TBL 6×20: PIGS. IN. MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD!

Previously on The Biggest Loser the rift between Emma and Meg was revealed.

And Champions faced off in The Contest.

Tonight The Contest continues. Lara versus Nathaniel.
Later, Meg and Emma cry some more.

And then PIGS. IN. MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD!

But first! A recap of The Contest from last night. Really thought we were done with this endless recap footage…

Lara’s very determined to win. And she looks very composed from the start.
But Nathaniel’s struggling before the first minute is over. Constantly readjusting his grip and fiddling around with the rope and making faces like nobody’s business. He even busts out some tongue!

And then before the first two minute period is even up, Nathaniel slips off the rope. Lara jumps in shortly after and gives Nathaniel a hug.
Yay! Blue win again!

So what’s the power The Westrens get over the game?
They’ll get an advantage at the next weigh-in by giving another family a 1kg weight penalty at the next weigh-in. Nasty!

But they have the night to think about who they should give the penalty to. No on the spot decision for this one.

Then, next day, the other teams are in the lounge as The Westrens file in.

It’s a hard thing to have to do, Lara tells everyone. Mish reminds us that the 2kg weight advantage last week saved her team and this week the 1kg disadvantage could doom a family.

Sharlene says they remembered Moons losing their trainer and Duncans having chinese food and Challenors had their medicine ball to look after.

So, to keep things fair, Lara says The Westrens have decided… to go to an ad break.

So The Westrens have decided to put the 1kg penalty on the Moons.
Rebecca tells us she doesn’t believe the Westrens really just did it in turns. Big whoop, 1kg is only .25kg each.

Steve is frustrated with his team, again. They’ve got a 1kg weight disadvantage and yet none of them have trained?
Sarah says she had every intention of train… “EVERY INTENTION?!”
Steve blows a gasket and starts yelling at them being unable to get above the Yellow Line and not training. What, did they need their beauty sleep? When they get on the scales they’re going to wish they had trained!

Then Rebecca decides to walk out!

Steve follows after her and she says they’ve got a lot of baggage to work out and Steve asks why she can’t offload it to him and Rebecca asks why she would? She’s told us that all they’ve had from Commando Steve is tough love and she wants something else. Aww!

Steve tells them the reason he gets so angry at them is because he knows they are capable of so much more.

So what makes them happy, Steve asks?
Sarah fakes smiles all the time, she says. You want the truth, that’s the damn truth! She doesn’t even know what it’s like to be happy, she says. But she’s getting a little happier there each day and can see that ray of light.

Steve wants to know that they’ll all be on the journey upwards in a year or in ten year’s time. It’s about changing their lives forever.
Jodie thinks today’s training session was the best for her, emotionally.
And Sarah’s got a genuine smile, she says.

Tiffiny says Emma’s realised she wasn’t really there for Meg when they were growing up.
Today Tiff wants Emma to open up to Meg in training to go through it with her.
Emma says she was a bitch to Meg and Meg says she wasn’t and she’s got nothing to be sorry for. Awwww!

Meg says the reason they don’t really have the bond is because Meg would never let her in, either.

Emma would ditch all her friends and spend all her time with Meg, she’d even sleep in the gutter if she had to.
Emma tells us it was a big weight off her chest, telling Meg everything that had happened.

Tiff tells them there’s only two of them left now and they need to show that twin power counts for a lot!

Tiff thinks they have what it takes, it’ll just mean they have to fight together, not against each other.

And now it’s time to head off to the weekly Challenge! And they have colour coded cars, nifty.

They arrive at… I don’t know. Some place that has a mud pit. And a Hayley in a plaid shirt.
Four way tug of war is the Challenge.
They’ll need teamwork and tenacity if they want to win.

They’ll all be harnessed together and will have to crawl and pull through the mud to grab a flag. But there’s a catch – when you get a flag you lose a family member.

Sharlene and Jodie are both injured and thus won’t be competing.
Since that leaves 3 families with 3 members, they’ll each have 3 flags to retrieve. Duncans only have two people so they only have two flags to retrieve.

The winning team will get a 1kg advantage at the weigh-in so The Moons are particularly eager.

“Oh no, we’re about to get dirty like pigs in mud!” – Emma. :-D

Everyone gets very muddy right away. Meg and Emma are immediately yanked backwards onto their bums by the weight of the Challenor boys.
Craig’s tried to turn around to pull with the harness on his back instead of across his chest.

Damien falls down at one point and says he’s not getting back up. So Joe and Nathaniel are using him as an anchor to keep them from slipping back.

The Duncans are clearly not moving anywhere so they decide to go and help The Westrens to get one of their flags, much to Jodie’s disgust. She calls them dirty buggers.

And in the end it doesn’t matter anyway as Nathaniel finally gets in range of a flag and pulls it out. Challenors decide to have Nathaniel sit out because he has a knee injury.

Next round!

Soon as the hooter sounds Meg and Emma dive forward and wind up yanking Damien backwards so he’s flat on his back in the mud. Like a turtle!

Sharlene’s calling encouragement from the sidelines, trying to urge them on to greater efforts. Craig gets annoyed and tells her to shut up which causes Lara to snap at him and tell him off. She says Sharlene’s just trying to support them. Craig remains unrepentant.
How’re they still married?!

Meanwhile Sarah’s having pant-related issues, namely they are falling down and she’s not sure whether to try for the flag or pull up her pants. She eventually decides to try and pull her pants up. She succeeds at pulling her pants up but shortly afterwards does as Damien did before – flops over backwards into the mud with a big THOCK noise!

Joe eventually rolls around to try and help the Black Team while Emma and Meg both help The Westrens again.

Finally, after a bunch more tugging and pulling and getting muddy Lara grabs a flag!
And they decide to unclip the lazy Craig for the next round.

So now Black have three members versus the other three teams having two each.
And finally that advantage pays off with Sarah managing to grab a flag while Nathaniel stands beside the mud pit yelling in frustration at Joe and Damien. Damien’s being the anchor and Joe’s pushing off from him.

Next round is a really quick tug with both White and Blue managing to pull a flag out almost at the same time… but White manages to get there just ahead of Blue.
Duncans decide to have Emma sit out of the next round. They figure Meg has more leg strength which I guess they think will be more useful.

Next round Meg is pulled flat on her bum right away and The Challenors make some progress this time around, unlike the previous round where they both ended up on their bums.

Challenors then have to decide who’ll stay in and… Wow, Damien’s going to stay in and Joe’s getting out? You’re mad, guys.

And next round Damien lands on his backside yet again.
Sarah and Kellie get stuck and are unable to move. Meg’s trying her best but she’s pulling solo…

But Lara’s stretching out with all her might to their remaining flags… and she finally manages to grab it!

Lara’s going to sit out of the next round as she’s in a lot of pain. Probably after doing most of the work the previous rounds!

And next round, big surprise Damien falls right over. Then Leigh’s fallen over too.

The Moons both manage to grab a flag at the same time. And Sarah will be staying for what will now be the final round. First one to get a flag will win!

Damien, Leigh, Sarah and Meg are in the final round. But as we’re almost at the end of the scheduled timeslot it seems unlikely we’ll find out who wins tonight. Never know, I suppose.

Damien’s pulling well at the start but then he has to take a break as he’s out of breath.

Emma’s screaming encouragement from the side of the mud pit. Every time Meg shouts in effort, Emma shouts back. Emma tells her to think about all those people who bullied her because that always gets her wound up.
Meg says they’ve gotten so close over the last week and she wanted to win for them so bad.

But she’s on the opposite side to Damien. Which has got to be a hard ask.

Sharlene, meanwhile, is telling Leigh she’s told him so many times not to play in the mud. Come on, get up!

Sarah’s being reminded that this is the kg they need to get back to parity.

Leigh’s exhausted and lying flat on the mud. Then he can feel himself sliding backwards as Sarah gets a look of determination on her face and starts pulling very hard.

Meanwhile Damien’s flat on his back and so Meg’s trying to pull him across the mud.

Meg and Sarah are the only two left in the race, effectively. And both are very, very close to their flags…

SUNDAY NIGHT! Bah.
Sunday we find out who wins.

Also, The Challenors are breaking apart, yet again. Nathaniel says he’s never liked Joe and Joe thinks Nathaniel should just go? Way to work as a team, guys!

Plus weigh-in, elimination, dramarama!
