TBL Australia 4×17: The Walkening gives power to the Mean Green Bogan Machine

Previously on The Biggest Loser The Commando kicked fat people booty!
Also Bob and Tiffany got a visit from their family.
Not to mention Ben and Sean winning at Temptation and getting the “reward” of The Walk!

Tonight, they go on The Walk. And according to everyone it’s all very dramatic and scary and so on.

Everyone files out onto the Parade Ground again and line up to say goodbye to Ben and Sean.
Blah blah blah, scared, blah blah blah, anticipation, blah blah blah, who knows what it will be.
Meaghan says she’d never felt like she could trust Nathan and Andrew so Ben and Sean going this week is much better!

And more silly bickering over who the real alpha males in the competition are.
Ben and Sean and Andrew and Nathan all seem to think they are. But I think they need to LOOK AT THE SCOREBOARD! *clap-clap-clapclapclap!*

Mel and Sharif are still off with the Commando, of course. Lots more booty kicking in store. They’re both feeling a little sick.
Steve’s trying to get them to believe in themselves, he thinks they’re having issues in that area.

“GET UP SHARIF!” Commando is so unsympathetic!

Mel’s leaving Sharif behind in pretty much all the exercises today. To be fair she’s only a bit over half his weight!
Sharif says his own demons outweigh what Steve says to him.
Steve tells him he can do it, because the Commando says failure is not an option!
Sharif says he’s a failure and Steve asks him if he’d’ve spent all the time with him he’s done if he thought Sharif was a failure?!
Sharif’s wife Fleur is always proud of him but he’s not sure when the last time he was proud of himself was.

“If you can do this, as you are now, then you can bloody well do anything!” – Commando Steve

Both Mel and Sharif look completely knackered afterwards!

Michelle arrives to find out about Temptation and is pleased that nobody partook!

“We’re just having a training week this week.” Michelle doesn’t believe Nathan for a second!

Andrew says the burden of having The Walk can take your mind off what you’re really there for – working hard and losing weight. Michelle is impressed!
More recapping of past events, this time the family visit for Bob and Tiffany. We’ve seen this!

But now it’s time to train! Michelle wants to get Bob and Tiffany in particular refocused on their training.
Tiffany’s kicking a bag that Michelle’s holding for her. She’s going pretty hard, too! She’s using her family as motivation, thinking this one’s for her, this for her husband, this for her daughter, over and over!
Michelle says Tiffany’s got it, she knows that exercise is good for you physically AND mentally.
And Michelle thinks Tiffany’s the dark horse and she wants to keep it that way. “Tiffany is my secret weapon!”

Then Michelle takes a fattyback ride around on Tiffany, from one end of the big new gym to the other!

Michelle has her sights set on Andrew and Nathan now. She’s giving them a flogging and Andrew’s liking not having to worry about the game anymore. He and Nathan were getting stressed over the gameplaying and they got ostracised from the group. So the new strategy is “Gladiators”. Gladiators fight to the end and they don’t need anybody else.
Then we get a closeup of Andrew lifting something above his head… camera moves out a bit and he’s doing shoulder presses WITH MICHELLE’S ENTIRE BODY.
Nathan has his turn afterwards. When he’s done with his set Michelle asks if he’s got another 10 in him and Nathan says, “You bet!”
Michelle’s crazy!

Shannan has his peeps doing “super high intensity interval training”. On the spin bikes, 8 seconds at a time. And the resistance slowly gets increased each interval. They have a short period in between of gentle cycling and then the hardcore pedalling again.
Julie’s got her “work hard” switch on more often than off, nowadays!
Shannan’s very impressed at Julie completing the entire exercise with everyone else this time when a couple of weeks back she wouldn’t even get on the bike!

And it seems Shannan’s taken to calling her Mum, too!

Amanda’s allowed to cycle on the recumbent trainer today. She’s finally back in the game it seems!
Shannan laughs at Amanda’s grin while she’s cycling. He says she used to hate training and now she’s ecstatic to be training again!
Shannan is also impressed all round with their determination this session.

And yay! Another tradition from seasons past has returned. We get to see all the contestants’ dream outfits again! Missed that last season…

Sammy’s never worn a pair of jeans in her life! Michelle says it tears her up to hear that Sammy’s never worn jeans.
Why? I hate jeans. They’re horrible! You’re not missing anything Sammy!

Amanda’s dress is… extraordinarily optimistic. But it’s there to be a big motivation to get back into shape so she can be an opera singer, not so much to actually fit into necessarily.
Though she does think she can get into it. She needs to lose 90kg to fit into it apparently. Very, very optimistic.
Amanda’s not sure the last time she’d’ve been in a dress like that. Probably at least 10 years, but she’s never felt beautiful or sexy, ever. Which breaks Shannan’s tiny muscle bound heart.
Shannan says everyone has the right to feel beautiful in their own skin. Stewart loves you and we all love you for who you are, but she should love herself too!

Andrew’s dream outfit? A police recruit uniform! He’s wanted to be a copper ever since he was a little kid. But every time he downloads the application the physical side of things are outside his ability.
He’s getting a lot of motivation out of seeing the uniform every day.
Nathan’s dream outfit is a very swish suit. It’s the suit that he wants to get married in. He says the best present he can give his wife to be is to be a fitter, healthier man and to be wearing that to the wedding!
He was in 6XL at the suit fitting. The goal is for him to get to XL. He was an XL even in school. He’s a pretty tall lad so XL ought to see him quite trim!

Teresa’s dream outfit… has her in tears after about 30 seconds of looking at it. Perhaps she realised she’s going to look like a doofus in it?
Everything she’s ever done before has been for other people and now she’s got to do things for herself. She just got out of a 10 year relationship and she’s trying to let that go and make new memories for herself.
She says it’s the first time as an adult that she’s been alone. We see a shot of her husband, I guess from the wedding? And he’s pretty chubby as well so I guess it wasn’t the weight at least!

Ben and Sean are off on The Walk now. Wake me up when they get there, I’m going to have a snooze.

Ajay’s still alternating between standing on a black rubber mat and standing on her little black box. I’m assuming it’s not Ajay’s vanity in play there so why do they need to make her appear taller? Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps they wanted more of that lovely Sydney haze in the background.

Ajay reminds them about the bracelets of double or nothingness. I wonder if the urns have something to do with the bracelets?

Yep. The two urns each contain one disc. The disc will either say:
1) Take the Double Bracelet and give it to another contestant
B) Take the Nothing Bracelet and give it to another contestant

Sean was the one to grab the spoon so he’s going to be the one to choose so it’s all on him, not Ben.
Sean has a careful look at each urn. I swear they must all be directed to take forever about choosing. Me? I’d just walk right up to an urn and grab the disc. They’re not going to swap them around while you dither!

And written on the disc that Sean has chosen? It has a white glow on it that causes both guys to wince. But since they didn’t want either of the options it’s hard to know why they’re wincing!

The boys dawdle back to the house carrying what is clearly – cleeeeeeearly – not the same disc they pulled out of the urn. It’s not even shiny silver like the one they pulled out, it’s just a little cardboard thing!

Holly says Ben and Sean have a distressed look on their face. Meaghan thought Ben might even have been crying before coming in, he looked so upset.

More chatter about what we just saw 5 minutes ago. Blah blah blah.
Amanda just told us exactly what Sean said not 3 seconds before. This is so lame.

They finally reveal that they got the one where they can give the Double Bracelet to somebody else!
Holly looks both shocked and relieved.
Sean confirms that they can give the Double Bracelet to themselves, if they want to.

Sammy doesn’t want the gold bracelet just yet. Later in the game maybe, but not now! It’s a target!
Tiffany thinks whoever gets it will get picked off as early as possible, so as long as it’s not her she doesn’t care!

Sammy’s struggled in the last week Ben and Sean think. They ask Sammy and Cameron who they think it would motivate. And Sammy says not her! They suggest Tiffany because she feels a bit like Bob’s carrying her through so far.
And Cameron suggests that Sean would be the best choice as he’s got a good chance of going all the way and they ought not fall below the Yellow Line.
Ben sees giving the bracelet to themselves would be greedy and Cameron thinks it’s more backing yourself.

They have a chat to Holly next who thinks they should give it to someone they think will make it all the way. She thinks probably Bob because Bob deserves a good retirement and Holly’s sure he’d share some with Tiffany. Or, of course, give it to one of the boys themselves because they’ve been busting their butts and deserve it!

Everyone heads to the trophy/money room. Ben and Sean strip Holly’s bracelet off her. She’s very happy about it. She’s also sad that it’s $400,000 slipping away!

They’ve narrowed it down to three people – Sammy, Tiffany and Sean.
Sammy’s hoping it’s not her while Tiffany’s surprised she was even in the running!
Nathan thinks Sean’s a smart boy because he’s given it to himself. But has he?

They feel this person has had a rough ride in the past week or so and has been struggling a bit in the last couple of days. Meaghan looks across at Tiffany. And they say she’s been especially struggling because her partner’s been getting all the accolades. Yup, they’ve picked Tiffany!
Tiffany’s worried because she’d associated so much negativity with it before.
The boys want her to lift back up to where she should be instead of being a bit low!

Tomorrow night… Tiffany’s going ballistic in training!

And… the killer sand dunes are back, hooray! Looks like they’re carrying heavy sandbags up the hill, possibly more than once? Ouchies!
Have fun, guys!
