TBL 6×18: Elimination Fallout. Again. Also, Temptation!

Previously on The Biggest Loser… I can’t remember. There’s been two and a bit days since it aired. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?

Just kidding. I remember. Jarrod got eliminated on Sunday night, much as everyone expected when the 3 Families lost at the weigh-in.

Tonight everyone’s going to be fuming at Red. Again. This time because Nathaniel’s wishes on the vote weren’t taken into consideration by Joe. Possibly. I’m sure Joe will say he did consider them and thought them extremely interesting but his manliness couldn’t contend with someone younger, fitter, stronger and more courageous than himself.
Well, maybe he won’t say the last bit. But he’ll be thinking it!

Also, Temptation! Has anyone learned their damn lesson, yet? Or will someone still be unable to resist the urge… yes, I’m looking at you, Sarah.

After Elimination everyone files into the lounge room, as is their way.
Emma’s sad about Jarrod being gone.
Joe tells us that he wanted Jarrod gone. They’d looked at everyone else but with him out of the way it makes things so much easier, Joe says.

Emma’s more upset for Nathaniel though. Clearly Joe didn’t listen to Nathaniel’s opinion one bit. Her and Nate have discussed things a couple of times, apparently, and Nate needs to stick up for himself more. Nate’s copping the fallout for the big men’s decisions and being left with the wreck afterwards.

Joe says it doesn’t matter what he says, he’d be the bad guy anyway. Wouldn’t matter who he’d voted out.
Meg suggests it should have been a joint decision with Nate, that way it would be on both their shoulders, not just Joe’s.

Joe asks Nate if he was asked about Jarrod and Nate says yes, but he also said things about the other 10 people in the house.
Nate says he gets a chance to voice his opinion in his team but his uncles don’t listen to him at all.

As they’re heading down to Temptation there’s photos hung up everywhere of everyone and their families. Lara has a pic of her and her Mum which makes her want to hug her Mum, awww!

Meg has a picture of herself and Emma kissing her husband on the cheeks at their engagement party. Awww!
Meg’s there for her future and for herself and her husband’s future.

Sharlene then finds a picture of Emma perched on Leigh’s lap and tells us how much she misses Emma. She really wants to see Emma. Awww.

Kellie’s two boys are in a huge picture. Aww!

And then they look over at a table where there’s bowls full of Smarties. Or probably bowls full of “candy coated chocolate buttons”.

On offer for today’s Temptation is Immunity. And it’ll be Immunity for just one person, not an entire family.

Lara thinks Joe needs Immunity the most since he’s been awful to everyone lately.

But it’s not just Immunity on offer, Hayley says. She tells them to look at their loved ones and think about how much they miss them. What would it mean to get a kiss or a hug from them?
If you win Temptation you’ll be getting a visit home to see them.

DON’T FALL FOR IT!

All the girls are crying as a result.
Winner of Temptation will get a whole night at home with their loved ones.

Kellie says it would mean the world to her to go home and see her kids. A sentiment echoed by many, I’d imagine.

So how will Temptation work? In front of them is a bowl of delicious chocolate buttons. Each button is 10 calories. The person that eats the most chocolate buttons will win.
“Sounds easy, right? Well maybe not that easy. Because you’ll all be playing blindfolded!”

No telling how many or how few it will take to win. It might only take one!

Lara loves chocolate. She’s forgotten what it tastes like and she wants to taste it.

Contestants have 20 minutes to eat as many chocolate buttons as they like. Let’s hope it doesn’t take 20 minutes worth of footage to cover it.

Everyone can smell the chocolate and everyone loves the chocolate.

Sharlene says The Westrens had got a drubbing from Shannan for participating in Temptation previously. So Sharlene puts her hands under the table right away to keep them away.

Emma says her and Meg had already decided not to participate in Temptation, no matter what it was.
Meg then puts her hand into the bowl and she picks one button up and holds it up in front of her, then rustles them around a little bit, dropping some, but she doesn’t put any in her mouth.

Kellie says Moons had also decided not to take part in Temptation but when she saw the pictures of her kids she decided to have one.
Jodie’s not planning on participating but she eventually finds one has managed to get into her mouth… and then why not a few more?!

Sarah eats one, hoping to get to visit her family and get immunity. Hopefully she’ll stop there…

Sharlene’s sorely tempted because she misses Emma a lot. Lara tells us they’ve had a bit of tension over the past year but now Sharlene’s really starting to appreciate Emma with the time away, apparently.

Emma’s trying not to laugh as she’s realised Meg’s not really eating. Sarah’s started her own little mindgame – dipping her fingers into the bowl on a regular ten count, not eating any. She’s hoping she’s not distracting anyone on the Black Team.

But it seems both Kellie and Jodie are the only ones falling for it as both continue eating more buttons.

Damien knows that if he started eating he wouldn’t stop so he’s not partaking of even one. Joe says he won’t jeopardise his weight so he won’t do it either.

Leigh’s a big girl when it comes to chocolate. He says he loves sitting around eating chocolate and watching sad movies!

Jodie decides to eat 6, figuring that people will eat 1 or 5 but no more than that.

Kellie’s prepared to eat 50. 50!

Really thought Sarah would be the idiot Moon again. I apologise!

Wonder if any of them are any good at sleight of hand? Could totally palm them and not really eat the calories. Sure, it’s cheating, but Immunity!

Kellie’s eating heaps and heaps of buttons because she can hear someone else eating a lot of buttons… but it’s probably Sarah. Good work, ladies!

Kellie’s pretty much shovelling them in now. Seriously. One after another after another disappears into her gob.

Finally the blindfolds come off and Kellie’s looking the most guilty of all.

Hayley announces that only two families did not take part in Temptation – The Duncans and The Challenors.

Moons and Westrens both participated. Sharlene’s horrified. She figures it was probably Craig wanting to go see his daughter which she could sort of understand.
Lara’s surprised and looks around… then they finally realise it’s Leigh. Why?! His girlfriend and both parents are there. Who’s he going to go home and see?!

Fortunately he only had one button. He played strategically in the hopes that one button, 10 calories, might get him the win. So Sharlene smiles and nods at him. Lara’s smiling as she stares some tiny daggers at him.

The Moons had all said they wouldn’t take part in Temptation and as it turns out, three of them did. Rebecca’s the only one who didn’t.

Kellie, Jodie and Sarah all did. Woeful.
Rebecca’s very angry, she tells us.

Sarah also only ate one button.
Kellie asks who was making all the noise then? Sarah laughs and says it was her. Kellie looks sick. Have we learned our lesson yet?

Jodie ate 6 chocolate buttons worth 60 calories.

Kellie looks horrified.

Jodie’s 6 wasn’t even close to enough to win.

Kellie ate a grand total of 118 buttons.

ONE. HUNDRED. AND. EIGHTEEN.

1,180 calories!

Definitely the stupidest of The Moons this week!

Congratulations Kellie, you’ve won Immunity! And can take your slightly fatter arse home for a night, thus missing out on more training and good food and giving you less time to work off those calories!

Oh, but you get to see your boys. That totally makes it worth it, right?

Kellie says yes. She needs the pickup, she says. She’s hoping to see her 9 month old walking around when she gets home.

After another ad break Kellie’s off to see her family.
Then she arrives and sees her family. Her 9 month old is a ranga!

Awww, kisses and cuddles all round.

Kellie’s husband, Warwick, says she’s looking fantastic. She says she’s lost 16kg.

She’s actually running around in the park with her son, which she’s never done with him before. And having the baby fall asleep in her arms and then put him in his cot was wonderful for her.

The trainers rock up to Camp as a group again. Tiff says she immediately notices Jarrod and Kellie are gone.
Tiff was expecting Jarrod to be gone due to all the talk about him being a threat and she’s not worried about him at all – she knows he can do it on the outside.

Then it’s time to talk about Temptation.
Lara explains what happened. Kellie ate 118 buttons and got to go home and see her family.

Steve looks stunned but manages to ask who else participated. Sarah announces her 1 and Jodie announces her 6.
Steve is disgusted. He asks them when they’re going to wake up and learn it’s about changing their lives. They can’t even survive training sessions and move properly and do exercises correctly. They all cry standing on the scales and being below the Yellow Line and they have to send someone home, etc. Steve says they haven’t learned anything yet. They don’t have the discipline to control themselves, how’re they going to go in the real world. There’s Temptation in the real world and which way are they going to turn!

Steve says he’s getting sick and tired of it, hearing about it every week and he and the other trainers get angry about it and yet it’s not sinking in.

Rebecca says she’s disappointed in her team. She’s sorry to her team, but she sat there with the temptation and the emotion but she kept telling herself she has to overcome it.
Steve says that’s what he was trying to get across with his first point. Shannan tells her it’s very good to hear that from her.

Jodie knows they’re going to cop it in training today because they always say they won’t do Temptation and today they have.
Steve tells them what the training was going to be but due to the Temptation participation, he’s adding some burpees to the routine.
And they also have to make up for Kellie being missing!

Steve says three of his contestants still have a foot at home and a foot there. They need to be there completely to change their lives.

Steve asks Jodie what was going through her head at Temptation. Why’d she want to go home? She wanted to see her boy on his birthday. Though she struggled to tell Steve that at first.
Steve says that he can understand that. He’s got kids of his own (REALLY?!) and he’s been away from birthdays and stuff. But he thinks the best birthday present is the future she’ll have with her son, which Rebecca echoes.
But Jodie feels guilty for being away.

Steve says they’ll look back on all this and wonder why they were ever acting that way to start with. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Steve tells them to have a talk amongst themselves about what they expect from their team and make sure Kellie’s on the same page when she gets back.

Leigh’s a little scared by training today, after seeing how pissed Shannan was.
Shannan says they’d had such a good week and then Leigh goes and takes Temptation. FROWNY FACE.

“It was only one.” “WHO BLOODY CARES, YOU’RE THE BIGGEST LOSER!” Shannan cracks up and gives him a big hug and tells them all that he couldn’t be happier or more proud of them right now. Biggest Loser last week and his name is on the winner board, nobody can ever take that away from him.
He’s also proud of Sharlene and Craig for doing the right thing and not participating in Temptation. And proud of Leigh for manning up last week… And Lara is unstoppable!

Shannan tells us it’s no coincedence they’re at the top of the leader board. They’ve eaten right, they’ve done the exercise and they’ve played the game with integrity and respect.

And then it’s time for training.

And Shannan repeats his Blue Team Rules – control the controllables and let the variables take care of themselves.

Shannan regales us with stories of how he and Sharlene butted heads at the start but now we’re starting to see the real Sharlene. Sharlene feels alive again, she says. Her life is going to a positive place.

At the end of the session Shannan says it’s time for a treat! Shannan and Craig grab a big rope and start the girls skipping!
Then Sharlene and Lara have taken over and all three boys skip in the middle at once… at least until Craig falls over the rope and laughs.

Kellie finally arrives back at the house. She’s feeling a bit nervous, not sure how the other girls will feel about her taking Temptation. Rebecca’s still pretty annoyed.
Kellie still ate properly and drank water instead of diet coke and burned off the calories on the crosstrainer at home.

Then the girls tell Kellie about how pissed The Commando was about all their blunders. Kellie’s a little nervous but she doesn’t think he’ll be able to take the smile off her face.

Family Weigh-In time.

Family that wins this week will get to select the Champions at the Contest again.

Westrens were in first place last time, for those who’ve forgotten.

Duncans will be first to weigh-in!
Jarrod’s looking pretty thin, Emma says. Jarrod’s first meal on the outside was a steak hamburger, apparently.

Jarrod Previous: 118.7kg
Jarrod Current: 121.6kg
Jarrod GAIN: 2.9kg

The girls aren’t pleased!

Duncan Start: 537.5kg
Duncan Previous:
Duncan Loss:

No. We’re not finding out tonight. We’ve run out of time in a pre-recorded show!

Tomorrow night we find out what else Jarrod has been up to, we see the rest of the families weigh in and then the trainers will be sitting in boats in the pool while contestants answer questions. I guess each wrong answer leads to another bucket of water in the boats, last afloat wins?
