TBL Australia 4×15: Fallout from last night’s elimination continues…
Previously on The Biggest Loser… oh wait, Harold’s dying again? Ho hum.
Jeda and Jodi were eliminated last night, much to many viewer’s delight! Nathan and Andrew had their scheming, manipulative ways well and truly exposed.
Well, Nathan did. It’s unclear how nasty Andrew is, versus how much of a sheep he is.
Tonight on The Biggest Loser, huge fallout from the elimination! Holly’s annoyed at the way Nathan spoke to her during the elimination. And she ain’t the only one upset…
And couples torn apart! Half of the contestants are lead through the gates of hell. “Well well well, look who drew the short straw tonight!” – Commando Steve, looking buff as ever!
Everyone heads into the lounge to talk about the elimination. Awkward silence!
Cameron finally speaks up to say that the worst thing on the show is doing the elimination. And Holly says it was even worse copping a mouthful for it.
Nathan says he doesn’t regret saying it though!
Ben tries to point out that everyone’s got to vote at some point, it’s not personal.
Mel says her and Holly knew it was the right thing – neither of them much liked Jodi and Jeda. And voting them out breaks up their little alliance.
Nathan expects if he and Andrew go under the Line, they’ll be gone. Not happy about it, but he thinks everyone sees them as the alpha male, or the “threat” or whatever.
Nathan has an aside to say that he’s learning not to hold his feelings back so much while at Fat Camp.
Nathan says to them that he wanted Jedi to stay to help them further his journey.
Holly’s still peed off that they were attacked. Nathan still regrets nothing! He had a plan in his head and it didn’t work.
Nathan still thinks they had a deal with Holly that they’d get to pick the extra vote.
Holly reminds him that they said they’d take into consideration what the boys had to say, and they did. But they didn’t agree with what they said.
Nathan thinks Holly’s shown it’s a game of deceit, leading them up the garden path.
You mean like the way you were trying to lead everyone else up that same path?
He says to them that two people have gone home that wanted to stay and two people that wanted to leave (Holly and Mel) have stayed.
Sharif, Teresa, Ben and Sean seem to be up on the parapets of the building. Cool!
They’re chatting about how Nathan lost perspective, he’s hurting and now has lashed out against Holly.
Sharif says to us that he’s disappointed for them, both for being exposed and for the way they conducted themselves when things didn’t go their way.
Cam says to Meaghan and Julie that Nathan’s started the game, but on the wrong foot. Meaghan agrees and says they’ve shown their colours way too early.
Meaghan actually gets along with the boys really well, but now nobody’s going to trust them.
Nathan and Andrew have realised they’ve being exposed, so they’re deciding to just go hard and walk over anyone who gets in the way.
Apparently not content with being exposed as a manipulative scumbag, Nathan declares that he’ll be doing everything in his power to sabotage Holly and Mel’s stay, and he’ll let them know that it’s all him.
Yes, that’s right, he’s going to sabotage two young girls’ chances at kicking their life of flab.
Fingers crossed they get a 40kg penalty in the next weigh-in!
Cameron and Sammy have a DVD in their room that they can take to the lounge room to watch.
Cameron puts it in the player, getting his smudgy fingers all over the shiny side!
TV comes on and… it’s his daughter’s wedding! Sammy’s sister’s wedding! Awwww!
Wow, his daughter is really pretty! Very nice dress, too. Not ridiculously overdone, just nice and swish and white.
The bridesmaids are in nice blue dresses. Apparently Sammy was supposed to be one of them.
They’re both in tears now, pretty much bawling their eyes out. Awwww!
“Sam and Cam! Sam and Cam! Sam and Cam!” Daughter and Mum chanting to the camera.
Cameron declares that he’s not going to sook anymore! His mind is at ease, she definitely got married so it’s back to the task at hand – getting fitter, losing weight and helping Sammy.
Michelle and Shannan rock up after elimination. They’re both hoping it’s not one of their team that’s gone home.
Poor Shannan has no such luck this week – Jeda and Jodi are gawn!
Shannan says they had so much to lose. He’s crushed by Jodi’s 1.5kg loss.
Shannan says that both girls were questioning whether what they were doing justified being away from their families. Shannan thinks they were second guessing themselves and lost that little bit of a mental edge. And it’s sad because he doesn’t think they’re ready for it.
Shannan’s stoked with Amanda and Stewart’s weightloss. Especially Amanda’s as she’d missed a bunch of training. Amanda’s very proud of Stewart for stepping up while she was gone.
Then Shannan asks how the mood in the house is and they all say their team is fine, the other team’s in tatters though!
Michelle gives Bob a kiss and a hug for being the biggest loser yet again! She heaps the praise up very high upon him!
She’s also very enthusiastic about Tiffany’s 3kg loss. She says that week 2 is renowned for being a minimal weightloss week.
Michelle’s really happy with Mel and Holly’s loss. Everyone was figuring they’d be under the line but they pulled through!
She’s also stoked by Nathan and Andrew, saying they’re on fire!
Bear in mind, this was filmed before the Melbourne bushfires…
Tiffany says they were all above the Yellow Line.
But Michelle can tell something’s up because they’re all a bit flat considering how well they’d done!
Nathan speaks up and lets her know what happened. Cue recap of what happened, yada yada yada.
Nathan says they’d thought they were in accordance and Holly butts in to say not in accordance and I think Mel says something about not getting into it again.
Cameron then speaks up, finally, to say that they shouldn’t’ve gone to the girls to tell them how to vote.
Nathan says he went to them and, he didn’t tell them how to vote… Cameron then points out that he’s very upset about it, because they didn’t vote the way he wanted.
Nathan says his lesson is that he has to do it with Andrew, and that’s it.
Michelle sees the argument going around in circles.
Holly says all she wants is an apology and Nathan says she won’t be getting one!
Nathan again says that it should’ve been them to go. And says to us that if Holly ran as much as her mouth did, she wouldn’t need to be there.
Hello Mr Pot. Have you met my friend Kettle?
Holly asks him if he saw their loss, were they not above the Yellow Line?
Nathan says it doesn’t matter, he’s saying they shouldn’t be there.
Holly arcs up a bit and says that the first week, yes, she wanted to go home, but they got a second chance and they took it and turned around the way they think.
Holly is infuriated that Nathan’s trying to say they’ve done nothing but say they want to go home. All they said was they wanted to be under the Yellow Line so they wouldn’t have to put someone else out of the game.
That annoys Nathan, he says, because it’s disrespectful and rude to all the other people who applied to be on the show to say they could do it at home.
Which isn’t what Holly and Mel said. They just didn’t want that double vote sending someone home.
“You’re not here to be under the Yellow Line, you’re here to lose weight and succeed in everything you do. That is what you cannot understand.” – Nathan
Michelle says she’s done, stop it now. Nathan decides he’s done too and gets up and walks out. Michelle asks him if that’s going to solve it? Nathan says he’ll be back shortly.
Michelle sees Nathan has some control issues going on with his team. But he can’t control other teammates and the way the game runs. He’s got to let the control go.
Michelle tells them she’s glad it’s out on the table, but they’ve got to move beyond it now.
Shannan has his shiny happy fatties off to the sports oval. The have a new training partner today – The Enforcer.
No, not Kirsten from last season, it’s a scrum machine and they’re going to be doing rugby type training today. Passing the balls, scrumming with the Enforcer, etc.
Meaghan says it felt good to knock Sean on his butt. She thought he was going to barge her (she had a crash pad on, that WAS the idea) so she barged back and knocked him down!
But then the scary starts. Meaghan’s having a little trouble breathing, clutching at her throat. Shannan’s seen Meaghan work out before and there’s no way she’d fake an injury to get out of a work out, so there was obviously something up.
The Medic has her sitting down and has a bit of a listen to her chest and then puts her on some oxygen to see if that helps. Shannan’s a bit worried because he could tell something was constricting her throat, which is never a good thing!
The medic says they’ll have to monitor her to make sure nothing else happens. They think it’s probably just an allergy from the grass or something, but she can’t continue training today.
Then Shannan has her Mum Julie on the scrum machine. She gets it about halfway down the field before falling off and landing pretty roughly. She clutches at her chest and starts moaning about her chest. Shannan’s pretty sure she’s just winded herself and having done that a few times myself, I’d say so too!
Shannan says the old Julie would have just fallen over and given up. But today she dusted herself off, got up and finished the training. It shows a lot of guts!
Then they do the “For life!” thing again. It was so much better when it was Blue For Life.
Michelle’s got her people out on the parade ground. They’ve got some tires lashed together and they all will be working by themselves today.
The girls each have two tires attached to themselves, the boys three. They start out doing laps, walking one leg and running round the rest.
Michelle gets Holly aside to tell her she’s proud of her for sticking up for herself, she stuck up for what she believed in and she didn’t cry! Michelle doesn’t care who was right or wrong.
That gave Holly a big boost.
Nathan’s pretty quiet today. So she’s going to start digging on him. She sits on his tires and makes him drag the tires and herself across the grounds.
Oddly, Michelle has pink trainers, despite the rest of her outfit being black. Dag!
Then they start doing running races up and down the parade ground. Andrew does a “there and back” in 21 seconds first up.
The girls decide to try and smash that. Mel says it was good to try and let out the anger from earlier in the day. And Holly’s very proud of Mel beating Andrew’s time! And Mel says it was great beating Andrew!
So then Nathan realises he’s got to turn it up. He couldn’t let a yellow banana beat him!
And crikey, he’s running very fast. Have to wait for ad break to find out if he wins or not!
He’s got an early lead, of quite considerable size. Eighteen seconds he ends up with, beating Mel’s twenty seconds. Michelle tries to get everyone to give him a clap for winning.
Was that crickets? But it’s still daylight? Hmm.
Nathan’s also got some major issues with his career and his life outside. It’s not just his weight getting him down. He has a lot to get rid of, he “owns a lot of things.”
Nathan thinks the things made him into the person he is, but that’s a person who doesn’t like himself very much.
He’s spent 14 years looking after other people (he’s a disability support worker) and that can be taxing. Then one day at work things came to a head. A situation he had no control over.
“Someone.. got hurt”? He’s sobbing and crying too much to tell exactly what he said. It’s obviously something big that he can’t really talk about. Not so much because he doesn’t feel capable but there’s likely privacy concerns.
Nathan says it’s very disappointing because he thought he was strong enough to handle it all, but he has nightmares every night. Of all these terrible things. He says he’s good at being a support worker, but he doesn’t want to do it anymore – it’s killing him!
He’s a 32 year old man who’s broken and needs to be fixed. He’s got four kids who need a Dad but he’s… broken.
Michelle tells him he needs to let some of that go, you can’t save everyone. Which he knows, but he’s done it for so long and Michelle says he’s done it because it makes him feel good.
Michelle says they’ll find other things that make him feel worthwhile. “With every breakdown there’s a breakthrough.” She knows she says that a lot but she believes in it big time.
Nathan says he’ll use this and thanks Michelle.
Awww man, it’s really hard to keep hating on him after that.
… but I’m sure I’ll find a way!
Some of the people wander into the lounge room and find a letter to everyone so Teresa gets the job of running upstairs to grab everyone.
They’ve worked hard all week but it’s time for a change of scenery. But only for half of them!
But they have to decide quickly, the cars are waiting!
Sharif says no way is Teresa getting to go this time, she got to go last time! So Sharif’s going.
Andrew’s going because Nathan went last time.
Mel’s decided she’s going, Holly’s freaking out because she thinks they’ll be seperated until the end.
Holly’s in tears and tells Mel that she wanted to be best friends again by the time they get out. Mel’s all perky and telling her to stop crying, you don’t know what’ll happen yet! Stop crying, you look silly!
Awww, sisters are lovely!
Julie’s got to go because Meaghan’s still under medic supervision.
Cameron can be heard asking, “Who’s going to look after me now?” You, you fat git!
The two groups are an odd mix as half head off in the car. Mel’s happy! Holly’s starting to break into tears again. Meaghan seems okay, Julie looks petrified, etc.
They end up heading off into the bush and come to a clearing… with a bunch of army looking stuff in the middle.
Everyone suddenly realises it’s Commando time!
“Are you scared?” – Commando
Sammy in an aside, “Scared? Yep! Tick!” She even does the ticky gesture!
Steve says they look scared. He’s going to have some fun!
He likes training outside, outside their comfort zones.
They’ve got to move all the equipment from one end of the clearing to the other. Barrels, sandbags and whatnot. They had to shift them under a cargo net.
They’re not doing it good enough though, not for the Commando’s liking. So they have to do a bunch of pushups.
It’s all about teamwork, tonight’s session. They finally realise they can lift the cargo net and have people stand under it to hold it up, making the shifting work much easier.
Sharif and Andrew are barking commands and getting the team working together very well.
Steve says Mel’s good, she doesn’t draw too much attention she just gets it done.
Mel can feel the dirt in her hair, on her face, even in her ears! All she wanted to do was have a hot shower and go to bed!
Commando Steve says you’ve got to be hard, but fair.
It’s time for burpies!
Steve can tell Julie’s having a hard time, so he comes in for some extra motivational words.
She’s still struggling, last one she struggles to stand up and Andrew offers his hand. So it seems he’s more sheep than shithead!
The training was tough, Steve said. But it was lacking one ingredient.
It’s called “Mr Hose!”
He has them all doing bridges while they all get hosed down.
“It’s just water. It’s like any obstacle that you have in your life. Deal with it, get over it and get on with it!”
Now they’re all moving stuff around under the cargo net again. While getting hosed down again!
“What did I say at the start? You’re in my what?” “WORLD!”
Awww yeah! He’ll make troopers out of them yet!
Julie needs someone pushing her, which helps her a lot. She’s struggling to crawl across the ground but she has Sammy and Tiffany on either side of her, encouraging her to keep going and clearing some of the twigs out of the way for her.
And then Mr Hose returns! It’s only water!
Steve says he was tough on Julie but he wanted to prove she could, in fact, get through it, even what he throws at her.
He tells them all that they’re stronger than they know. Confidence will get them through hardship, and it will build on itself. When they’re done and go back to the outside, they’ll have all the confidence they need to deal with real life.
Suck it up and get out of here!
… not so fast, Mel and Sharif!
Steve says they didn’t lose enough weight at the last weigh-in… so now they’re his. They’re in his world now!
Looks like they’re getting some special training with Commando Steve. “Just suck it up!”
And Temptation? DONUTS. GIMMEGIMMEGIMME. GIMME!!!
