TBL 6×46: DUN DUN DUN. Secret Squirrel. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Etc.

Previously on The Biggest Loser both Sharlene and Meg were eliminated in one episode.

Tonight! The Trainers learn who was eliminated and then head off to visit the eliminated contestants to see how they’re doing at home.
Then the eliminated contestants will be weighing in against their family members with the Biggest Loser from each team getting a chance at returning to the game.

Oooooh!

The remaining four contestants are sitting in the lounge. Leigh says it’s a bit rough since he now has no friends or family still in the game… but it’s going to be hardest on Tiffiny.
Tiffiny’s very upset. She’s been training with her “ninja twin” Meg by herself for the last few weeks.

Michelle says it’s strange how things can turn around. Tiffiny’s team was winning everything to start with and now her family is the first to be completely eliminated.

But for now the Trainers will be leaving them to their own devices, so train hard! The Trainers have some “Secret Squirrel” business to attend to.

Steve’s the first one to rock up at a Moon family house where he’s greeted by “Alfred”? No, really? Where’s Batman?
Jodie and Rebecca aren’t there though. They’re off training. Steve grins.

Jodie and Rebecca are training together on spinbikes as Steve turns up at their gym. They’re totally surprised. The camera crew who arrived beforehand was certainly not a tipoff to them. Cough cough.
Jodie says it’s been hard on the outside working full time and looking after the kids. Training morning and night and not sleeping as much.
Rebecca’s finding it tough to keep herself motivated but also bring her family into it as they’re still stuck in the old rut.

First Steve’s going to visit Jodie’s house. Last time Steve was there it was a house of horrors. All kinds of carbohydrates were on the menu with the Moon Family.
Steve’s brought them something to reminisce with – a pasta bake lasagne thing of some kind?
Jodie and Rebecca both say they’re not tempted. Rebecca says she knows if she has a mouthful of it she’ll feel so heavy and she doesn’t want that because she feels so good now!

There’s still some diet coke in Jodie’s cupboard but she says it’s from before and has remained untouched.
Lots of fruit and veggies in the fridge. But then Steve goes down to the freezer and Jodie says she never goes down there. She buys everything fresh!
The freezer is full of ice cream and party pies and so on. Jodie says she hasn’t found time to deal with it.
Steve goes over to another drawer and finds a bunch of chips and chocolates and other junk. It’s just been her son’s birthday so that’s leftovers from that, Jodie says.

Steve says he knows the kids like that sort of stuff but it’s all sitting there tempting her and even though Jodie says she hasn’t had even a nibble Steve knows the temptations being there is still a bad thing.
So, she hasn’t had time to throw all this out, huh? Well, Steve will help throw them out now. Get a garbage bag!
Steve starts emptying the drawer into a bag and manages to fill one bag from the contents of the drawer. Then it’s on to the freezer.
At one point Jodie asks where he’s finding all the food and he says it’s her house, he didn’t put them there!

In the end they fill up THREE GARBAGE BAGS with junk food. Enough to fill up their red-lid-bin.
BAD COMMANDO STEVE. They have a green-lid-bin, open the food packets and put the food in it. Argh!

Now it’s time for Tiffiny to rock up to the Duncan house. Last time she was there she had a bunch of junk and booze and so on.
She comes in the door and asks for her ninjas. Hee!
Tiffiny is amazed at Sarah-Jayne and Emma having waistlines now. She says Jarrod looks fit but not as slender as she’d imagined.

And Tiff has a surprise for them. Meg, come on in.
Awww. They’re all amazed by her transformation. And the fact she’s in a dress!
But they’re all sad that Meg’s been eliminated.

Emma says that it’s great to see Tiffiny and Meg but her and Sarah-Jayne have to go to the gym! Tiffiny is very pleased to see them off.
Meg and Tiff hang back for a chat with Jarrod. Why isn’t Jarrod off to the gym, too?
He says he’s been doing a hard day’s work and then it’s hard to get home and do the extra training work.
Jarrod’s still pleased he’s been able to take part in cricket at last!

Meg says he needs to look at Emma and SJ kicking arse. Jarrod says it’s more doable when you don’t work 40 hours a week.
Meg says she knows it’s hard but the four of them in the house were unstoppable. Now they’re outside the house they’ll still be unstoppable!
Jarrod asks Tiff if she’s brainwashed Meg and Tiff says they have their own mini-Tiff now. Which is funny since Meg still weighs more and is taller than Tiffiny anyway!

Last time Tiffiny was with SJ, SJ gave her what Tiff has dubbed the “Pasta Disaster”. Now it’s time for a revisit with that as Tiffiny serves up SJ’s old favourite meal!
Sarah-Jayne says she had no idea where Tiff was coming from 3 months ago and thought Tiffiny was actually being a bit of a sook.

But now Sarah-Jayne can barely even look at it, much less eat a whole bowl of it.
She says it smells revolting. But she’s going to have a fork full to remind herself.
She steels herself and puts a forkfull in her mouth and can barely choke it down.

After she cleans the gunk out of her mouth she tells Tiffiny off for bringing that into her house. She dumps the bowl back into the big tub of pasta and takes the tub back to the kitchen to throw it all into the bin. While Tiff hollers from the lounge room, “KILL THE PASTA! KILL IT!!!” :-D

Meanwhile the four remaining contestants are off to visit… Subway? Erm. Okay.
Oh, I see, they’re competing in a sandwich making contest. Cool!
Their sandwiches will be judged on nutritional value, taste, creativity and presentation. Hayley, Dr Norman Swan and Janella Purcell from last year’s weekly Masterclass cooking lessons.

400 calories and less than 6 grams of fat are the limits.

Win today’s competition and you’ll get a $6,000 fitness package. Nice!

And before they present their sub to the judging table they have to name their sub as well.

Leigh’s making his sub first. Chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, onion and carrot. He says because they’ve got no calories in them? Surely they have some? Hmm.

Joe’s gone for a multigrain bread because it’s healthy for you and better than white bread. 3 slices of turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion, capsicum, jalapenos and sweet onion sauce. That actually sounds really tasty!

Kellie’s taking the footlong roll and cutting it in half to, “just give them a six inch”. Ahem.
Turkey goes on first, plus some unspecified salads.

Sarah’s gone for a chicken breast as her protein on her sandwich plus a bunch of salad and some chilli sauce because it cleanses the palate, speeds up your metabolism and you enjoy the taste!

Joe’s the first to present to the judges. He’s called his sub the… “Joe’s Healthy Lunchtime Sub”. Inspired.
296 calories, 5.1g fat.

Dr Swan says he’s added flavour to it without using any salt, just the olives.

Kellie’s named her sub the “Skinny Bird”.
287 calories, 5.3g fat.

Dr Swan comments on the lack of salad on her sandwich. He says you can go  nuts with the salad, it’s not a problem.

Leigh’s called his “Chicken in a Garden”.
310 calories, 4.5g fat.

Dr Swan is impressed there’s a bit more salad and sauce on this one and it tastes really good as a result. Hayley’s pleased by the inventiveness of the name.

Sarah’s named her’s “Chick Chick Boom”! Always knew the Moons were bogans!
350 calories, 4.2g fat.

Sarah’s a little worried she’s put a bit too much sauce on it and might blow the judges brains out.
Dr Swan says he can see the jalapenos on it so he can see where the boom comes in and when he tastes it he reeeally tastes it.
“Ka-pow!” Says Hayley.
Janella agrees but they all also say they really like it.

And first place goes to Sarah! Of course.
And of course she reacts BIG. And makes faces. As usual.
But she’s very proud of herself for winning something for the Moon family!

Now Michelle rocks up for breakfast. The boys are all sitting around the breakfast table eating healthy stuff together.
Michelle remembers her first day with them, seeing the ugly truth of their bodies under their shirts. She gets them up and shirtless again.

Damien, of course, still has quite a big gut but when you compare it to what he started with it’s clear he’s lost a hell of a lot of weight.
Greg’s still got a long way to go but he’s also clearly slimmed down.
Nathaniel’s the biggest change. He still looks pudgy, but not embarrassingly so any more.

Michelle takes Nate to a water park where he goes down a scary flooded tube of DOOM masquerading as a waterslide. He says he’s not done anything like that in at least ten years. Mish sends him on his way, telling him to go, run, be free!

Now it’s time for Shannan to rock back up to the Westrens. He’s pretty anxious about seeing Craig and Sharlene again. Losing weight on the outside can be hard but as soon as he sees Sharlene and Craig he’s very relieved.
Sharlene we’ve only just seen recently of course. But Craig looks fantastic and says he feels fantastic.
Shannan also says hello and gives Emma a kiss on the cheek. She’s been getting to the gym with her Dad and trying to change her diet as well, she says.

And she’s still a cutie!

The lunch put out on the picnic table is a lot healthier than the last one Shannan had at their house. Craig says if he sat down and tried to eat what they put in Shannan last time he’d end up sick in the toilet.

Emma’s been living with friends and family while Sharlene and Craig were off getting their lives together. Emma says it’s been hard but she managed.
Shannan says to Sharlene that Emma managed and she’s not your little girl anymore, she’s your young lady. Awww!

Sharlene wants to be Emma’s Mum, not her carer. She wants a relationship that’s mother/daughter, because she does love her.

How’s Sharlene coming home been, Craig? Very emotional, Craig says. He says it’s like going back 25 years to when he first met Sharlene. He can’t believe how beautiful she is. And the old cranky Craig is gone for good!

And where’s Lara? Well, she’s out jogging and should be back soon.
Shannan goes and waits on the verandah and Lara jogs up and giggles as she sees Shannan sitting there.

Shannan’s got a surprise for Lara!
11 weeks ago they sat down on the bed and consumed a bunch of fast food burgers and chips. Lara doesn’t know how Shannan managed to do it. Even Shannan bringing the food into the room, she can smell it and it’s making her feel a little sick. And that’s what her and Leigh used to smell like, she says. It’d come out of their pores, the oil and grease.
Shannan then says he wants her to have a bite. And Lara says no thanks, she doesn’t want to. Please don’t make her take a bite. Shannan says it’s to remind her of what she used to eat and Lara says no, that’s going backwards and she doesn’t want to go anywhere near that.
Good girl!

Shannan’s come to visit to check up on how they’re doing.
But that’s not all he’s there for.

Today, they’re going to weigh in. In front of your closest family and friends.

Tiffiny announces the same to The Duncans.
Steve announces it to Moons.
Mish announces it to Challenors. And says, “Why not?” And Nate answers, “Show off!” Exactly, show off how far they’ve come!

Back at Camp Hayley’s turned up to visit the Contestants. So soon? Yes. She’s there to announce some news they won’t have seen coming.
They’ve made it this far and for that, they deserve a reward.

And what’s better than Immunity, right kids? All four of them have been granted Immunity.
Sarah’s very excited. Leigh’s not buying into the excitement, he knows something must be up.

The atmosphere at the big weigh-ins is much more excited this time, spokespeople for each of the families say.

Shannan then says that nothing in Biggest Loser is ever what it seems. They’re weighing in for another reason today, too.
Mish says they’re weighing in to see who’ll return to Camp Biggest Loser.
Tiff says whoever’s lost the most weight (by percentage) since Day One will be heading back to Camp Biggest Loser!

First to weigh in for the Challenors will be Damien!

Damien Start: 234.4kg
Damien Current: 164.8kg

Craig Current: 81.5kg
Craig Loss: 38.6kg

She’s pipped Sharlene by 100g! Sharlene doesn’t seem to mind and is the very first to run up and hug her in excitement.

Jodie Start: 106.5kg
Jodie Current: 81.5kg
Jodie Loss: 25kg

Meg Start: 137kg
Meg Current: 89.4kg
Meg Loss: 47.6kg
Meg Percentage: 34.74%

Massive loss from Meg.
Her husband says she looks stunning!

Emma needs to lose at least 46.6kg. Yikes!
Meg’s secretly wondering if she weighs less than Emma now as Emma has always been the lighter twin in the past.

Emma Start: 133.9kg
Emma Current: 84.2kg
Emma Loss: 49.7kg
Emma Percentage: 37.12%

Emma’s ecstatic by her loss. And Meg’s super excited too. She tells us Emma deserves her second chance at Camp.
Emma’s intending on shaking things up a bit when she returns. She knows how tough it is on the outside, now.

Shannan asks the four in the house what they’ve been up to while the trainers are away and Leigh asks them what they’ve been up to. Shannan says they’d better have been training!

Now the Trainers are going to be tricksy and take the contestants to the beach for a training session to distract them.

And then Hayley walks down the nearby steps to interrupt their training session.
Tiff can barely hide her grin as Hayley says there’s always one more twist and one more surprise on The Biggest Loser.

A speedboat starts cruising towards the beach they’re on… but nobody can make out who’s on it. Yet.

Tomorrow night… they’re baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
And they’ll be right back into training. Though Lara looks like she’ll struggle a little in training.

And it’s Game On. Elimination challenge. Something to do with basketballs and hoops and moving them around and… hell if I know. But one of the returning contestants will be going home as a result.
