TBL Australia 4×55: Weigh-in Room becomes new Singles club – story at 8
Previously on The Biggest Loser Sharif got sent home in an instant elimination.
Plus the weekly challenge involves a whole bunch of pedalling on the spinbikes, with Cameron and Tiffany the final two standing.
Tonight, the conclusion of the challenge. The second weigh-in on Gilligan’s Island and the first weigh-in as singles for the remaining people at Fat Camp.
Who’ll fall below the Yellow Line? Read on to find out!
But first! More recap footage. Sheesh.
Cameron and Tiffany have just gone past the 2 hour mark on the spinbikes. Craziness!
Cam’s hoping to hit 2 hours 30 minutes because he’s been crossing other lines on the sand for a while now.
But he’s sweating heaps and that’s making everything sweatier and eventually enough accumulates on the pedal and he slips off, thus not pedalling anymore and thus he loses to Tiffany!
Michelle and Shannan arrive. But before they can say anything Cam stops them and says Meaghan’s just crook, she’s not been eliminated, so she’s having a lie down. Poor thing!
Then they recap the challenge and the reward being immunity.
They’re asked to guess who’d won. Sean? No. Andrew? No.
Tiffany!
Shannan boggles at Tiffany staying on the spinbike for 2 hours 20 minutes at 80% of her max heart rate – higher, actually! Michelle gives her a high five.
Then Andrew says that almost as amazing was who came second. “Not the Biggest Loser over there? Not Cameron? Nooo!” Shannan’s stoked for him.
Shannan tells us he’s proud of the man Cameron’s becoming.
Last Chance Training with Michelle and Shannan’s original teams now.
Due to Meaghan being unwell, Shannan only has Julie and Sean left.
Shannan says last chance training for Sean today is particularly important, since he’s in trouble on the outside of the alliance.
Shannan’s got them stepping and hopping and jumping over some big goal posts on the ground. Looks like fun!
Sean’s looking a bit glum though. Shannan asks him what’s going on and Sean says he feels vulnerable now the Yellow Line is back.
Shannan tells him it’s simple – stay above the Yellow Line and don’t worry about it! Can’t do anything about the alliance, you can only work as hard as you can.
Towards the end of the session Shannan boggles at Sean’s legs. There’s basically no fat left on them now, it’s all muscle!
Holly and Mel, Day One. Oh my lordy, so fat!
Holly and Mel today… GIGGITY GIGGITY GIGGITY! They’re both looking incredible!
Mel was size 18-20 before the show and she’s now a size 12!
Holly says the photos they took today were amazing and her and Mel look almost radiant!
Mel’s looking forward to blowing everyone away at the Finale. And oh boy are they going to!
Michelle has her people at a small sand hill near the house.
Apparently, last chance training is outdoors today. It’ll be hardcore.
Going out in the sun is hardcore now? Hmm.
Michelle’s got them lugging sandbags, tires and a huge rope… up the top of the hill!
Andrew finds it interesting seeing how far everyone’s come since the early sessions on Fitzroy Island.
Cam says the trainers can never make up their minds. First they want things up a hill, then they want them back down the hill! Cam wishes they’d make up their mind!
At the bottom of the hill again Michelle has them pushing a tire back and forth between them. Cam’s really getting into it, as is Andrew.
Then Michelle has each pair trying to lift their tire above their head. The girls are struggling to get the 10 pushes up into the air. But they keep trying!
Cam’s got lots of complimentary words about Andrew’s strength. Michelle also says that Andrew’s trying real hard to fit in with the others, it’s not nice to be on the outside.
After training Andrew has a chat with Michelle about the likelihood of him going home.
Michelle tells him he’s an incredible competitor and he’s done amazing things. She’d be shocked to see him under the Yellow Line.
Andrew tells us that was good for his self esteem, hearing that Michelle thought he’d done enough work.
Meanwhile, Commando Steve rocks up to the bungalow for a training session.
But Nathan and Bob aren’t there, they’re down on the beach having a bit of a fish.
Without a tackle box, no clue where they’re getting bait from, no idea what they’re going to do with the fish even if they could catch any.
But no, you’re right, that fishing scene was totally believable!
Nathan says the Commando is probably not real happy with them so now he’s going to use those unhappy thoughts to give them a flogging!
Today’s training session is an old school army training type course. Climbing up and over things, up and down ropes, quickstepping through tires, clambering over a cargo net. Climbing underneath a camo net, through the mud!
Bob’s struggling through most of it. Nathan’s loving every minute of it!
After finishing the course forwards and finding out they’ve got to do it all again, Bob says he should have stayed in the old people’s home!
Nathan’s pretty much cruising through the workout while Bob continues falling off things and whatnot.
At one point Nathan is giving a boost up a ramp, shoving his rump up there… until he falls down and ends up in a tangle with Nathan at the bottom. Ouch!
Steve tells them to go clean themselves up because after that they’ve got a weigh-in!
As they walk to the weigh-in… area? It’s in the outdoors so it’s not a room! Bob’s concerned since he and Nathan had very small losses last week with Bob managing 1kg and Nathan only 100 grams.
Nathan goes first this time. He says it’s very important this week because if he had another poor result, he’d be gutted. He’s worked damn hard!
This week: 104.2kg
Loss: 5kg
Much better than last week. He’s almost down to 100kg now and Commando Steve says if he keeps putting in the hard work he’ll get there soon.
Bob’s turn! He’s worried he’ll have a disappointing weight and see Nathan go past him.
This week: 104.9kg
Loss: 9kg
NINE KILOGRAMS! Bob’s ecstatic. I think Commando Steve is too but it’s hard to tell with him.
Bob’s hoping he’ll be under 100kg next week too.
Nathan says Bob was ecstatic, the Commando was ecstatic and Nathan was dumbfounded!
Now it’s time for the weigh-in that actually matters!
Everyone there is nervous too. Particularly the boys, who’re staring down the barrel of an all-girl final!
But first, Ajay has to recap the week for everyone. Snoooooooze.
Tiffany has immunity. Meaning at least one girl will be above the Line. It also means she gets to go first!
Current weight: 80.2kg
Loss: 2kg
Percentage: 2.43%
Just shy of getting into the 70s club! Ajay announces the amount with a bit of amusement in her voice.
Tiffany says it’s been years since she’s been in the 70s. She’s gotten down to 80 before but not cracked it. She entered the house with a goal of losing 55kg and now only needs another 20kg. It’s so close she can almost touch it!
Meaghan’s turn next.
Weight: 80.6kg
Loss: 1.3kg
Percentage: 1.59%
She doesn’t look very happy and Cam sums it up by saying he thought she’d be under the Yellow Line for sure.
Sammy’s turn!
Weight: 87kg
Loss: 2.1kg
Percentage: 2.36%
She’s now in second place behind Tiffany. 31.6kg is her total weightloss so far. She tells us she can hardly believe it!
Sam says to Ajay she saw a beautiful girl inside and out, after the makeover this week.
She’s not going to stop Matt and her from doing things anymore. Her body’s healthier now so her boyfriend suggesting babies is a possibility.
Cam clamps his hands over his ears and Sammy grins and says, “Sorry Dad!”
And now it’s Cam’s turn!
Weight: 122.6kg
Loss: 4.8kg
Percentage: 3.77%
Biggest Loser so far! Can he hold the top spot throughout!
“Well done Cameron!” – Ajay. Cam starts a silly little dance and Ajay says, “It’s the happy dance!”
Cam feels fantastic now he’s lost more than 40kg and he now knows it’s saved his life and it’ll mean he’ll keep his wife. His wife has seen the change in him now.
Sean’s next on the chopping block.
Weight: 91.4kg
Loss: 1.4kg
Percentage: 1.51%
He looks crushed and Andrew looks a little horrified too.
Sean obviously doesn’t have a lot of weight left to lose and he’s now dangerously close to the Yellow Line.
Two people left, Andrew and Julie.
Julie will need at least 1.6kg to beat Sean and Meaghan and guarantee herself a spot above the Yellow Line.
Julie’s as nervous as a kitten! Awww!
Weight: 92.5kg
Loss: 2.4kg
Percentage: 2.53%
Safe! She’s quite happy to be safe. Meaghan looks happy for her Mum but scared for herself, all at the same time!
Julie’s actually in second place with that loss, behind Cameron.
And Sean is below the Yellow Line so he’ll definitely be up for elimination this week.
All that is left is whether he’ll be under with Meaghan or Andrew. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNN!
Andrew needs at least 1.8kg to stay safe for another week.
Weight: 105.6kg
Loss: 1.4kg
Percentage: 1.31%
Meaghan initially looks happy but then she’s upset, too. Weird.
That loss means Andrew’s in 7th place, dead last.
Andrew says to Ajay that it’s getting harder to burn fat and hard to burn muscle.
Andrew wonders aloud to us where he could have got the extra 400g from. Could he have pushed harder at some point during the week?
But the alliance is happy. The two remaining threats to them are both under the line!
And yes, Cameron is the biggest loser for the second week in a row! Crazy!
Andrew and Sean will be up for elimination on Monday night.
Andrew and Sean are both sure they’re doomed. Can’t both be doomed!
Tomorrow night… Julie loves both boys so it’ll be a hard decision.
But it’ll come down to who’s the bigger threat.
… but who’s the bigger threat? Who knows!
