TBL 6×45: Double Elimination Night – Six Fatties Enter, Two Fatties Leave!
Last week on The Biggest Loser the contestants sailed from Sydney to Hobart!
Sharlene ended up needing to be carried off on a stretcher due to a bad fall during a rough night at sea.
As we left on Friday night the contestants were in the final stages of the Super Duper Challenge. Whichever contestant has the highest calorie food item on their plate tonight will be going home immediately.
Then it’s back to Camp Biggest Loser for a weigh-in and another elimination, bringing them down to just four remaining contestants…
But first, a bunch of recapped footage from Friday!
Joe has five large strawberries, Meg has a tin of tuna in springwater, Sarah has a glass of juice and Leigh has a plate of 6 chicken nuggets.
Kellie still has to pick a plate. She has a plate of double brie and a plate of macadamias to choose from. Commenters here have said the macadamias are the worse option. Sharlene gets the one she doesn’t pick.
Kellie finally has a guess… and picks the double brie. D’oh!
Sharlene’s got the macadamias then. And probably going home as a result. Awww.
Joe has the strawberries for 50 calories, the lowest amount.
2nd lowest is the tuna with 100 calories.
3rd is the orange juice Sarah picked.
4th? Chicken nuggets! 320 calories. Leigh’s safe.
Just Kellie and Sharlene to go. Pretty impressive that nobody had stuffed up before this.
704 calories in… the salted macadamias.
“Yay!” Sharlene says. She’s really happy. It’s sad to leave the other guys but she didn’t participate in the challenge and she’s proud of the guys who did and she’s okay with going home.
And Sharlene? Here comes your ride now. HELICOPTER! YAY!
Leigh looks very sad to see his Mum going home. Last family member for the Westrens to leave. But Sharlene’s confident he can bring it home strong for the family.
Bye Sharlene!
Sharlene says 11 weeks ago she didn’t know who she was and then Shannan came into her life. He peeled her like an onion and she didn’t like it, but she loves him now and she loves her life. Camp Biggest Loser has changed her life forever. Hurrah!
Now she can go home and kick Craig’s butt into high gear so they can win the overall family prize!
The trainers wander into the lounge room back at Camp Biggest Loser and see Sharlene’s gone. Shannan’s saddened to see her gone.
They then relay what happened in the Super Challenge. And Steve says the first two to get to the top of the building were the two who couldn’t go through with the abseiling. Shannan’s boggling.
Leigh says he’s scared of heights! Shannan says he’s 23 years old, he saw the others doing it, why couldn’t he control his fears and just do it? Leigh has no answers.
As Last Chance Training starts Shannan sits Leigh down for a chat and he’s been kicked from pillar to post for the last couple weeks. Lara got eliminated, his Mum got sent home, stuff on the boat. Shannan says he’s gone back to the victim mentality.
And on the building he just couldn’t do it.
So Shannan’s not only got to do Last Chance Training with Leigh he’s got to get his mind back in the game. If he can’t get his mind back in then he’s lost, Shannan says.
They hop into the ring for training today. Leigh starts out pretty slow and lacking in confidence… but he starts to pick up as the session continues. Leigh starts punching a lot harder and a lot faster. The confident, cocky Leigh is back and that’s the one Shannan’s grown to love over the last few weeks.
He’s definitely looking a lot happier after the training session.
Steve’s got his two girls in his shed-gym and he has a smile on his face. Last five contestants and two of them are his girls! But the job’s not done!
Sarah’s mind has shifted a lot and she’s finally realised she’s not a fat person. Now she’s getting up every morning and feeling happy, Steve says.
Steve tells them the beauty of training them now is that there’s no more excuses, they just get down and do it. He’s really pleased they’ve finally got to where he’s always wanted them to be and always knew they could.
Steve says to them that someone will be going home after the Elimination and they can’t let it be them. And he’s proud of them. Awww!
Now it’s time to weigh-in! Joe says they’ve not had a lot of time to train so they’re all nervous.
Hopefully you’ve got reason to be nervous…
No immunities, no weight advantages or penalties, it’s all an even keel once again.
First up will be Sarah.
Sarah Previous: 111.4kg
Sarah Current: 108.9kg
Sarah Loss: 2.5kg
Sarah Percentage: 2.24%
Another underwhelming result for Sarah that she’s unreasonably proud of. Hooray!
She’s never been happier, she says.
Steve says she’s a changed woman and she’s coming across as being unstoppable.
Next up will be Leigh.
Leigh Previous: 82.6kg
Leigh Current: 80kg
Leigh Loss: 2.6kg
Leigh Percentage: 3.15%
First place. Not safe yet. More in raw weight than Sarah, ha!
Leigh’s looking fit, Hayley says. And he says he’s never felt better.
He talked himself out of the abseiling. He knows now he should’ve just stepped up and stepped off and not thought about it.
Next is Joe…
Joe Previous: 94kg
Joe Current: 90.7kg
Joe Loss: 3.3kg
Joe Percentage: 3.51%
Geez, not a bad loss at all considering everything they’ve done in the past week. He’s now in first place and safe from Elimination. Damn!
He’s over the moon. Michelle means a lot to him and his life has changed so much because of her.
Meg Previous: 90.7kg
Meg Current: 88.2kg
Meg Loss: 2.5kg
Meg Percentage: 2.76%
3rd place. Sarah’s now below the Line and will face Elimination.
Meg’s excited to be in the 80s at last.
She had a lot of time to think on the boat. Shannan gave her a letter from Emma while on the boat. There wasn’t a relationship between them when they were growing up. But they’ve made up now and they’re going to have a great friendship out of their time at Camp. Awww!
Kellie will need at least 2.5kg to stay safe from Elimination. That should be doable. For anyone but a Moon!
Kellie Previous: 91.5kg
Kellie Current: 88.9kg
Kellie Loss: 2.6kg
Kellie Percentage: 2.84%
Well, that was a surprise!
Meg and Sarah will now be facing Elimination. Which means Meg will probably be sent home. SIGH.
Kellie says her kids will be very proud of her but her husband will be shaking her head at her not doing the abseiling. Apparently he teaches abseiling. And she still couldn’t do it?!
Kellie has put abseiling on her list of things to do though, so she’ll be having a go when she gets home.
Joe is the week’s Biggest Loser again. Very unenthusiastic applause from Leigh!
Time for Leigh, Joe and Kellie to decide who to vote for, Hayley says.
Yeah, right. Kellie won’t vote for Sarah. Leigh won’t vote for Meg. Joe will be a petty cunt and will vote for Meg. Tada!
Sarah has a chat with Joe. She says that she still wants to stay, of course. And Joe asks for a good reason not to vote her out. She voted Damien out before and Joe says that hurt him.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Joe has a chat with Meg as well. Meg says that he thought Sarah would have his back but then she turned around and sent Damien home. And Joe tells Meg that they’d had that discussion between Joe and Sarah already.
Meg says that her and Joe have always know where the other stood. Can he say the same of Sarah?
Joe tells us he’s made up his mind but he won’t tell us until the right time.
If he actually votes for Sarah I will eat… a cookie!
And now it’s time for them all to file into the Elimination Room. Very small gathering, these days. Table looks ridiculously large as a result.
Meg thinks it’ll be a hard choice for everyone up the other end of the table. She doesn’t envy them their choice since they’ve grown so close.
Meg sees them both as a threat, but Sarah still has more weight to lose than she does. Who do you want in the Final Four with you? They’re both big threats and she can’t do this at home. She doesn’t have a gym or a grocery shop nearby as she lives in the middle of nowhere, basically.
Sarah still needs to be there too though. She’s got a lot of weight to lose, she knows. She asks them to make the right decision for themselves, not the right one for herself or Meg. They’ve got to make the right choice for themselves to get the title of The Biggest Loser.
First to vote will be Kellie. Presumably because we’re all pretty darn sure who she’ll be voting for. Not likely to vote out a family member!
Kellie voted to keep Meg in last time because she knew how hard it would be for her on the outside. She knows it’ll be tough for Meg and they’ve got a great friendship going.
Sarah’s her cousin and she knows Sarah can do it on the outside… but she can’t go against her family so she’s voted for Meg. Shocking!
Leigh says there’s nothing bad he can say about either of the girls and they’re both big threats and ultimately it’s come down to friendship and who’s helped him more in his time at Camp.
The person who he’s voting for has been a great, dear friend. And his hand has been forced to pick one and he’s unfortunately had to pick… Sarah.
I’m ever so surprised!
So it’s come down to Joe The Unpredictable.
Joe says he’s struggled with this choice. A few weeks ago Sarah voted out Damien. Meg’s been a strong competitor and has a lot of weight to lose. Sarah also has a lot of weight to lose.
He could pick with his heart or with his head, but his vote goes to… AD BREAK!
After the ad break…
Joe has voted for… Meg!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I’m so surpriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiised. Coughcough.
Meg’s in tears and Sarah’s giving her a big hug. Last Duncan standing no more. :-(
Meg says the saddest thing will be saying goodbye to everyone. She’s learned to believe in herself. Joe says she’s been an inspiration and amazing and she should be proud of herself.
Meg’s in the 80s now and it won’t be long till she’s in the 70s, Hayley says. And we can’t wait to see you at the Finale.
Sarah says it means a lot to her to still be in the game but Meg’s been a fantastic friend. And also tells her The Commando would tell her to lift a brick and run with it. It’s a barn! You can find things to work out with. Lift a tractor if you have to. Chase the sheep around the yard. Bwahaha!
Meg says her husband will be proud of her. She’s come even further since Makeover and he was very proud of her then.
Since coming on the show Meg’s lost 48.8kg.
Hayley says they all know she can keep it up on the outside. Time to say your goodbyes, we’ll see you soon.
Lots of hugs and tears as she heads out.
Meg says she used to hide away in the corner when she first came to Camp and now she doesn’t mind being out in the spotlight.
It’s only the first day of the rest of her life.
Wednesday Night – two contestants down… BUT NOT FOR LONG!
Trainers are checking in on the various contestants and seeing how they’re going.
Then it’s back to where it all began – weighing in again in front of friends and family. “Red, White, Blue and Black – one of each is coming back!”
Yes, it’s that time of the Competition once more. Eliminated contestants from each family will weigh in and the one with the best result so far will be heading back to Camp Biggest Loser.
Exciting times!
