TBL 6×33: Challenge result, weigh-in, elimination. Fun!

Previously on The Biggest Loser the contestants were finally split into singles.
Sarah won Immunity at Temptation after consuming 2,000 calories worth of choc chip cookies.
Joe won a 1kg advantage for himself at The Contest and gave the other 1kg advantage to Rebecca instead of his brother, a decision that has baffled and appalled most everyone.

Tonight the triathlon challenge continues with Leigh, Lara and Joe battling it out in the final stage to see who gets to spend some time with their loved one.

Later another Weigh-In looms. This will be the first weigh-in since the split into singles and so unexpected things could happen, instead of Red and Black being below the line yet again…
There’ll be an elimination thereafter, no doubt a very dramatic choice, etc.

But first the triathlon continues. Lara’s still in tears while trying to construct her road so she can get to see her Mum. Lara’s the only one without any immediate family in the house. She has her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s Mum but it isn’t the same, Leigh says.

As Lara gets back in her car for another short drive over her self built road she finally crosses the line and wins a day with her Mum. Awww!
Leigh and Sharlene are both very happy for her.

Hayley says she’ll get to spend time with her Mum… who is now off the boat and here she comes now! Lara turns around and sees her Mum walking towards her and she’s off! She runs in for a big hug and Lara says it was the best hug ever.
Her Mum is amazed at how slim Lara looks now!

Lara and her Mum get to spend the night on Cockatoo Island. But the other contestants don’t miss out entirely – they’ve all got letters from their loved ones. Meg just wants to crawl into bed and read the letter from her husband.

Meanwhile Lara and Lara-Mum are on a boat cruising off to Cockatoo Island to spend the night in a fairly nice little apartment with a great view of Sydney from their balcony.

Lara’s looking forward to talking with and catching up with her Mum.
Lara’s struggled in the last week, she says, she’d been missing her Mum.
Lara wasn’t happy last time her Mum had seen her. Lara’s Mum was hurting for her and so Lara tried to spend less time around her.
Lara’s Mum says she can see the change in Lara’s eyes and she seems so much happier now.

Meg’s the first to read her letter. Her husband’s given up smoking as part of their vows. Meg’s reason for being in there is so that they can have kids. Awww!

Rebecca’s letter is also from her husband. Her little boy is missing his Mum, as is the husband.
They had to make cupcakes the other day but their’s weren’t as good as Mum’s!

Damien apologises before reading his, because he says he’ll be a blubbering mess before the end.
Damien has a letter from his wife. She says she is looking forward to seeing a man closer in weight to the man she married. Apparently he was only 110-115kg back then. So he’s still got a ways to go yet.

Challenors are then off for training and Damien’s super proud at having made it 800m on a real kayak. Michelle is really happy for him too. He may have come last but he can at least take part now, not sit on the sidelines anymore.

Mish is going to focus a lot on Damien today because Damien doesn’t have the 1kg advantage so she needs to get everything out of him that she can. She describes Joe’s decision as “reckless”!
Damien’s having a tug of war with Michelle at one point, he has to drag her across the yard while Michelle pulls back against him. Amazing Michelle’s not just dragged clear across the floor, given the weight differential!
Joe tells us he feels a little guilty for giving the weight advantage to Rebecca. I do not believe him. At all.

But anyway, time for weigh-in already!

Very first singles weigh-in, Hayley reminds us. If we’ve forgotten in the last 15 minutes or so.

Two spots below the Yellow Line but this time the rest of the contestants will get to vote singly, rather than as family groups.

As Sarah has Immunity she is first to weigh in. Not expecting big things from her…

Sarah Previous: 119.5kg
Sarah Current: 118kg
Sarah Loss: 1.5kg
Sarah Percentage: 1.26%

Pathetic. She says she’s happy with it though. Very happy. Steve looks a little dubious but we don’t hear from him.

Sharlene Previous: 86.1kg
Sharlene Current: 82.2kg
Sharlene Loss: 3.9kg
Sharlene Percentage: 4.53%

That ought to keep her quite safe. She’s in first so far, of course. But above 4% is usually enough at this stage.

Kellie Previous: 99.7kg
Kellie Current: 97kg
Kellie Loss: 2.7kg
Kellie Percentage: 2.71%

Well, she beat Sarah. If only that mattered this week!

Leigh Previous: 91.8kg
Leigh Current: 89.3kg
Leigh Loss: 2.5kg
Leigh Percentage: 2.72%

OUCH. That’s awfully close.

Meg Previous: 101.6kg
Meg Current: 95.7kg
Meg Loss: 5.9kg
Meg Percentage: 5.81%

Crazy loss! She’s ecstatic to be under 100kg and Tiff points out she’s WELL under 100kg. Meg can’t even remember the last time she was under 100kg.
She tells us she’s proud to stand up on the scales now.

Joe Previous: 104.6kg
Joe Current: 101.9kg
Joe Loss: 2.7kg – 3.7kg after advantage
Joe Percentage: 3.54%

Third place. Meaning he’s definitely safe as he’s ahead of both Kellie and Leigh. Damn!
Joe tells Hayley he hopes Damien doesn’t go under the line. Michelle looks very annoyed.
And Damien tells us he’s less than impressed with Joe’s poor loss, too.

Lara Previous: 75.1kg
Lara Current: 73.4kg
Lara Loss: 1.7kg
Lara Percentage: 2.26%

6th place. She’s disappointed but realistically she hasn’t got enough left to lose that she should be worried about it.
Lara says she started backsliding during the week, old Lara coming back and stuff. Leigh hopes her loss will be enough.

Damien needs at least 4.8kg. Which should still be doable for him.

Damien Previous: 173.6kg
Damien Current: 169.6kg
Damien Loss: 4kg
Damien Percentage: 2.3%

So he’s currently in 6th. He may still stay safe but he’s in trouble now.
Lara is definitely below the Line though.
Mish looks horrified and Joe actually expresses some remorse which might even be genuine!

Damien claims he’s a man of integrity and honour, which is horseshit. But he says he’s just starting to get his mind around the weightloss stuff.
And he felt ripped off and shattered by Joe’s decision to give the 1kg advantage to Rebecca. He doesn’t know what Joe was thinking but there’s no sense worrying about it now.

Rebecca needs at least 2.1kg. So effectively 1.1kg. Which should be ridiculously easy for her.

Rebecca Previous: 90kg
Rebecca Current: 88.3kg
Rebecca Loss: 1.7kg – 2.7kg after advantage
Rebecca Percentage: 3%

Meaning Damien is below the line with Lara. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Rebecca’s actually in 4th place as a result.

Joe’s lost some colour, Hayley says. Michelle looks pissed and Shannan looks digusted. Mish is verging on tears. Joe then breaks out the waterworks. Or the fake ones, anyway.

Oh well, Rebecca’s safe for another week and it looks like Lara ought to be as well so it’s not all bad news!

So now Lara and Damien will face elimination.

Kellie’s torn between her head and her heart, she says. Not sure why – you want to win? Vote out Damien. You want to be nice? Keep Lara.
Damien threw both his brother and nephew under the bus. Why would your heart keep him? Sigh.

Everyone files into the Elimination Room. Everyone gets to be involved in Elimination from now on, either casting votes or hoping to avoid the votes.
There’s 7 votes so there’ll be no split decision this week.

Lara’s feeling as safe as anyone feels when they’re up for elimination. She’s devastated at the thought of leaving Leigh and Sharlene there. But come on, you can go have more Mum-hugs!
Leigh’s scared for her and Sharlene’s worried about her too. Sharlene wishes she was there instead of Lara.

Damien says it’s overwhelming to face elimination again. Last time he went 4-0 on votes. He thought he was ready to go home last time and this time he knows he’s not.
Damien says Joe’s still his brother. But the decision was made and it wasn’t up to him. Lessons to be learned, etc.

Joe lies through his teeth and says he’s gutted to see Damien sitting there. If he’d made a different decision Damien would be safe.

Go on, vote for Damien. You know you want to, Joe.

First to four goes home. Leigh’s first to vote. Safe bet.
Leigh says it’s obvious who he’d vote for – Damien. Of course. Hardly going to vote out his girlfriend!

Joe says he’s learned a lot about family this week. So he’s voted for Lara.

Sharlene’s next. She says Lara’s been her rock and she loves Lara so her vote is for Damien, though she apologises as well.
That’s all the same team’s out of the way.

Rebecca’s got an awkward decision. She’s tried to remove herself from the game and make the decision on her own, she gets along well with both of them and she’s really sorry but her vote goes to Lara.
Because she’s a fucking moron.

Kellie’s got a hard decision as well. She’s looking at who needs to be there and who doesn’t and so she’s also voted for Lara.

Meg’s next. She says both need to be there for different reasons. She’s always voted with her heart and with friendship so she’s voted for Damien.

Leaving just Sarah. Who can be counted on to vote for a stupid reason. Hooray!
Sarah says she has many reasons to vote for either of them. She’s finding it hard to choose between head or heart. She’s sorry but she’s voting for…

Yep! Ad break!

After the ad break we get back to Sarah’s decision making process. Damien still has a lot of weight to lose. She needs to be there for as long as she can be so she’s voted for…

DAMIEN! Fuck yes! The first smart decision she’s made on the show! Good for you, girl!

This marks the second occasion Damien has been eliminated. Can he come back yet again?

Damien says that the reason he was eliminated was because he’s still got the most weight to lose and they’re totally playing the game and he hopes the game comes back to bite them on the arse.
Yeah, because you dicks on the Red team would never do anything like that…

Sharlene’s displeased and points out that of course her and Leigh wouldn’t vote for Lara because family is important to them and they stick together. She’s disappointed to see Damien sitting up there again but families play the game the way they want to and that’s exactly why Damien’s sitting there.

Joe denies playing russian roulette with his family, even though he’s done it week after week, and says Sharlene’s been against him from the start. Sharlene says she’s not against him it’s just obvious he wanted Damien gone because he’s a threat to Joe.
Joe denies it, of course, but Sharlene’s not having a bar of it.

Damien’s lost an amazing 64.8kg since starting at Camp. He’s had his ups and downs, Hayley says, but has it brought them closer together? Damien says yes. It’s been more than 30 years since he shared a bedroom with either of his brothers. He can’t believe how much his life has changed in such a short period of time.
He thinks showing his kids how much he’s changed will be the best gift to them ever.

Damien, you are not the Biggest Loser. Goodbye!

Lara gives him a hug and a kiss. Awww.

Damien was a mess when he started, he says. Even moving and breathing was an effort. He entered Camp at 234.4kg, the largest contestant ever and now he’s done to 169.6kg and he feels great, he says.

Damien gives Leigh a big bear hug and a kind of reluctant looking hug to Joe.
Damien says he may be finished at Camp but it’s the start of his new life. And he’ll see them at finale!

Wednesday night Joe faces up to how horrible a person he is and probably doesn’t really care.
Also it’s Immunity Week. Four events, four immunities.
First up is a 24 hour lockdown with nowhere to hide? Apparently there’s sausage rolls on offer? Man, I could really go for a sausage roll right now…

We’ll also get a catch up with Sarah-Jayne, the first proper one this season. Should be interesting.
