TBL Australia 4×45: Who will Nathan take as his secret lover?

Previously on The Biggest Loser Blue won the weigh-in. Again!

Red decided it would be best to send Nathan home during Elimination. Because they’re stupidheads or something. I’m still not clear on the reasoning there.
Ajay then revealed yet another twist in the game, with Nathan getting to choose someone to go home with him.

Tonight, we find out who that person will be…
I know who I’d choose!

Red come back from Elimination to talk to Blue in the trophy room. Sam, Meaghan and Sharif walk in first. Then eventually Cameron.
Andrew has sadface now.

Cue contestant recap of how the voting went. We don’t really need to see this.

Blue are shocked that Red voted Nathan out. Teresa was even less kind!
Tiffany says Red are by far the weaker team now. They’re home and hosed!

Sharif’s waiting to start talking about the whole letter for Nathan thing. He wants to “hear the sound of metal hitting the floor from them sweating bullets!” Heh. More Sharif being funny, please.

Blue are stunned by the revelation of the letter and its apparent massive importance to the game.

Nathan reads out the letter again for everyone. Everyone is stunned and/or horrified by Nathan getting to choose someone to go with him.

Nathan wants a chat with Andrew first, naturally!
Andrew suggests Nathan take him, since it would make the decision a lot easier. But Nathan wants no part of that, he wants Andrew to stay in the game and keep going.
Nathan says it’s been great, they’ve not had an argument until pretty much now! So just continue on, lighter, faster, stronger!

Nathan has a chat with Bob next. Bob says if he was in Nathan’s position he’d be looking to protect Tiffany. Work out who the biggest threats to her were and so on.
Bob tells us he’s a little worried about what Nathan’s decision might be.

Meaghan gets a chat next. Nathan says to her that she could have saved him. And she says right up until she had to write a name down.
Nathan says to us that he didn’t want to hear that, “I was going to do this, I was going to do that…” Be a doer, not a gunna!
Nathan tells Meaghan she’s at the top of his list. Not entirely sure why, other than weird revenge-y feeling.

Nathan figures Sean would be the easiest vote. He’s been voted out by Nathan once and he’d do just fine at home now.
Sean tells him that Sean could help Andrew along further into the game if he stays but ultimately it comes down to who Nathan wants to choose.

Everyone files into the big gym with their bags packed.
Julie’s a little concerned it might be her going home but much more concerned it’ll be Meaghan going home.
Tiffany says his choice has the ability to affect teams, alliances and friendships.

Ajay’s wearing a fancy turquoise dress tonight. Has little shiny things on it. Oooh!

Meaghan’s nervous, she tells Ajay. She’s worried if Nathan tries to get some kind of revenge.
But she doesn’t regret voting for him. She did what she had to do at the time.
Sean’s nervous, too. He might go to help Red and to ensure Andrew stays a bit longer.

Bob would be philosophical, if chosen. He’s worked hard, achieved some successes that he can feel good about. If it’s his time, it’s his time!

Nathan tells everyone that when they got to Fitzroy Island, he started playing the game. He played the game hard, he played the game fair, sometimes he played it unfair. He strived to stay for as long as he could.
So today’s decision comes down to playing the game!

The person leaving with him today will be… Bob.

Bob’s face doesn’t change for a second or two then he has a small smile and nod. He tells us he’s at peace with himself, he’d achieved what he came to achieve.

Nathan says he chose Bob in order to protect Andrew. If he takes out the biggest threat in the game, his protection is guaranteed.
I’m not sure how he figured that. Given that people often vote for the biggest threats.

Nathan says to Bob that he is the threat. He’s a man that has unbelievable determination and he inspires Nathan and everyone else there and will inspire the entire world.

Bob then gets a few moments to say his goodbyes to everyone.
Bob tells Sammy she’s a special person and it would be sad if she doesn’t get to the point where she can see how beautiful she is.
Bob tells Cam there’s no reason he shouldn’t be the biggest loser.
Sean is told he has a lot more potential than he realises and Sean says it’s been an honour.
Julie says he’s amazing and she’ll miss him so much.

The hardest one to leave behind is Tiffany, of course.
Julie says she’ll look after Tiffany for him. While Bob heads out and looks after her baby and her husband!

Then we get a short bit of footage from Bob arriving on the island. And wow, I’d forgotten how enormous he was.

Ajay wishes them both the best of luck, but get out!
They leave to a round of applause from the other contestants.

Nathan and Bob head out the doors of Fat Camp. But there’s no limo or van waiting. They have to walk down the driveway themselves, trundling their bags along.
Nathan says it’s hard to leave with Bob. But they’ll go on and continue doing what they need to do.
Recap footage of Nathan. He looks so different already. He says he was an unsure, unwell, obese man who’d lost his way in life and wasn’t happy with himself.
The man who leaves today is happy with everything in his life. His focus now switches to his wedding day. Awww!

Bob and Nathan head off down this lame bush track. So obviously a setup.

Then we get a shot of a big black Hummer driving up the path. “Think I know someone who drives a black Hummer…” Nathan says his only regret was not getting to meet the Commando. Looks like that’s about to change!
Bob says they should have known!

“Well, well, well. The old bull and the young bull. Where do you think you’re going? GET IN!”
Nathan and Bob shake hands and pile on into the Hummer. Nathan figures they’ll have a training session with him and then go home.
But no, inside the Hummer is a mini DVD player that says Play Me!

Hey look, it’s tiny Ajay on a tiny screen!

Ajay says things on Loser aren’t always as they seem. They’ve been eliminated from Fat Camp, but not from the game!
Throughout, Ajay refers to “contestants”, not Nathan and Bob by name. But I’m sure this was all planned for Nathan and wasn’t going to happen regardless, Ajay’s just being sneaky and trying to throw us off the scent… or some other idiot tinhat theory. :-P

Nathan and Bob are grinning and laughing at each other.

Ajay says they’re going back to Fitzroy Island. For five weeks they’ll be castaways. They’ll do nothing but eat, sleep and be trained by The Commando. Whichever one of them loses the most weight overall will get a one way ticket… TO THE FINALE. Not just back into the game. Oooooooh!

Ajay says they are now two of the game’s biggest threats. A threat nobody will see coming and a threat nobody knows even exists.
One of them will be in the running for the $200,000 prize money.
But they’ll have to work for it. Harder than they’ve ever worked before.

Nathan says to us that he doesn’t have to worry about the game or anything else, just getting to where he needs to be for the final!
Bob’s apprehensive about it all, because he knows it’ll be a hard slog. But he’s also excited. Deep down!

Sean asks Blue how they feel about Bob leaving. They’re all devastated. And they all agree that it won’t be just Blue missing him, Red will miss him too. He was an inspiration for them all.
Tiffany’s not saying much. She tells us that she’s angry that Bob is gone and is trying to hold back the tears.

Shannan comes into the room with Blue. And is visibly upset to see Bob gone. Sean asks Shannan how he is and Shannan says he was better before walking in the door!
Shannan is mystified. Bob’s been the biggest loser darn near every week, how could his team have voted him out?!

But there’s good news and bad news. Bad news is obvious, good news is they won the weigh-in!
Then they recap the whole debacle for Shannan.
And, big surprise, Shannan’s gutted!

Tiffany’s still not coping too well. She tells Shannan she thinks it’s unfair.
Tiffany says Bob only came because she wanted to go, but he took off on the journey for himself!
Tiffany tells us she’s not sure she’ll survive emotionally.

Shannan thinks Tiffany has to let it go and get on with it. Refocus, recharge her energy. Bob would want her not to give up!

Michelle wanders in while Red are talking about how bad it’s going to be telling Michelle about Nathan leaving.
Michelle is dumbfounded and lost for words. She thinks what the team did was suicide.

Sharif thinks she might start ripping heads off shoulders or smashing them there and then.
But she can’t get much more out than “Far out!”

Michelle is “fascinated” to find out why Meaghan voted for Nathan. She holds Meaghan back for a chat while the others go start training.

Meaghan says that before they even got to Fitzroy, her and Julie, Tiff and Bob, Sam and Cam all formed a bond because they were all the oldies with the daughters. And that bond is becoming an alliance and that alliance will keep her in the game.
Michelle tells us Meaghan needs to know she won’t dance to Meaghan’s tune. Meaghan’s not running the team, Michelle is!

Michelle’s going to train them as payback for their decision.
Backpacks full of weights and on your backs!

Sam struggles to even pick the backpack up off the ground.

Red starts out on the treadmills with their weighty backpacks.
Michelle says Nathan was the biggest loser for her team and so now someone else has to step up and take his place.

“Today’s training session was going to hurt and they were just going to have to shut up and suck it up!” – Michelle

Meaghan’s paired with Michelle trying to step up onto a bench. With the weights on her back.
It doesn’t go well. Meaghan falls backwards on the first attempt and has to take the weights off to get back up.
She eventually manages to do it. Michelle’s holding her arms to help her pull herself upwards and balance.

Michelle tells them all they need to step it up. Meaghan voted out the biggest player and now Meaghan has to step up to that role and someone now has to step into Meaghan’s shoes.
Cam and Sam are both struggling with the weights, but Sam in particular.

If it all gets too hard and she can’t cope, she loses it upstairs, Michelle says.
Sam tells us she was so angry, she doesn’t even know where it was all coming from.
Sam cries to Michelle that it’s hurting everywhere, not just tiring, pain!

She eventually punches out and turns the treadmill off and goes to the window and shrugs out of the backpack.
Sharif comes over to try and urge her on to get her to put the backpack on, she’s stronger than that, she’s not going to give up over one little walk, is she?!

Sharif says what Michelle said before is right – they’ve got to suck it up! Sam says she’s not worn out, it’s hurting. Sharif says they have to suck that up, too!

Michelle wants them all to be thinking smart!

Blue’s training session is all about rebuilding, again.
Tiffany’s struggling not to cry, just standing still in the gym. She needs rebuilding because if she doesn’t manage it then she may as well send herself home.

“Yes we can! Yes we can!” I’ve heard that somewhere before, Shannan. But that guy had a better tan than yours.

Shannan sees Tiffany struggling a little with her motivation. Tiffany says give her ten minutes of exercise and she’ll be right into it.
Tiffany says this is a chance for her to prove to everyone that she can do it without Bob. It’ll be a learning curve, but she just has to do it.

Shannan says Andrew needs to set his own goals now that Nathan is gone. He has nobody to measure himself against.
But it’s an opportunity for him to stand alone.
Shannan asks Andrew if he’s feeling the pressure now? And Andrew says it’s more of a freedom. Freedom to do things the way he wants to do them. And it’s all about him now.
Shannan says they’re two different characters. Shannan tells us Nathan made a lot of friends but also a lot of enemies because of the way he played the game. But he wants to find out what Andrew thought of it.

“Are you proud of the way that Nathan played the game?” Andrew pauses, then says nup. Then yes/no. Some aspects of the game he didn’t play with integrity.
Shannan tells us it was very brave of Andrew to say that about his big brother. He thinks Andrew will do well now that he can play the game as he wants.

Tiffany’s tears have dried up, Shannan says. This is her chance to stand alone.
She’s running along at 14km/h while Shannan tells her to look to the future. Don’t look at the speed, just keep running to the future. Ignore Shannan making the speed higher and higher.
And she’s managing to keep up. Shannan doesn’t say what the final speed was but it was quite a few button presses above 14km/h!

Meanwhile the Commando’s black Hummer is heading down a road. The window tinting makes it look like nobody is driving it. Hmmm.

Bob says Nathan’s not a person he can compete with physically… but it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog!

They finally arrive at a helicopter. Commando Steve have his pilot’s licence?
Aww, no, there’s some other egghead in there who must be doing the flying.

Bob’s happy to get to go and train with the Commando because he’ll eventually go home even more prepared.

Steve says he’s going to push them to their breaking points, teach them the right way to do things and instill good habits in them to make sure they get to the finale and win!

Tomorrow night it’s a Fortune Cookie Temptation. MMMMMMMMMM, COOKIES.
Also a training session… with the Sydney Swans!
“Bring it on, Barry Hall!” – Tiffany
