TBL 6×16: The Contest’s Friday Finish, Finally.
Previously on The Biggest Loser the Super Duper Epic Contest Of Returning Contestant To The Game Contest Of Awesomeness started.
Tonight we find out who wins the bloody thing, finally.
Also, the weekly Challenge gets going. Bet you we don’t find out who wins that tonight!
Kellie and Joe are still cycling like psychopaths. Tiffiny’s screaming at Kellie to bring back her ninja, still. Nathaniel’s still telling Joe that he’s got to bring back Damien. Steve’s telling Kellie the others are screaming for her. Michelle’s screaming everything she can think of at Joe to try and motivate him.
Joe seems to have 500m to go when Kellie has less than 800m? It’s looking like Joe’s going to get there.
Lots more screaming, lots more “keep going!” And then Joe clicks over the 10km mark and Michelle throws her hands up in the air with a big grin on her face.
Despite losing everyone is extremely proud of Kellie’s effort, since she was ahead of Joe for quite a while and was keeping up with him throughout, a very impressive effort.
So The Challenors win the Super Contest. Big surprise!
Joe dedicates his win to Damien. Like that was a surprise to anyone. His name was thrown about every minute or so.
The Challenors have won the power to bring someone back – Greg, Damien or Sarah-Jayne.
Joe doesn’t hesitate at all, telling Hayley that Damien will be coming back.
Joe says the other guys talk about family and they voted Damien out, blah blah blah. They didn’t want to hear his side of the story.
Well, they did hear it. And you lied to their faces. Let’s not beat around the bush, Joe.
Anyway, then they’re all sitting around the lounge room and Damien waddles in. YAY! Big hug for Nathaniel and Joe and then lots of hugs from all the girls.
Emma says it was a little bittersweet, since she liked seeing Damien back but would have liked to have Sarah-Jayne back.
Lara’s very happy to see Damien back after the elimination. She knew that Damien didn’t have any hard feelings after the elimination since they had a big hug afterwards.
Jarrod says Damien being back will make Red a bigger threat because Damien’s been pulling all their big numbers.
Michelle arrives with the other trainers and then goes off to find her team. At a run. And then she sees that Damien is back and she’s nearly crying. Gives him a huge hug and Mish is overall very, very happy.
Shannan hears that some of the contestants missed training this morning. Who? Black Team. All of them. Weak.
Steve tells them that if they won’t get out of bed the other contestants should drag them out on their butts!
Shannan lays down the law – they’re there to lose weight. Don’t have to go shopping, don’t have to meet friends or go to the pub. They wake up and they train. That’s it. They’ve done the math and they’ve set achievable goals for them all but if they’re going to achieve them, they’ve got to follow their plans.
Jarrod’s pretty disappointed, he tells us, by the Moon family not training today. He figures his head is the one on the chopping block if they fall below the line.
Tiff takes the three families for training first today. She has them joggling their feet and waving their hands in front of them and screaming while they’re bent over then lifting their knees and pumping hands in the air.
Tiff says she saw Sarah give up very early and that was very disappointing.
Then they’re doing paired situps and, big surprise, Sarah’s slacking off there too. And Jarrod’s noticed, telling us he doesn’t think she’s having a proper go at it.
Jodie says that she thinks fingers are being pointed at the Moon family and they’ve got to watch their backs.
Erm, or you could just harden the fuck up and do the damn training!
Shannan’s pushing Jodie during weight training, telling her to think of her kids while she’s training, push harder, 8 more reps. You can do it!
Shannan says that Jodie’s survived breast cancer but that had played havoc with her self confidence, lost her self worth which lead to overeating.
Shannan’s trying to get her to open up a bit more today.
Apparently Jodie didn’t talk about her breast cancer much at the time, she thought she could deal with it herself. She wasn’t so brave at home, just when she went out the door.
Shannan thinks she coped in a weird way, putting on the brave face outside the home and then breaking down in front of her family. Jodie says it feels better to be more open about it all.
Leigh’s weightloss disappointed Shannan last week. He’d been training a lot last week so Shannan figures it must be something in his diet.
Looking at Leigh’s diary it all looks okay so far… until Leigh says that he forgot to include two pieces of bread that he’d used to make a sandwich out of his steak and veggies for lunch. Shannan tells him what’s in the food diary has to be real.
What about his dinners? Red meat for dinner. Is that the diet Shannan set? Noooo.
What about four scrambled eggs for dinner? Yeah, that happened too, Leigh admits.
Shannan says that scrambled eggs aren’t on the meal plan and you can’t mess with the nutrition. He shouldn’t have to come and ask them about it!
Shannan reminds them that they had a close call last week and it was almost one of the Westrens who had to go home.
Damien’s Michelle’s focus in training today. She wants to make sure his head is back in the right place to be at Camp Biggest Loser.
Don’t get many chances to come back into the game and so he needs to make the most of it, Mish says. It could have been Sarah-Jayne or even Greg who returned instead.
How’s Damien’s nutrition been? Steak. He had chips on his first day out.
“Why?!” “I just did!”
Damien says it’s so easy to get lost back in the bad place when he got out.
But he’s not shying away from having made the mistake. He says he only made the mistake once, the rest of his nutrition was fine.
Michelle then does her line about willpower being a muscle and the more you exercise it the stronger it gets. Hooray!
And after another very long ad break it’s time for this week’s Challenge.
The families all arrive on a grassy oval where Hayley is waiting to greet them.
Hayley then says that since Damien isn’t officially back in the game until after the weigh-in, he has to sit out of the Challenge.
The winning team will take a 1kg weight advantage into the weigh-in. 1kg PER PERSON.
So Challenors winning will get them 2kg advantage. 3 Families winning gets them an 11kg advantage. Jeepers!
Each team has a stack of water bottles that need to be moved from one end of the field to the other – 50 metres. First team to get their water down the field, wins.
Each team has 200L of water per person to move. Each team has to load their sled and drag it across the field. And to keep things fair the 3 Families Team’s sled is over 5 times bigger due to their bottles being 5 times greater in quantity.
Each team has to select their sled pulling team and their sled loading team. And once selected they can’t change it.
Kellie tells us that Jarrod said there’d be 6 loaders and 5 pullers, which didn’t make a lot of sense to her but that’s what they decided.
Nathaniel’s doing the loading for Challenors. Joe’s doing the unloading/pulling.
3 Families has Jodie, Sharlene, Lara, Emma, Kellie and Rebecca doing the loading. Pulling will be Craig, Leigh, Jarrod, Sarah and Meg.
Take your marks!
Ready, set, go!
Some of the 3 Families loaders are trying to load the sled neatly, others are just piling them in as fast as possible.
Apparently the sled can’t leave the loading area if there’s any bottles on the ground. They’re all pretty hectic on 3 Families side. Good times!
Meanwhile the Challenors are trying to do their moving thing. Joe’s calling down encouragement from the pulling end, as is Damien.
Getting a bunch of replayed footage today, too.
Joe finally starts pulling his load down the field and unloading their first set of bottles.
Joe also acknowledges that Jarrod’s his biggest target. He thinks it’ll be one of the two going home.
Damien’s trying to offer encouragement and instruction to Joe. Joe’s finding him a bit annoying.
Damien asks him what’s the hardest part and Joe says him talking at Joe!
3 Families are having trouble getting the sled back down the loading end but then they start a “One, Two, PULLLL” chant and get their shit together at last.
Challenors are on their third load. Joe says it’s one thing to pull the bottles across, then you’ve got to unload them as well and his body is getting tired.
Nathaniel’s starting to feel like he’s running out of energy, too. And he’s worried because he thinks the other team getting the advantage would put them above the Yellow Line.
Damien’s urging Nathaniel along, telling him to get the fire in his belly. Nathaniel tells him to shut up already! Damien says he’s just trying to help.
Then Nathaniel tells him to go back up the other end and don’t come back. Which Damien ignores at first and then waddles off when Nathaniel insists.
Damien says to Joe that Nathaniel is all fired up now that he’s pissed him off. Joe suggests going back down there and do it again. Ordinarily I would think Joe was being a mean bastard but I think he just wanted Damien to go away as well!
Meg’s calling to her family that they need a spotter to get the bottles that are falling on the ground as they load them in.
The pulling team is calling for smaller loads in the sled as they grow more tired because it’s proving too tough to heave it down the field.
3 Families are still regretting their decision to have fewer pullers. Would be especially regretting Sarah as a puller since she’s doing little more than holding onto the rope.
3 Families are on their fifth load though. The Loaders have a good rhythm going… but they’re still loading the sled up a bit too much, much to the chagrin of the pullers.
At one point they call for them to stop loading and someone threw a bunch of extra bottles in. They reiterate their request for fewer bottles. So Sharlene throws another bottle in. Crazy!
Damien decides that since they’re past the halfway mark he’ll go have another chat to Nathaniel. Smart move!
Nathaniel tells him again to go back up the other end and not come back.
Damien says not to talk to him like he did before, okay? And Nathaniel tells Damien not to put him down like he was before.
Damien says he was trying to encourage him.
Nathaniel then tells him to stop talking and go away. If he won’t go away then Nathaniel will.
Damien still stands around. So Nathaniel walks off!
Sunday night, will there be any making up between the families?
Then another Weigh-In. And another Elimination where just one team will have… THE POWAHHHHHHHH!
