TBL Australia 4×40: Temptation plus previous contestants return!

Previously on The Biggest Loser… erm. Oh, yeah, Emazon was on again. Woo.
Blue are on a diet of frozen meals while Red had to earn their food by fooling around with Emazon for a bit.

Tonight! Mysterious visitors come to the house… unless you’ve seen any of the seven hundred and forty two ads for the show that have been on Channel 10, in which case they’re still visitors, but not so mysterious.
Also, it’s Temptation night. The contestants will be faced with their all-time favourite foods. Will they be able to resist?

Michelle rocks up and finds out about the “dine out” thing. Well, sort of. They can’t talk about Emazon, remember.
Why? Who knows.

Michelle says the “frozen meals” option has gotta hurt!
Meaghan tells us that once in a while, frozen meals are alright, but not every meal of every day!

Then they tell her they had to earn their food and what foodstuffs they earnt. But they don’t tell her how they earned it. “Just work. Work you’d be impressed by.”
These guys are so whipped.

Shannan’s people explain about their frozen meals.
But he’s pleased they’re all very knowledgable already. Knowing they’ve got to cut down on the carbs, weighed their meat and so on.
Shannan asks if they feel the change in their body. Julie says it’s all so highly processed, Tiffany says she feels sick constantly. Shannan says it’s probably also the preservatives.
Yeah, that or they’ve all been convinced they’re horrible for you and thus they feel horrible when they eat them…

Blue figures Red must have gone off for a Commando visit. Apparently Shannan doesn’t know, either. Hmmm…

Red Team’s training today is about intensity, interval training again… and weights! So they’re lifting things and doing pullups and cross trainer workouts and so on.
Sammy says the workout with Emazon actually helped her a lot. Now she goes into training sessions wanting to do well!

Michelle says the training session today was one of the harder ones they’ve done as a team.
Cam’s still got to prove that he wants to be a new man and will have to keep proving it every single session.

Michelle sees a different man in training today – Cam came up with the goods. Finally!
Even Sammy’s very proud of him today.

“What’d you hate the most?” The girls say chinups. Cam says chinups too. And also the chinups. The chinups were pretty bad, as well!
Michelle declares that Cam is going to grow to love chinups!

“Let’s empower ourselves with knowledge!” Shannan’s teaching his people about just how much work it takes to get rid of certain amounts of calories. It’s Temptation day, after all, so Shannan wants that in the forefront of their minds.
Tiffany’s doing well at boxing now. She also burns way more calories doing it than doing weights.
“You play, you pay!” Hey, isn’t that Michelle’s line, Shannan?

Everyone walks down to Temptation inside the house this time. They’re nervous and don’t know what will happen, etc.

Ajay’s there though! Hi Ajay! Hi kind of bland beige dress thing.

Ajay reminds them all of them throwing away their favourite meals back on Fitzroy Island.
And now, today, in order to win Immunity and the “power” of The Walk, they’ll have to eat their favourite foods!

Each meal will be calculated to exactly 1,000 calories. And you’ll have to eat the entire thing to win.
Should two people be crazy enough to take part, it’ll go to a second round – both people will have to eat a dessert course!
Should nobody take part Nathan will retain Immunity for another week and get to go for another Walk.

Teresa has satay beef. Sammy has potato bake. “Yuckkk…” Sammy says that with a smile on her face. I said it with a look of horror on my face. Revolting stuff!
Cam asks if Sam can see him from there. He’s obviously very tempted!

Sean’s favourite is actually kangaroo fillets with some vegetables, so it really wouldn’t be all that bad for him.

Now it’s time to play Temptation. And suddenly bamboo screens come rattling down from the roof to create partitions between the contestants so nobody can tell if anyone is eating. Sneaky, sneaky.

They only have 15 minutes in which to eat their entire meal.
Sharif gets stuck right into it, straight away. He didn’t really want the food, he just wanted the immunity.
Ahh, but it’s part of a plan. Sharif’s taking it for the team. Meaghan says they’re not entirely trusting Nathan, he’s gone against his team before, so they won’t be surprised if he eats.

Andrew’s sorely tempted by his pepperoni pizza. They’d been living off frozen meals for a couple of days now.
Tiffany’s very tempted, too. Garlic prawns and they smell quite strong, apparently.

Ten minutes left! Sharif’s still pushing through his food. He says it was very familiar, he’d have it when guests were around, he’d cook it for his family and so on. The butter chicken now represents everything that was wrong with his old life – and yet it would save him for another week.

Sharif is not feeling great while eating it, mostly because of having to eat so fast. He’s hoping that nobody else is eating.

Bob starts trying to psych everyone out by making some noises with his knife and fork. Andrew’s sort of forlornly poking at his pizza with a knife. Poor lad!

Time’s up!
Has anyone but Sharif eaten?

Congratulations to… Sharif! Yes, he’s got the immunity.
Nathan sees it as pointless since he’s gambling that they won’t even be facing elimination two weeks in a row.

No clues about The Walk, this week. Sharif’s a little nervous as a result. Suffer!

Everyone heads out to the parade ground expecting a family visit for someone. Amanda may’ve passed her reward on to someone else – but who?
Well, presumably Teresa, since she said Teresa was her only friiiiiiiiend.

But Amanda doesn’t get her reward because she’s not here. And instead everyone will get a reward!
Tiffany instantly thinks makeovers and was excited. Sharif thought maybe everyone would get to see a loved one. Apparently he didn’t think through the cost of flying in 11 family members…

Ajay says they’ll be some familiar faces…

And indeed they are! Hi Sam! Hi Cosi! Hi Alison!
Great, now I have to recap a past season in a current season again!

But hey, they’re all looking pretty dang good. Definitely a lot better than some of last year’s returnees.
Alison looks freaking hot. She’s put a little bit of weight on but it’s in all the right places!
Sam’s basically about the same as he was at the finale. Maybe a little more filled out but definitely skinny.
Cosi’s obviously put a bit of weight on, but he just looks healthy and good.

Ajay introduces them all – Red’s powerhouse of last year, Cosi. Last year’s runner-up, Alison. And last year’s winner, Sam!
What they achieved on the show is inspirational. Cosi lost 42.6kg. Alison lost 55.2kg. Sam lost 71.7kg in order to win last year.

Bob says it was very inspiring seeing those three return in good shape.

They’re there today to talk about their experiences and get some advice out of them.

But first they’ve got to show Alison, Cosi and Sam around the new House.
They’re very impressed by the big gym. Sam says it brought back some old aches and pains to see all the gym equipment!
There’s banners on the wells with pictures of them. They all find their pictures.

Cosi’s banner is during the eliminated contestants challenge, where he ended up with over 100kg being held across his shoulders. Cosi says he doesn’t think he’s ever been more mentally strong than on that day. Cosi says that day made him realise he’d never give up in the rest of his life. He’d always work hard to achieve his goals.

Sam says they’re at the speed hump bit. They’re a long way into it and a long way to the finish. Cam asks how you deal with it and Sam says you just wake up each day and take it as it comes.
Sam tells us the contestants really need to hear the most that they just have to persevere, despite the pains and other problems.

Alison’s impressed by how huge the rest of the house is. They find a room full of other photos and she gets a little emotional at seeing her fat self again. She tells them she’s not that person anymore.
Alison says it’s humbling having people looking at her for inspiration now, she’s very proud.
She also flashes her guns to the girls, who’re all impressed.

And now Alison has a surprise for them.
Since they’re girls, they have a slightly different journey to the guys. She’s noticed something with the girls in the house and she wants to help them not struggle with them so much.
Alison has a very big mirror. She wants them all to have a bit of a chat.

Sammy’s horrified. She doesn’t like mirrors. Teresa bursts into tears. Alison gives her a pat on the back and checks on her. Leaning over. Mmmmm, milf cleavage!

Teresa’s not very happy with where she ended up, having done it to herself. She used to go through entire days eating up to 4,000 calories, which is almost four times what she’s eating at the moment.

Alison wants the girls to compliment each other on something good. Sammy says Teresa has nice eyes, she looks at you, not through you. Meaghan says her bum looks good from this angle! They’re sitting behind Teresa while she’s looking into the mirror.

“Killer legs!” Tiffany says of Meaghan.
Alison says she loves Tiffany’s laugh and smile, she says they’re infectious.

Sammy struggles, she starts crying right away and Alison has to hold her hand.
Julie says Sammy has one of the prettiest faces EVAR. Tiffany says most beautiful eyes EVAR and we can see them now, so much better!
Alison tries to get Sammy to have a look at herself in the mirror. Sammy says she’s seen it and Teresa says not the way we see it!
Meaghan says she’s lost so much weight and is such a beautiful person.

Alison says she needs to start seeing herself in a positive light. She tells us that she’s worried Sammy hasn’t got it yet but isn’t quite there yet.

Alison tells the girls she feels honoured to have spent some time with them and they all say ditto!

Then both teams head off for a game of touch footy. Girls versus boys!
The girls don’t stand a chance of winning but at least they’re having fun.

Then Shannan and Michelle arrive to see their teams playing footy. And then notice the three ring-ins. Shannan’s clearly ecstatic to see Alison. Alison literally throws herself at Shannan for a big hug. Alison tells us she owes her life to Shannan.
Cosi says it was a bit weird seeing Michelle again because she was the one who turned his life around. It brought back a lot of memories.

Shannan says the new contestants can see they’re still not the fat kids, even 12 months on.
Yeah, but it’s only 3 of them, Shannan.

Then they split into teams. Sam and Alison off with Blue, Cosi with Red.
Shannan says Sam and Alison did everything he asked of them – they ate well, trained hard and played the game with respect and integrity. He wants them to relay that message to his new Blue Team.
Alison references losing her husband recently. She says what she learnt on the show has helped her keep everything together, including her family. She can stand strong, thanks to the show.

Cosi tells Red it’s about mental strength, now. Once you know you can, in fact, do what you need to, the physical stuff comes a lot easier.
Cosi tells them to remember “these guys” (ie; the trainers) are doing them a favour, you’re not doing the trainers a favour. Every day is a blessing.

Sam says he has a bond for life with the rest of the Blue Team. They were there to help push him along and train with him. Alison nods.
Sam tells us it was a bit strange being with Blue again. Shannan changed his life – saved his life!
Shannan wants his team to think, during the hard times, that this is to help them through the rest of their life.

Cosi, Sam and Alison head off in the grey van. “We’ve got little butts now so we can all fit in!” – Alison
“GET ON THE TREADMILL!” – Cosi

Tomorrow night… a change is on its way. Apparently. “Money? Or survival?” Says Ajay.
Sharif may have sided with Nathan to betray his best friend.
Yeah. That’s totally going to happen, Mr Voiceover Man.
