total: 15.3kg
Minus penalty: 13.3kg
Blue Percentage: 2.69%
Underwhelming results from both Luke and Hamish.
Black is the first team to weigh in for realsies. Alex is very confident!
Alex Previous: 146kg
Alex Current: 143.2kg
Alex Loss: 2.8kg
He’s disappointed. Alex has been heavily restricted in his workouts due to his achilles injury but he’s been trying his hardest. Steve says everyone will have their bad weeks. But Alex has got the okay to work on the spinbikes without the big boot. So that should be a good start.
Margie says Alex is one of the hardest workers in the house, he never stops working out. Hayley says he’s an inspiration to everyone else, a sentiment echoed by many of the other contestants. Awwww!
Simon Previous: 151.2kg
Simon Current: 147.3kg
Simon Loss: 3.9kg
Graham Previous: 193.2kg
Graham Current: 188.8kg
Graham Loss: 4.4kg
Black Total: 11.1kg
Black Percentage: 2.26%
Second place already. They’re in trouble if Blue’s beating them!
Graham’s happy with his number. A loss is a loss and all that. But he’d been hoping for a larger number.
His parents had a son before him but he only lasted a few hours in the world due to underdeveloped lungs and heart and “back in those days” they couldn’t do anything about that, he says. He’s worried his parents might lose another son but he thinks his family would be proud of his efforts in the Challenge this week.
Red Team needs to have lost 10.9kg to get above Black.
Margie Previous: 145.6kg
Margie Current: 141.7kg
Margie Loss: 3.9kg
Lisa Previous: 96kg
Lisa current: 94.3kg
Lisa Loss: 1.7kg
Not enough!
Brenda Previous: 110.4kg
Brenda Current: 108.3kg
Brenda Loss: 2.1kg
Brenda says it seems like a lot of work for such a small number but she’s put in a lot of work without too many tears so she’s a little disappointed.
Lydia will need at least 3.2kg to beat the Black Team. That should be doable. Margie did more than that.
Lydia looks terrified. She says nobody’s ready to go home. She hopes she’s worked hard enough!
Lydia Previous: 127.2kg
Lydia Current: 124.1kg
Lydia Loss: 3.1kg
Red Total: 10.8kg
Red Percentage: 2.25%
Also beaten by Blue. And as they’re now in 3rd place they’ll be facing Elimination. All that bitchiness about to come back and bite Margie and/or Lydia on the bum? Or will they sacrifice one of the nicer women in Lisa and Brenda?
Mish says Lydia and the others have done everything she’s asked them to do. She should be proud of her efforts, not sad.
Lydia still needs to be there because she can’t continue being the same person. She feels like she’s making progress but then she gets on the scales and it doesn’t seem enough.
Hayley tells her there’s three other people on her team and Lydia can’t carry the team by herself. She can only do what she can do.
Just the White Team to go. They need to lose at least 11.3kg to beat Black and stay safe from Elimination.
Michelle Previous: 100.4kg
Michelle Current: 97.5kg
Michelle Loss: 2.9kg
She’s quite pleased, as she should be. Under the 100kg mark! She says it’s really cool to see that figure up there.
And she’s learning she can do all this stuff. She’s not a quitter anymore!
Bek Previous: 117.7kg
Bek Current: 114.4kg
Bek Loss: 3.3kg
White needs just 5.1kg with two contestants remaining.
Selena believes she’s done the work required. Tiff’s face says VERY CLEARLY that she doesn’t believe a word of it!
Selena Previous: 156.5kg
Selena Current: 149.5kg
Selena Loss: 7kg
WOW.
White Total So Far 13.2kg.
So unless Kasey has gained weight, they’re safe!
Selena has proven she deserves the second chance, Tiff tells her. She tells us that Selena’s weightloss is proof the diet is working and if Selena stops the excuses she’ll turn her life around.
Kasey Previous: 122.6kg
Kasey Current: 118.4kg
Kasey Loss: 4.2kg
White Total: 17.4kg
White Percentage: 3.5%
First place! Big turn around from White Team this week.
Black and Red will now face Elimination. Who are they going to pick to face Elimination?
Everyone but those teams, get out!
Alex is insistent he can do it on the outside and that Simon and Graham can’t so despite Simon not having a great week, Alex seems like he’ll be up?
Red? Margie or Brenda, Margie says. Lisa’s not an option, presumably because of her sons? Margie says to Brenda the White Team wouldn’t vote her out. Apparently they’ve got an alliance with the White Team. White won’t vote Red, Red won’t vote White.
Alex is going to face Elimination. He’s lost the least amount of weight and that was the deal they made.
Brenda for Red. She thinks she’d have a better chance with some alliances in play than some of the stronger people in her team. Meaning the evil bitchfaces of Lydia and Margie!
Hayley welcomes White and Blue to the Elimination Room and tells them the fate of the older contestants is in the hands of the youngers.
White have some glum looks on their faces when they see it’s Brenda. Ryan looks upset by it being… I don’t know? Alex? Brenda?
Michelle wasn’t expecting to see Alex and Brenda up. Alex lightens the mood for everyone and Brenda’s like a mother figure. Awww!
Brenda knows she still needs to be there. She can’t do it on the outside. She couldn’t do it for love or to have children or her family. So she needs to do this!
Alex needs to be there because if he’s not he’ll be dead in two years. They just buried his Mum two years ago and he doesn’t want to burden his brother or sister. He’s at the age where it’s now or never for him.
Time to cast your votes, peeps!
First to four goes home.
Bek’s first to vote. She has lots of respect and love for Brenda. She hopes to have the same zest and passion for life Brenda has and Alex? Alex inspires her every day, working hard even through injury, proving it can be done. It’s a difficult decision and she’s voted for…
BRENDA!!!
Oh-hooooooooo! Alliance shmalliance! You can see the shock in Brenda’s eyes as she realises she actually is in trouble here, not safe like she’d assumed.
Red might be reaping what they’ve sown, here!
Luke’s next. He says they’ve become a huge family and he’s been selfish with his decision, choosing to base his vote on who inspires him the most. And the person he’s voted for hasn’t been inspirational.
Also Brenda!
Brenda’s got a real hollow look in her eyes now. Regretting not insisting Margie go up, are we?
Kasey’s next in line. She says she’s voting with her heart and has voted for Alex because she’s closer with Brenda.
Hamish’s turn. Come on, vote out the bully!
Hamish is voting more to keep someone in the house than to kick someone out. He hopes the person he’s voted for respects his decision.
He’s voted for… Brenda!
Brenda looks fucking TERRIFIED. It’s all coming undone!
Michelle’s up next and she says she’s close to both of them. Alex is the only other one from Victoria and she respects him like a father. Brenda’s been an inspirational woman and Michelle respects her.
She has to vote for someone, though. She’s choosing who she’s closest with in the house.
So she’s voted for Alex!
This brings it to two for Alex, three for Brenda.
Ryan’s turn now. He says it’s a hard decision but he’s gone with his head. He’s not voted for the person because of them, he’s voted for them because he sees them as the strongest team and he needs to get rid of a member of that team to give them a better chance.
So, having said that, he’s voted for BRENDA!
No need to see Selena’s vote, Brenda’s going home!
Brenda’s feeling disappointed but has no regrets. She knows she’s leaving too soon. She thinks she’s leaving more because Alex inspires everyone in the house.
NOPE, nobody likes Red!
Brenda’s learned that she still cries a lot. But four years ago she wouldn’t’ve been able to put herself through all this, so she’s learned that she’s actually strong and she doesn’t care what people think about her.
Brenda’s lost 12.5kg in her time at Camp and Hayley says she should be very proud of herself. Brenda says she’ll see them all at Finale.
Time to say your goodbyes, Brenda! Now I don’t have to keep getting confused by you and Lydia because I have a stupid brain!
4 weeks later, Brenda’s lost another 10kg and she’s looking quite a bit better. And her outside personal trainer looks, sounds and works her as hard as Mish, which Brenda thinks is great!
Before being on the show she was sad and had no direction. She can see the desperation in her eyes in her audition video. But she’s not going back to that!
Meanwhile, back at Camp, Hayley is congratulating the people in the Elimination Room for surviving another week at Camp Biggest Loser.
But this isn’t the time to rest on your laurels. The game is about to change!
“You might think you know how The Biggest Loser is played but everything is about to be turned on its head.”
She’ll leave that thought with them while they go off and try to sleep. Seems Hayley’s bringing back some of Ajay’s evil!
Tomorrow night the girls “secret voting alliance” is revealed to all, with Red going on the attack after White’s “betrayal”.
Then… this week you’re competing as two teams. Boys versus girls!
Should be fun watching White and Red trying to work together after the Elimination!
There’ll also be a Contest this week. Which clearly isn’t fair because girls have an advantage at that. They’ll have to put up double if they want in!
