TBL Australia 4×71: The Final The Walk, Finally.
Previously on The Biggest Loser, Tiffany won the “power” of The Walk.
But will it really be any power at all?
Tonight, the final Walk of the year. And apparently it’ll be the biggest twist that’s been saved to last.
Only the “twist” is just a repeat of earlier twists…
Tiffany heads off for The Walk right at the start of the episode. Maybe they’ll actually push through a Walk really quickly for once!
Nahhhh, no chance.
Michelle and Shannan arrive while Tiff is off on her Walk. Michelle seems aware that someone must be getting sent home and when Shannan walks in and notices Tiffany missing, he thinks she’s been eliminated. But no, she’s just on The Walk.
They finally tell them the prize for the challenge was The Walk. Michelle says it’s not a prize, it’s punishment!
Sharif says that the word “executioner” came up and Michelle says that doesn’t sound good.
Shannan’s smart though and says not to give it a second thought. Sitting around talking about it won’t help them lose weight!
Shannan decides to take Sharif and Stewart for training today in the big gym because he’s aware there’s some animosity between the two so he’s hoping to sort that out once and for all!
Shannan has a chat with them beforehand and says they’re going to bring whatever bad blood there’s been it’s going to be put to the test today.
Sharif says to us that Stewart has made it clear he’s there for the money, but there’s a lot of people who didn’t get a chance on the show who wanted it for the weightloss, not the money. And Stewart’s philosophy irks Sharif.
Shannan has them doing a small circuit today, pushups followed by chinups followed by power lifts.
Sharif’s dominating the session, Shannan tells us. He’s faster, stronger and can endure more than Stewart.
At one point Sharif is encouraging Stewart, which Shannan says was his plan all along.
Now Shannan sets up a goal at either end of the gym. Stewart’s going to play for the pride of NSW while Sharif plays for the pride of Queensland.
Sharif’s got a tackle pad and has to bump Stewart away from the goal line while Stewart runs with a ball and tries to touch it down over the line.
Stewart says he could tell Sharif was looking forward to the physical contact.
Stewart manages to get past Sharif eventually, but Sharif gets a few good hits in. During the second attempt Sharif gets even better hits in and Stewart is already flagging. Sharif keeps pushing Stewart away, even once Stewart is a fair ways from the goal. Sharif’s not letting up at all!
Stewart then starts whining to us about his knee. Stewart eventually gives up and says the Medics had said he wasn’t allowed to be going sideways on his leg. Shannan says he thought the medic said he couldn’t jump up and down on it and Stewart says no he can’t go sideways either. I don’t think Shannan’s buying it though. He tells us he’d never do anything to jeopardise his chances. If Stewart wants to scale things back a bit, that’s okay, we can do that. But Stewart wanted out of that training session as soon as possible.
Stewart starts to head off while Shannan asks him what the fear is and Stewart says it’s not fear, he doesn’t want to break himself.
Eventually Stewart walks out, saying he’s going off to see the medic.
Stewart says if it’s the first time someone has walked out on one of his training sessions well there’s a world of firsts out there. He doesn’t feel proud about it, or silly about it. He felt it was necessary though.
We don’t hear from the medic though.
Hey, another catch up with second chance couples, cool!
Tanya is from Melbourne, Conrad’s from Adelaide. Tanya wants to be happy with herself and have good self esteem.
Conrad’s start weight was 166kg and now he’s 144kg. Tanya started at 129kg and now she weighs 110kg.
Steady progress. Good for them!
Jodie is from Sydney and started at 100.1kg. Kellie’s starting at 110.3kg and she’s from Cairns. And they’re sisters!
Jodie’s lost 12.6kg and Kellie’s lost 12.3kg.
Kellie’s loving exercise now. And she’s fitting into some size 14 dresses already!
Time for Bob and Nathan’s Last Chance Training. Can bet it’s going to be a doozy!
They have to climb up a mountain in a couple of stages.
First stage, pull/push a quad bike up a hill.
Nathan is, of course, doing great at a strength based activity.
Next stage, wheelbarrows full of rocks. Up the next bit of the hill!
Nathan’s pushing ahead while Bob struggles along behind. But Bob’s determined to get to the top though. Whatever the challenge is that’s set, he’s got to do it!
Next is a pair of yokes with heavy sandbags on them. They’re walking in single file with the yokes bridging the gap between them. And Bob’s clearly finding it rough going right from the start. Pain’s all over his face.
Bob says the sandbags were swaying which was unbalancing them. Nathan comes further forward, which makes them sway more, but let’s Nathan take more of the weight.
Bob’s struggling a lot and then he realises the world is starting to spin around him.
Commando Steve says if he needs to let them go, let them go. Bob starts to fall over in almost a dead faint while Nathan tries to stop the yokes from knocking them both out. Steve calls for the Medic who manages to partially catch Bob as he keels over, perilously close to a steep drop off. He’d’ve fetched up on some trees a short way down but I don’t fancy anyone wanted to help lift his weight back up the slope, especially if he broke anything!
Once the yokes are on the ground Nathan immediately rushes over to Bob as well, despite the edge looming.
Nathan checks on him while Commando Steve gets him some water.
And once Bob’s up and about again, Steve decides to leave the yokes behind. Quite sensible of him, really!
They set off at a slow jog up the rest of the mountain.
They finally reach the top of the mountain. Well done!
Nathan and Bob are both exhausted by the effort.
Commando says they’re both going back to Camp Biggest Loser to compete against the others and themselves for the spot in the Finale.
Who’ll win? That’s between them. Only time and the scales will tell. Until then, keep it up. “And I’ll see you when I saw you.” And The Commando just walks off.
Leaving a surprised look on the face of Bob and Nathan. But gone he is!
Tiffany’s still Walking. Just in case you hadn’t guessed.
Tiffany finally arrives at Ajay’s Lookout.
But there’s only one urn!
Ajay says the contents will tear apart this final week.
Tiffany reaches in and pulls out… a crow! No, wait, it’s just sitting on a nearby tree.
Tiffany feels around under the flowers and can’t find a disk. Instead she finds a briefcase. Erm, okay. It has writing underneath it. I wish I had high definition on my TV, I bet I could read it then!
Tiffany is then instructed to turn over the case and read out what is written.
She turns over the case but we don’t hear her read out what is written. We’re going to have to wait on that, obviously.
Ajay tells Tiffany the briefcase she holds does not belong to her. What it contains is as mysterious as it will be dramatic. Oooooooooooooooooooooh!
Stewart says the case looks like it’s full of cash. He’s doing sums and figures it’s probably $10 or $15 thousand. And if so, he wants it!
Sammy says to us that she was wishing Tiffany would just tell them what it is. You’re not alone, Sam!
Tiffany turns the briefcase around to show them and… ad break! Naturally.
It says… choose one of the bracelets, double or nothing, and give it to another contestant.
Cam currently holds the Nothing bracelet, Sam the Double.
And whichever bracelet is chosen can go to either herself, Sharif or Stewart.
Sammy says to us that as soon as she heard that she felt like asking Tiffany if she wanted her to take off the bracelet now and give it to her already?
But that wasn’t the end of what Ajay said. Whoever she takes the bracelet from will receive the contents of the briefcase, whatever the contents might be.
Could be something good, could be something bad!
Tiffany confirms that she is, of course, taking the Double bracelet off Sammy. And giving it to herself, of course.
Pretty much a no-brainer at this stage of the game. She’s a fairly safe bet to make it to the final now and she’d be crazy not to, given that she has the chance to take it.
Stewart and Sharif both say it’s a smart decision.
This is actually the second time Tiffany has been the bearer of the Double bracelet.
Tiffany’s still a little nervous about what’s in the briefcase, of course.
She says to Sammy that she doesn’t know what’s in it but she’s hoping it’s something good.
Sammy starts opening the case and sees what’s inside. And does not look impressed.
But we’re going to have to wait through another 4 minute ad break to find out!
Tiffany can hardly watch.
Sam opens the case again and there’s a disk inside it!
She picks it up and turns it over and reads it. On it is written, “You must eliminate one contestant. You have one hour.”
Bye Stewart or Sharif!
Tiffany says she’s sorry to Sammy. Cam says that that’s why they never went for Temptation, they never wanted that power.
Sammy looks crushed. Verging on tears. She tells us she’d’ve been more okay with being instantly eliminated herself than having to send someone else home.
Sammy does start crying and Tiffany keeps asking her not to cry. Tiffany’s started crying too!
Sam says she just never wanted to be solely responsible for ending someone’s journey.
Sharif is expecting the Alliance to have some input on Sammy’s decision and since he’s the one most directly in their way, he’s kind of expecting it could be him.
Cam and Tiff are both hot for sending Sharif home. They figure they can all beat Stewart at the next weigh-in, meaning they could get rid of him at the final elimination.
Cam also says that they’d all prefer to keep Sharif in the game over Stewart, because Sharif’s a good dude. But they’ve got to think about the competition.
Sam’s not sure what to do though. She decides to go have a chat to Sharif first.
Sharif says to her that it’s the worst case scenario, huh?
Sammy decides to be completely honest with Sharif. She says to him that she couldn’t handle seeing Stewart get further than Sharif. But she’s also thinking he’s the biggest threat. If he stays he’ll almost certainly push herself or Cam under the Yellow Line.
Sharif’s getting a bit of deja vu. He’s already been sent home via an instant elimination, so this would be the second time. Poor bugger.
Sharif says Sam should also consider that Stewart has been working two jobs to support Amanda and the family (one job to pay the bills and feed the family, one job to feed Amanda?) which is why he’s been so keen to have the second opportunity. That’s why he talks about the money so much.
Sharif says to her that she shouldn’t worry what other people will think but decide which one she’d be more comfortable with.
Stewart says to Sam that he and Sharif are both prepared for the possibility of leaving. But in terms of the game, Stewart’s not far from where he needs to be. While Sharif’s still got the weight to lose and is doing well.
Stewart also reminds Sammy that he’s pulled out of a training session so he probably won’t do great on the scales.
Stewart says to us that he was hoping to con her. “That injury might have got surprisingly better.”
Bleh, definitely a scumbag.
Sharif has his bags packed, though he’s hoping he’ll be staying.
Stewart says the flag is at half mast (who died? you’re at an old army barracks, show some fucking respect) and they knew someone would be going home.
Sammy’s still dithering. She wonders whether she should vote with her head and get rid of Stewart. Or vote with her heart and get rid of Stewart so they can keep Sharif.
Sharif says to Ajay he’s feeling as vulnerable as he did the last time he got eliminated. He’s aware the Alliance seems him as a huge threat so he’s prepared to be sent home.
Stewart says he’s less of a threat than Sharif is, but that’s the only positive he has going for him. So he’s not feeling safe at all.
Sammy says the burden is horrible. She’s not enjoying it and she didn’t want it, but she’s going to try and make the right decision.
Sammy then has to make her decision.
Sam says some people there were probably hoping they were making the decision. But Sam’s not thinking that way herself.
She says everyone knows it comes down to Sharif or Stewart and they’re both massive threats.
Everyone plays the game differently and there’s never been a more “head or heart” decision.
She’s really sorry, but she’ll be sending home… STEWART?! Really? Awesome!
Sharif looks stunned and relieved.
Stewart says he was shocked at hearing his name, thinking the reasoning given by her were reasons for sending Sharif home.
Uh, no…
Sharif says he’s shocked, but grateful that Sammy made the decision she was happy with.
Sammy says Sharif thought he’d be going home but it feels better knowing she made the decision that was right for her, not anyone else.
Bye Stewart! Go away now!
Err, I mean, say your goodbyes and leave Fat Camp forever.
Handshakes and hugs and kisses all round.
Stewart says he’s backing Tiffany to win. Sharif retorts that he’s backing Tiffany as well!
Ajay then tells them they’re the last four contestants at Fat Camp. In case all the weightloss has damaged their ability to count.
One more weigh-in. One more elimination. The end is in sight!
Sammy says it was the right decision for her to eliminate Stewart, but she’s not sure it was the right decision for Tiffany.
Tomorrow night… oooh, bio age update!
Cam’s very excited by his and apparently Tiffany’s is going to be the best turnaround Mr Bio Age Guy has ever seen!
Also, it’s Fatties in the kitchen again. Cooking three course meals for their trainers.
I hope there’s a prize. Not for the contestants, to make Shannan and Michelle’s food poisoning worthwhile!
