TBL Australia 4×28: Ajay’s milkshakes bring all the fatties to the beach and they’re like, no way you can drink 3 litres of milk and Nathan’s all, oh yes you can…
Previously on The Biggest Loser, Teresa and Sharif chose raw food over “straw food”. Woo.
Tonight is Temptation night, plus there’s some mysterious DVD of awesome heartbreakingness. Woo!
Shannan and Michelle rock up. He calls his people his four little soldiers.
They explain what happened with The Warehouse. While we get replayed footage from yesterday. And talky bits about what happened. Yawn. Okay, on with the show!
Shannan wonders how you’re going to get your nutrition through a straw!
He thinks of dairy, plus egg whites in your drinks to get protein. The raw people still have sashimi and raw salmon and so on.
Michelle knows they’ve been to The Warehouse. She laughs at them getting the “straw food”. She’s totally okay with it and thinks they even got the better one. You can still get a variety of foods through a straw rather than just all raw stuff.
She wants them to start thinking about how they’re going to keep their weight off once they’re back outside.
Bob says he’s never going to eat in front of the telly any more. Holly says she’ll be cleaning out the pantry and starting afresh. Sammy says, while it’s corny, you’ve got to stay honest with yourself. Michelle says that totally makes sense.
Shannan’s got some creative training for his team today. Apparently his car needs a tow. So he’s got a tow rope attached to his RAV4.
First up he gets them all to pull the car along the driveway. “Mush! Come on you cheeky monkeys!” :-D
They’re doing quite well and are really happy that they can move the car at all. Then they have to pull it up a hill, which they struggle with at first but Shannan keeps calling out that they’ve got to get the momentum going and never give up.
Can the cameraman please give up on showing Sharif’s bellyflab? It’s scaring me!
Then Shannan gets them all to slowly hope off the rope, leaving just Julie pulling the car along. Cars are designed to roll but still, impressive!
Also, apparently it’s Julie’s daughter’s birthday – not Meaghan, her other daughter, Gabby! Gabby’s the eldest apparently.
Shannan’s stoked at how well Julie’s done. And shocked, too!
Julie says Gabby would never believe she’d pulled a RAV4 all by herself. Meaghan says Julie amazes her every day.
The others then take turns. Meaghan’s even managing to get a bit of a jog going!
Sharif is not only pulling the car – he’s pulling the car with everyone else inside it.
Then Shannan’s got to have a turn. He struggles a bit, but does fine – it’s harder when you don’t weigh so much!
Meaghan hangs her head out the window as they’re cruising along and compliments Shannan on his nice bum!
Michelle’s team has a “Dirty 30” training sesssion. And they’re going to get dirty, Michelle says. The gym looks pretty clean though…
One person runs for 30 seconds on the treadmill then 30 seconds off while the other person had to do a variety of other exercises like weightlifting, jumping over benches, frog jumps (which Cam fails miserably at).
After Cam stumbles right in front of Holly, Holly casually continues frog jumping around him while Michelle helps him up.
Bob, 56, is running at 11km/h on the treadmill. Go Bob!
Sammy got to 13.5km/h when before her best was 10km/h, so she’s stoked!
Annnnd now it’s time to trundle off for Temptation. Prepare your sick bags, folks! :-X
Hi Ajay! Hi pretty blue dress on Ajay!
Temptation’s at a little cafe type place near the beach. I think they said which beach but to be honest I don’t really care!
And yes, immunity is on offer again today. And the power of The Walk, which you will “want to be in control of” Ajay assures us.
She’s lying, by the way. The Walk tomorrow night is another crapshoot! She’s sneaky like that.
There’s two tables. Each with a giant, 3 litre, strawberry and banana milkshake. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Quite a few people admit they love milkshakes.
3 Litres of milkshake? Equals 3000 calories. As Meaghan says, it’s about 3 days worth of food for the girls.
The couples have to split between the two tables, plus they all have to wear blindfolds. So nobody will know if anyone is really drinking or faking.
They’ll have 20 minutes to drink as much or as little as they want.
Nathan says 3 litres in 20 minutes? It’s probably achievable!
At the end of the 20 minutes whichever couple has managed to drink the most will win.
And if nobody partakes, Sharif and Teresa keep immunity.
Sammy says everyone then sort of mentally twigged and realised they’d need to have at least a sip.
Holly says she wants them gone! And Teresa knows they all want them gone, too.
Everyone’s now freaking out about not getting to discuss it beforehand. They’re all not sure who might go for it or how hard they might decide to go, etc.
Meaghan and Julie have decided they’re going for it though. It’s just a question of whether anyone else will be.
Your twenty minutes starts… now.
Nobody goes for it immediately which is fairly surprising. But it doesn’t take long for Mel to grab her straw and start drinking!
Holly’s also going to go for it because she doesn’t want someone else to have the power this time around.
Meaghan’s also drinking. Her and Julie have agreed to go as much as 2000 calories today.
Julie’s gone for a bit over 1000 calories, or trying to. She figures that most people who go for it will probably only go for about 1000 calories at most.
Nathan and Andrew are both going for it. Andrew’s decided he’s going to try and drink as much as possible.
Teresa and Sharif have decided not to go for it because the others would probably go hard and her and Sharif would have to drink too much.
Sammy then hears a bunch of people making slurping noises but she figures they’re all trying to psych everyone out, she doesn’t reckon anyone is drinking!
Cameron, however, is having a bit of the froth at the top. Then decides to have a bit more because he missed morning tea. Hrm.
Meaghan’s a little worried that only her and Julie are going. Julie’s taking it slow, only having another little bit every 5 minutes or so. She says out loud that nobody could possibly drink 3 litres. Nathan mutely raises his hand.
They’re all blindfolded, don’t forget.
It gets down to 10 minutes left and so Bob and Tiff are having a bit of a go. Tiff’s not really enjoying it, every mouthful is making her feel sick.
Nathan’s having trouble, too. Burping loudly and going, “Ohhhhhhh.”
Holly’s also struggling. She’s not got as far as Nathan but she’s feeling like she’ll throw up. Will she soldier on?
5 minutes left. Cameron asks if there’s any spare milkshakes?
Sammy figures that probably nobody has had a go. She was going to have one sip, just in case, but then she figured it was pointless since someone would just have two sips! So she refrains, hooray!
Then Sammy hears someone slurping around the bottom of the glass. Teresa hears it too and can’t believe he drank the whole thing!
Holly’s worried because she figures now her and Mel will have to go for it to try and finish their’s too.
Meaghan’s feeling sick and can’t drink anymore. She’s hoping Julie’s going to get to 2000, else they’re not going to win over Nathan alone, nevermind Nathan AND Andrew.
The blindfolds come off and everyone’s boggling at how much people have drunk. Julie gives Nathan a slap on the arm.
Andrew asks Nathan how he stomached it and Nathan has no idea. Andrew tells us it’s not something you should be proud of, but it’s a phenomenal effort!
Neither Teresa nor Sharif partook. Sammy also passed.
Cameron complains again about missing morning tea. Cam’s drunk 375 calories worth of milkshake though…
Bob’s done 250 calories. Tiff did 520 calories. 770 calories total!
Meaghan drank 900 calories. Wow! Julie did 1100 calories. 2000 total. Crikey, they’re going to be ill.
Holly had 1250 calories. Mel beat her though. 1625 calories. Holly’s horrified. I think she just did the math and realised they came up short.
Andrew took in 1375 calories. Mel beat him! But Nathan has outdone them all. He drank the whole thing. 3000 calories.
Man. Michelle is going to be PISSED. 4375 calories to burn off in the gym. That’s really going to hurt.
But Nathan and Andrew now have immunity yet again and control of The Walk yet again.
Tiffany wanders in (with her straw food) to the lounge room where everyone else is struggling through their straw food.
She finds a DVD on the way and shows everyone so they head up stairs.
It has Ben and Sean on it!
“If you’re seeing this then it means we’ve been eliminated…”
So they’re passing on their Biggest Loser reward of getting to see their family, since they’re going home anyway!
They’re giving the reward to… They don’t say, leaving everyone to point fingers and guess who it is. Mel says let’s not get anyone’s hopes up and just go down there. Smart girl!
Ajay’s on the parade ground. She’s been expecting them. I guess that’s why the cleavage is being presented so beautifully today?
Everyone continues wondering who it might be.
Finally Ajay says they won’t be kept in suspense any longer. Cue more long waiting for someone to come up the stairs and then… Hi Gabby! Hi Gabby’s daughter!
Meaghan can’t really make them out, think she might need some glasses!
Gabby’s baby is tiny! Awww!
Julie’s very happy, she’s tearing up again in a side interview.
Julie gets to tell Gabby happy birthday, though it’s a couple days late by now.
Then Julie’s Mum totters out as well. She has Xavier? Another of Gabby’s kids, I suppose.
Then Phil, Julie’s husband comes out. And Julie bursts into tears and runs across the parade ground. Phil asks, “What’re you doing running?!” He seems very happy to see her as well. Awww!
Julie now gets to spend time with them all. Julie shows off her running on the treadmill and Gabby’s very impressed.
After showing them around the house the rest of the family has to say goodbye to Meaghan. Much tears from everyone, especially Meaghan. Awww! :(
Julie and the family get to go to Oceanworld, cool! They walk around underneath the sharks. The littlest one seems a bit mystified about it all but Xavier seems very interested in all the big fishies.
Julie has a piece of grilled fish and salad at the restaurant and explaining to them all what she’s been up to. And bragging about her mad RAV4 pulling skillz!
Phil and Julie then wander off for a bit of alone time. Julie thinks Phil’s a little different because he’s seen a difference in her, too.
Apparently they’ve not had much cause to be interested in what they’ve had to say to each other for a while. :-/
Julie tells us she has a long way to go and her family is proud of her, but she really needs to succeed for once. Then they all get shoved into the car… but Meaghan comes pelting down the driveway to say goodbye to everyone. “Lucky you can run!” Gabby laughs at Meaghan.
Julie would give Sean the biggest kiss and cuddle if she could right now.
Well, there’s always tomorrow!
Tomorrow night, time to face the music. Michelle’s on the warpath again. “You play, you pay.” And she’s going to finally get stuck into Cameron and get him to face that which is holding him back.
And the brothers go on The Walk and find out that what goes around, comes around. Apparently. Contestants may be returning to the game, maybe not in the same manner they left though…
