TBL 6×40: MAKEOVER DAY!!! Part 2. Also, Jacob’s Ladder. Zzzzap!

Last night on The Biggest Loser… MAKEOVER DAY!!!

We saw most of the makeovers last night and they were all looking pretty darn good. But the ads are saying they’ve saved the best till last.

Tonight, more reveals, hooray! Lara, Sharlene and… Kellie? I think that’s who’s left, I forget.
Anyway, later in the episode Greg’s going to chuck another tantrum, this time in the boxing ring.
Then the weekly Challenge looms. There’s a pool and there’s a ladder thing and they climb the ladder thing or fall in the pool… I guess.

And now it’s time for another Shannan reveal. This person has been in a battle for control with Shannan and walked out in Week 1. But fortunately she didn’t leave. Now introducing… Sharlene!
Sharlene’s looking pretty good, too! Two girls up the back of the crowd are in tears so either they’re just big girls or they know her personally?
Shannan says he loves the colour of Sharlene’s dress and Sharlene says “Blue for life!” Again.
She was wearing size 20-22 clothes on coming to Camp and her current dress is a size 14!

Shannan says Sharlene’s had the support of Leigh and Lara throughout and her husband for some of it but there’s someone she’s probably been missing… Out comes Emma in her wheelchair with a huge grin on her face.
Then we get a look at Craig as well. Haven’t seen him in a month, Shannan says. And he’s looking pretty darn good himself.
Emma’s very proud of Sharlene too. Awwww! She can even put her arms all the way around her, hee!
Sharlene’s cutting the apron strings, apparently. Emma will be fine, she’s a beautiful grown woman and Sharlene knows she’ll be okay now.

Then it’s time for Commando Steve to stand up again. He gets the biggest cheer, again!
Time to introduce Kellie!
She was embarassed the last time she was at a public appearance – when she weighed in in front of her friends and family.
Then she struts out onto the catwalk in her pretty purple dress and does a little twirl around in it. Still a bit of backfat going on but she looks fairly normal from the front, which is a big improvement.
Kellie turns around and can see her husband and kids. Awwww! run over and give hugses!
Her husband says she’s looking absolutely gorgeous. Awww!

Kellie now feels like she’ll be a much better role model for her kids and now she’ll get involved in her family’s life. Her son has never been to the beach before and that’ll be one of the first things they do when she gets home.

And now they’ve saved the best till last, Shannan says. He’s the proudest trainer in the room. She’s surpassed what most people have done at this stage and she looks better than a lot of people have looked at Finale.
Time to meet Lara!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuude. Lara is smoking hot! Has a frilly off the shoulder blouse on top and a tight knee length black skirt. She looks amazing and is having a lot of fun strutting up and down the catwalk.
Shannan tells her to have a look at the pictures of herself and she’s stunned at how big she was.
She says the beauty she had on the inside is now reflected on the outside. Shannan says she was beautiful when he first met her and now she’s SMOKING HOT.
See, Shannan agrees with me!

Lara missed out on so much with her friends, going shopping with them and having fun. And she’ll be out dancing on the dance floor while Leigh’s getting his DJ on.

Lara’s also the only contestant without any blood family in the house… so her guest people are her Mum and Dad. Awwwwww!
And they’re both blown away by how great she looks.
Shannan says it was an age ago that they met each other and Lara’s Mum had told him to take good care of her. And he really has.
Lara’s Mum was always not sure whether to say anything about her weight or not but she always knew Lara had that fit person inside her.
But it wouldn’t be complete if it was just the three of them, would it?

So then her two brothers also walk out and Lara loves her brothers to bits, she says.
One of the brothers says she looks sexy and Lara says that’s gross! She’s his sister. And everyone laughs.

But the creepy brother is standing beside her and looking at her and licking his lips. Creeeeeeeeeepy.

After makeover night Lara kind of figured she was done now and she went straight down to the kitchen and pigged out on food. Which we have stupid “sneaky cam” footage of. But it’s obviously a setup so that her and Shannan can have a talk about losing control on the outside.
Shannan says it happens to everyone on the outside. You abstain from something for long enough and you get a craving and at some point it takes over.
Because Lara’s already done so well he’s actually going to move her on to his “outside world” diet plan. In that plan it’s 6 days of proper diet and one day a week you can have a Treat Meal. That meal can be as many calories as you want from whatever food you want.
You find then that you feel like crap for three days afterwards and then you recover and the craving is back by the sixth day and you only have to hold out till the seventh day.

Now we’re off to Challenor training. Where Greg’s still quitting on training. He’s got a week to get his shit back together and he’s already back to old habits, Mish says.
She sets him up with a rope to drag Joe across the field but he gives up after a short time. Then she gets him to jump his way through some tires on the ground, which he actually manages to get through! Mish and Joe are both very pleased at that.

After they finish out on the field Michelle takes them into the basketball court gym thing. She gets Greg into the boxing ring to begin with and she says that now they’re halfway through the training session Greg is starting to feel the heat? Well guess what, now she’s really going to turn up the heat!
Greg’s started on his tantrum. Michelle says to us that he’s a 47 year old man and he’s on the ground crying?
Michelle tells him he’s not really crying, they’re crocodile tears! And Greg says whateverrrrrr, then gets annoyed and tosses his gloves off and storms out of the ring. Giving up some more then?

After another ad break we’re back to Greg having a whine and a tantrum. Mish says she may as well be in the supermarket with her five year old (Mish has a baby? I didn’t think Mish had a baby?) chucking a tantrum.
He hops out of the ring and sits in the bleachers with a towel over his head saying if everyone keeps saying he’s acting like a child he may as well be one then.
Michelle is trying to coax him out of the negative headspace and get back into the exercise.
She finally gets him back into the ring and back to boxing.

Michelle finishes the training session by saying they all did well and nobody died. Yet!

Greg’s asked, afterwards, by Joe what happened in training. Greg’s scared by the person he could become.
Joe says they’ve all been through it and they’ve come through it. Giving up is not an option, it just isn’t. Didn’t he see everyone else at the makeover catwalk? He can have that!
Joe extracts a promise from Greg that in the next training session he won’t chuck it in and Greg promises.

Now it’s time for The Challenge!
Hayley’s at a pool. How unusual!

What is unusual is the trainers also being there for the Challenge. Means it must be a big one, Leigh says.

Since Day One they’ve been climbing up one step at a time on their way to fitness… and tonight they’ll be doing that, literally, in a challenge called Jacob’s Ladder. They have a special set of stairs set up on the edge of the pool and whoever can stay on it the longest, wins.
And the trainers are there because this is a challenge that could take hours and they’ll need the support.
They’ve done this same challenge in the American series and the contestants managed two and a half hours. So there’s a Biggest Loser World Record at stake here and Shannan says he’s determined one of the Aussies will beat the Yanks’ best time!
There’ll also be a 1kg advantage for the winner at the next weigh-in. Niiiice.

After another ad break there’s a lot of talking and encouraging as they all start climbing.
Sarah’s the first one to be struggling, naturally. But Steve is right there telling her she can do this, she just has to keep climbing!
But no, into the drink she goes.
Steve says it was disappointing to lose her so early (less than 5 minutes!) but she pretty much wrote herself off in this challenge.

Kellie’s still in there though. She’s thinking about the makeover and getting to see her kids and stuff. She’s pushing through it quite easily.

Sharlene’s struggling a little but Shannan’s right there and she’s determined not to let him down. She’s not a quitter anymore and so she’s going to keep climbing!
She nearly makes it to 30 minutes before falling into the pool but she’s pleased to have made it that far without falling. She’s 50 years old and she’s doing all kinds of things and having a ball these days.

Tiff says the Duncans have been winning everything, but now they’re down to just Meg.
But Meg’s the girl who dragged Damien through the mud. She’s not going to give up easy!
Sweat’s pouring off her though and she’s panting and crying a bit. Tiff says she knows it hurts but she just has to keep pushing. It’s just pain, the pain will go away, the disappointment will be worse.

Meanwhile Joe’s climbing up his ladder and whistling as he goes. Haha, smartass!

Meg’s made it through another ten minutes, so Tiff tells her she can do another ten minutes. If it gets too much, scream it out. Meg gives a bellow and keeps climbing.
But eventually she asks Tiff to let her go and Tiff says she can’t ask her to do that… but Meg can’t hang in there any longer. She drops out just before the 50 minute mark.

Kellie’s hurting everywhere, she says. She’s getting stiff and having back spasms and… into the drink she goes!
Steve thinks it might be over very quickly from now.

Leigh, Lara and Joe are the only ones left. I wouldn’t put any money on Leigh or Lara giving up while Joe’s still in the race!

Lara’s right in her zone as usual and Mish thinks she’ll be the one to beat.
Joe’s doing it a bit tougher now. He’s slipping further down the ladder but trying to keep catching back up.

Meanwhile Lara has a very sore back and she’s asking Shannan not to look her in the eye because he has a way of getting into her head. She doesn’t want to give up until she’s given it 120%.
Shannan’s pride in Lara has grown even more tonight, he says. Shannan says if Lara looks him in the eye and says she’s given everything, he’ll believe her. But until then, keep climbing!
2 hours and 3 minutes in and she’s climbed over 6000 ft, apparently?! Yikes.

But she finally has had enough and she’s done. In she goes.

Leigh’s now head to head with Joe and determined Joe will fall first.

Sunday night we find out who wins the Jacob’s Ladder Challenge. Hooray!
We also find out if Greg’s week back at Camp has paid off.
And another weigh-in and elimination loom. Who’ll be the next to leave Camp Biggest Loser?
