TBL Australia 4×16: Donutty Temptation of DOOM… at least it’d be my doom.

Previously on The Biggest Loser, the Biggest Bogans were sent home!
And a surprise visit to The Commando has seperated Mel and Sharif from the rest of the Fatties, much to Teresa and Holly’s horror!

Will Mel and Sharif survive the Commando’s extra curricular activities?

Tonight is also Temptation night. Will everyone survive Ajay’s extra calorific eateries?

Everyone’s coming back from the Commando’s session, bar Sharif and Mel, looking much the worse for wear. Meaghan and Holly both exclaim, almost in unison, “What the hell happened to you?!”
All the people who stayed behind find their condition a little funny, thinking maybe they were playing a trick. But then they find out it was a Commando session and they’re all much more concerned.
Holly asks what happened… and then suddenly realises her sister isn’t among the returnees! She says to Teresa that she cracked up laughing at them and now Mel’s not even there!

Ben’s got an arm around the miserable looking Julie. Someone’s kindly given her a jumper to wear as she’s obviously still very, very cold.
She has cuts and bruises all up her legs and arms.

Teresa sees it as a good thing, her partner being with the Commando. She thinks he needs some tough love and he’s getting to the point where he’s breaking through the fear and hopefully this will help him along.

Julie says it was heartbreaking to leave Mel and Sharif behind. She thinks they’ll be having a shocking time with the Commando after how hard their first work out was!

Michelle and Shannan rock up. Michelle notices Mel missing pretty quickly and Holly says she’s not heeeeere. Bit pouty and sad, awww.
Michelle looks a little… horrified/amused at Steve kidnapping people!
Holly says she’s worried about Mel because she’s only 18 and she’s out there by herself.
Michelle thinks it’ll be good for them to be apart for a bit.

Shannan has his people in the smaller training room again. He sees Julie’s a little down and out. She needs to get out of the victim mentality again.
She has to believe in herself, gain some self confidence.
Julie says she needs to be there for the grandchildren and she needs to be there to save her marriage.

Meanwhile Mel and Sharif are off in the even more spartan military barracks.
Steve tells them they were dangerously close to the Yellow Line. Last time he saw them it was through mud and pain. But now it’s time to see what they’re really made of!

First up he has them carrying sandbags and tires and assorted other bits and bobs up the hill.
“He makes you really hurt!” – Mel. Sharif says every part of his body aches!
They’re doing squatpresses with sandbags. Drop down a bit, then lift the bag up and over your head. Over and over.
Mel says it’s good to be able to get away on her own for a bit. It’s weird not having Holly there but she’s also not a distraction.

Sharif near collapses when they get to the top of the hill, grabbing Mel’s arm on the way down… and we can see one of the sound recordists gamely climbing the hill with all his gear right behind Steve.
Man, the crew on Loser must end up so fit at the end of the series, running up and down hills lugging gear and setting up ridiculous challenges!

Michelle wants her people to cut loose in training today. Go really hard and burn as many calories as possible as quickly as possible.
Michelle thinks they’re all wasting too much energy and anger on things that aren’t weightloss.
Holly doesn’t have Mel there so she’s partnered with Michelle at the start who doesn’t go easy on her like Mel might’ve.

And then Michelle partners Holly up with Nathan. She sort of wanted to hit Nathan a bit yesterday. And today she may have hit the pads on him a little bit harder than she really needed to.
And man, does she look scary throwing a right cross. I pity her boyfriend!

Ajay has the fatties stand out the front of the house and announces it’s Temptation time!
Ben used to get a pie from the local bakery or instead of cooking at home he’d go to the takeaway shop!

Nathan and Andrew will retain immunity if nobody decides to partake today, giving them a third week in a row.
Cameron’s determined not to let that happen. Even if he has to eat half a horse.
And waste the other half? Geez.

And the temptation today? DONUTS!!! nom nom nom!
Sitting in the middle of the table is a wooden spoon. You’ll have 60 seconds to grab the spoon. If one part of the couple grabs the spoon then they both have to eat the donut to progress.
If neither couple partakes the current holder of immunity wins and the other couple is out.

First up is Nathan and Andrew as current holders of immunity. They get to choose who they’ll challenge first.
They decide to go after Team Green, Ben and Sean.

Before going in they were adamant they wouldn’t go for it. Unless it’s under 150 calories each, then they might.
The kitchen’s been turned into a bakery and Sean says a month and a half ago he’d’ve probably grabbed a couple of caramel slices and got stuck in!

Ajay says the alpha and beta meet again. Nathan points to himself and says alpha and points at Green and says Zeta!
Ben says Nathan has obviously got his facts wrong!

First on the menu is a mini cinnamon donut at 70 calories!
Mmmmm, mini cinnamon donut.

Your 60 seconds starts… after the ad break, of course!

60 seconds starts… NOW.SEANGRABSSPOON.
Nathan and Andrew congratulate them. Nathan says he hopes they go all the way and eat many more donuts!

Awww, tiny donuts!

Now Ben and Sean have immunity and the power of The Walk.

Meaghan and Julie are challenged by the Greens. Meaghan says she was expecting Andrew and Nathan to still be there!

190 calories in a jam donut? That’s not so bad and that’s what’s on the menu next.
Time starts… now.
Sean’s not worried if anyone else wants to have a crack at immunity, they are sure they’ll be above the line anyway and they just wanted to make sure Andrew and Nathan didn’t have it.
Meanwhile, time’s up! Nobody has partaken of the jam donut of deliciousness. Mine?

Cam and Sam are their next victims.
Cameron’s big downfall isn’t big meals it’s all the bad things he has between meals.
And he’d die for a donut!

Next dish… Cameron is sniffing from 5 foot away.
It’s “a very tasty mini mudcake donut.” Ajay informs us with a huge grin on her face.
Cam asks if it’s only one? Ajay asks if it’s a favourite of his while trying not to laugh too much.
“You looked like you were going to inhale that!” – Ajay. Please Mr Producer Man, let THIS Ajay come out more!

Anyway, the donut has a huge 222 calories.

Time starts… now!
Nope. Nobody’s going for it.
Sam says Cam’s eyes were popping out of his head but she grabs his hand for support. Sam keeps taking his attention away from the donut.

They finally make it and get past the Temptation. “We came, we crossed the line, we all stood on Fitzroy Island together. And I don’t need it anymore.” Cameron, over footage from the episode where they all turned down their favourite foods and dumped them in the trash!

Next up is Amanda and Stewart. Amanda says the smell is magnificent as they come into the kitchen.
Strawberry glazed donut is next. They have 264 calories! Good lord, I had two of them the other day! :-D

Amanda and Stewart consider it. Amanda asks Stewart if they need it and Stewart immediately answers no! Can’t stop at one. And Amanda says to us that she’s not ready yet. If she gives in then she undoes the good work she’s already done.

Amanda says it doesn’t matter which of the boys have immunity as they won’t need it… but if it’d still been Nathan and Andrew they might’ve gone for it anyway.

Holly’s next. She gets tempted by lollies, chips, cakes… she’d love a piece of chocolate cake right now!
Because Mel’s still with the Commando, Holly is competing by herself and will only have to eat one donut.

322 calories, cinnamon scroll donut. With some nice looking glaze on it, yummy!

The boys say it’s a bit of a risk not going for it with Holly there because she might be feeling a little vulnerable and might go for it, but they stick to their guns and Holly manages to resist Temptation.

Teresa’s next, also alone due to lack of Sharif.

“Chocolate mousse and jam stuffed donut sensation. Weighing in at FOUR HUNDRED CALORIES.” I think even Ajay’s getting tempted now and bugger the consequences!
Teresa says it’s like four tins of tuna and Ajay retorts, “and immunity!”
But Teresa and Sharif had an agreement that they wouldn’t take Temptation unless they absolutely had to.

Ben and Sean still have the immunity!

Just Bob and Tiffany left. Bob’s pleased to see Ben and Sean still there because they’d obviously taken immunity away from the other boys!

And of course the best Temptation is last.

“A super size donut. Filled with jam, cream and chocolate. And a whopping one thousand, two hundred and seventy five calories.”
It’s a huge donut. Just… huge. It’d feed a regular human for the whole day. Maybe even two!

Tiffany’s not sure if Bob will go for it. It’s only as many calories as they’re allowed in a day!
Bob starts faking moving his hand to the spoon, messing with the boys’ heads.
Sean ends up closing his eyes to tough it out.

Everyone files back into the kitchen to find out who won.
The winners are of course Ben and Sean! Lots of well done’s. Wry smile from Nathan. Which disappears once Ajay tells them the boys only ate that first 70 calories!

Then some time later they’re all asked to walk out to the parade ground. Mel and Sharif are still MIA and they think maybe they’re coming back now, or perhaps a challenge?

Ajay’s there to tell them The Biggest Loser Experience is by no means an easy one. Their achievements have been incredible, but one person in particular has done very well!
For two weeks in a row Bob has been the biggest loser, losing a total of 20kg so far including a Week 2 record!

Bob is about to get the biggest surprise yet. A prize more precious than all the immunities combined!

“Bob, this is our way of saying well done.”
Everyone kind of stands around for a bit as nothing happens. Then a tiny human head appears coming up some stairs. It’s Bob’s granddaughter! Tiffany’s daughter.
“Isabel!” “MUMMYYYYY!” Both of them go running across the parade ground to each other. Tiffany’s rambling on about how it was the best feeling ever and she’s so precious to her and so on.
And then Bob’s son Ben comes up the stairs too. Surprisingly they don’t let little kids travel to Fat Camp by themselves!
Ben’s Tiffany’s husband. Jan is Bob’s wife and she also turns up!
Bob and Jan have been together since they were 16 and not been apart more than a night since then, Tiffany says.

Bob tells Jan he’s lost 20kg and she’s ecstatic!
They take their family folk inside the shiny new house for a short tour… prior to them getting day release from Camp Biggest Loser!
They show them around the entire house and last but not least, the trophy room. With Bob’s name up on the honour board twice!
Jan’s stunned, she thought maybe he’d find it a bit too hard. She had faith in him, she was just worried.
“You know why it’s not too hard? Because I’m doing it for you.” Aww!

Tiffany and Bob get to take a trip to a nice secluded beach for their day out.
Tiffany and Bob also have lots of nice things to say about the other’s progress. Tiffany’s full of smiles, telling her husband she’s having an excellent day!
Jan wants to go kayaking one day and Bob says they will, as a family even!

Bob says he’ll never let himself get fat again. He’s making the change now.

But now it’s time to say goodbye.
Bob’s saying a lot to Jan and Jan’s responding and so forth. Tiffany’s mostly just burying her head in her husband’s chest. Poor thing is in tears once they leave.

Tomorrow night it’s time for The Walk again!
It all looks super dramatic! So expect something weird like… you all get to ride ponies for a week.

Yeah, that’ll totally be it.
