TBL 6×47: BALLS.
Previously on The Biggest Loser all the eliminated contestants weighed in, once again, but this time in a showdown to see who’ll get to return to Camp Biggest Loser.
In the end Lara, Rebecca, Nathaniel and Emma won the right to come back to Camp.
Tonight they’ll begin facing off against each other to decide who actually gets to stay!
But first, footage we saw last night. Hooray!
As they look out at the boat again they’re trying to work out who’s on the boat and they think one might be Lisa… and then someone says oh, that’s Lara! Leigh boggles. As she comes off the boat Leigh says she looks like a Bond girl. She looks hot!
Hayley then explains where the Trainers have been.
Kellie can tell Joe and Sarah are threatened by the return of the contestants.
Now they can say hello to the returning people. Lara bounces across the sand and into Leigh’s arms. Awwww.
Joe and Nate actually have a hug. Joe’s hoping that they can rebuild some bridges as they’re family, after all.
Tiff’s super excited to have a ninja back!
Lara and Leigh are standing on the beach together holding hands. But yes, of course, they’re totally not in love anymore, right rumourmongers?
Hayley then says four of them are back but not all of them will be here for long.
Two of them will be going home and two will be coming back into the Competition. Over the next few days two of the returnees will be going home as a result of a couple of Challenges.
The first elimination will happen as part of a Challenge tomorrow.
Then as the existing contestants will have Immunity at the next weigh-in the three remaining returnees will also weigh-in, with another one of them eliminated as a result.
Not sure when the weights will be recorded from. Family weigh-in or Day One?
Tiffiny’s still excited when she gets Emma back into the dojang. And the only way to keep Emma in the game is to get back to training like a warrior. “I AM A WARRIOR!!!” Etc.
Tiffiny says Emma’s very fit in training and Emma says she’s been training at least four hours a day. And she’s going to win the Challenge. AND the weigh-in, she says. Tiffiny is very, very pleased by Emma’s progress from where she started out.
Rebecca’s in the bedroom of the Blacks again and they’ve got a bunch of their luxuries back, apparently. They say they’ve earned them back? How? By not losing much weight every week? Hmmm.
Rebecca says it’s been hard on the outside, but she’s got to spend time with her family again. Yay!
Sarah’s sure Rebecca can get back into the game and she’ll be happy if she makes it. But there’s some strong competition from the others…
Lara’s off for training with Leigh and Shannan. Lara’s feeling a little intimidated because Leigh looks super fit and she’s not sure she’ll be able to keep up.
Lara starts crying once she gets onto the bike. She’s not sure she can do this again now. It’s been hard on the outside for her, too. She’ll be standing in front of the cupboard and there’ll be chips or biscuits in there and she’ll have some and then feel guilty about it.
She’s not happy about having to tell Shannan about the binge but she knows he needs to know everything.
Shannan says Lara’s been the fittest and strongest and she had one bad week and ended up eliminated.
Shannan tells her that he never said she’d be perfect, he’s not perfect. You mess up, but you pick yourself back up and get on with it.
Lara tells us Shannan gave her two options – give up and go back to the old Lara or get going and claim a spot back in the competition.
Time to train!
But Leigh says that first he has to do something. He whips off his black singlet and picks up a Blue singlet. He was the odd one out with Shannan and Lara both in their Blues.
Shannan’s got them set up on spinbikes opposite each other for some healthy competition. It brings the best out in both of them, he says.
Lara says every part of her body hurts in training but she’s ready for it again.
Lara and Leigh move to the rowing machines and they both get to 200m and both seem to be fine but Shannan kneels down beside Lara and is just starting to talk about the Challenge when she lets go of the handles and stops.
Lara says her head is full of self doubt and she can’t keep up with Leigh anymore. Shannan says he won’t let her quit. She can’t stop till she gets to 500m.
She’s in tears but she manages to keep rowing while Leigh and Shannan urge her on.
Lara’s pretty broken afterwards and Shannan’s worried. Everyone else is on their game, she says, but she’s just not.
Leigh tells us that Lara was their rock before but now he’s going to have to be hers. She has to stay in the game to finish the change in her life.
Rebecca’s working out with the Commando and the other girls. She says her worst equipment at Camp was the treadmill because she just wasn’t a runner before.
So Steve’s going to have them wrap up on the treadmill today.
Rebecca’s said she’s going to show Steve what she’s made of now she’s back. It’s the least she can do for what he’s done for her.
She says her legs and lungs are burning on the treadmill but she’s just going to keep running.
Steve says she’s turned the corner from the girl who wouldn’t run before. It was a weakness but she’s worked on it.
Now she just has to fight tooth and nail to get back into the competition.
Now Michelle has Nathaniel and Joe in the gym. She’s going to try and get them to resolve the issues between the two of them. Nathaniel left on a sour note as Joe threw him under the bus last time.
Joe says he wants to build a bridge between them and Nathaniel says he’s prepared to wipe the slate clean and start over.
He doesn’t sound at all convincing when she says it though. So I think he’s saying it for Michelle’s benefit only!
She’s very pleased by Nate and Joe’s early efforts on the cross trainers, then it’s time for the rowing machines for the Reds too.
Mish is trying to get them to compete with each other on the rowing machines but very early on Joe’s butt slips off the seat, giving Nate a chance to take a good lead.
But Joe’s going to dig deep and try to catch back up. Presumably by trying to gurn his way to victory.
But he doesn’t make it! Nathaniel beats him in the end. As Michelle gets more and more excited towards the end of the race. Vocally excited. Giggity!
Nathaniel’s getting in some boxing training with Michelle and she’s impressed by how much his form has improved since he started. He’s punching like a man, now!
Michelle says they’ve done well afterwards and as Nate stands there panting she asks how he is. He manages to yelp out a “Yep! Fantastic!”
Before they head out of the gym Mish wants to know they’re on the road to building some bridges. Joe says absolutely. And Nate nods.
Mish says Nate’s done excellently on the outside and Joe’s done well on the outside. And now if they help each other they can go all the way!
The four returnees arrive at a basketball court with the proper contestants flanking them.
There’s four racks of hoops with forty hoops per rack.
Get through the challenge and they’re halfway there. Lose and they’re going home!
Each contestant starts with 10 basketballs on their rack. And the goal is to fill up your rack with basketballs – by stealing them from the other contestants.
The Challenge will progress in three, ten minute rounds. The contestant with the most balls after the first round wins and can sit down.
Second round, same deal.
Third round and the winner moves on, loser goes home!
Lots of frantic dashing around.
Emma’s going for Rebecca and Nathaniel’s basketballs as they are closest.
Rebecca’s taking balls from whoever and then you turn around and your own balls are gone!
It’s complete chaos all round.
Nobody has any idea who’s winning, they’re all running around and taking balls left and right.
Lara’s pretty sure the Challenors and Moons will be out to get her in this Challenge and it seems to be holding true thus far.
Really hope it doesn’t come down to Lara versus Emma in the final round…
Rebecca and Lara seem to be pretty much trading basketballs at one point.
But Nathaniel seems to have the fewest balls of all. Surprising, since he’s the only male competing!
Last couple of minutes and they’re all trying to step it up. I’d’ve thought it would be smarter to save a bit of energy for the second round when everyone else is knackered? Heh.
Emma ends up with the most balls on her rack. She has 14 balls in the end!
So she’s straight through to the next round, keeping The Duncans in the fight.
But now Lara has to battle against Nate and Rebecca. And Lara knows this won’t be pretty.
Lara starts trudging off towards Nate’s racks. Leigh asks her why she’s not running and Lara says there’s no point, not when it’s two versus one.
She should be going after Rebecca at least since she’s the one who’ll cave in the final round.
Joe says it’s important to have friends in the game (how would he know?) and that Nate and Rebecca will have to stick together.
And then Rebecca and Nathaniel have to start taking balls from each other because Lara has no balls left. Maybe Lara should sit down and rest for a few minutes and make a big push near the end? Hmmm.
Rebecca’s in front about halfway through so Nathaniel knows he has to pick up the pace.
And Leigh’s finally realised what Lara is up to – she’s conserving her energy for the final round. Clever girl!
Lara has four balls while Rebecca has pretty much all the balls on her rack. Lara may even end up ahead of Nate!
Rebecca has 22 balls at the end. Crazy! She gets to sit down with Emma on the bench.
So it’ll be Nathaniel versus Lara for the final round but as things are about to kick off… Nathaniel walks off the court?
Oookayyyyyyyyyy?
He’s gone outside to get some air, he tells the others, but he’s actually gone outside to break down. He’s in tears outside as Joe comes out to try and encourage him.
Last time he and Lara competed she beat him. He’s worried that she’ll just flog him again. Joe tells him he can do it, he can beat her. Don’t let it end here, it doesn’t have to.
Lara’s feeling anxious and like she can’t do it. She feels physically sick. Poor thing.
Leigh says she’s had a round to rest and if she doesn’t do this she’s going home. Is that what she wants? No, of course not. But can she pick herself up and continue on.
Sunday night! Find out which of the two goes home and which gets to stay in the competition.
Then at the weigh-in SOMEONE LOSES IMMUNITY?! Due to weight gain? Are you kidding me?
Then a pair will go head to head in an Elimination challenge? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
