TBL Australia 4×66: Eliminated Contestants Super Challenge Night Of DOOM

Previously on The Biggest Loser, Holly, Mel, Amanda, Tania and Ben exited the game again and Sharif won his white shirt-y ticket to try and win his way back into the game.

Tonight, big super challenge race of DOOM. Lucky Meaghan’s getting to do both Super Challenges. Sweet!

The remaining eliminated contestants hop in the cars and get driven to… an island? Hmm.
It’s Cockatoo Island, in Sydney Harbour.
Apparently the island has a colourful convict past.

Ajay doesn’t look very convict-y though. Hot pink, sleeveless dress. She’s looking great!

Today’s the contestants final chance at winning a shirt and getting to the wildcard weigh-in. Two shirts on offer today.
Meaghan wants one of the shirts. As does Stewart. And presumably every other contestant who’ll be racing today!

They’re going to run past some old houses that have been restored.
Apparently Andrew’s Dad used to work on Cockatoo Island in the shipping yards.

Ajay says they’ll be getting a 10kg ball and chain shackled to their ankles, just like convicts!
They’ll have to run 500m past a campsite, then climb a very steep hill, then they get to a courtyard that has question boards on it. Get the question wrong and you have to head back to the start line and run back for another guess. Ouch!
Get it right and you can grab a ring full of keys to try and unlock your ball and chain with. There seems to be quite a few keys on the keyrings. More than 20, I suspect.

Then you have to do 3 full circuits of Cockatoo Island and each lap you’ll hit another question board. Get it wrong and you have to do another lap.

At the end of the 3 laps there’s a pile of 7 bags of grain. Each weighs 20kg. And each contestant has to shift their 7 bags 75 metres across a lawn.
Once you’ve done that you’ll find a box which has a bottle inside it. The bottle has a phone inside it with a message telling them how to find their escape boat. (Get it? Message in a bottle?)
The first two contestants to get out to the yacht in the harbour will get a white shirt!

Everyone’s looking very determined. Think Ramses’ determination may be a bit of an act.

Then Ajay fires her starter’s pistol and they’re off!

And then after an ad break, Ajay fires her starter’s pistol again and Andrew talks again about not wanting to leave the competition yet. We’ve seen this!

Stewart wants to prove to himself and his family that he’s not a quitter.

Sean takes an early lead at the start of the race, followed by Ramses of all people. Jeda’s having none of that and manages to catch up and pass him pretty easily.

Of course then both Meaghan and Andrew breeze past Jeda and Ramses both. Though Meaghan is finding it rough going, with the chains whacking her leg a lot.

Ramses is already in last place but he’s determined not to give up, regardless of who’s ahead of him.

How many calories are in 10 grams of protein?
Answer: 40 calories!
Sean gets it correct, as does Andrew.

Andrew and Sean both get cracking on unlocking their shackle.

Meaghan also gets it right first time and sees Andrew and Sean already working on their locks.

Stewart has to guess and unfortunately guesses correctly.
Jeda thinks it an easy question and she gets it right first time, too.

Andrew’s about half way through his keys but everyone else is caught up now.
Sean’s first to get his ball off, followed by Stewart and Meaghan.
Then Teresa says bye and scampers, as does Jeda… and then Ramses.

And Andrew’s still trying to get his unlocked. Ouch!

Sean’s in first place, followed by Stewart. Sean’s quite confident in his ability to run.
Meaghan’s in third and hoping to catch up.
Then we see Andrew finally get his shackle off… but he’s dead last. So he’s going to have a lot of work to do to catch everyone back up.

But it doesn’t take him long to overtake Ramses, who is already down to plodding along.
Andrew also passes Teresa and Jeda in short order.

Full milk contains more protein than skim milk.
Answer: False!

Sean gets it right and he’s quite pleased to still be in the lead.

Stewart guesses and, again, gets it right. Dangit!

As Sean goes past Meaghan he calls out to her that skim milk has more protein than full cream.
Meaghan can barely hear him though. All she gets is that “the milk has more protein”. Uhoh!
Sean says he wants Meaghan to get a white shirt with him so they can get the six who went to New Zealand back together again!

Meaghan eventually guesses True and is wrong. She’s now wondering if Sean gave her the wrong answer or if she misheard or what. But mostly she’s just thinking she shouldn’t trust Sean again!

Ramses has managed to get back up to a run. Andrew’s confident he can catch up with 2 laps still to go.

Unfortunately, Andrew picks True for the milk question and has to go redo his lap.

Teresa gets to the question and knows it, of course. As does Jeda.
I’m thinking Ramses guessed, but he got it right and that’s the bit that counts!

Sean’s still in the lead of course. Followed by Stewart, Teresa, Jeda, Meaghan, Ramses and Andrew.

Which contains less carbs?
2 slices of mixed grain bread or 30g of corn flakes?

Sean picks the bread, which is wrong, so he has to go do another lap!

Stewart’s quite pleased to see Sean having to go back again.
But he doesn’t know the answer to the question either.

Eventually he guesses corn flakes, which is right of course. Now he’s in first, purely on luck.

Sean manages to get back to the question before anyone else overtakes him, now he just has to catch back up to Stewart!

Stewart’s impressed he’s winning the super challenge. He used to make excuses to drive places, even 300m to the local shops!

Teresa’s now in third place. But she’s struggling to remember the answer to the question. She doesn’t want to get a question wrong… and she doesn’t do so, she picks the corn flakes.

As Jeda heads to the question board she asks Teresa for the answer and Teresa, interestingly, says she’s wanting to play with integrity and gives Jeda the answer – the right side, the corn flakes.
Jeda’s not sure if she believes Teresa though and she doesn’t know the answer herself.
After dancing around on the spot for a bit she finally goes with the corn flakes and thanks Teresa out loud.

Meaghan gets to the board and knows the right answer is corn flakes!
She’s pretty keen for this super challenge not to be another send home affair for her.
She’s trying really hard to catch the people ahead of her.

Ramses is quite fatigued, but manages to get the third question right. And Andrew’s heading back up to answer it. He’s in last place, even behind Ramses. Ouch.
Andrew says he just doesn’t want to finish last at this point.

Stewart’s still leading as they get to the grain sacks.
But Sean isn’t very far behind.

Stewart manages to carry four bags at once to start with while Sean is going for two at a time.

Meaghan goes past Teresa and Jeda. But she’s still a ways behind.
Sean gets his bottle open first. The glass seems quite brittle. Sugar glass, perhaps?

They have to run past the campsite till their boat is in view. They have to row an inflatable raft out to the yacht. Fun!

Meaghan’s using the pick up and throw technique of moving them down the field. She remains hopeful!

And Sunday night on Biggest Loser, we find out who wins the other two White Shirts. Grr!
Also, the elimination weigh-in happens, plus the regular weigh-in leading to the regular elimination!
