TBL Australia 4×10: The race draws to its conclusion and the new house is revealed!

Previously… the Race begins!
Tonight… the Race finishes. Maybe. A three day super event, anyone?

Oh, I hope not…

They need to get from the airport in Sydney all the way to North Head. Apparently.
Cue recap footage of them all freaking out over how to get there. And a slow-mo of Sammy running to the table jiggling much like Homer on the treadmill. Poor thing.

Teresa and Sharif manage to bum a ride off a Qantas shuttlebus. He agrees to give them a ride off to the North Head location.
As they’re heading off in the shuttlebus they see Sammy and Cameron trying to hitch a ride. The Qantas chappy agrees to give them a ride, too!

Andrew and Nathan meanwhile are cruising along in their airconditioned minivan. They’re quite chuffed!
Amanda and Stewart get off the bus at Rockdale (?) and catch a train to Circular Quay, I guess since they have Ferry Tickets.

Bob and Tiffany only have the $10 they scabbed on the train, but they went and had a talk to a gate guard who agreed to let them have the ride for free.
Jeda and Jodi are already on the ferry and try and hide from Bob and Tiffany when they come on. Then they be antisocial and try to avoid talking to them to try and not let on that they’re… going to sprint off the ferry, much as they sprinted off the sailboat. Gits.

Fred’s a top bloke, Andrew and Nathan declare. He took them all the way to the new house. And they run up to the house, hand in hand. Literally, hand in hand.

… gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! :-D

They’re stoked at having immunity again and getting to go on The Walk again.

Cameron and Sammy know they’re not going to win because Sharif and Teresa are ahead of them. But they’re okay with that, as are Teresa and Sharif, after having been dead last!
Cameron’s pleased as he’s never been that close to the front of the line in a foot race before!

Jodi and Jeda then… break in line at the taxi rank. The people waiting let them but still, bit rude!
The people waiting also let Bob and Tiffany grab a cab ahead of them too though.
Jodi and Jeda are stoked to finally finish.

Meanwhile Ben and Sean are confident they’re getting the immunity, even though they’re still on the ferry!

Bob and Tiffany arrive, with Sharif walking alongside them for support.

Ben and Sean get to Manly, finally. They think they’re going alright.
Holly and Mel and Julie and Meaghan run into Stewart and Amanda, all waiting for the bus it seems.

Ben and Sean eventually get to the house, gutted that they’d been beaten, despite wandering around the city for ages. Hmm.

Holly was a bit shocked at how many people scammed lifts along the way, they had it easier than the sisters!

Meaghan’s worried about coming in last. But Mum Julie is struggling along.
Sharif’s worried about Amanda and Stewart, doesn’t want them to come last. He runs down the road again to encourage them to the finish line, but Amanda’s gutting it out again and they get there!

Then Julie and Meaghan get some assistance from one of the Jedi and Sharif. Julie’s struggling to breathe, but they’re last so they probably could’ve dawdled.

Meaghan was angry about coming last but then seeing her Mum doubled over and vomiting, she couldn’t stay angry.

They all made it in the end though! I was sure some of them would end up as sharkbait.

After yet another ad break they walk the rest of the way up the hill to the new house. There’s a huge showground out the front with a bunch of flags fluttering in the breeze. Looks to be not so many whiny neighbours for them.

Holly’s expecting the Commando’s going to come out the doors of the big, imposing building.
But no, it’s only Ajay! Who’s looking very cheerful for a change. Let her be herself, please Mr Producers!

Ajay says the White House is no more. “Welcome to Camp Biggest Loser.” Yes, that’s going to do wonders for the “Fat Camp” label!

Today, they’re all winners, Ajay says. Only one couple came first – Andrew and Nathan. They have immunity and another week in the competition.
Julie and Meaghan came last, “despite a brave effort.”

The consequences are indeed related to the bags of sand. Which each couple will now step up and place on the scales conveniently provided.
Now people are starting to twig that maybe they’re going to be penalised by the weights in everyone’s bags.
Personally I’d’ve poured the sand back out on the beach at Fitzroy, just to mess with the producers!

Apparently all the sandbags only weigh 2kg. And they’ll be added to Julie and Meaghan’s weight at the next weigh-in as a penalty. Not unexpected, still a little lame!

Ajay says they’re going to get a new start in a new home. Go inside, make yourselves at home… but don’t get too comfortable!

I swear Michelle just told me your body works better with bogan…

They all head into the new house… And it’s huge! Just the entryway along is massive!
They’re all awed and excited to see the new digs. The new lounge room is enormous.

It’s quite a boxy layout, I guess it really is as old as the building looks.
The kitchen is a huge one, obviously intended for catering events and whatnot.
And the new fitness rooms look pretty nice, too. Lots of shots of previous season’s contestants working out on the wall.

“I like spin. You just totally go ballistic and nuts and kill yourself on them, it’s great!” – Teresa

Turns out the entire house is full of nice glossy pictures. Each of them go around and pick out some of their favourites. They think the pictures will be very inspiring.

Another nice touch is the “leaderboard”. They have the previous season’s best percentage losses per week alongside people’s names. And now Bob’s the first person under the 2009 header!

Holly’s telling Mel that Sam was only 19 and he won. Mel’s 18… Mel says, “Imagine if we won!”

Teresa’s very inspired by Pati. She’s like a hero in the islands, apparently.

Jodi wants to show Jeda Alison’s inspirational quotes and pictures. Including this gem, “If I can overcome the challenge of being away from my family and lose the weight, what can I not do?”
Jodi thinks she’s so pure and inspirational, etc.

Then someone finds the big display case with the $400,000 prizemoney in it.
Mel wants to play with it!
Jodi says she doesn’t care about it. Nathan reckons people saying they’re not motivated by it aren’t telling the truth.

Mel’s sure she can live in the house for the next few months, Tiffany’s going to change her life, etc.

The Walk is on again tomorrow night and will give a couple “unprecedented power”.

And Amanda has a “shock secret” which could put her journey in jeopardy. She’s on the phone with someone saying she doesn’t want to go home so I’m guessing she’s going to be given a choice and not just turfed.

Find out tomorrow night… probably. They may put the final decision off until Friday, just to toy with us.
