TBL 6×37: Immunity Week wraps up. Finally. Will Meg lose the 4kg?

Previously on The Biggest Loser Leigh and Lara were battling it out for…

Wait, Leigh and Kellie were battling it out for Immunity? Oh, right, Lara already had it, that’s why she wasn’t there whooping everyone else…

Tonight! Leigh and Kellie continue struggling through the surf at Palm Beach with a bucket full of flag to fly when they get back to the start. Which contestant will be the final recipient of Immunity for the week?
Later it’s time for another weigh-in and elimination. Which, sadly, Joe is unlikely to leave as a result of. Awww!

And Mr Voiceover Man says this week is the Scariest Weigh-In EVER. Better not disappoint us!

Also we get a catch up glimpse of eliminated contestants Emma and Nathaniel. Both are looking pretty fantastic from the short clip in the intro.

The episode, as always, gets started with a bunch of footage we already saw on Friday. Leigh continues to hold his lead over Kellie as the two get back into the water with the flagbuckets.
Both are getting smashed by waves but Leigh manages to get back to shore a good 50m ahead of Kellie.

But Leigh’s struggling to get his bucket open, oh no!

Oh, no, it’s okay, Leigh gets his bucket open and his flag hooked up as Kellie trudges past with her bucket. I’m sure that wasn’t posed at all…

Kellie and Leigh hug each other afterwards and then both go and help their family members. Leigh helps drag the flagpole sled down the beach and then urges Sharlene to run faster into and out of the water. Sharlene says it’s like she had Shannan there helping her along.

Rebecca’s always struggled with the water so Kellie’s giving her a helping hand. Sarah’s actually managed to finish it all by herself. Just ahead of Sharlene, even!
Sharlene struggles as she gets back onto the beach as the waves smash her down again and again. But she’s giggling throughout. A big change from the sourpuss she used to be!

They’re all very happy afterwards, arms round each other and grins on their faces.

So Leigh has Immunity. Hayley says that 8 people will be weighing in but really the competition will be between the four at the Challenge who didn’t get Immunity.
And maybe Meg! And maybe someone else if they foolishly gain weight!

The trainers rock up to find out what’s been going on and Sarah relays the Challenge results.
She stretches the truth a bit by saying Kellie was about 3 seconds behind Leigh. Yeah, not so much, Sarah!
But the trainers are all really impressed that Kellie managed to keep up with Leigh.

Then they all have a good chuckle at a couple of them getting stuck under the logs. Sharlene’s giggling along with them and says she was laughing at the time she did it, too. It’s good to have a bit of a laugh at yourself, she says.

Time for Last Chance Training!

Shannan’s got his people in the Big Gym. With Leigh and Lara already having Immunity Sharlene no longer has anything to worry about, Shannan says. Sharlene can just let go of all the worries and just work as hard as she can.
Even though the kids can’t be sent home Sharlene still wants to be there with them for another week.

But first there’s some unfinished business from earlier in the week. Shannan’s challenged Sharlene to run at 14km/hr and Sharlene says she’s not sure she’s got it in her today.
But what’s the Blue Team philosophy? Nothing’s impossible, no regrets and no excuses. And so Sharlene says okay, do it!

She psychs herself up for it and hops on the treadmill and gets started.

She’s got some self doubt, Shannan tells her not to freak out. She can do it. She gets to 20 seconds and has to hop off. But she tells us the way Shannan trains them is that it’s up to your mind whether you can make it, if your mind is focused you can do it.

She goes for her third attempt, at least, and manages to power through and make it for the full 30 seconds.
Sharlene says her legs were wanting to come off the back but her head held her there, Shannan insists.
Leigh says he has to watch his back now because if he starts being smart to her she can chase him down!

Meg’s still being pushed extremely hard by Tiffiny. Tiff tells us that the higher your heart rate the more calories you burn so she’s pushing her constantly.
She also tells us Meg dishonoured the Warrior Code this week by taking part in Temptation. And now she has to come back fighting and lose 4kg.

Michelle has Joe out on the paradeground and she’s quite happy with his efforts. He’s giving it 100% and getting it done.
He’s the last Challenor and he’s talking a big game to us about being the best competitor.

Michelle’s got him going up and down the stairs. She says it’s hard because it hurts your legs and your butt and really gets your heart rate up there.
He does 40 reps without a break which has Michelle very pleased. He’s also managing to outpace her up the stairs which is very impressive since Michelle’s probably about half his size and twenty times fitter!

“I’m Emma and I weigh 133.9kg.”
2 months on…
As I said on Friday night, WOW! She’s looking great.
She has a personal trainer now and he pushes her just as hard as Tiffiny.
And she never used to like running but now her and her husband go running every day.
She’s also loving her steamed chicken and salad dinners, which she never thought would happen.
Then we have a look at her audition tape which really shows how much she’s changed.

In her audition she talks about walking up a hill in the Blue Mountains and having chest pains. She says she’d be able to run up that hill now!
Before starting at Biggest Loser she was a size 24-26 and is now a healthy size 12-14.

And she looks smoking hot, I would add to that. Can’t wait to see her at Finale!

But now it’s time for the weigh-in.
Hayley goes through the Immunity week stuff.

Meg’s still looking a bit unhappy. Says that winning Immunity off the back of an eating competition and finding out she’d put 4kg was disheartening.

First to weigh-in will be those with Immunity, starting with Lara!

Lara Previous: 73.4kg
Lara Current: 70.4kg
Lara Loss: 3kg
Lara Percentage: 4.09%

Wow, that’s a good loss for her and she likely would have been safe anyway. We’ll see, I suppose!

Joe Previous: 101.9kg
Joe Current: 99.2kg
Joe Loss: 2.7kg
Joe Percentage: 2.65%

WATER. LOADED. Has a sly look on his face. He knows why he only lost 2.7kg this week.
He says when he gets home he wants to talk to his wife about their future journey through life. Camp has changed the way he thinks and he knows there’s so much more to life now.

Leigh Previous: 89.3kg
Leigh Current: 87kg
Leigh Loss: 2.3kg
Leigh Percentage: 2.58%

Leigh says the future with him and Lara is very bright. He says they’d’ve been married by now if they hadn’t been overweight.

Meg Previous: 95.7kg
Meg Current: 92.3kg
Meg Loss: 3.4kg
Meg Percentage: 3.55%

She almost passes out in relief. Tiffiny’s heart was in her throat as Meg walked up but she knew they’d done absolutely everything they could.
Meg’s lost 44.7kg since Day One, Hayley says.
Big hug for trainer Tiff and a promise to us that she won’t take Temptation ever again!

So all the Immunity people get to keep Immunity!

So it’s down to Sharlene versus The Moons!

Sarah Previous: 118kg
Sarah Current: 114.9kg
Sarah Loss: 3.1kg
Sarah Percentage: 2.63%

Another weak loss from Sarah. Sarah says she’s pulled her finger out in the past week or two, not coming dead last in Challenges and Contests anymore. If only she’d do that in training!

Rebecca Previous: 88.3kg
Rebecca Current: 84.8kg
Rebecca Loss: 3.5kg
Rebecca Percentage: 3.96%

Another good loss. She’s very happy to be under 85kg because that was the lowest she could ever remember being.

Sharlene will need at least 3.3kg to remain safe from Elimination…

Sharlene Previous: 82.2kg
Sharlene Current: 78.7kg
Sharlene Loss: 3.5kg
Sharlene Percentage: 4.26%

Putting Sharlene into FIRST PLACE. Wow.

Sarah will also definitely be facing Elimination tonight. With either Rebecca or Kellie. HA!

Sharlene wants to stay as long as she can now. Legend Lisa said that something will click and she’ll get it, and something’s clicked and now she wants to make the most of her life.

Kellie needs 3.9kg to stay safe from Elimination.

Kellie Previous: 97kg
Kellie Current: 93kg
Kellie Loss: 4kg
Kellie Percentage: 4.12%

So Kellie is safe though she’s a little sad that she’s pushed Rebecca under the line but also over the moon about losing 4kg.

Sharlene is this week’s Biggest Loser, Hayley announces, proving that age is no barrier!

Wow, I really hope they put Kellie up to vote first so we have to see which cousin she likes more.

“Hi, my name’s Nathaniel and I weigh 142kg.”
2 months on… dude’s skinny!
He’s running down the beach and doing pushups and situps on the beach.
Before coming on the show there weren’t many places that sold clothes that would fit him. Now he can just walk into any shop and pick up things off the rack and walk straight back out.

Presumably after paying.

His audition footage is hard to watch. He looks so introverted and massive.
He was a 7XL before coming on the show and now he’s only a Large.
He even walks on the beach with his shirt off! There’s some loose skin but he just looks like he’s a little flabby, not ripped like you’d expect from a Shannan or Commando.

Now it’s time to face Elimination for Sarah and Rebecca. Who will vote for who?

There’s six voting tonight and so a hung vote is possible. In that case Sarah will be the one to go home as she had the smallest percentage.

Sarah’s not looking forward to facing off against Rebecca and they’ve all grown closer over the past weeks living together. Rebecca agrees.
Kellie says it’s horrible trying to choose between them. It’s hard to decide.

Rebecca’s final plea is that, while Sarah needs to stay there so does she. She has small kids at home and she’s worried how she’ll cope if she has to go home and look after them.
Sarah and Rebecca are clutching each other’s hands and they love each other and so on.
Sarah says there’s a saying, “Que Sera, Sera” whatever will be, will be. If it’s time for one of them to go home at least they’re going home to family. Sarah won’t hold it against anyone voting for her.

Sharlene’s voting first. She’s in turmoil. It could easily have been her sitting up the end but in the end she went with her heart and has voted for Rebecca.

Joe, Rebecca’s secret lover, is going for strategy, he says, and votes for Sarah, who will never be a threat to anyone…
Okay fella.

Lara says one person still really needs to be there and so she’s giving Sarah a second chance and has voted for Rebecca. She’s sorry, but she had to.

And now it’s Kellie’s turn, woohoo!
Kellie says it comes down to who can do this at home without distractions. Rebecca has kids at home, like Kellie does, and as soon as Rebecca goes home her husband will have to go back to work. Where Sarah only has her partner to worry about and support her.
So Kellie’s voted for Sarah!

Leigh’s voted for Rebecca. Same reason as Lara – Sarah needs another chance more than Rebecca.

Three votes to Rebecca and two to Sarah. Whoever gets Meg’s vote will be going home.

Meg says she’s gotten close to both of them and both still need to be there. So her vote has come down to Sarah… Meg wants Sarah to feel what Meg felt when she got under 100kg. Sarah was looking horrified at first but then bursts into tears and hugs Rebecca as Meg’s vote is revealed to be for Rebecca.

Rebecca says Sarah’s now got to make the most of this experience.
Kellie looks… Well. Kinda pissed, to be honest. Can’t imagine why, she just voted to get rid of Sarah and she gets to stay. I’m sure that won’t cause any drama.

Rebecca says she’s looking forward to getting home and giving big kisses and cuddles to her husband and kids. And set herself some goals in life, which she’s not done before.

Rebecca and Sarah have a big cuddle and mutter to each other. Meg gets a big hug as well, awww!

Rebecca says she’s a lot stronger and more confident now.
Joe gets an especially big hug and Joe says he’ll miss her heaps and Rebecca says she’ll miss him too. OOOOH.

Wednesday night it’s Temptation once again. This time, ice cream!
“Hello, my name is Sarah, I’m addicted to ice cream.”

Then a surprise return – Greg! Michelle’s going to give him a workout and he’s going to puke.

Then on Thursday it’s makeover time, woohoo! Can’t wait to see the pretty ladies in their pretty dresses and the pretty men in their pretty suits!
