TBL 6×48: MORE BALLS. And a stunning result at the weigh-in…
Previously on The Biggest Loser the super hot Lara came back, hooray!
The returnees faced off in three rounds of putting basketball eggs in baskets. The final round is Lara versus Nathaniel.
Which is where tonight picks up!
Also tonight another weigh-in looms and Elimination comes with an extra twist of some kind. Looks like the two below the Yellow Line will have to compete to stay in the game? Or maybe the two returnees? I dunno.
I’ll find out and write it down somewhere or other…
Lara and Nathaniel are running back and forth with their balls. Taking balls from the opposition and putting them on their own racks.
Lara’s got speed on her side, she says. Nathaniel’s just trying to keep up to start with because he knows it’ll be hard to beat her.
Joe is emphasising his proudness of Nathaniel. Enunciating it very clearly!
Lara’s starting to struggle. Carrying two balls to Nathaniel’s 4 or 5 balls. Not going to get it done.
Lara drops one ball off her rack and Leigh has to call for her to get it back. At one point she gets frustrated and slams a ball into the ground but Leigh’s still calling for her to keep going, she can do this! Run, etc!
Leigh’s giving her tough love, he says, and it’s hard. But it’s her future in the game that’s riding on this.
Lara’s really struggling with 1 minute to go. And she’s down to no balls just before the end and she only manages to put three on there before the end.
So Lara’s out and Nathaniel gets to stay. Awww mannnnn.
Lara says the reality sets in and she says to Leigh that she failed him. Awww, no you didn’t!
Lara’s having trouble breathing as she freaks out more and more. The medic has to come over and look after her. Trying to get her to calm down and breathe slowly. Trying to get her to stop spiralling out of control. Not fun, not fun at all!
Lara tells us she felt like she let Leigh down. It’s not a pressure he’s put on her, it’s a pressure she’s put on herself.
Leigh says to us that he doesn’t feel like she let him down at all. It doesn’t matter if you fail it’s how you pick yourself back up.
Lara says in her time back at Camp she’s learned that Leigh is amazing. He’s the man she wants to be with. Awwwwwwwwww!
Say goodbye again Lara.
Lara tells us she’d love it if Leigh wins the whole thing but at the end of the day they’ve already won.
Steve’s got his team training in the shed again. The focus is on Rebecca today as the other two have Immunity and Rebecca will be facing off against Nathaniel and Emma, both of whom ought to flog her and I’m sure Steve would have said that before he got infected by all the girl germs!
Rebecca says she’s learned so much on the outside about herself and she’s strong now and she’s determined. Steve has her doing squats with a medicine ball and shouting why she deserves to be there.
Kellie says Rebecca’s like a machine now and she’ll do whatever she needs to do to make it to the Final Four.
Michelle’s focusing on Nathaniel. Nathaniel thinks he can get back into Camp. He didn’t think he could do it yesterday but his mind has been changed by his victory yesterday.
His victory over A GIRL. Ha!
Mish says that Nate would fall apart before with anxiety and so on and hearing that it was Joe who talked him around was a surprise to her, but a pleasant one.
Michelle takes Joe aside to thank him for talking Nathaniel around. Joe says having confidence in himself is a big thing and Nathaniel’s not been there as long and Joe’s changed a lot since last they were together.
Nathaniel says that Joe has changed a lot and they’re growing closer. They give each other a high five with the boxing gloves!
Tiffiny’s got Emma on the treadmill and reminding her of when she never used to run at all and now she’s running brilliantly.
Yesterday she came first at the challenge which makes Tiff proud but also makes Emma a target again.
Tiffiny’s working out every part of Emma’s body today. Lots of upper and lower body work and a lot of intensity.
Body’s only as strong as the mind so Tiffiny’s got her to shout a lot of positive things while she’s working out.
Tiffiny says Emma’s fitness is great but now she wants to take Emma somewhere to make sure that her mind is in the right place. She takes her out to North Head to offload the mental burdens.
She wants to make sure Emma’s mind is strong so she doesn’t freak out like Lara. If she wants to continue in the competition past this Elimination she needs to be strong. It won’t be her body that lets her down, it’ll be her mindset.
Emma’s gotten stronger mentally on the outside by resisting temptations. At Camp she has Tiffiny to yell at her!
Emma says she feels a lot better after her chat with Tiffiny and she knows she’s put in 110%, which is all she can do.
Really? If you’ve given more than 100% why not give an even more impossible amount of effort? For shame!
Time for Weigh-In!
Hayley congratulates the people who’ve made it so far in the game. And reminds them they have Immunity while new threats have appeared.
Emma, Nathaniel and Rebecca will face off in the weigh-in. One of them will lose the most weight by percentage and will be straight back into the game.
Two of them will fall below the Yellow Line and will be up for Elimination.
First to weigh in are those with Immunity, starting with Sarah.
Sarah’s worried due to being on the Sydney to Hobart thing this week.
Sarah Previous: 108.9kg
Sarah Current: 106.4kg
Sarah Loss: 2.5kg
Sarah Percentage: 2.3%
Dang, was hoping she was the one who put on weight.
She’s planning on joining the police force after exiting. She wants to shine now. Nothing will stop her!
Leigh Previous: 80kg
Leigh Current: 78.5kg
Leigh Loss: 1.5kg
Leigh Percentage: 1.88%
Enough to stay safe, not enough to beat Sarah? Tsk tsk tsk.
Leigh says it was great seeing Lara again, especially with her looking so very, very hot.
He says they used to feed their worst behaviour and they were killing each other and their relationship. And now? Leigh’s thinking they should go on a holiday somewhere. And then maybe something else in the future. Like a ring!
Leigh says he’d’ve married Lara before, she’s definitely The One. But it would have been for the wrong reasons before, now they’re both stronger and fitter.
Kellie Previous: 88.9kg
Kellie Current: 86kg
Kellie Loss: 2.9kg
Kellie Percentage: 3.26%
Wow, a Moon in first place?!
Also… DOES THIS MEAN JOE GAINS WEIGHT?!
Kellie wants to be in the Final Four. She thought she already was but now she’s fired up and will be staying there!
Joe Previous: 90.7kg
Joe Current: 90.8kg
Joe GAIN: 0.1g
Joe Percentage GAIN:
Joe has been stripped of Immunity!
Unless two other contestants also gain weight he will be facing Elimination!!!
Everyone is STUNNED. Especially Michelle.
Joe’s annoyed because he’s never been below the Yellow Line. Mish says 100g is nothing.
Joe’s pretty sure he’ll be going home because he’s been a wanted man from day one. (Because you’ve been a dick since day one!)
Joe wants to go home and see his family but the other guys in the house have become like family to him too. But he thanks Michelle anyway for changing his life.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Okay, I’m done. Time to get on with the rest of the weigh-in.
Nathaniel, Rebecca and Emma are now going to weigh-in to see who gets that coveted spot back in the game.
Rebecca Previous: 83.1kg
Rebecca Current: 78.8kg
Rebecca Loss: 4.3kg
Rebecca Percentage: 5.17%
She was home the previous week though so it’s not so surprising she lost so much.
But she’s super excited to be in the 70s! She says she’s never been in the 70s before or at least not since primary school. Crikey, that’s a fat kid! She’s done well to turn it around after being heavy that long!
Sarah crosses the floor, as does Kellie, to give her a kiss and a hug. And even Steve cracks a smile!
Emma Previous: 84.2kg
Emma Current: 79.7kg
Emma Loss: 4.5kg
Emma Percentage: 5.34%
Emma is now above the Yellow Line and back into the competition. Tiffiny seems extremely excited to have a ninja back!
Emma’s now up to 54.2kg of total loss. She’s in the 70s and over 50kg in the same week.
Last but not least, Nathaniel. Nathaniel will need at least 4.8kg to stay safe from Elimination. And to not face off against Joe in Elimination. BWAHAHAHA. Go Nate go!
Nathaniel Previous: 91.5kg
Nathaniel Current: 88.4kg
Nathaniel Loss: 3.1kg
Nathaniel Percentage: 3.39%
OH. DELICIOUS IRONY. Nathaniel will now face Elimination alongside Joe. Michelle is horrified.
Nate says he’s trained harder than he ever has before and 3.1kg is a good number, so it’s hard to be too disappointed.
Mish is still happy, despite this being a worst case scenario, because the two boys have a relationship now that is better than they’ve ever had before.
Emma gets congratulated for being the Biggest Loser of the week but that’s a little unfair since she had a week off…
Rebecca and Emma are now both back in the hunt for the title.
Hayley then announces that Elimination won’t be taking place in the Elimination Room. The pair of them will be going head to head in an Elimination Challenge. See you soon on the paradeground.
As they head out of the weigh-in room Shannan’s got an arm slung over Michelle’s shoulder. Awwww!
As they head out onto the paradeground Joe knows he’s between a rock and a hard place. He has to compete to keep his place but it’s against his nephew.
Now’s the time to win the audience back, Joe. Throw the challenge. Let the boy win. Then everyone in your family will ultimately have been eliminated at least once each. Hooray!
Three rounds in the challenge.
First round? Hold a medicine ball above your head for as long as you can. First to buckle, loses.
Joe and Nathaniel take their positions on the blocks and raise their balls above their heads. Individually. Single ball. Above each of their heads.
Ahem.
Poker face, Nate! Sarah’s calling out encouragement to Nathaniel.
Nathaniel’s trying not to think about the medicine ball. He’s looking at rocks on the ground and naming them.
Three and a half minutes and they’re still going! Joe’s making faces as is Nathaniel. Nate’s arms start wobbling but Joe’s arms are bent.
Joe thinks he’s mentally stronger than Nathaniel and he’s wondering how long he’s going to have to hold it up for Nathaniel to give up.
Five minutes and Joe is starting to struggle a lot. His arms are slowly dipping downwards and trembling and he keeps pulling faces.
And then all of a sudden… One of them puts down their ball. But we don’t get to see which as it’s time for an ad break!
After the ad break we see that it’s… Joe who caves in first! Excellent!
Nathaniel holds his ball up a little bit longer and then puts it down.
Joe heads to the next station and Leigh goes over to congratulate him on a job well done.
Next station is rowing machines. Joe’s always beating Nathaniel at it so Nate’s not expecting a win here.
First to row 1km, wins!
Last time Leigh saw Joe row 1km was in the pyramid of fitness, where Joe won over everyone else.
Joe’s trying to stick to Nathaniel’s distance and not wear himself out at the start then catch him at the end.
They’re level pegging at the 200m mark. Nathaniel thinks this is good for him.
Go Nate go!
Both get to the halfway mark around the same time as well, with Nate just in the lead. And Joe’s finding it hard to catch back up.
Go Nate go!
Nathaniel’s giving it everything he’s got and is just ahead as they tick over to 790m. Last 200m. It’s 7.30pm though. Must be time to cut to… TOMORROW NIGHT?
No, they’re still rowing. Joe’s trying to catch up still, he’s pulling hard…
TOMORROW NIGHT! On The Biggest Loser, the fight continues! Who’ll win their way out of the Elimination dilemma they’ve found themselves in?
Also, Dr Swan returns to update their Bio Age things. Causing Michelle to utter an, “Oh. Em. Gee.”
I wonder if she also “El Oh El”s?
There’s also another super challenge on the horizon… and one of the remaining contestants will be going home after that.
Final week of the competition. Exciting!
