TBL 7×10 – Elimination! It’s not always Black and White, but it is this time.
Previously on The Biggest Loser they didn’t bloody tell us who’s getting eliminated, damn it!
Red won the challenge, Mish blew a fuse at Brenda’s constant whinging and the contestants weighed in. White and Black end up facing Elimination.
Tonight! Michelle and Shane are facing Elimination with the first to four votes being sent home. To die of being fat. If you believe the claims of some of them, in spite of the evidence to the contrary every finale!
The Biggest Loser Big Brother spy cams are revealed to the trainers tonight, but will they be kept a secret from the contestants?
Also, a Face Your Fears challenge with the contestants having to do a spot of public speaking about the challenges they’re facing… or something.
But first, we’re back in the Elimination Room. Listening to all the crap we listened to last night. Just get to the voting!
Lydia has to vote first this time. She’s voting with her head and she’s worried it’s going to haunt her for a long time. She’s voted for… Shane!
Ryan’s up next. He found the decision hard, he considers them both friends but he can’t live with voting one of them off. So he’s voted for Michelle!
One each!
Lisa didn’t want to vote, voting with her head, what will keep her there longer. Yep, another vote for Shane.
No good crying about it, Lisa. Has to be done.
Luke’s voted with his heart. He’s made a connection with one of them and the other person could have been anyone. He’s voted for Michelle.
Two each!
Brenda’s bonded with one more than the other and so she’s voted for Shane.
Shane now has 3 votes. One more will send him home.
Hamish next. He loves them both but he’s voting with his head and has voted for Shane.
Awww, byebye Shane!
Ryan’s in tears and Shane says it’s the first time he’s seen tears from Ryan. And he should be crying for himself.
Shane says the job of the people voting should never be easy. Complacency is their biggest threat, not any individual.
Shane’s going to miss seeing everyone transform and them seeing him transform. But look out at finale!
Hayley says you don’t see a lot people with integrity and honour these days but she’s seen a lot of people play the game and he has integrity and she wishes him the best of luck. Awwwww. Hayley’s got a hitch in her voice as she says goodbye. Awwwwwwwwwwwww!
Montage!
4 weeks on… Shane’s looking pretty good and says he has lots of energy for playing with his son now. And he’s still on the nicorette patches and working out lots. And his diet has changed a lot, he’s eating a lot of good vegetables and tuna and stuff now.
He’s lost 23kg in total so I guess his weightloss slowed down a little on the outside but he’s still losing weight, so good for him!
After the Elimination White and Black are sitting in Loser Lounge waiting for the others to return.
Eventually everyone files back in. Graham tells us he’d be devastated if Shane’s gone home because he’s been like a brother to Graham.
Prepare for devastation!
Michelle comes back in, much to the relief of White. Graham’s face goes straight into his hand and the other Black Team members look pretty depressed.
Red all voted for Shane. So did Hamish, he voted head over heart and Alex is pretty unimpressed at that revelation.
Graham says the Black Team are like brothers and they’re going to keep going, even though they’re down to three now. So watch out.
The trainers rock up to Camp for the day’s training but instead of heading for a gym Hayley heads them off and asks them to come to the Weigh-In Room. Why? For a progress report on their teams.
They should be training hard and sticking to their diets, right? Mish says she certainly hopes so!
Hayley says she knows they can’t be there 24/7 but for the first time they’re going to be able to keep an eye on their teams at all times.
“The contestants, this year, are always being watched!” Bit of trainer glee comes out at that announcement. Shannan is chuffed, “No more lies!”
Cameras in the hallway, cameras in the loungeroom, in the dining room, in the kitchen, in the cool room and of course in the gym!
Nothing is being missed by the cameras.
Mish says she can see this getting very ugly!
They all still have grins on their faces though.
Shannan’s team struggled in the first week. This is why!
Where’s your team, Shannan? Sitting around instead of being in the gym. And raiding the cool room.
Ryan grabs an entire packet of ham and wolfs it down in the dining room. Then a packet of turkey. Shannan is pleased to see Ryan’s got a knife and fork for the turkey.
Then Ryan’s got ANOTHER PACKET OF HAM.
I love ham and turkey but come on, man. You’re at Camp Biggest Loser and you’re the biggest contestant ever!
Shannan now knows why Ryan’s losses haven’t been up to scratch. There’s a lot of footage of him lazing around in the lounge room on top of the gorging.
Mish isn’t being left out of the fun. Should we take a look? Oh yes!
Margie’s first, pigging out on sandwiches. At one point she’s eating a cheese sandwich in the kitchen. Then Lydia’s coming, so she hides the sandwich under the counter and casually chats to Lydia.
Mish is SHOCKED. As are the other trainers. Though Shannan’s looking a little gleeful since it’s not just his team making a pig of themselves.
Lydia wanders off and so Margie scoots down, grabs the sandwich and continues eating it out of sight.
Mish says that’s disturbing. It’s all subterfuge and trickery and that’s not a good sign.
Hayley says this is just the tip of the spy network.
Tiff grabs her belly in discomfort.
Hayley has another surprise for them. Want to see what it is? Tiff hesitantly answers yes, as does Shannan. Mish points out on their way out the door that she didn’t actually say yes!
Hayley leads the trainers way off into the dark depths of Camp Biggest Loser to… THE BUNKER!
There they have a big set of surveillance TVs set up. It has all the spy cameras feeding in there all the time, but none of the contestants even know the room exists.
Dude, I’d so be exploring everywhere in that place. Old military bases are cool!
Anyway, Hayley says that they want The Bunker to remain a secret from the contestants and they’re all happy to go along with that. Steve says that’s really the only rule they need to make. Mish says it’s their secret weapon.
Steve says he and Tiff can use this opportunity to work out who’s been eliminated. Sneaky bugger!
Tiff can see two of her ladies in the lounge room, and Steve has two of his dudes in the lounge.
Simon’s sitting in between two of the Red ladies with an arm around each. Awwwww yeahhhhhhh.
After The Bunker Mish sneaks down to the fridge to see what’s in there and is a bit surprised at some of the things she finds. Like the Diet Chocolate Mousses, which aren’t on her diet sheet. So she grabs them right up.
And gives them to me? Please? Pretty please? Delicious!
Then Mish notices a whole bunch of cheese as well! So she’s gathering all that up… but then she realises she really needs to trust Margie with the cheese. Old habits die hard and all. She’s not expecting 100% perfection but she’s not going to tell her peeps that!
And as she leaves the fridge she pops back in for a second and waves happily at the hidden camera. Because she’s a dork!
Steve’s got his men off for training. He asks them how they decided on putting Shane up and they say he volunteered. And Steve isn’t cranky with them, just says that now the extra burden to perform falls on them and so they have to focus on their training and nutrition and they’ll do well.
After training Mish and Shannan have a surprise for them. Mish says they look like wrecks! Shannan says they STINK! So they need to go have a shower, clean up, put on their Sunday bests. Mish suggests the boys do their hair and makeup.
Because they’re going out on the town. Wooo!
They’re at “The Concourse”? It’s a theater in Chatswood.
The contestants file into an auditorium for Hayley to step out into the spotlight and announce there’s going to be a show. And they’re going to be in it.
Bek’s worried what she might have to do, she doesn’t have a talent. She has nothing she can perform.
BEHAVE.
Hayley says it’s said there’s two things in life people fear – death and public speaking.
In a little while the theater will be packed with people wanting to hear their stories. The audience will be people who’re also struggling with their weight.
Hayley suggests they be honest and the rewards will be well worth it. It’ll boost their self confidence and that’s important in the weeks ahead.
But don’t worry, their trainers are there to help them through this. I guess by this stage most of the trainers are getting used to speaking in public. Except maybe Commando Steve, who usually just stands there stoically.
Tiff says most of the contestants were a little nervous but Kasey was completely freaking out at the very idea of speaking in front of a bunch of people.
Kasey’s worried she won’t be able to do it at all. Tiff gives her a hug and a talking to. She doesn’t want to do it, everyone staring at her. Not being able to do the things she wants to do like having a partner.
She’s never done any public speaking before and she’s scared. Tiff is surprised because Kasey’s pretty strong and outgoing in training but with this she’s struggling a lot?
Tiff tells her this is the most important part of their journey, forget the exercise and eating right now, getting all the emotions out of her and talked about. Tiff can rip the weight off Kasey but when she gets out she’ll just put it back on because the feelings will still be there.
Tiff is worried Kasey won’t be able to do it.
Shannan wants to see the real Hamish on stage. The 20 year old guy with a big weight problem.
Hamish’s first attempt isn’t convincing at all, talking about missing out on life and fun. Shannan’s going to nudge him along. Wants Hamish to tell him his life story, touch his heart. Talk about how he used to get bashed and bullied for being overweight. How he went to five different schools trying to get away from the bullying.
Every morning he’d wake up worrying he’d get bashed. Shannan says he knew he’d get bashed and Hamish says yes. One time he got into a fight and he had to have two weeks off school because of his injuries. Shannan’s much more pleased with that real talk, talk between two blokes. He’s got a chance to change people’s perception of bullying and the effect it has on people in the long term.
Unfortunately, Shannan, bullies don’t give a shit. If they did, they wouldn’t be doing it in the first place. Silly boy.
Alex is the first to step onto stage. Talking about being married at 25 and divorced 8 years later. That’s when the drinking and eating started and everything just went downhill from there, to the point where he’s struggling getting up in the morning and getting in the shower. He hasn’t gone to a concert or sporting event in ages because he can’t even climb the stairs. Can’t go on planes for embarassment over having to ask for a seatbelt extension.
Then one day his sister asked him if he’d like to go on The Biggest Loser and he said sure, why not, give it a go. Then not much after that he finds out he’s going to have Commando Steve as his boss, he’ll be in the Black Team.
Commando taught him not to give up and since then he hasn’t. In the last two weeks he’s lost sixteen kilos!
Steve has a big grin on his face at Alex’s story. Awww!
Margie’s turn next. She says in one year she put on 48kg. She knows it’s hard to believe with that beautiful body…
Sorry, just threw up in my mouth a little.
She had to give up surfing due to her weight. She used to go four to five times a week. She couldn’t go shopping because she couldn’t cope with it anymore. Felt she was a waste of space so she mostly just stayed home.
Ryan’s the next out. He starts out by announcing he’s got the dubious honour of being the largest contestant ever on the show in any country. On trains little kids point at him and ask their parents why he’s so fat. People will come up to him and ask why he hasn’t bought two tickets. To be fair, they’re being generous – he weighs as much as three regular people so he should really be buying three tickets.
Ryan says food’s a drug, he’s a foodaholic, the usual excuses. He doesn’t care what he eats, he eats it and is happy for ten to fifteen seconds and then waiting for the next hit. He says he’s got maybe five years left, he can’t go on like that, it’s too hard.
Lisa! She was pregnant at 21. Put on 30kg with that pregnancy, lost a little bit, got pregnant again and put on more weight, lost a little bit after. Then pregnant a third time and put on… the rest!
Then four years ago her youngest son died. :(
Mish is struggling to hold back the tears already.
Lisa says it’s hard to deal with that, she’s still not really dealing with it. Her life just fell into a routine of existence. Go to work, come home, deal with the kids, sleep, do it again. She’s done that for four years and the weight just kept piling on. Until now she’s at the heaviest she’s ever been and she’s realised her son wouldn’t want her to live like that, so it’s time to do something about it!
Simon says he loved every second of being married. Woke up one morning and his wife says she can’t do this anymore. She can’t be married to him anymore. Why not? Because he’s fat! Most devastating moment of his life.
Hamish’s turn. He’s actually managing to look quite small on that huge stage.
Hamish says his school life consisted mostly of mental and physical bullying. He never did P.E. (Physical Education) for fear of the bullying and harassment. So he never learned that team spirit thing, he didn’t have a normal education. He wishes he could turn the clock back and enjoy that instead.
He’s been struggling in the last two weeks at Camp but he knows what he’s doing will lead to a fire in his belly that will get him to feeling proud of himself.
Graham says he came on the show to lose weight, obviously, but he also wants to find a girlfriend finally. He’s never had one, if you hadn’t already discovered that. Guess he’s heard good things?
Man, he’s going to be so disappointed when he finds out women are all awful!
Kasey’s still freaking out as she gets to the side of the stage. But she’s going to walk out there. Go Kasey go!
Kasey’s got a horse named Santa. Don’t ask her about the name. She doesn’t ride him anymore. She felt like she was too big to ride him anymore. She wants to be under 100kg when she leaves the house so she can get back to horse riding.
Then she says that’ll about do her and she almost runs off stage!
Michelle’s on stage next and has to hide her face in her hands and collect herself. And someone from the crowd calls out, “Go Michelle!”
Michelle asks them who wants to be lonely. Her weight holds her back so much. She wants to get married and have kids and a house and a dog. But it’s frustrating and she’s working hard now because she’s just completely over it. Become the best person she can be.
One of the passions she’s been too scared to pursue is singing so, if the crowd wouldn’t mind, she’ll sing a song for them. Applause!
She’s dedicating the song to all the people struggling with their weight and the people who think it’s easy, just stop eating? It’s not that easy!
Michelle then belts out a pretty decent rendition of Amazing Grace. Hell of a lot better than bloody Amanda in past seasons, that’s for sure. Don’t know if she could really make a career out of it but she could certainly liven up some pubs and clubs around the country instead of the bloody pokies!
Michelle gets a standing ovation from the crowd when she’s done. Yay!
After that it’s all over for the public speaking and Hayley has them backstage. She announces that because they’ve done so well, Hayley has a little surprise for them.
Tomorrow night an emotional reward for the contestants. Letters from home, perhaps?
Lydia’s letter causes her to have a breakthrough in training, much to Mish’s delight!
Then, in The Bunker, the trainers watch as the contestants are tempted with a bunch of food delivered right to their rooms for Temptation.
It’s another lockdown, twelve hours alone with a bunch of deliciously tempting treats. And going by the trainers’ reactions? Some of them are going to partake!
