Previously, Daina went home and I had a sad. :-(

Tonight, Temptation! And it looks like a bit of a fairground attraction with clowns and chocolate wheels and if there’s no fairy floss involved I will have another sad to add to my collection!

Another day, another mystery David says. But he’s up for any challenge they’re throwing at them today.

They walk in to the Temptation room and it’s all decked out like a circus. Clowns everywhere, merry go round ponies, strong man statues… and tables full of chocolate-y treats!

Hayley says today’s Temptation not only has Immunity on offer, it also has $50,000 worth of prizes to win!
And Temptation will be extra super tempting today. A rare opportunity to control the game is up for grabs, apparently.
This week it’s all about going head to head. Each contestant will be taking on another contestant in a series of challenges through the week, culminating in a final showdown at the weigh-in. The only way to keep yourself safe is to beat your opponent on the scales by recording a higher weightloss percentage.
Which is why there’ll be four of them facing Elimination, this week!

So, who’ll be facing who? That’s up to today’s winner. And they’ll also get to sit out of the head to head contest. Very tempting!

First you spin the wheel closest to Hayley. 1 in 33 chance of getting Immunity from that wheel. Plus ten prizes worth over $5,000 combined.

But there’s a price to pay for a spin – eat 1 chocolate, worth 77 calories.
So most people will be having a shot at least at that level.

Everyone’s standing on a disk that indicates their position in line.

Shannon gets the opportunity first. He tells us that he came there with the intention of not taking Temptation and won’t eat anything in order to win something.
So he declines!

Joe says normally he’d say no but since it’s only 77 calories, he’ll have a crack.

Joe’s spin ends up on… nothing!
“The chocolate was good…”

Jarna loves chocolate so she’s right up to the table right away.
And doesn’t win anything with her spin, either.

Phil’s turn. He also indulges. And wins nothing.

Phoebe declines.

Rick accepts. Nobody is surprised. As Joe says, 77 calories is nothing for Rick to burn off.
Rick ends up winning nothing, too.

Caitlin spins and nearly wins something Calvin Klein-y… but doesn’t!

David has a shot too since nobody has won and, as so many have said before, it’s only 77 calories!
And we have a winner! He’s won an Avanti dumbbell package from Workout World worth $199. Nice and useful instead of a stupid flatscreen TV like is usually offered…

Next wheel, 7 prizes totalling over $30,000.
One in sixteen chance of winning immunity.
But you must eat 5 profiteroles with a total of 500 calories. Yikes!

Shannon turns it down.
Joe has no idea what a profiterole is but he’s tight on his calories for the day so he turns it down.
Jarna also turns it down.

Phil says, “You bet your favourite pair of swimming goggles I’m having a crack, Hails!”
He polishes them off and says as he swalloed the last one he thought the other 4 would come back up behind it.
And for his efforts? NOTHING!

Phoebe turns down the chance again.

Rick is next to accept the chance. Rick also has no idea what they are.
First one he quite enjoyed, stuffing it in his gob whole.
The others also follow, whole. Joe remarks that this may be how he got fat.
Ya think?!

Rick spins the wheel and around and around it goes… and stops one short of Immunity!

Caitlin and Lisa turn down the profiteroles.

David takes a chance on the profiteroles because he doesn’t think he’ll be able to handle the final table and he says they’ve not had anything like that in weeks and the sugar hits him hard but he gets through it…

A one thousand calorie chocolate mousse.

Um, okay, I will eat all of them. I don’t need any spins. Just let me eat them.

Shannon passes again, as does Joe. Joe would love to see the races but he’s not prepared to eat 1000 calories to do it.
Jarna also passes, saying she’s leaving it to Phil to have a go at it.

And Phil is, indeed, going to have a crack at it. Crazy.
He gives the wheel a big spin after managing to get through his mousse.

And he wins the trip to China! And is ecstatic about it. Am guessing he and the Chucky Doll will be going to China after the show is done…

Phoebe also turns it down, saying it didn’t seem worth it.

But Rick’s going to give it another shot.
Joe’s hoping Rick wins the F1 tickets so Rick can take him to it!

But no, Rick ate 1,577 calories in total only to get nothing on all three wheels. Sucker!

Caitlin and Lisa turn it down too.

But David’s going to have a crack at it. He says there’s only two things left on the board, the F1 race or immunity, so 50-50 chance.

But David’s spin also ends on Nothing and he doesn’t get another spin so it’s not really 50-50 chance at all, twit!

Since nobody has won, Hayley will offer free spins by pulling names out of a hat. Except it’s not really a free spin it seems they’ll have to eat another chocolate mousse.
Crazy. Don’t do it.
Shannon turns it down first.

Then David accepts it again. Sheer madness.

But he polishes off another 1,000 calories and spins again… and it finally lands on Immunity!
So at least his 2,577 calories of empty calories won’t have gone to waste, I guess.

So now David has control over the game for this week, getting to choose who faces off against whom.
David knows he’ll probably upset some people but that’s sort of inevitable…

First pairing: Lisa and Jarna.
Err, okay.

Second pair: Shannon and Phoebe.

Third: Joe and Phil.
Hmm.

Fourth: Caitlin and Rick.

David’s hoping that his choices will give him the most power in the Elimination Room and anyone in the house would have done the same thing if they had Immunity.

Tomorrow night emotions run high as they prepare for a head to head battle. Jarna’s very upset at having to go up against her best friend. Awww!
